Carmel Slice: If you find yourself in Adelaide and seeking the quintessential wing experience, look no further than this establishment. The wing night here is unparalleled, though I must advise you to place your order in advance to avoid disappointment. As for the other culinary offerings on different evenings, one might say they vary in quality, but the wings—ah, you simply cannot go wrong with wings night. It's a culinary certainty. The pub itself exudes a charming local ambiance, complete with a fine selection of Australian beers. During the winter months, when the fire crackles warmly, it becomes a haven for convivial gatherings and heartfelt conversations.

J. Hirst: Best pub I’ve found in Australia. Beautiful looking building serving great some great Aussie classics. Parmey was cooked to perfection — a good choice of refreshing tap beers. Went early doors and the staff where friendly. Will be definitely back sometime in the future!Vegetarian options: Lasagne

Kane Mareolas: I had my 21st upstairs in the function room. Throughout the planning, Johnno and his team were excellent at helping me decide what food and drinks package we wanted. Johnno in particular was awesome at making things work for me to make it special for me. On the night, Sam was the manager, and he was fantastic and very accommodating. Jess and Monique worked the room, with both being absolutely amazing. Jess in particular did a great job making me feel special and communicating with me. The room was perfect for the 80 odd guests we had. It could fit in a DJ as well as the 6-7 high tables. The balcony was nice too, as it gave people the opportunity to get a breath of fresh air or to smoke if they were smokers. Overall, I'd highly recommend this venue for functions as the room is really good and the staff are amazing. Cheers, Kane

Carmel Slice: Ah, the culinary experience at the Cumberland Arms Hotel was simply delightful! The schnitzel, a testament to tender perfection, arrived promptly, piping hot, as if the chef had summoned it with a touch of culinary magic. My esteemed companions reveled in the falafel salad, a symphony of flavors, and the salt and pepper squid, a tantalizing treat from the deep.Seated al fresco amidst congenial company, the ambiance was nothing short of idyllic—a tableau painted with laughter and shared moments. The staff, effervescent and warm, orchestrated the evening with a grace that immediately put me at ease, as if I were amidst cherished friends. Truly, a soirée to remember!

Nicole: Great steak night.. but really wish they had options other than chips... not everyone likes chips. PLEASE offer veggies, even at a cost 👍 Staff are fantastic, beer garden is awesome, 😎👍Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free street parking, Paid street parking …

jonathan kendall: - this is a perfectly created dining experience understated elegance and the highest quality - chapeau to the team - will be back as often as I can afford it !

Mitch Renshaw: Stayed in the Heritage Room for one Saturday night and had dinner in the restaurant. The room was cozy and very comfortable. Heritage room had access to the balcony. The balcony is shared between three rooms with dividers between each. You could walk around the dividers though if a friend is in the balcony room next door. Heritage room is in the centre and Mt Lofty and Tiers rooms are on the sides I believe. If you’re worried about noise staying above the restaurant it was very little issue. Not loud at all and completely quiet after 10 when they close. The noise can come from the fireplace. I think it must be an electronic exhaust or something but it got to be quite loud sometimes. The ducted air conditioning in the room made it so we didn’t need the fireplace on all night anyway so it was fine.It was certainly warm enough on a very cold night. Having the minibar stocked with various drinks and snacks be included at no extra cost was amazing! This goes for the breakfast in the shared nook too. The croissants were hot and fresh at 7.15am along with various cereals, coffee, juice, fruit, and yogurt. Newspaper was even dropped at our door for free in the morning! The restaurant was nice. No problems, the food was good but nothing outstanding…at least from what we had. I was told the menu changes frequently so perhaps another visit is needed. The highlight in the restaurant was the warm cocktail they made off the August monthly specials list. The staff were all incredible too. Friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to questions about the menu.I could see myself returning for another stay here, perhaps in the summer. Thanks Crafers Hotel.

Kirsty: It's always a fantastic stay. Can't recommend it enough.Rooms are beautiful, food is excellent, service is fantastic.Rooms: Very clean, comfortable, stylish.Food & drinks: Delicious meals, great wine list. A couple vegan options.

Iain McGregor: Great pub!Popped in before seeing a movie with the kids.Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We were served quickly, but it got quite busy before we left.Staff excellent, friendly and understanding towards three kids waiting for lunch.

julie sandford: A great hidden gem in Adelaide! We have dined here multiple times, great value for money and excellent service.I would highly recommend this for a cheeky catch up with friends or a meal with family .Added bonus is Kilkenny on tap!

alec tibbitts: The crumbed fish was huge and luckily, I had ordered one piece not two. The other meals people at the table had were the Thai red curry from the specials, the crispy chicken burger and the crumbed prawns. All of the meals were good. There is a wide selection of beers on taps, as there was before the renovation. I’m sure there are plenty of other drinks available too - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.As for the atmosphere, since the renovation, pretty much all surfaces are hard and although it wasn’t that busy, the noise was overwhelming. The music was quite load and patrons were having to shout to be heard. It was the one part of the night which really spoiled the experience.

Lisa Asil: Gave it a 5 star as I needed the loo badly.Thankyou!!!

Tan Me Baby: and they were the best I’ve had. The chips were perfect and salad dressing tasty. My partner had the burger with potato bun and loved it.Corn ribs were also great. Will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free meals were delicious.

Wendy Radloff: Fantastic new menu which has basically 98% of it as a gluten free option. I had the chicken schnitzel which was delicious and came with chips and salad. Too much to eat, but so tasty! Friends had the gf fish and chips which was 2 large pieces of fish, chips and salad, also gluten free as was the chicken parmigiana. Kitchen apparently has a dedicated gf space according to our waitress.

Nikkie Antonello: The food was absolutely amazing! We came here knowing they are coeliac safe for our daughter. The cauliflower bites, Brussels and chipotle chicken on the starters menu were yum!!! And the brisket is a must have. Definitely our new go to. 🤤Dietary restrictions: Safe for coeliacsKid-friendliness: Welcomed our young children and had delicious options for a young coeliac

Carmel Slice: My visits to The Archer have been a series of delightful discoveries! The cuisine, a culinary symphony that never fails to impress, leaves one's palate in raptures. And the gin selection—oh, a veritable labyrinth of juniper delights, each sip a journey through botanical wonderlands! The staff, with their warmth and attentiveness, have made each visit a joyous affair, accommodating our every whim with grace and charm. And let us not forget the pièce de résistance—the library upstairs, a sanctuary of elegance and tranquility, where one can lose oneself in a literary reverie amidst such gorgeous surroundings.I wholeheartedly recommend The Archer, whether for a spirited function or a casual evening of revelry. It is, without a doubt, a gem worthy of one's patronage. Cheers to many more memorable visits!

Imagine, tenderly cooked to golden-brown perfection, accompanied by a symphony of crisp chips and fresh, vibrant salad. And let's not forget the pièce de résistance: that luscious mushroom sauce, a savory delight that elevates each bite to new heights of culinary bliss!Of course, such culinary excellence is complemented by impeccable service, where each interaction is imbued with warmth and efficiency. David Paul: Sound system was not the best yet I've seen Beats on Parade play at other gigs without sound issues. Maybe replace the cables as whenever the DJ spoke it was this inaudible high pitched shrill. Once the DJ stopped speaking it wasn't too bad despite the system cutting out on one speaker. Once it was stable, it was fine. Don't use an MC if the mics aren't working - trust me, I'm a sound engineer.

Scott Hawken: One of the nicest hotels in Adelaide with a great restaurant and bistro with excellent food and friendly staff.

Hannah Alison: Gabby was immediately welcoming, so polite and friendly to all of us, good humour too. She is good at what she does!Food was delicious and presented really nicely.Tables were set up nicely, and was comfortably warm even though it’s freezing outside. My daughter had had her first taste of chocolate and approved.. Vegetarian options: I had 2 vegetarian appetisers and both were delicious and decent portions. I noticed a few v/gf options on the menuKid-friendliness: I thank Gabby again for how nice she was to my daughter, immediately getting her a high chair and offering plastic cups without me even asking. Always saying hello when she came to the table. She is a sweetheart and made our experience more than beautiful.Sorry about the mess on the table! 😝

Mark Mywords: and had a distinctive smell that I could smell before it came to my table. The taste was initially fishy and over seasoned, and I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision. However, it was delicious and filling. I feel I must describe the smell and taste, and it was basically the smell of an Asian grocer, that odd fermented, spicy, musty, 'museum-ey' smell. It wasn't unpleasant, just different, and I enjoyed it.Staff are friendly and attentive, with full table service a refreshing surprise. Chilled table water was promptly served, but I followed it up with a Margarita

Pratik Christian: Boasting sophisticated black and white styling with raw timber cladding and a white marble bar, the Queen Street Ballroom provides a chic backdrop for any style of event.Complementary in-house facilities: Exclusive bar, screen, projector with HDMI connectivity, cordless microphone and audio with smart device connectivity.Food is really good. I would highly recommend to try here if you are a true foodie. However, in terms of prices it's expensive. Overall I had a good experience.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian available

Kylie McLeod: This was a fantastic place for my daughter's 30th birthday. It's a gorgeous place, with a nice vibe and the Queen Street Ballroom came up beautifully with cosmic themed decorations.Their food was delicious, not the average finger food selection but still some good options for those with sensitive or less adventurous food needs. The staff were awesome, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Would definitely use this venue again.

Tan Me Baby: I’ve eat here and enjoyed takeaway a few times and figure it’s time for a review. The food each and every time has been delicious. I’ve enjoyed the Green Veggie Laksa many times, the Malaysian Chicken Curry and on my last visit the Sambal Char Kueh Tiaw and the Slow-cooked Lamb Shank and they are now the clear front runners. It was very quiet in the dining room as it was a mid week evening but perhaps some louder background music is a good idea as the two other groups inside were very loud and it took over the whole venue. The team are friendly and have always shown us a lovely time.On the downside, more attention on the cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be prioritised. It wasn’t a great experience.I do also like that their menu items offer a wine pairing suggestion and there are a good range of GF options.

Claire Page: Lovely historic hotel. It has been decorated very nicely inside. We had the whole place to ourselves when we went for lunch on a Sunday around 1.30pm. The service was very good and attentive. We had steaks which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Parking is free in the street right out the front. You have to go down some steps to get to the main bar so it is not fully accessible but they have attempted to at least make the dining area and entrance wheelchair accessible.

Bel Harper: We had pre dinner drinks b4 ONG on Rundle. The wine n beer went down well. The attitude of Sophie to bar tender put a stop to that, shouting across the bar, twice. Small??? Then proceeded to literally throw the atm machine at me...this was after I interrupted her chatting with a colleague, a fill line of customers at the bar, my partner bought a beer..paid..then was told 'your welcome ' even before he had nano second to say thanks, with the implication that thanks was not in his dialogue. The staff were polite, had the meals orders well organised and no one had to put their hand up when a meal came out. I had a baked barramundi salad - it was good, and I'd recommend my wife have it if we go back there. The shnitzels were normal size, which some of the guys were disappointed about, but maybe all these super-size schnitzel challenges have raised the bar on the minimum standard

Winston Spitzer: The best music hall in the world to me. Small. Very small. The first time I went there I thought that I was in the wrong place. Not a concert venue, but just a bar. Nice though. But definitely no concert venue. Or so I thought. But I had come there so I decided to stay and drink a beer. It was still early in the night. When I went to the toilet after 3 beers I noticed a small stage in the back.Weird. The place in the back could be best described as very small. In my mind I could devise it into 3 pieces of equal area. The first place the stage, the second place the place for the audience. And as a third place to indicate the size of the first 2 parts. The place behind where a snooker table stood.

Carolyn B: The staff are always lovely, and our local bands are amazing and deserving of big, enthusiastic crowds.
