Master5Molotov (Master_Molotov): The food and the service were great. I felt a little rushed as they were busy all good.We had the common sweet and sour pork, fried duck, garlic king prawns, Mongolian beef and steamed rice. Portions are enough but get a little more rice just to be sureIn terms of the prices, I reckon they are right for a proper restaurant. Might come back to try different dishes.

Jamie Parry: Gluten free menu was amazing.a started with the steamed oysters. followed by the honey chicken and salt and pepper prawns. highly recommendDietary restrictions: gluten free menu was amazing

Tan Me Baby: Lovely nostalgic Chinese dining experience. Our first time and we spontaneously went on a Saturday for a late lunch and it was delicious. The separate Gluten Free menu was wonderful. To have that level of consideration in such a large venue and with such a large menu is excellent. We look forward to returning and working our way through both menus!Staff were really attentive and friendly.Dietary restrictions: Separate gluten free menu 👌🏽

Fev Simatos: We have been visiting HoC for over a decade. Tonight was the best it has been in a while. New menu, same favourite dishes. Crispy Duck pancakes, best crispy duck ever. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent, quick and attentive. Atmosphere was great. Not too busy but not quiet. Overall we just had a great dinner. So happy new ownership are succeeding for this institution!

Jasmine L: Absolutely delicious food and great service! Super duper recommend the barramundi Yello curry! Something is worth to die for!!!!! The fish is still so crunchy after being in the sauce !!!! Another highlight is the special - scallops!! Coconut and scallops?! Who would have thought !!!!! Wine list also good! We had white and red. Definitely recommend the red! 💕staffs are very nice and friendly!

Rob Gibson: Attentive service and tasty original Thai dishes

Aman Mattoo: This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

yTez Nash: Food is very good and excellent service. Rather cramped and uncomfortable stools at some tables. A little expensive. Had the tasting menu. Very nice s&p squid. Pork belly for me was mostly fat. Overall Very tasty.Parking: Parked in market car park

Tania Kemp: Great service and foodVegetarian options: Wok tossed vegetables are fantasticWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and dine outside option as well

Suzanne Haynes: The staff at Ying Chow were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful, smiles all the time and very attentive. We enjoyed entrees of chicken and corn soup very nice, thick with pulled chicken, Dim Sims, steamed with generous and tasty filling, curry puffs and satay chicken kebabs. We had the smoked duck pieces with a tea sauce, again generous served and nicely cooked, the fresh prawn and sugar pea dish had a lovely sauce with a perfect cook on the prawn. I can't remember the names of the two other dishes but they were also full of flavour .

Boon wee KUAH: 5 days without asian food, decided to opt for chinese comfort food dinner for 8 of us, Henry was fantastic help, wine selection was outstanding, had to restrain from ordering the basket reserve shiraz from rockford. steamed coral trout was great, salted fish fried rice was good, pork ribs fine, all vegetable dishes went well, might order different dishes next time. really enjoy the service from Henry and others.

Rowena Browne: We have a family reunion to celebrate, and my sister suggested her favourite Chinese restaurant in Gouger Street. It was difficult to find a car parking nearby on a Saturday night, so I went to the Market Carpark, which cost me $8 for 4 hours. The lobster dish was amazing ! We picked them fresh from their aquarium. We ordered a variety of vegetarian, chicken, pork, and beef dishes, and they were all delicious! I hope my photos can make you want to visit this place for your next Authentic Chinese Cuisine. They have small toilets and they have Disabled ones too.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes on their Menu.

Alexa Nguyen: Friendly staff. We had the lobster which was sold at market price, peking duck, steamed oysters with XO sauce, and many other delicious dishes. It was not too busy compared to other similar restaurants. The corkage fee per bottle of wine was $18. You can also BYO whiskey and spirits for an additional fee.

Ahura Ventures: Top notch dim simsFood: 5/5 …

Charlie Custer: Service staff were good but it's confusing unless you have been to this establishment before. Yum cha was decent but no menu, so you have to know what they have and what you want or you say yes to what's being offered to your table and hopefully the offerings appeal to you or you get a variety of choices. My drink order was incorrect twice but the food was ok for the price. I'll go back again to try this place, because I want to like it and I see great potential for this place. Disabled people will find it hard to navigate the dining areas and no place to store a walker. I did request this in my booking.

Francis Tan: I haven't been here for a while, but it brings back fond memories. Coming from SG, this is one of a few Yum Cha places in South Australia that we really enjoy.Parking: I recommend getting there early if you need to park. Even on a Sunday.

Beth Barletta: Have been customers for years. Have always eaten in but got takeaway today. Salty fish rice holds special memories for our family. But today's was ok could not find any actual specks of the fish. A little disappointed.

Tess Clark: Tuesday lunch in May. Staff were friendly. Food was nice. We had spring rolls, shallot pancake, pork and prawn dumplings, crispy duck, Chinese greens and special fried rice. Very fresh ingredients. Quick service. The rice was a bit on the sweet side for us, not sure if there was MSG used as we both had a bit of dry mouth but could just have been us on the day. The duck was lovely.

Travis Murphy: is very good.Kid-friendliness: Yes, kids are welcomed here. They love the food too. Our young son quickly moved from chicken to duck duck dishes. Taro Duck is a family favourite.

Beth Shields: My last night at this wonderful restaurant. We have had many lovely family evenings here. Great food great service great prices, nothing is too much trouble. Will be very sad to see the end of this lovely place, a proper restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you Wendy and staff. Very sad to see you go but hope you enjoy your retirement. Beth shields .

Tash Blesing: This place is awesome, the staff are fantastic people. Been eating here for years and never had a 'dud' meal. Their Honey Chicken is To Die For, the best. Also their Mongolian Beef Steak is the best around.1st April 2023They are still there, thank Goddess. The meals, staff and atmosphere is awesome. The business is still up for sale, but we will continue to eat there as long as we can.November 2023Visited our favourite restaurant again, had crispy beef, special fried rice and honey chicken, always so yummy. The owners have put their restaurant back on the market, so this place is up for sale again. Again, we'll still be eating here until we can't anymore.April 2024Visted many more times since November 2023. But an update on the sale of The Lotus. The owners have sold, sad for us as we will miss the Honey Chicken and Crispy Beef ☹ But Happy for Wendy and her husband, as they can finally retire. We were informed that the doors close at the end of the financial year 2024. So get in for a delicious meal, but they will be closed for the first 2 weeks of May and then open again until the end of the financial year. Lovely staff, delicious food, will miss them, so we'll be visiting as much as we can before closing.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome and they have a children's menu.

Greg Mander: What a great little family owned restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and very happy to accommodate all requests on the night. Food was fantastic fresh and very tender packed full of flavour with ample serving per dish. Price was great and affordable. We would recommend you try this gem of a restaurant and we will definitely be back soon.Too the owners if you see the review. After 40+ years of you owning and operating this restaurant you have not lost your enthusiasm and quality and all your staff love you as you treat them likefamily.🙏👏👌

Dan C.: Amazing service and fantastic Chinese food.My family have been coming here for years and it’s always taken care of us.Great people and food.Thankyou

East Taste Cafe: what do users think?

Miss M: ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL. Ordered the Peking Beef : the meat was fantastic, not fatty and disgusting like every other place. This was crispy, TASTY, just 10/10. The coriander chicken was nice and spicy, chicken breast was velveted beautifully - not like rubber that we usually get elsewhere. Honestly we have had the worst run with take-out food lately, we haven’t had East Taste in almost a year and a half and this was the best decision we’ve made in a long time. I’m a pretty seasoned cook so we have high standards in our household and East Taste has definitely ticked all the boxes. BBC was delicious, shallot cake, I should have taken some photos! 100/10. It just feels so good to not be disappointed after a meal.

Luke Amery: Just about to leave, amazing food. I'll be back

Soi38 Regional Thai Restaurant: what do users think?

Things I Find “Robby Robstar” Interesting: I'm always scared when we order the 'just feed us' menu. The first dish that came out was tiny, but the flavour was huge. The waitor called it the snack. As each meal came out, we had a decent amount of rice or roti to go with it.Each bite was better than the last. Each dish out shining the last. I didn't realise that Thai food tasted and looked this great.Of course, I had to match my food with a Thai beer and I was transported to Thailands most modern 5 star restaurant. The waitor was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was good and kept up with the drinks.By the time we finished our food, we entered a food comma. We tried to walk it off by walking to the cinema, paying for our tickets, and falling asleep. Haha.I highly recommend this place.

Alex Vasek (Alex's Ace's): 🌟 ** Dining Experience at @soi.38 Adelaide ** 🌟If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine or simply in search of a remarkable dining experience in Adelaide, look no further than Soi 38. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were captivated by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends traditional Thai elements with contemporary design, creating a cozy and inviting space that immediately sets the tone for an exceptional meal. Our culinary journey began with a selection of appetizers that were both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. Each bite was tender, juicy, crispy, and bursting with flavour, offering a tantalizing glimpse of the culinary delights that lay ahead. For our main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes that showcased the rich, aromatic flavours of Thai cuisine. Crispy pork belly with vegetables was a highlight, featuring perfectly cooked pork belly and chilli spices with crispy vegetables is a harmonious balance of sweet, sour, and savory notes. Equally impressive was the chicken massaman, a symphony of flavours with tender chicken pieces, vibrant vegetables, and a creamy, coconut-infused sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The dessert was no less impressive. We couldn't resist trying the black Sticky Rice, a classic Thai treat that provided the perfect end to our meal. The sweet, ripe lagoon paired with the creamy coconut sticky rice was a match made in heaven, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and eager to return. What truly set our dining experience apart was the impeccable service. The staff at Soi 38 were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They took the time to explain each dish, offered recommendations, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Whether you're a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or looking to explore new culinary horizons, Soi 38 promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommend! 🍜🍛

Andrew Ng: The rump steak was pretty ordinary, barely above the pub grubs I usually pay less than half for. It was full of sinews and ligaments and dry, but the sauces were much better. So I still give it a 3 stars. The service was above average but the attitude was underwhelming esp when my friend told the staff of his opinion on the goat curry which has the same problem as the rump steak. She didn't respond well to the constructive criticism.I know the hospitality business is going through a rough patch now and I don't want to disparage any outlet into folding up.I will still give Soi 38 another go, afterall I can't rule out that tonight is one of those off occasions for the chef. I will drop by again next week or after.

Golden Boy: what do users think?

Me Pips: We’ve been to Golden Boy so many times. Yeah, it’s that good. Tonight we had great table service - thank you Isaiah! And it got me thinking what’s so great about Golden Boy. I mean apart from the spectacular food. It’s the customer service. The wait staff know the menu and are passionate about the dishes, relaying the details with wide eyed enthusiasm. A delight as always.

Sara: My daughter took me to Golden Boy on a Monday at lunchtime. We were celebrating my birthday as well as her own, which both occur in August. We chose to order the tuk tuk menu rather than having a full a la carte. We mentioned what type of tastes we had when it came to Asian fusion/Thai food and let the staff serve us a variety of dishes. The portions were extremely generous and absolutely delicious. The staff waited until we had consumed one dish before bringing on another. We can highly recommend the betel leaf with ocean trout if you enjoy something spicy - such delicate little servings, and the soft shell crab dish was a particular winner. Diners have both spoon and fork as cutlery or can use chopsticks if preferred.Coconut ice cream was an ideal dessert.Chilled wine accompanied our meal. The young man who waited on us was a delight.I cannot speak highly enough of Golden Boy and am at a loss to understand the couple of negative reviews I have read. The positives certainly outweigh that minority anyway.

Ruth Carpenter: Golden Boy was recommended to us, and we're so glad we went there. It was the best meal of our 3 weeks holiday in Australia! The service was excellent. Georgie, who served us, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She gave good advice too.The food itself was to die for. We chose the tasting menu, and it was hard to choose a favourite from all the tasty, interesting dishes. We're planning to come back to Adelaide and will be booking Golden Boy for sure, maybe every night!

Keith Seanard: We have gotten into the habit of doing the chefs choice menus and this was one of the best. The waitress asked about preferences and I had a beef main and everyone else got to share seafood and chicken. Don’t be fooled by the small serving sizes, I left feeling very full. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Since it was my wife’s birthday, they brought her a funny desert. My only complaint was the loud music more suited to a bar than dining.Vegetarian options: My girls were quite happyParking: I suggest you Uber to and from as there is no easy parking

Mitchell Hadjinicolaou: My partner and I had dinner at the restaurant on Saturday night celebrating my birthday. I have been to Golden 4 times and it never disappoints. We were served by Georgia who informed us she had only been working there for a month but her service was exceptional and she said she was really enjoying working there. The food was amazing and a great variety. The 8 courses we shared was more than enough food and we were never waiting too long between dishes. Can’t recommend a better place and we are looking forward to our next time there.

LADAMSPIANO: . They all contain very flavourful food, and we even had left overs which were amazing for lunch the next day.The atmosphere in there was amazing, nice subtle music, and everyone simply delighting in the food they were being served. All the staff were extremely polite and professional! If I could I would give this place a 6/5 stars it was that amazing. Thanks for leaving a lasting impression 😁Dietary restrictions: They can make anything to suit the dietary needs. Very versatile menu with interchangeable ingredients. My girlfriend has celiac so they made sure everything was gluten free!
