Acacia Henley Beach: what do users think?

Melbo S: We had an excellent time for my partners birthday. The atmosphere was casual and we chatted to those at tables around us, comparing our meals. The service was friendly and prompt. We had steak, one tomahawk and one porterhouse, and both were absolutely delicious. We cook a pretty good steak over charcoal at home but these were another level. Juicy, tasty and tender. We ordered some sides as well which were tasy too. We will definitely be back.

Dylan Gibbson: Carnivore Henley Beach offers a fantastic dining experience, particularly if you're a meat lover. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Robbie, who made us feel right at home. He was not only welcoming but also took the time to chat with us, a gesture that continued throughout the night as he checked in to ensure our meal was perfect and that we had everything we needed. The rest of the wait staff mirrored Robbie's enthusiasm, making the experience even more enjoyable—they genuinely seemed to be having as much fun as we were!Dining as a group of four hungry men, we started with a couple of 750-gram rib eyes to really test the kitchen's skills. The steaks were made from Coorong Black Angus Beef, which set the expectation for quality right from the start. They were reverse-seared, basted in garlic butter, and chargrilled on an open flame. The steaks were served with rosemary sea salt in a red gum smoke-filled cloche, adding an impressive visual and aromatic element to the experience. We ordered the steaks rare, medium rare, and medium, and I was impressed by how perfectly each one was cooked—something I haven’t seen done so consistently before. I decided to add lobster as a topper to one of the rib eyes, curious about the hype, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The lobster was tender, buttery, and added a luxurious touch that not only enhanced the visual appeal but also became the star of the night. We didn’t stop there. We also shared a mega meats platter, which featured pork ribs, deep-fried chicken wings, and slow-cooked pulled pork, accompanied by crunchy, house-made slaw and pickles. The pork ribs, topped with a delicious sauce, were my personal favourite on the platter.Throughout the evening, we enjoyed their in-house lager, which was nicely sweet, and explored Carnivore's impressive selection of wines and spirits. The variety on offer ensures that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. To top off the meal, I had an affogato, which might have been the best one I’ve ever had. It was served with Frangelico liqueur, which added a delightful nutty sweetness that perfectly complemented the rich espresso and creamy ice cream. This combination provided a flawless finish to an already outstanding meal. The atmosphere at Carnivore Henley Beach is warm and inviting, with a modern yet comfortable vibe that makes it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The attentive and knowledgeable staff, combined with the quality of the food, made for an exceptional dining experience. If you’re in the area and looking for a place that delivers on its promise of top-quality meat, Carnivore Henley Beach is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend the rib eye if you're after a satisfying and flavourful meal, and don’t miss the chance to try the lobster topper—it’s a game-changer! And if you have room for dessert, the affogato with Frangelico is a must-try.

Hokimate Komene: We felt very welcomed upon arrival, my name is not easy to pronounce, the staff pronounced it beautifully. Great service, food was delicious, beautifully presented, great experience by us all. Owner spent time with us, he was very kind and gifted my husband with a great kitchen utensil. Highly recommended Carnivore and there delicious food. Thor Hammer was very impressive and tasty.

Sathis kumar: The comprehensive tour and guide provided excellent value for the investment. I had the privilege of gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of cricket and footy during the time spent.

Corey Smith: Certainly a privilege to attend Adelaide Oval to experience the atmosphere and respect paid to such a beautiful and historically nostalgic venue.I have had the absolute privilege of attending this beautiful venue over the years and also appreciate the respectful improvements over the years. From attending my first ever SANFL Game in the mid 70's where Westies struggled to get over South Adelaide, then to see the Great West Indies Cricket Team's of the 80's, the Televised Sheffield Shield Games where the TV Camera was at one end.Looking and sitting under the Moreton Bay Figs, sitting on the southern hill where Cornsey used that tree with the kids in it to kick that the goal against North.Watching Malcolm Marshall bowl at full steam as well as him dancing reggae style on the boundary at third man to the entertainment of our Year 10 P.E. class.Watching that infamous David Hooked Innings against Victoria and enjoying those Hotdogs from the old Caravans to the left of the Victor Richardson Gates.Seeing West Adelaide take home the Premiership Cup in 2015 after 32years.And actually experience the amazing "Never tear us apart " at the Port home game Showdown 😎Thankyou for the memories and the experience.

Kelly Holloman: A lovely destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features diverse wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, which are a highlight. The walking trails are pleasant, though some could benefit from better signage. The views from certain points are quite nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are adequate, with clean restrooms and picnic areas. It’s a great place for a relaxed day trip, but if you’re looking for more challenging hikes, you might find the trails here a bit easy. Overall, it's a solid choice for a nature getaway.

Brian LeBlanc: Cleland National Park is a good spot for nature lovers. The trails are straightforward and offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. Seeing native wildlife is a nice touch, though it can get a bit crowded during peak times. Facilities are basic but sufficient for a day trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for a local nature experience, but don’t expect solitude during busy periods.

Marian Kelly: Amazing place, loved getting up close to the animals.

Krystina Ebsary: I took my children here for a family day out. They all had an amazing time and loved the snake holding experience. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Liisa Grace Baun: Excellent hiking trail with stunning scenic views. There are plenty of rest stops along the way from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. While some parts are steep, they don't last long.

Lillian Pais: Nature at its best

Long Vu: Fresh air, very nice park with Kangaroo, Koala and other Aussie animals, nice experience for family with kids. Recommend to spend about 90mins here on the trip to Hahndorf

Courtney Pleass: Nice views, although the bushland is a bit more sparse and dryer than around Mt. Osmond and Belair/Crafers. It is a a tough hill to climb on bike but the satisfaction you get from having reached the summit is totally worth it. You can drive, ride or hike to the lookout. Road is a bit narrow and the traffic can get in the way at times whilst on a bicycle, which can make it a bit dangerous. Makes for a good challenge and workout.

Hannah: Nice short walk from the bus stop which makes it accessible for non-drivers. I think it's hilarious that some reviews are complaining about the trees being in the way! If you don't like trees, there are plenty of places to stop and watch the sunset on the way up the hill, or you can walk a couple of minutes into the field above the carpark to see the view from above the trees.

Craig Jeffery: 2KW provide an exceptional dining experience. We enjoyed a long lunch, selecting the ‘feed me’ menu, which allowed us to sample several shared dishes, which we complemented with brilliantly recommended wines and rounded off with divinely crafted cocktails. 2KW excelled in every aspect of the culinary journey, however the absolute standout was the customer service provided by the front of house team, in particular Lisa, who delivered outstanding attention to detail, expertly balanced with knowledge, warmth and professionalism. It is evident that the team at 2KW take great pride in their work, and this translates to a superior dining experience in every aspect. 👏👏

Ella Irlam: 마샤는 최고의 바텐더입니다. 그녀는 매우 도움이 되고 아름답습니다. 나는 그녀의 서비스로 즐거운 밤을 보냈습니다

Karen Ross: Absolutely Stunning! Classy boho vibes and setting over looking city grounds! Service excellent, stand out was Connor! Professional and friendly, helpful advice on a large range of wines and cocktails. Really appreciated his patience and guidance to find the right red wine 🍷or Shiraz in the end that suited me to a tea! Definitely recommend checking this rooftop getaway bar! 2KW was a stand out for me, for the 2 nights spent in the city checking out a few different venues. Most memorable experience was 2KW!! Highly recommend the Triple cooked salt and vinegar potatoes, they were devine! Will be back!!!!

Elizabeth Carter: and the wine was waaay too drinkable. The team of people who tended to our table were exceptional. Especially Aaron, he is gold. Thank you all for making a customer dinner a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We will be back.

Jennifer Marshall: Sad history for this Zoo, especially for George the Orangatan and various incidents that occurred from its inception. There was a wide and varied display of animals in clean enclosures. Enclosures could be much larger but I understand it's hard when there's only a limited amount of Zoo property. Overall, the amenities were great, the staff were informative and polite and the entrance fees were reasonable.

Jonathan Hu: Happy birthday Wangwang and Funi! Proudly as a lifetime member of Adelaide Zoo, I booked a flight all the way from Sydney to Adelaide in the last week of August 2024 to celebrate their birthday before they go back to China. And the giant pandas definitely make Adelaide Zoo the best zoo in Australia! They are so cute and adorable! I’m even thinking about moving to Adelaide so that I can go here every one or two days. The other animals such as little blue penguins are lovely as well.

Yanyan Butuhan: It was a really great experience. Carrick Hill is a true gem, offering a delightful blend of history, art, and natural beauty. The estate, with its beautifully preserved house and extensive gardens, provides a captivating glimpse into the past. The house itself is filled with an impressive collection of art and antiques, offering visitors a chance to step back in time and experience the elegance of a bygone era. However, what truly sets Carrick Hill apart is its stunning gardens. I believe it is better to visit during the spring season because the flowers are in full bloom, creating a vibrant and colorful display that is simply breathtaking. The scent of fresh blossoms fills the air, and the garden paths are lined with a kaleidoscope of colors that enhance the overall experience. The combination of the historic setting and the natural beauty makes Carrick Hill a perfect destination for a springtime visit.Whether you’re interested in history, art, or simply enjoying a peaceful stroll through beautiful gardens, Carrick Hill offers something for everyone. Set in the Roaring 1920s, the play cleverly critiqued the corruption & moral ambiguity of the era, with stories that are still relevant today. The performances from the cast captured the dark humor & sharp wit of the original. The show highlighted themes of false reputation, false justice, and the pursuit of desire at all costs.

St Mark's College, Adelaide: what do users think?

Bianca Feher: coming to st mark's is one of the best decisions i have ever made. it's become my home, and my fellow collegians have become my family. the opportunities and experiences at college are extremely valuable and i would honestly be kicking myself if i did not come to college. as for the critical media coverage of the past few years- come and talk to the staff and students who live here, we'd be happy to talk about our own experiences here, and you'll find that they're all super positive because mark's is an amazing place to live.

Mrs. A-L: I wrote this back in 2020 and then edited it at the end, which refreshed it as new.So disappointing that people who have never seen or been to the college felt the need to write negative reviews, which shows how small-minded some people are and how they happy to be spoon-fed their information. We decided to ignore the hyped media and knee-jerk reviews from "outraged viewers" basing their opinions on TV and visit multiple colleges in Adelaide and do the work ourselves. After a long process of looking at boarding schools, we chose St. Marks. Having our firstborn head off to boarding school was a big deal, but we are so happy with the decision we made. St. Marks has been nothing but a supportive, nurturing environment. The support from staff, older students, and the leadership team has been outstanding. We would highly recommend this boarding college and suggest you ignore the reviews written by armchair warriors and go look for yourself. Highly recommended - very happy with our decision.Edit: Our child ended up staying for four years at St. Marks. I can’t recommend this place enough and be forever thankful to the mentoring and leadership teams.

Quinn M: Highly recommend student accommodation.

Leela lee (LeilaLee): Absolutely no regrets sending our son to St.Marks. It has been nothing but a nurturing, safe environment for him to move into. As a quiet lad moving from the country to the city, St Marks offered a supportive safe place for him to grow. Lifelong friends made. We are so happy with our decision.

Ellen Cheng: Meal is the best in Adelaide from what I heard. Vey safe area and nice campus.

Malcolm Hicks: Fantastic opportunity for students to get a great start in life

M Raza: Nice location

Michael Dissel: Adelaide's best university residential accommodation

olivia white: The most welcoming, supportive and inclusive community you could come across. Beyond thankful I chose to call St Mark's my home.
