Jennifer Marshall: Sad history for this Zoo, especially for George the Orangatan and various incidents that occurred from its inception. There was a wide and varied display of animals in clean enclosures. Enclosures could be much larger but I understand it's hard when there's only a limited amount of Zoo property. Overall, the amenities were great, the staff were informative and polite and the entrance fees were reasonable.

Jonathan Hu: Happy birthday Wangwang and Funi! Proudly as a lifetime member of Adelaide Zoo, I booked a flight all the way from Sydney to Adelaide in the last week of August 2024 to celebrate their birthday before they go back to China. And the giant pandas definitely make Adelaide Zoo the best zoo in Australia! They are so cute and adorable! I’m even thinking about moving to Adelaide so that I can go here every one or two days. The other animals such as little blue penguins are lovely as well.

Ebony Adams: My favourite part was the bats in the trees outside the zoo. Bats forever have my heart. I love bats #teambatsforeverVisited on Public holiday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Czt: I love the wine, it's a great experience. The entrance is free. If you want a tour, you must arrive at 11am with a guide and you must pay. You can tour it alone and sit in the restaurant where you can hear and taste all the wines you want, depending on what you like and the price of each glass.

Karl Perigo: Our lunch was absolutely delicious!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Rosie: You can come here from inside Botanic garden. They have a lot of wines to test with very modern system. They give you a card, insert the card to the machine, choose the wine and the amount you want to test, press the button and the wine comes out.The prices are from 3.7 dollars to 8 dollars for 25 ml of wine.I like the experience.

Grace G: Lovely spot for a wine flight and build-your-own platter, right by the botanic gardens

Frank Bruno: The self guided tour is somehow like ok that's it? Whas the matter? But the tasting experience with the wine on offer is fabulous. You can choose from various tasting scenarios.1. You choose from the so called flights, three of selected white wines, three of selected red wine es, three of selected sparkling g wines, three of selected sweet wines and three of selected top wines.

Ji-hoon Chung: I did not taste or experience it separately, but only toured the exhibition space once, so my evaluation is a bit ambiguous. The exhibition space is smaller than expected, but the exhibits are well organized.Tasting and dining are also available in the space on the first floor, so it would be a good idea to go there if it is inconvenient to go far from the city. It's a long enough distance to walk along the botanical garden.

Nathan Hong: Great selections of wine to tryWait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Aji Joseph George: Very good experience

寺島栄次郎: The contents of the exhibition were simple. There is a fee, but you can sample quite a few different types.Admission was free.

Wong Kok Soon: Nicely arranged and design despite relatively small area. There is in-door and out-door seating for your wine enjoyment inside botanic garden

Monike San: The National Wine Centre in Australia offers a mixed experience. The food, while tasting good, is rather ordinary. For the kids, we ordered fish and chips and fried chicken, and for the adults, chicken burgers. Unfortunately, everything was fried. However, the wine tasting is top-notch. Trying the flight of both red and white wines is a must. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir stood out, but all the selections were delicious. The wine exhibition, though informative, is small and could benefit from expansion to provide more insights into winemaking. Overall, the National Wine Centre shines in its wine offerings but could improve on its food and exhibition space.

B Thomas: Amazing food and wine! Loved the card system to test all the wines we wanted at our own pace!!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Ruud Maasdam: +The wine tasting system is greatWine selection is okAwesome building-The ‘museum’ needs a full rethink, old, too little ‘interaction’The staff at the tasting area need a ‘re-think’ as well, no energy no warmthMore boutique wines needed in tasting area

Wow Houseboats: Adelaide's Himeji Garden is a serene and beautifully designed Japanese garden located in the heart of the city. Opened in 1985, this garden is a symbol of the sister-city relationship between Adelaide and Himeji in Japan. It features traditional Japanese landscape elements, including tranquil koi ponds, meticulously manicured plants, and elegant stone pathways. The garden is divided into two main sections: the Shinto-inspired garden, which highlights the beauty of simplicity and natural harmony, and the more formal garden, showcasing classic Japanese landscaping techniques.

マロンパンケーキ: It was a very well-maintained and small garden, but it was a perfect and wonderful Japanese garden. Plants and flowers were all Japanese gardens themselves. I was impressed.

Kwangil Jeon: A beautiful park in Adelaide. It made me feel like I was in Japan for a short while.

Amber: smaller than i remember, but that’s not the garden’s fault at all. if you come on a good day, the garden is incredibly scenic & quiet. the big pond in the middle of the garden has turtles that often pop up & sucks that fly into the water. however, when it’s busy, the atmosphere is ruined fairly quickly

Kathy Nygaard: For Mother's Day, my two beautiful daughters & families bought me a High Tea voucher. Their families also bought them one each, so we booked in today for 12noon. My first time visiting. What an amazing, beautiful place to have a High Tea, lunch, dinner or just a get together. Wonderful, well dressed, happy staff. We were taken to a warm pleasant room with an open window area. All rooms have a wood fire, so on this cold day, it was very cosy. Our food was presented beautifully & tasted amazing. The only criticism we had, was the thick coffee cups on a saucer was what we were going to drink our lovely tea from !! What happened to a china cup for tea ? Pots were also made of heavy pottery. For the price, it is good value but big points lost for this type of service. Must change for this high quality restaurant.

Michael Staska: Thank you so much for making mums last lunch a beautiful experience for her. Simone and the team made her experience just beautiful - pretty in pink forever. xxx Leanne and Mike Staska

andrea melville: Just spent the long weekend at Mt Lofty House . It was a special occasion.. a 60 th birthday celebration with a private dinner for 18 people . Everything was spectacular… the location .. the service .. the whole experience was above and beyond !! I really can’t speak highly enough of the high calibre of the staff .I would award 10 stars if it was possible!!!

S G: Simply Magical! We are just back from a magnificent long weekend at Mount Lofty House. Mt Lofty House is a luxury hotel with many welcoming spaces to enjoy. Our rooms were beautiful and included everything you would expect in a luxury hotel. But what made our stay stand out is the 5 star service from the Mt Lofty House team. The staff made us genuinely feel welcome and that they were keen to deliver the long weekend stay we wanted. Our stay started with Shaun from Reservations putting together a package of activities and bookings tailored exactly to what we wanted to do. And then these happened effortlessly over the weekend. Thanks Shaun, it was a delight to work with you to put together our weekend. We loved the hotel history tour run by Chris, make sure you take it when staying. Chris made us feel very welcome anytime we saw him over the weekend. Thanks Chris, we are big fans of the champagne cocktails! Our weekend included some time at the fabulous Gatekeepers Day Spa. Thanks to Claire for an outstanding massage, it was the perfect way to end a day after walking in the Mt Lofty Summit national park nearby. We also want to say a big thank you to the staff in the Piccadilly Panorama breakfast restaurant who are delightful and made sure we enjoyed the delicious breakfast each day and the staff in the Hardy's Bar and Lounge for their warm service and tasty dinner. Staying at Mt Lofty House is a must-do luxury experience with all that the Adelaide Hills has to offer on your door step.

Kelly Holloman: A lovely destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features diverse wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, which are a highlight. The walking trails are pleasant, though some could benefit from better signage. The views from certain points are quite nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are adequate, with clean restrooms and picnic areas. It’s a great place for a relaxed day trip, but if you’re looking for more challenging hikes, you might find the trails here a bit easy. Overall, it's a solid choice for a nature getaway.

Brian LeBlanc: Cleland National Park is a good spot for nature lovers. The trails are straightforward and offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. Seeing native wildlife is a nice touch, though it can get a bit crowded during peak times. Facilities are basic but sufficient for a day trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for a local nature experience, but don’t expect solitude during busy periods.

Marian Kelly: Amazing place, loved getting up close to the animals.

Krystina Ebsary: I took my children here for a family day out. They all had an amazing time and loved the snake holding experience. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Liisa Grace Baun: Excellent hiking trail with stunning scenic views. There are plenty of rest stops along the way from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. While some parts are steep, they don't last long.

Lillian Pais: Nature at its best

Long Vu: Fresh air, very nice park with Kangaroo, Koala and other Aussie animals, nice experience for family with kids. Recommend to spend about 90mins here on the trip to Hahndorf

Restaurant Botanic: what do users think?

Ten Ton: The chefs here are a combination of both artists and scientists. This is not food served here, but beautiful and perfectly balanced taste stimulants whose flavours both confound and delight in their complexity. The best of which come before the maron, with the exception of the emu which is prepared in a way that patriotically rival the world’s best meats. Thanks to the excellent service, this is an exceptionally sophisticated experience and should be sampled by anyone who has the means. This experience would be best in the summer where twilight would allow visualisation of the garden surrounds and the preference for more sophisticated garden lighting, especially in the winter, is this restaurant’s only criticism. Bravo to the entire team.

Tim Quinney: A very unique experience. As the name suggests Botanics is definitely the theme of this restaurant and it's menu. Which personally I found to be at times challenging.Over the course of a few hours which never felt rushed, a very wide range of dishes were fed to us. There were none that were too difficult to palette but some that were a bit more floral than I perhaps was used to.The larger protein portions were all very tasty but I would say on the smaller end of fine dining tasting experiences.Overall I walked out feeling a little confused. It was certainly interesting but maybe not what I would say is delicious. Well worth the experience however.

AP MD: ADDIT: I have come back to Restaurant Botanic since their new head chef has started and am blown away by this places evolutionEverything that they excelled in before they have somehow taken to the next level. The delicacy and intricacy of each course is only overcome by the passion and complexity of the flavours. Everything this place does - whether it's food, service or environment - they do it to it's maximum potentialRestaurant Botanic has done amazing things for the South Australian food industry and I see no element of them slowing down. This time next year I believe they'll be spoken about on a global scaleIncredible experience and beautiful evolution - a must try for everyoneAdelaide's new restaurant has definitely made its mark. I was beyond blown away by the quality of the food, the devotion of the staff to making every little detail perfect, and the uniqueness of their approach. The food is not only amazing, but the entire experience is a journey. I see big things for this restaurant in the future, they should be very proud of themselves

James Alexandre: If you wish to experience the best Australia has to offer, and what we are all about, you must bring yourself to this restaurant and participate in the momentous journey Chef Jamie and Webster put in front of you. Their culinary artistry will evoke senses unknown to you prior to this experience. Every dish is a testament to their passion and mastery, transforming each bite into an unforgettable memory.

Frankie Lam: Cutting edge technique and creativity in using Australian local produces. Have both looks and favours. Very enjoyable 4 hours, do not think any other restaurant produce anything that can match this.Downside is service at the beginning, seems the bar and kitchen do not commute well and make it feel bit rush.Anyway, this is last week run by Justin James, will see if the new chef can maintain and improve the reputation.

Donna Stevens: First class attention to service for the customer, great welcome and attention through out the night.Highlight was the attendence to the table was from the pattisiere chef, that constructed the desserts. So nice to see someone from the kitchen at this price point.

Robert Scarborough: Mushrooms fudge dust with mushroom powder topped caviar. What who thinks of these things. The brilliant chef that’s. Who. I so glad they did.* A light fluffy mushroom delight with sea taste of delicious caviar. Brilliant way to finish. This was a night to remember a night of some of the best food I’ve ever tasted.I didn’t get to taste some of Botanic’s & Justin’s dishes. Though I did last week at Tasting Australia. What I did taste was the brilliance of Daniel & Tony from Sixpenny. A brilliance I am glad to have seen and eaten. I might just go to Sydney to do it again.WHAT A SENSATIONAL NIGHT.So after I walk for 30 minutes to a favourite bar. Taste 1/2 glass red. Nope body is so full of food I can’t even drink. Go figure. But true

Bob Elliott: Restaurant botanic should be rated as AAAAA. It really is a once in a life time experience. The friendly greeting by Tom and Ruby. Removing our coats and umbrella. The detailed explanation of the experience we were to have was first class. Each dish was beautifully presented with local shrubs, leaves, rocks from the botanic gardens being used to high light wash dish.If Tom or Ruby were not giving a detailed explanation one of the many excellent chefs were out. There were 29 diners on the night and the whole experience took 4 hours.I am already saving the pennies to go again.Well done

J H (justher): . I really want to try that duck but couldnt..If I do come again, I’ll do lunch just to get some time to walk around the garden as well.

It is a a tough hill to climb on bike but the satisfaction you get from having reached the summit is totally worth it. You can drive, ride or hike to the lookout. Road is a bit narrow and the traffic can get in the way at times whilst on a bicycle, which can make it a bit dangerous. Makes for a good challenge and workout.

Mrs B: and loved it, there was more than enough food despite the portions being quite small, as we expected. We tried some new foods we've not experienced and the cocktails were fabulous, the 2014 Pinot Noir was amazing. The spacing of generously sized tables was perfect for a quiet cozy dinner.

Eddie Uchenna: I recently dined at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant and found the experience to be good, though not outstanding. The ambiance is certainly a highlight, with stunning views of the vineyard. The food was well-prepared, but some dishes fell short in terms of flavor. The wine pairings, however, were spot-on, elevating the overall meal. Service was attentive but could have been more personable. It’s a place that caters well to special occasions, but it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression on me.

Brenna Landis: The tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary, with each delicious course presented beautifully. The chefs brilliantly showcased the best of South Australian produce, with innovative and comforting dishes. Every bite was amazing, and the Penfolds wines perfectly matched, enhancing the flavours of each dish. A special mention is the scallop and fennel course! The service was impeccable, with the staff friendly and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Their passion for food and wine was evident in how they described each course, adding to our enjoyment of the evening. We felt truly cared for, and the relaxed yet refined atmosphere made it easy to enjoy each other’s company. It’s the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening with friends. Highly recommended!

Nicholas Van Der Sluys: I make a habit of dining at Magill Estate Restaurant whenever I am in Adelaide - it really is quite exceptional. That said, and maybe it is a case of too much of a good thing having dined four times in 18 months, the menu, stellar as it is, doesn't change often enough, even with seasonality of produce.Service from the maître d' and sommelier can be frosty, though the English waitress that served our table on two of my four recent visits is outstanding. The wine pairings are rigid and expensive. I find it preferable to order a few glasses plus a bottle of a lovely back vintage than to commit to the pairing.

Allen Tang: My wife and I patron this amazing restaurant last Friday to celebrate our joint birthdays together. The service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted at the door till we left. Even though there was a main waiter assigned to our table, we loved the idea of having the different cooks bringing out our food and explaining the food as they served us. We had their Signature Tasting menu and as I was not a red meat eater, the replacement of the red meat with another was great and I was happy with them. We had a bottle of their GSM wine too. The ambience was great and our table look out to the night skyline of Adelaide. Kudos to the Chinese male server who took care of us through out the night. Will definitely come again to try their rest of their menu.Dietary restrictions: Great substitutions!Parking: Plenty of parking just outside the main restaurant.

There are some nearby walking trails if you’re interested in a bit of exercise. However, the summit can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays, which may detract from the experience. Parking is available but can be challenging to find during peak times. If you’re in the area and looking for a pleasant view, it’s worth a visit, but be prepared for the crowds.

Cristita Caballero: It was our friends birthday breakfast celebration at Riverside restaurant. My sister booked for about 25 or more people, I was quite impressed with the service especially with Chef Vivien Lee and Chief Annaya they try to get out of there way to make sure we are all satisfied and happy. They were very attentive and the food was delicious and fresh. Definitely love to come back at Riverside restaurant.

bjmckay3: Fantastic food and service and what a cracking location alongside the river Torrens had a great day sun was out will book again soon thankyou guys and girls and the chef!

Mike: Fairly relaxing atmosphere. Decent service and food

Delma Reed: Shiki Restaurant - fabulous experience.

Karin McGuire: We only had pre dinner drinks before going elsewhere for dinner. Also had after dinner cocktails which were delicious. Would look to dine there next time we stay.

Nassim Hemmati: This restaurant has a perfect buffet for breakfast, with a variety of delicious foods

Neha Wali: Have visited this place while I was staying at Intercontinental. The breakfast is included in the package. Their breakfast menu is pretty vast. You can choose one of the main dishes from the menu. The fruits, tarts, yoghurt, crossiant, coffee and juice are included with it.Ordered Intercontinental breakfast which is basically Omelette on sourdough with bacon, sausages, tomato, baked beans and hash brown. It was delish. Loved the quality as well as quantity. Tummy fully satisfied! Also ordered, omelette your way which was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chices, served with hash browns and roasted tomatoes.Their latte and cappuccino was fantastic, loved their coffee blend! This place serves quality as the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are flavourful!

Graham Mylett: An amazing pact to visit. The Art Gallery has changed so much over the years, and the collections are incredible. Great accessibility too.

mandyGoTravelling: .The Gallery is renowned for its collections of Australian art, including indigenous Australian and colonial art, from about 1800 onwards. The collection is strong in nineteenth-century works

Jon Turn: Visiting this Art Gallery was a rewarding experience. The gallery houses an impressive range of artworks, with a strong focus on Australian art. The space is thoughtfully organized, and the staff are accommodating. However, some of the exhibits felt somewhat disjointed, lacking thematic coherence. The gallery's historical pieces are particularly noteworthy, but the modern art sections could use more context and explanation. Overall, it's a pleasant outing for art enthusiasts, though improvements could enhance the visit.

Wayne Hall: An excellent place to spend your timeVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Eliza Conney: The gallery houses a wide range of artwork, from indigenous pieces to contemporary collections. The building itself is architecturally pleasing, and the exhibitions are well-organized. However, I found that some sections could use more detailed descriptions. It's a good spot for art lovers, but casual visitors might not find it overly engaging.

Rebecca Chaudhary: Easy to visit by tram and walking. Nice historical looking building. I saw the King Henry viii inspired gallery and it is beautiful. There is gallery shop. One note is the staff there wear suits, so you might stick out/ not blend in wearing casual clothes. They have paper maps of gallery available.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Nicole Stewart: To my surprise, this gallery turned out to be quite remarkable. The collection featured stunning artwork in a variety of styles, from Impressionist and Dada to Chinese, Renaissance, religious, and contemporary. Two pieces that really stood out were the evocative horse corpse and the striking white room filled with red yarn. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Steven Probert: Very good but not as good as Brisbane galleries

Di Ya: Wonderful well curated museum.Recommend to visit their shop, got a few really nice books there.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

M C: Absolutely excellent .Exceptional serviceExceptional wine listDelicious food .Fantastic serviceHats off to Angus on the floor.

Hung Tu: Food was exceptionally well prepared but not all the dishes hit the mark in terms of flavour. The good dishes included the bread, the beetroot, the duck and the potato side. The rest was pretty average tasting as a whole. The octopus dish wasn't pleasant to my taste buds and nose. Service was very attentive. Maybe next time the menu will hit the mark, however for me this time it was sadly a miss.

Martin G: last week while staying at Sequoia Lodge at MtLofty House. The degustation at HVR was truly the best degustation we have experienced in recent memory. Not extensive in terms of the number courses, but another great dining experience, not just artfully composed but thoughtfully substantial and paired with a range of local wines chosen by the very knowledgeable and passionate sommelier Abhas, who in his descriptions provided quite a wine class. We had a wonderful evening which we can attribute to a delicious menu and to Abhas and his colleagues who provided friendly, impeccable service and contributed to a great atmosphere. Grateful to Simone, Jenn and Edgardo who were really attentive, and made our night all the more enjoyable. Many thanks.

carole coventry: We booked the degustation menu here with wine pairing to celebrate my birthday.Whole evening was fabulous.Food was delightful- wine thoroughly enjoyed & ambiance & service superb.Thoroughly recommend !Thanks for a great evening !
