4worldlovers: Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga is the largest of the six squares and the centrepiece of Light’s plan, originally named ‘the Great Square’ by him. Covering eight acres, Light imagined that it would become the commercial hub for the settlement. In the Northern end of the square, the State Survey mark today commemorates the commencement of Light’s survey on 11 January 1837.

The statue of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) that stands in the centre of the square was cast in bronze made from copper mined in the South Australian towns of Wallaroo and Moonta.

Today the square is host to many events including Tasting Australia and the Tour Down Under Village.

The apartment is blessed to have extra living space with an outdoor deck that features a 6 seat outdoor setting, a 2 seat setting and a BBQ, all for your personal use. A 1.8 metre high rendered brick wall encloses the deck which provides both privacy and minimises noise. If you like, or need, a dark bedroom for a good night’s sleep then Archers Delight provides that with block out curtains in each bedroom.

"If you are looking for a well setup apartment close to everything then this is definitely the one for you. The apartment is beautifully presented and well equipped, with lots of little extras that make you feel welcome. Geoff has this setup so well it feels like staying at a friend’s place house sitting. The apartment was immaculate. The courtyard with its BBQ was an absolute bonus. The neighbourhood is excellent and being next door to the North Adelaide Village for shopping and restaurants was very convenient. Public transport is a short 2 minute stroll down the street, so having a vehicle is not necessary when travelling from interstate or overseas. For those wanting to keep fit it is just a walk into the CBD. Everything was just so easy from checking in to the end of our stay. Both the apartment and the surrounding areas felt safe and secure.
