Scoffed Cooking School: what do users think?

Natasha Nel: We had our daughter’s 9th birthday party at Scoffed and everyone loved it! It is so well organised and we didn’t have to do a thing. The chef was great too and really good with the children. Will definitely be back!

Emma Rieger: We had our daughter’s 7th birthday party at scoffed and it was brilliant. The staff were lovely and the kids had a fabulous time cooking! Highly recommend.

Briony Leembruggen: Loved the "pace" of the night, allowing us to still socialise and eat our meal together. Q&A was great too!A great team experience!

Slav K: .

Matt Cook: A great experience to learn the tips and tricks to cook all the BBQ favourites. Very well run by people who know food!

Alex Corones: Attended the American Low 'n' Slow BBQ cooking class. Informative and enjoyable. I've been doing L&S for a while, but picked up some new skills, techniques and recipes. Would recommend.

Paula B: Kids cooking classes during the school holidays - great friendly staff and kids loved it. Learnt the basics of the kitchen including hygiene. Will be back.

Anna: It was good, however the recipe could be improved. I made the Christmas eclairs. we used white chocolate on top which is just too sweet for some people so I think having the option to choose between the type of chocolate you put on top would be a good idea. Another way to improve it would be by making the instructions for the custard more clear to avoid over cooking it and making a chunky custard. It was hard to tell if the heat was correct and I think that the custard was a section where everyone required a bit more guidance. Overall, the course was fun and I learnt some tips to improve my cooking.

Jahcinta Clark: This was so much fun!! We went for our work Christmas party and everyone loved it! Chef Tony was so helpful and made the process so easy. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

Deborah Lindsay: I attended the Thai Banquet class. The food was yummy and our chef was very talented and informative. It is so nice to feel like you can recreate what you make at home.

Marianne Richa Zouein: My daughter enjoyed the class and is looking forward to going again. Thank you for the exquisite experience!

Denise Spares: , and goodness knows the focus levels of the kids varied as well. The kids learned kitchen safety with how to hold knives, move around the kitchen walking with the knife

Fraser Thomson: Was given the '4th of July' class as a birthday present, and couldn't have been happier. Tim and Alon were both very insightful, helpful and very entertaining. The entire experience was incredible for start to finish and to top it off the food was absolutely incredible and left completely satisfied, highly reccomend as a gift to give someone or just an experience worth trying.

Fouché Erasmus: Great place with friendly staff who will show you how to have fun while cooking amazing tasting food.

Antonia Moran: I’ve attended a cooking class and MKR event with scoffed and both were brilliant. I couldn’t recommend Scoffed more.

Angela Aschberger: My kids always enjoy classes here, and it's helpful to have the recipe afterwards to be able to recreate the food at home. I love that they get to try new foods and learn kitchen skills like proper knife technique, etc. The ability of the teaching chefs to adapt to the different ages of children in the classes is really great, and means the older kids can be extended while the younger ones still learn the basics.

Khajiho Tokunaga: We did the ginger bread house workshop with about 20 people. It was so much fun! The class was really easy to follow and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Cainara J. B. Burton: Best place for real life skills! Could not recommend it highly enough! If you are in doubt where to take your kids on weekends or holidays… this is one of the best money you can spend

Sticky Rice Cooking School and Villa Accommodation: what do users think?

Diane O'Leary: I attended two cooking classes with Yukiko and Daniel and had a wonderful time at both classes. The recipes were explained in detail and plenty of opportunity to get hands on. My main reason for going to an Asian style cooking school was to learn more about blending the different sauces and what dishes they were best used in and this was covered extremely well. The other people attending the classes were great fun and really good company. I would highly recommend these classes.Nearby activities: Plenty of things to see and do in the Adelaide Hills region even in winter

Sally-Anne McIlwain: . We thoroughly enjoyed our night with the fabulous chef Yuki and host Daniel. A big thank you to Jack for all the washing up.

Heather Wright: Can highly recommend this cooking school, Chef Tania's Vegetarian menu, instructions and participant interaction was nothing short of fantastic. What a treat - you've got to try it 😁

VKNY: Our stay at this luxury accommodation was simply perfect for a weekend getaway. The interior was stunning, and we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touch of a 'welcome hamper' filled with local foods. Every aspect of our stay felt like a dream, and for a moment, we completely forgot we were in Adelaide. Instead, it felt like we had been transported to a cozy cabin in Japan. The overall experience was amazing, and we're already looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Nicholas Mills: Such a wonderfully organised class with exceptional dishes and kind, thoughtful and generous staff. Yukiko was great at giving clear instructions and keeping us engaged throughout the evening, such a lovely person to learn to cook from. Thanks to Daniel for going above and beyond to help us!Service: 5/5 …

Helen Barton: Rooms: ZenHotel highlights Romantic …

Hayden Zammit Meaney: Wonderful experience for our cooking school at Sticky Rice - we joined the Asian Adventure with Yuki and had so much fun. Thank you for a great night out!

Paula B: I did a cooking class with Yuki and was very impressed with the service and teachings. Yuki and staff were professional and attentive and answered all of your questions with ease. The booking process was completely fuss free and followed through to the kitchen. The food was Devine and paired with a suitable wine, made for a great day out.Noteworthy details: Parking was easy. Good sized class. Tips and tricks from a professional chef.

Turn Out: Amazing afternoon.Great opportunity to learn and practise each step of some classic Asian fusion.Fresh ingredients, techniques explained and practised followed by a culinary delight and glass of wine.A must for anyone wanting to explore that art of Asian cooking. Will definitely be returning for one of the other classes and sessions

Raquel Mulholland: The most fantastic, one of a kind experience! Had a wonderful time attending a lunch session at Sticky Rice. Yuki was a wonderful teacher! The food was incredible and overall just a wonderful thing to do with my partner. Would highly recommend!!!

Colin Clarson: I only attended the cooking school, but what a treat it was. It was my first cooking school experience and I was the only solo attendee, but the rest of the group made me very welcome. We cooked 4 courses in groups of 6 or 7 in my case. The Chef Yuki was very lively and entertaining, you top the session of sitting down for your own banquet and if I say so myself it was delicious, would highly recommend this business to anyone .... I will be going back for more classes in the future.

Nick Z: Nice place to get away and relax, the place is well decorated and makes you feel like you are in Bali. If I was to add to $$$ additions it would be a wooden Spa and on the cheaper side….a Nespresso machine.

Keryl French: I surprised my other half for his birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and there was a great mix of people to dine with. He said he would enjoy doing other cookery courses.

Tim Wray: Yukiko is a great chef and teacher. Outstanding quality ingredients and very organised. Did the Japanese class and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Mark Page: RIP. Was a good place to eat.

Peter Mader: Good food, always fresh , attentive service. Everything you want in a sushi train .Unfortunately closing soon

Virginia Ho: This is by far a really good Sushi Train in comparison with the other franchisees around Australia. Rice is at the right moisture and plump. Fish is fresh. High turn over and there were loads of people.

Fero Cerri: Always a delight to dine in. Lot's of variety to try and enjoy. Always fresh.

Jon Hunter: Not a fan of sushi, so luckily they have loads of food that i like: karage chicken, katsu chicken curry, teriaki chicken, spring rolls, gyozas.... all freshly cooked and really cheap too

A Team: Good value for money. Sushi was fresh and tasted great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Philip Harvey: Top Sushi. Staff very nice.

Olivia: Busy on a Friday evening. Very friendly staff, fair pricing, delicious tasting sushi with a reasonable alternative diet menu.

KoKo Black: Staffs are friendly, food are fresh.

ROY HUBBARD: Great food great service, will go back

JJ J: I must say maybe it’s a bad idea for the new owner to use exactly the same name and logo of previous restaurant. Customers come in expecting Genki signature bento and noodle will be disappointed. But all the sushi uses the best quality ingredients.

Shelley Huang: Nice place to go with family or friends.

Ginza Miyako Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Chee T: I recently had an incredible dining experience at Ginza Miyako, a Japanese restaurant that offers an all-you-can-eat menu. Despite the all-you-can-eat format, the quality of the food was outstanding. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail and presented beautifully. From the fresh sashimi and sushi to the deliciously tender grilled meats, every bite was a delight. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our plates promptly cleared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Linda J: Recommend to try the new Japanese buffet😍😍As much as Sashimi and Wagyu beef you can eat, but not only for those. Menu options on menu and no limited but only for $78/pp. Look that big boat🤣 Also they have Wagyu beef hotpot with four soup base you can choose. Food are Fresh and refreshing! Atmosphere is high classic and specially can choose sit at wooden tatami😌

Tamara Wilton: Went to Ginza Miyako for a friend's birthday dinner.Another friend and myself ordered the sushi boat made vegan. It was bought out on two small boats, and everything was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was great as we were able to chat without any loud background noise to compete with.It is more on the expensive side, but definitely worth it if you want a special night out.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options and a small vegan menu.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian options and a small vegan menu. I believe they will do their best to cater to dietary requirementsParking: There are several paid parking lots nearby, no free parking nearby though.

Tom Buck: I went here with my friend earlier today. It was a great experience. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. The waitress was perfect! Everything about this restaurant was so good. I really enjoyed the calm and welcoming atmosphere. The music in the background was very relaxing. Despite being situated on a busy street in Adelaide city, entering this restaurant felt like being transported to a quiet little place in Kyoto. Fantastic experience! Thank you!

sahanmalee peellawattage: The food is excellent for the price, offering a great variety and high quality. The service provided by two Japanese women were amazing—attentive, friendly, and very professional. I will definitely visit again and again. To top it off, they surprised us with a special dessert for my partner's birthday, making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Liisa Grace Baun: We were looking for somewhere to go and eat on our way to a show and came across this lovely Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet, the staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! If we weren't in a hurry we would have also tried a dessert.Next time!

Huu Kim Le: I went with a colleague from the RAH. Pleasantly surprised. Had the lunch special teriyaki beef with extra egg yolk was divine. So filling with seaweed salad side dish and miso complimentary. Owner was delightful. Would come again. Colleague had sushi rolls which were double the size of the ones he normally gets in the hospital food court.

Scott Harvey: and Kingfish Carpaccio are to die for!! A staple for us now. Thank you to Yen for her friendly vibe and also her team for creating fine authentic Japanese food at the right price!Vegetarian options: As an ex Vego, the tofu and vegetable options are just amazingParking: Plenty of parking on and off street

Brad Wombat: The water had a powdery overtone with bitter flavour with a slight sweetness the nostalgia of the drink is scarred by the excessive change in temperature and air accessThe dumpling were good the rough chopping added a stronger flavour and the juices made the bite more smoothThe sushi had a deluxe range of flavourIt was well seasoned and the meat was soft and tender with a nice sticky rice and the bold choice of snow peas which worked pleasantly

Ben R: We recently dined at Sushi Planet. We found the food to be excellent and reasonable value. Service was pretty good, but could be improved. The seats were quite uncomfortable and I was sore the next day from the hard, stiff seating.Parking: Small on site parking and street parking with meters - paid or free depending on time of day.

Marina Papageorgakis: Can't wait to go back and enjoy this place again.Kid-friendliness: Great kids meals with variety of choices

Shiki Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Kristen S: The setting of this restaurant is fantastic and the service we received from both the waiter and teppanyaki chef were great. Food was good, but not worth the price point in my opinion. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

Allan Smith: After going to a game of footy in Adelaide and watching my team win, there’s nothing like celebrating at a nice restaurant like the Shiki, Adelaide's Award Winning Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant located at the InterContinental Adelaide. This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly Recommended 👏👍😊

Ramen & Izakaya Himeji: what do users think?

G P: The ramen broth is tasty and not too salty; however the chashu pork belly could be more tender. Unfortunately it also has a slightly strange aftertaste which isn't that bad but it's still present. They also offer a free ramen on your birthday so be sure to come support the restaurant with your friends!

AP MD: Great tasting ramen restaurant in the heart of Adelaide's business district, probably some of the best I've hadWeather's gotten cold lately and some hearty ramen food was on the cravings. This place absolutely nailed it - absolutely elite level ramen with enough variability to please everyone.Combine this with a cool environment and passion from the cooks and you land yourself a great dining experienceAt times I found the staff a little impersonal, but it didn't detract from the food and quality overallAs the weather gets colder, or when the soup cravings kick in, this is a place that's definitely worth keeping on the radar. Get the large bowel though, you know you'll finish it

Jm Bautista: nigiri are also very delicious. Excellent service and staffs are really nice and friendly. Will always come back to this place for a good bowl of ramen

Yoong Hwee See: belly is very good. All their sushi comes as with a thick cut of fish. Also had the waygu which though nice is not as good as expected. The agedashi tofu is also very good , fried to the right texture and soaked in the broth. The dish would be perfect if the broth is slightly less salty. All in, a very good meal.

Lonny MacLeod: Best ramen in Adelaide - made in house! They’ve got the perfect bite and girthiness to them. The meat slices are also really juicy!Food: 5/5 …

Tam Sibbick-Simpson: We have been looking for a nice Japanese restaurant for ages. Nagomi was recommended to us by our friends and we are so glad we finally went.Service was great. We had the vegetables tempura to share. Absolutely delicious. I had the teriyaki chicken and my husband had the Bento box. All beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Munching Adelaide (Munching.in.adelaide): We have been coming here for years, and they never disappoint. We always get their Nagomi Bento Box, the unagi Don, and we have even tried their cold noodles and their chawamushi. On the nights we can't dine in, we also take out, and they are still so delicious.Kid-friendliness: They even have kids' activities for the little one busy.

Toden: Authentic taste. The best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide. The four of us shared the funamori sushi, tempura, eggplant raku, agedashi tofu, and Japanese-style steak.Everything was delicious.

Lulu-B: The best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide!I highly recommend the sushi and sashimi boat. The tempura and gyoza are delicious.Excellent food, staff and service, it's why we keep going back.

David Huggins: A great antidote to the glut of for-the-gram Japanese-adjacent venues popping up everywhere. We were there on a quiet, wintery night, but the service was warm and friendly. The food was fresh, and authentic.

Wenjie Wang: Visited at around 6:30pm. I was craving ramen but was told it was sold out even though the place had only been open for half an hour…Pork Belly was claimed to be slow-cooked for three days, the seasoning was quite good, but the lean meat was a bit dry.Grilled Mackerel was pretty tender, with juice and fat. Thumbs up!Tempura prawns were just average, with a rather thick batter.Miso Grilled Cod was pretty tender, but the overall saltiness overpowered the natural flavor of the cod. The side dishes were of average quality.Seafood sashimi Rice comes with little bit of various sashimi and some eel. The quality of the seafood was average, rather soft...It's a casual restaurant, and the server was chatting and laughing loudly with her friends which was a bit wierd. The taste was not too bad overall.

Katrina Byleveld: Food was a while to come but not too long, shows that food is cooked as ordered and not all pre cooked. Priscilla was lovely, service was greatFor those who say portions are stingy, you don’t need to eat a stupid amount of food, it’s more important to have good food over an overflowing bowl of chipsHighly recommend if you love GOOD food

Quoc Tran (Johnny): .There's Japanese music pumping and the decor gives a way more authentic Tokyo feel than most places in Adelaide. This will be our new go to for quick and easy sushi. Keep up the good work!

Monike San: Katsumoto Restaurant delivers a delightful dining experience. The katsu, while delicious, had one piece that was slightly over-fried. The ramen, however, was a highlight, boasting a rich and flavorful broth. Service at Katsumoto is exceptional, with staff displaying constant friendliness and efficiency. Though the absence of a water jar on the table is a minor inconvenience, the staff compensates by cheerfully refilling cups at the counter whenever needed. Their unwavering willingness to assist, always with a genuine smile, enhances the overall dining experience. Katsumoto combines great food with outstanding service, making it a place worth visiting.

Chelsea Easton: The food was so filling and delicious! Definitely my favourite place to go for lunch in Rundle. The tempura is so crispy, rice fluffy, Una is soft, and the potato salad is creamy! They’re generous with the servings of everything too!!The vibe is so calming, eating here and chatting with friends is just an amazing experience.

Alysha Rosly: This hidden gem offers an authentic Japanese cuisine that won't break your bankI tried the Una-Don Set which came with miso soup and pickles. I couldn't fault anything. However, my partner's Katsu Curry was a bit small and flat than expected.Overall, this restaurant offers good value for money and is a great spot to satisfy your Japanese cravings in Adelaide CBD..🍛 Una-Don Set ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍚 Katsu Curry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mark Mywords: is a fantastic spot for a quick lunchtime bite, or if you've got time on your hands, a great sit down meal. Dishes come quickly and food is generally good quality. The 'meal sets' are incredible value, which include, miso soup, pickles, potato salad, a bowl of rice and the main meal.Dishes such as Hiyaki Chu-ka - a cold summer noodle dish is something you don't find everywhere and is a favourite, even though the recipe has been changed and I believe is more Chinese than Japanese. Since the new owners took over some years ago, the menu has been slightly 'Chinafied' from the original Japanese owners, however, they have expanded the menu for the better and the choices are excellent, with genuine Japanese flavours shining through.Staff can be a little offhand and seemingly hurried for no reason, but this may be a cultural thing for efficient customer service. If you're in Rundle Mall, Katsumoto is worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.Pictured: Miso soup and tempura bento box.Highly recommended

Monike San: Sato Japanese Restaurant is a delightful culinary escape that feels just like stepping into Japan. We first saw this bustling spot on a Saturday, packed with diners, and decided to try our luck on a quieter Monday. The food did not disappoint—every dish was super delicious. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, a true highlight. The tempura was perfectly fried with a light, crispy batter. Banquet A, featuring beef shogayaki, was a standout with its robust ginger flavor.Service was exceptional, adding to the overall fantastic experience. For anyone seeking authentic Japanese cuisine with a welcoming atmosphere, Sato Japanese Restaurant is highly recommended. You’ll leave with a satisfied palate and a desire to return.

Sicily Mylove: according to the traditional food flavours and that it's a family owned which you can never go wrong! The food has amazing flavours in every plate ordered. Kate Munro: . The only thing that was lacking was the tempura batter on the prawns - thick and doughy - but the vegetables were perfect. Service was friendly, prompt, and servers were friendly with each other.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible unless they have a ramp hidden somewhere.

Susie Leach: What a find! We were lucky to come across this restaurant near our Airbnb. It was authentic, fresh and delicious. Shin and Mau were very hospitable and went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Impeccable service. The chef made awesome sushi rolls!!! Thankyou,Mark n Susie.Dietary restrictions: Catered for Gluten Free

Nal Nal: The interior makes you feel like you're visiting Japan. I had a $32 sashimi + tempura bento and the unagi seemed delicious. I liked it because it had a bit of an authentic Japanese bento feel, but it was disappointing that there was no tap beer. The Korean man serving the hall was friendly, and the bathroom interior was very unique, so be sure to visit the bathroom. It's a bit pricey, but the sashimi quality was good and it's worth coming for the bento.
