Kristen S: The setting of this restaurant is fantastic and the service we received from both the waiter and teppanyaki chef were great. Food was good, but not worth the price point in my opinion. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly Recommended 👏👍😊

We had the vegetables tempura to share. Absolutely delicious. I had the teriyaki chicken and my husband had the Bento box. All beautiful. We will definitely be back.

We always get their Nagomi Bento Box, the unagi Don, and we have even tried their cold noodles and their chawamushi. The quality of the seafood was average, rather soft...It's a casual restaurant, and the server was chatting and laughing loudly with her friends which was a bit wierd. The taste was not too bad overall.

Despite the all-you-can-eat format, the quality of the food was outstanding. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail and presented beautifully. From the fresh sashimi and sushi to the deliciously tender grilled meats, every bite was a delight.The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our plates promptly cleared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Peter Tregenza: Parking: You can usually find parking somewhere in the streets nearby. You might have to walk a few hundred metres. Otherwise, there is paid parking close by off Gouger Street above the Central Market.
Miss J: Came back after the reno, a whole lot smaller space. Sushi boat was still great. The duck meat soba was flavoursm and delicious too. Tories chicken was creamy. But looks very small. Unagi was tender and yummy. Agedashi tofu was crispy and sauce was mild yet delicious. Karaage chicken was not good at all, soggy. Sashimi don is not bad, sushi rice was flavoursm. Wagyu sukiyaki was very delicious and heart warming, it comes with noodles as well. But the soup will go very well with rice too. Friendly service.

The tempura prawn came with tempura sweet potato, mushroom, fish cake and greens. The sauce went great with the battered foods. Spider roll and spicy salmon sushi roll were very nice but the aburi salmon roll was the best with its torched flavour and had the perfect amount of sauce! Sukiyaki was warm and comforting with lots of beef and cabbage. The chef special grilled sea perch also stood out and we’re so glad we ordered it! Get it if you still can, the fish was grilled so well and the flesh was sweet and firm. Overall fantastic experience, and would love to go again!

Nal Nal: The interior makes you feel like you're visiting Japan. I had a $32 sashimi + tempura bento and the unagi seemed delicious. I liked it because it had a bit of an authentic Japanese bento feel, but it was disappointing that there was no tap beer. The Korean man serving the hall was friendly, and the bathroom interior was very unique, so be sure to visit the bathroom. It's a bit pricey, but the sashimi quality was good and it's worth coming for the bento.

Dan Duncan: Absolutely 5 stars for this restaurant.It was not only a beautiful and delicious meal, it was an experience.The restaurant has been recreated within the walls of an old bank and it is majestic within.Several Teppinyaki plates surround the inner space of the restaurant and we were lead to our space which we were greeted by a talented chef that was beyond amazing with his craft of Teppinyaki. He was amazing to watch and the food was sensational.It is a little expensive, however you get what you pay for. Definitely worth the money.If you are in Adelaide, give this a visit

The quality of food, drinks and taste was excellent.There is something really relaxing about watching a professional chef prepare and cook amazing dishes and while less showy then the few other Teppanyaki places I've been to, the food was definitely the best.

Meaalofa Tolovae: I wanted to write a review on our experience last night, we went here for our first time to celebrate my best friends birthday - I was initially attracted to the area and menu but had no idea what was to come. Expect a very exclusive experience! From the moment we were greeted at the door, to the knowledgeable introduction to Wagu beef and some history and facts that we had no idea about, to then a 5 star dining experience with the most lovely chef, waitresses who were attentive, respectful, friendly and professional. Then of course, the food! The food was Devine, everything melted in the mouth! I honestly cannot fault the experience and we all left feeling like we’d been treated like queens. I was able to pre arrange some flowers and champagne on arrival through the website, which I thought was already such a beautiful touch but they went above and beyond with their birthday song and special dessert! Me and my friends often dine in fine restaurants and this certainly made our top recommendations - Thankyou so much for a wonderful night! I cannot wait to come back again & to everyone else - it is worth the price for the experience don’t delay your booking! 💐Dietary restrictions: Was able to accomodate my allergyKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and staff catered to children well!
Jiji Regudo: Food was divine. From appetisers to the abalone to the backstrap to the melt in your mouth chocolate wagyu to the dessert. In between salad and miso soup were good palate cleansers. Fried rice with the chili wagyu best I've ever had. All the staff and Chef Riyo were amazing! So thoughtful too had a surprise song, dessert and gift 😍 much appreciated

Kit H: This was my first visit to Samurai Teppanyaki and it surpassed all expectations; delivering a memorable dining experience characterised by exceptional food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It was my birthday dinner and at the end of our 8 courses staff surprised me by singing Happy Birthday to me and held a Happy Birthday sign. And to top it off, I won a bottle of wine! You really can't beat that. So whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Japanese cuisine prepared with flair, Samurai Teppanyaki is a must-visit destination. I look forward to returning to indulge in their culinary delights once again very soon. Also shout out to William who was our chef. He did an amazing job!

The food was WOW incredible, the service and friendless from every staff member we encountered from the moment we arrived was 5star. Kieran Bedford: My first time trying Tappanyaki and all I can say it is an absolutely unreal place to eat. Both chefs mastered every dish. The Vegetarian option was delicious. It’s worth every cent. The Chefs know a lot of information about every dish and tell you exactly what’s in it. Thanks for a fantastic experience!Vegetarian options: They have a full set menu with everything on.

Nia Mh: !Sushi Burri made it traditionally with the matcha whisk and high grade matcha which was creamy and non powdery. Not sweet which I love, strawberry added perfect amount of sweetness. Would get + honey if it was just a matcha on its own.They make their own strawberry puree which is unsusal, this tasted fantastic!In my experience matcha at non-speciality cafes are terrible! They usually use premix with loads of sugar in it. The staff were lovely and explained how they made their matcha.Price: $7.50 for the latte + oat milkWill be coming back to try the other drinks on the menu and even the sushi burritos 🏼Dietary restrictions: Milk Lab alternative milks

Alyssa: Had the sushi burrito, was essentially a gigantic sushi roll. Best part was the additional fillings that you don’t get in normal sized sushi. It was tasty and fast to get, I enjoyed the burrito but it’s not something I’d get super regularly.
