4worldlovers: Our multi-award winning studios are located less than five minutes from Adelaide’s CBD. Wundenberg’s Recording Studios provides the very best in sound quality, whilst implementing efficient and flexible workflows to deliver your next project on time & within budget.

Our studios offer a homely atmosphere with well maintained equipment, skilled engineers, and flexible work hours.

Wundenberg’s Recording Studios is an award winning (2019 , 2021 and 2022 SA Music Award for ‘Studio Of The Year’) two-studio recording complex located in Adelaide, South Australia.

Our recording studios are hidden away in the heritage listed Thebarton Incinerator.

This distinctive building was designed by American architect Walter Burley Griffin in the 1930s and has been repurposed to function as a recording facility. Burley Griffin is famous for planning and designing the city of Canberra.

The building’s thick brick walls and high internal ceilings have created ideal recording conditions.

Whilst predominately being a recording facility, we also have 6 rehearsal rooms available.

Wundenberg’s is also conveniently located within a short walk of various bakeries, cafes, pubs, bars and supermarkets.

Over 120 artists use our recording services every year. With an expansive range of high end recording equipment, skilled engineers and a large collection of instruments, it’s easy to find a flavour that suits your sound.

Hundreds of songs are mixed in our studios every year. We mix using a combination of analogue outboard equipment and an extensive plug-in list. Our accurate monitoring and room treatment, helps produce exciting and creative mixes that translate well. Dolby Atmos mixing is also available.

We also provide audio services for film, tv, radio, video, audiobooks, remote recordings, podcasts, messages on hold and recorded voice announcements for businesses. Previous clients: Netflix, The BBC, UBER, Penfolds, Bolinda Publishing, Seeley International, Andrew McMeel Universal, Hodder and Stoughton, The Australian Space Agency, Mazda Australia, Foxtel and many others.

Wundenberg’s is predominately a recording and mixing facility, but we also have 6 rehearsal rooms available for hire. Our rehearsal rooms provide clean and accesible practice spaces. Our large car park, vending machines and drum kits make Wundenberg’s one of Adelaide’s top rehearsal spaces.

Our smallest and more affordable studio, Studio 2 is ideal for preproduction, song writing sessions, voice overs, overdubs, podcasts, radio/ tv commercials, audiobooks, ADR, remote sessions, re-amping and anything else that requires high-quality professional audio.

Studio 2 contains a sound proof booth which was professionally designed and constructed at channel 9 for Wombat Studios. This booth was moved and installed at Wundenberg’s in 2019 and has been a popular addition since.

Sunset is a rehearsal space run by musicians, for musicians. Our past experiences with rehearsal spaces drives our continual improvement.


We’ve recently upgraded the PA tweeters, replaced a few of the rooms mixers, and added new mic cables and mic stands into some of the rooms. Enjoy and please keep us updated if anything isn’t functioning properly.


After taking over Sunset as the new owners in early 2013, and being passionate musicians ourselves, our focus is on making a place where musicians can connect, be inspired and create amazing music.

The Dream Theater is so close to all Adelaide's live music venues such as The Entertainment Centre, Thebarton Theater, Festival Theatre, HQ, The Gov and Fowlers Live, any bands in need of a jam session can travel 5 mins from any venue to jam. Steely Dan did exactly that while touring Australia as did 5 Seconds Of Summer before commencing their Australian tour


Every room has that live on stage sound and does not interfere with any other band using The Dream Theater at the same time, so there could be 4 bands rehearsing and you would hear your band only.

All rooms are Air conditioned, clean and secure being fully automated, you have no need to worry about outsiders disturbing you.
