Tennyson Beach: what do users think?

Mick O: Hauntingly beautiful, ruggedly real a visceral experience had by all

t clarke: My favourite Adelaide beach. The dune regeneration is gorgeous

Carradean Farley: Amazing. And incredible how different it is once you hit Tennyson compared to Semaphore.Nice little ‘secret area’ and would recommend Tennyson is you have a family and just want to chill by a great beach. This share thing in the photos is great is you can snag it.

Ares RS: This wide sandy beach, bordered by dunes and bushes, offers a serene escape. The tranquility is occasionally disrupted by a snake warning near the dune bushes, urging caution. Despite this, it's an ideal spot for a peaceful picnic, with ample space and a calming ambiance. The seclusion makes it perfect for those seeking solitude, though it might be too isolated for some. A leisurely walk along the shore reveals the beauty of the surroundings, and dog owners will appreciate the freedom to stroll with their furry companions. Overall, a picturesque destination with a few considerations for those who prioritize both tranquility and safety.

Angela: Simply a gorgeous little hidden away beach spot away from the hustle and bustle

Gerald Varley: Nice beach, sand dunes.

Hong Nguyen: It was a winter morning, I sat in front of the ocean to catch the wind from the sea blowing on the long stretch of white sand.Tennyson is gentle and loving every time I come. Perhaps, this peaceful space will be suitable for those who want to enjoy quiet moments alone or with loved ones in the vast natural space. Gentle waves remind me of human life, though seemingly long, passing gently. Our future will depend on how we share understanding and spread love...

pei photographer: local beach

Jessica Dias: This beach is wonderful for taking children, as it has no waves and is not deep. Great for people who like calm beaches too, as there are few people. I recommend

Prof. Hayes: A nice south Oz beach secluded peaceful great thing about Adelaide beaches beautiful white sand that goes for miles yet we'll spend thousands of dollars to travel to a tropical paradise that has a postage stamp sized beach aren't we lucky we can afford to do that??? So just a thought let's have lunch at Glenelg or sema 4 or Largs pick one we have a hundred

Lauren T: Best beach in Adelaide

Shilo Gregory: Such a beautiful beach to walk on

Paige Harper: Nice area with gold park lands

Sharleen P: Interesting how vast it is away from the road. A mix of feelings as its more of a family oriented place. Not many places to sit given the 'bird sanctuary' but overall lovely walk. Clean, no graffiti. Wheelchair friendly

Regex Green 817: It is a splendid park to roam around as it includes a set of two restrooms and a path towards A15 Tapleys Hill Road near Davis Bridge joining the Reece Jennings Bikeway

Hannes Potgieter: Beautiful park. Wide open spaces and plenty to do. Tennis courts, pipe track for bicycles and basket ball hoops.

Astrid Tuul: Fantastic park with bike track, wetlands, playground. Bbq facilities, restrooms. Trees. Huts with tables and chairs. Well worth a visitPlayground: Fantastic playground for all ages especially toddlers

Jo Jo: It is a great place for kids, with various slides, swings, trampoline and net for climbing... There is a pond and bump track nearby for BMX bikes

Nick: I have been in the area looking for a nice RnR.This certainly is a stand out property

Gemma Marchesan: This beach house is pretty good right?only if they had more activtys and more amazing water slides it would be 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

Heather Lawson: and plenty of living room space. Easily enough room for two families. The kitchen has everything you need, there's a full laundry room and even a beach toy cupboard! Host Amy is super helpful and friendly. We loved being across the road from the beach and a short walk from lots of fab restaurants

Clyde Rigney: Great location, perfect place to unwind, beach, food, coffee and McLaren Vale nearby for some wine tasting 👍🏾

Henk deVisser: Top position. Cleaners need to pay attention to detail.A new oven needed as does not heat properly. No desert spoons in drawers, so had to use soup spoons.Otherwise would recommend.

Graham Mylett: An amazing pact to visit. The Art Gallery has changed so much over the years, and the collections are incredible. Great accessibility too.

mandyGoTravelling: .The Gallery is renowned for its collections of Australian art, including indigenous Australian and colonial art, from about 1800 onwards. The collection is strong in nineteenth-century works

Jon Turn: Visiting this Art Gallery was a rewarding experience. The gallery houses an impressive range of artworks, with a strong focus on Australian art. The space is thoughtfully organized, and the staff are accommodating. However, some of the exhibits felt somewhat disjointed, lacking thematic coherence. The gallery's historical pieces are particularly noteworthy, but the modern art sections could use more context and explanation. Overall, it's a pleasant outing for art enthusiasts, though improvements could enhance the visit.

Wayne Hall: An excellent place to spend your timeVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Eliza Conney: The gallery houses a wide range of artwork, from indigenous pieces to contemporary collections. The building itself is architecturally pleasing, and the exhibitions are well-organized. However, I found that some sections could use more detailed descriptions. It's a good spot for art lovers, but casual visitors might not find it overly engaging.

Rebecca Chaudhary: Easy to visit by tram and walking. Nice historical looking building. I saw the King Henry viii inspired gallery and it is beautiful. There is gallery shop. One note is the staff there wear suits, so you might stick out/ not blend in wearing casual clothes. They have paper maps of gallery available.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Nicole Stewart: To my surprise, this gallery turned out to be quite remarkable. The collection featured stunning artwork in a variety of styles, from Impressionist and Dada to Chinese, Renaissance, religious, and contemporary. Two pieces that really stood out were the evocative horse corpse and the striking white room filled with red yarn. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

KOBUS VAN WYK: I recently visited the National War Memorial and was deeply moved by the experience. The memorial is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The exterior is impressive, but it's what's inside that truly resonates. Be sure to pop inside to see the honor roll, which pays tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service. It's a sobering and humbling experience that puts things into perspective. Lest we forget, indeed. A must-visit for anyone seeking to understand the true cost of war and the importance of remembering those who fought for us.

Aason Than: A place to spend a little bit of time pondering on the sacrifices of all the soldiers whom fight for their country's ideals. Here's hoping from me to all world leaders to find a peaceful way to keep the boat steady. Peaceful competition for humanity and not brutal struggle for the lead.

See it: Displayed with dignity and in memorial those who served, protected and gave their life to protect our freedom.Surrounded by beautiful gardens with seating available, you are able to sit and reflect on an important part of our history. So many names are displayed, it is a reminder of the fragility of life and security.

Sun Rise: Was visiting Adelaide on a cruise recently. As we were exploring the city, & my 10 year old decided to walk inside. I followed her & noticed all these names. I told her my great grandfather came from Adelaide & died at Gallipoli in 1915. After racking my memory for his name, To my surprise I found his name. Wow, what a surprise, to find his name & remember my great grandfather.

The museum had lots of fruitful information about how the SA has been founded and the activities inside are fit for different range of ages i.e. children can paint some pre-provided prints of marine creatures to enjoy their time. Special thanks to the council for keeping this venue alive and educating.

Cheesy garlic bread was yum! My daughter got a scotch fillet steak medium rare. It wss a little more on the rare side but she didnt mind, she enjoyed it. I will say however it was a little fatty.
