It's a gorgeous place, with a nice vibe and the Queen Street Ballroom came up beautifully with cosmic themed decorations.Their food was delicious, not the average finger food selection but still some good options for those with sensitive or less adventurous food needs.The staff were awesome, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Would definitely use this venue again.
Tan Me Baby: Iâve eat here and enjoyed takeaway a few times and figure itâs time for a review.The food each and every time has been delicious. Iâve enjoyed the Green Veggie Laksa many times, the Malaysian Chicken Curry and on my last visit the Sambal Char Kueh Tiaw and the Slow-cooked Lamb Shank and they are now the clear front runners.It was very quiet in the dining room as it was a mid week evening but perhaps some louder background music is a good idea as the two other groups inside were very loud and it took over the whole venue.The team are friendly and have always shown us a lovely time.On the downside, more attention on the cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be prioritised. It wasnât a great experience.I do also like that their menu items offer a wine pairing suggestion and there are a good range of GF options.
Claire Page: Lovely historic hotel. It has been decorated very nicely inside. We had the whole place to ourselves when we went for lunch on a Sunday around 1.30pm. The service was very good and attentive. We had steaks which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Parking is free in the street right out the front. You have to go down some steps to get to the main bar so it is not fully accessible but they have attempted to at least make the dining area and entrance wheelchair accessible.

The staff was lovely, friendly and bent over backwards to make sure we had an exceptional experience.The food was good, the menu varied, the prices reasonable, and the serving sizes were huge!Unfortunately we were sat next to a family who had an elderly member who was hard of hearing, and they spoke really loudly when talking to her, which was like something from Fawlty towers.But that wasn't the fault of the restaurant. I wish they had requested a table away from other diners though.We were were placed in front of a huge window with lots of light, and our lunch was otherwise great.I've added a picture of my entree sized fish and chips, which was enough for a main even after I had eaten some of it. The children's menu portions are a similar size.Kid-friendliness: This place is fantastic for kids - the menu is great and the staff is accommodating.

Jav EBRAHIMPOUR: Love the ambience and service, another nice place to go after work, the range of drinks and foods is great and you will enjoy the time here. Options to sit inside or outside, and more fun on the weekends of course. The location is great if tou want to continue your Baraton movement, you will find several good spots nearby. Walked into a huge front bar area, then proceeded through to the bistro. Helpful lady took our details for booking and directed us to our booth. Large bistro area with a many tables and chairs along with about 5 booths. Booth was spacious and a view over the dining room. Orders a bottle of Wolf Blass Red label Chardonnay and we both couldnât decide what to eat from the extensive menu. We opted for the Tikka Kebabs skewered with onion and capsicum and chargrilled. The 3 generous skewers came drizzled with Tikka sauce, rice, grilled flat bread, small bowl of extra Tikka sauce and a refreshing mint yoghurt dip. Wow we were impressed with this scrumptious meal. We both struggled to eat it all as was quite deliciously filling. Highly recommend and we will be back to try another dish from the menu. My husband had beef snitzel and gravy and the snitzel hung over his plate and was melt in the mouth delicious and I had pumpkin salad which consisted of hours, roast pumpkin, cauliflower and brussel sprouts with baby spinach leaves, olives, toasted almonds and feta cheese with a mustard vinaigrette and 2 triangles of toasted pita and I added the chicken to it which was char grilled and juicy.... Mitch Renshaw: Stayed in the Heritage Room for one Saturday night and had dinner in the restaurant.The room was cozy and very comfortable. Heritage room had access to the balcony. The balcony is shared between three rooms with dividers between each. You could walk around the dividers though if a friend is in the balcony room next door. Heritage room is in the centre and Mt Lofty and Tiers rooms are on the sides I believe.If youâre worried about noise staying above the restaurant it was very little issue. Not loud at all and completely quiet after 10 when they close. The noise can come from the fireplace. I think it must be an electronic exhaust or something but it got to be quite loud sometimes. The ducted air conditioning in the room made it so we didnât need the fireplace on all night anyway so it was fine.It was certainly warm enough on a very cold night. Having the minibar stocked with various drinks and snacks be included at no extra cost was amazing! This goes for the breakfast in the shared nook too. The croissants were hot and fresh at 7.15am along with various cereals, coffee, juice, fruit, and yogurt. Newspaper was even dropped at our door for free in the morning!The restaurant was nice. No problems, the food was good but nothing outstandingâŠat least from what we had. I was told the menu changes frequently so perhaps another visit is needed. The highlight in the restaurant was the warm cocktail they made off the August monthly specials list. The staff were all incredible too. Friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to questions about the menu.I could see myself returning for another stay here, perhaps in the summer. Thanks Crafers Hotel.
