Gaucho's Argentinian Restaurant: what do users think?

Alex Vasek (Alex's Ace's): *✨ A Feast for the Senses at @gauchosadelaide ✨**Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Gauchos Adelaide, a true gem in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked in, the warm, rustic ambience wrapped around me, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.**🥩 Rib Eye & Striploin: A Carnivore's Dream 🥩**We started with their Rib Eye and Striploin—two cuts of beef that were nothing short of extraordinary. The Rib Eye was beautifully marbled, with a rich flavour that melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection, it had that delicate balance of tenderness and a slight char that only comes from expert grilling. The Striploin was equally impressive, boasting a robust flavour with a perfect crust on the outside and juicy, tender meat on the inside. Gauchos truly knows how to honour the art of grilling, and these steaks were a testament to their craft.**🥟 Empanadas & Calamari: Perfect Starters 🦑**Next up were the Empanadas and Calamari—ideal starters to whet the appetite. The Empanadas were golden parcels of delight, with a perfectly flaky crust and a rich, savoury filling that was bursting with flavour. Each bite transported me straight to the streets of Argentina. The Calamari was another standout, with a crispy exterior that gave way to tender, succulent squid. Paired with a zesty dipping jam sauce, it was a match made in heaven.**🍮 Crème Brûlée: A Sweet Finale 🍮**And just when I thought the experience couldn’t get any better, we were presented with their Crème Brûlée for dessert. The caramelized sugar on top provided the perfect crack as my spoon dug into the creamy, velvety custard beneath. It was the ideal way to end the meal—light, yet indulgent and bursting with the perfect amount of sweetness.**🍷 Wine & Atmosphere: The Perfect Pairing 🍷**To complement the meal, we enjoyed a glass of their Argentinian malbec wine, which boasted a strong flavour that enriched the profile of the steaks.Thank you Gauchos#OneDishAtATime🍽

Craig Lardner: My business trips to Adelaie have to have a Gouchos dinner on at least one night. This was special… the lamb chops and a side of chips washed down with a glass of Argentinean red. All I could leave were the bones and the lemon! Sorry Chef? But the meal …Awesome! The waiters and waitresses are forever on watch and have the customer at heart. As a former national customer service manager of a major corporate enterprise, it’s a pleasure to watch them work with this high level of dedication.Craig, Sydney

Sam Williamson: Amazing food - being vegetarian I was not sure what id be able to choose from on a set menu - but there was Soooo much great food! Even vegan options and other dietary needs are welcomed.Great atmosphere and the staff know what’s up when it comes to service and their customers; and knowing the menu.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vego food on the menu.Dietary restrictions: All dietary needs are catered for - they’ll be sure to find something for you

Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Africola for dinner which is probably the coolest restaurant in South Australia and really reminded me of some of the fun eateries in London, turns out the owner is from the UK and has settled in Adelaide, lucky for us he’s brought an immaculately styled venue with a killer atmosphere.Food wise my favourite was the peri peri chicken and the yummy carrot side. The chicken skin sandwich is kind of a signature but I wasn’t a huge fan. If you can book into the open kitchen seating that would be a really cool experience also.

Fionn MacRedmond: I mean sometimes, very rarely, you go somewhere and everything delivers. This was one of those places. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Truly, it was elevated. And interesting...not just boring generic blah blah food other places churn out. This was menu was creative and with intention. We're from Melbourne so sadly won't be back anytime soon, however will be singing the praises for some time to come. Bravo..Brava!

Carolyn Lee: Innovative and flavourful food with superb service and great atmosphere. If you want to try something a bit different in Adelaide, this is the place to go. All the food was incredibly tasty and well thought out with interesting flavours but still using familiar ingredients. The service was SO good here, our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic without ever being pushy. Loved the vibe of the whole restaurant.Would recommend the Peri Peri Chicken, Chicken Liver Pate and Crispy Chicken Tea Sandwich.

Aaron Henderson: My wife and I just rolled back to our Air BnB after an exceptional experience at Africola. The food ,service and the atmosphere was on point. It was a first time trying a fusion of African food and I can happily say we'll be back again.Well done team Africola 👏

Rosey Connolly: Big thank you to the team at africola ..wow wow wow.. amazing service ..amazing culinary delights.. we sat outside ..where warm enough.. but mostly the lovely young lady that served us on the night made the outing even more special..big thank you ❤️ the wine selection we had to choose from..perfect .. loved the B Chardonnay and even got to met the wine maker 😄. We thoroughly enjoyed the even .. 10 out of ten ..❤️💯

Steve Tempest: I really enjoyed my dining experience here, and will be remembered. A lot of new food experiences with each course and all were extremely tasty.I'd definitely recommend this place for people who like to try new things they wouldn't get elsewhere. Everyone left feeling very full which is often hard with a degistation style sitting.

Maria Kl: Food was exceptional and lovely experience.

Mel: Totally lived up to the reviews. Amazing unique and interesting food, that's great value. They only do feed me menus and there was SO MUCH food! They happily put it in takeaway containers for us. Drinks were excellent. The vibe and playlist was spot on. Must go if you're in Adelaide! Remember to book in advance. Also, they aren't open all day, even though it says they are on the website. Only open from 6 pm for dinner.

Chris Braeker: What a revelation this place is! The food was absolutely spectacular and full of surprises. We loved every moment of it. Our group of three was sat at the bar which was great to appreciate Gios handy work. He was the best host and made us feel comfortable. We will certainly be back!

胡惠珠: Although the food in this restaurant is Latin American cuisine, it is actually more in line with Spanish cuisine. The food is quite rich and diverse, and the color is beautiful, which makes people feel good and appetizing. It has vegetarian food, seafood and steaks, which are very healthy, and the desserts and drinks are also It is even more delicious and delicious. Even if it is cold when taken out, it is still delicious. It can also be easily reheated in the oven or microwave. It is a wonderful store that I highly recommend.

Frances Gumapac: Always a good experience with the food and service. Our waiter recommended a few cocktails to try and I was not disappointed. The pisco sour tasted a little sweet, a little sour, and was beautifully presented. The coxinhas and empanadas came out fast and freshly hot. Not greasy. Both entrees were full of fillings and flavour. Of course, the paellas here are also very good.I keep coming back to Cumbia because of all these good food, drinks and people who work there.

Roaming Bush Barbie: Perfect breakfast and great service 😄 I had the prawn pancake 🤤 and son had bacon and eggs. The coffee was too sublime. Only issue, I regret sitting outside as there were construction works across the road and it was quite noisy but her not the cafes fault. They had the heaters on which was received with great enthusiasm. I will be back for more

Bernadette Mc Namara: A cold wintry Friday...lets do lunch! But where to go? Didnt want what has become boring pub food...and found CUMBIA! We were welcomed and seated warmly..under the heater in the garden area. Our waitress Alexandra was patient as we perused the menu.with so many delicious meals it was decided a paella and some garlic prawns accompanied by arepa...the dishes came out hot, aroma loaded and extremely tasty! OMG too many choices...really need to head back to try something new! The food was superb..a smokey paella...the garic prawns were plentiful moist and garlicky tasty and the arepa was a surprise to our taste buds yummy to say the least. Oh did I mention the margaritas??? Perfectly suited to our food. A very pleasant encounter all round! Ee will be back!

Ten Ton: The chefs here are a combination of both artists and scientists. This is not food served here, but beautiful and perfectly balanced taste stimulants whose flavours both confound and delight in their complexity. The best of which come before the maron, with the exception of the emu which is prepared in a way that patriotically rival the world’s best meats. Thanks to the excellent service, this is an exceptionally sophisticated experience and should be sampled by anyone who has the means. This experience would be best in the summer where twilight would allow visualisation of the garden surrounds and the preference for more sophisticated garden lighting, especially in the winter, is this restaurant’s only criticism. Bravo to the entire team.

Tim Quinney: A very unique experience. As the name suggests Botanics is definitely the theme of this restaurant and it's menu. Which personally I found to be at times challenging.Over the course of a few hours which never felt rushed, a very wide range of dishes were fed to us. There were none that were too difficult to palette but some that were a bit more floral than I perhaps was used to.The larger protein portions were all very tasty but I would say on the smaller end of fine dining tasting experiences.Overall I walked out feeling a little confused. It was certainly interesting but maybe not what I would say is delicious. Well worth the experience however.

AP MD: ADDIT: I have come back to Restaurant Botanic since their new head chef has started and am blown away by this places evolutionEverything that they excelled in before they have somehow taken to the next level. The delicacy and intricacy of each course is only overcome by the passion and complexity of the flavours. Everything this place does - whether it's food, service or environment - they do it to it's maximum potentialRestaurant Botanic has done amazing things for the South Australian food industry and I see no element of them slowing down. This time next year I believe they'll be spoken about on a global scaleIncredible experience and beautiful evolution - a must try for everyoneAdelaide's new restaurant has definitely made its mark. I was beyond blown away by the quality of the food, the devotion of the staff to making every little detail perfect, and the uniqueness of their approach. The food is not only amazing, but the entire experience is a journey. I see big things for this restaurant in the future, they should be very proud of themselves

James Alexandre: If you wish to experience the best Australia has to offer, and what we are all about, you must bring yourself to this restaurant and participate in the momentous journey Chef Jamie and Webster put in front of you. Their culinary artistry will evoke senses unknown to you prior to this experience. Every dish is a testament to their passion and mastery, transforming each bite into an unforgettable memory.

Frankie Lam: Cutting edge technique and creativity in using Australian local produces. Have both looks and favours. Very enjoyable 4 hours, do not think any other restaurant produce anything that can match this.Downside is service at the beginning, seems the bar and kitchen do not commute well and make it feel bit rush.Anyway, this is last week run by Justin James, will see if the new chef can maintain and improve the reputation.

Donna Stevens: First class attention to service for the customer, great welcome and attention through out the night.Highlight was the attendence to the table was from the pattisiere chef, that constructed the desserts. So nice to see someone from the kitchen at this price point.

Robert Scarborough: Mushrooms fudge dust with mushroom powder topped caviar. What who thinks of these things. The brilliant chef that’s. Who. I so glad they did.* A light fluffy mushroom delight with sea taste of delicious caviar. Brilliant way to finish. This was a night to remember a night of some of the best food I’ve ever tasted.I didn’t get to taste some of Botanic’s & Justin’s dishes. Though I did last week at Tasting Australia. What I did taste was the brilliance of Daniel & Tony from Sixpenny. A brilliance I am glad to have seen and eaten. I might just go to Sydney to do it again.WHAT A SENSATIONAL NIGHT.So after I walk for 30 minutes to a favourite bar. Taste 1/2 glass red. Nope body is so full of food I can’t even drink. Go figure. But true

Bob Elliott: Restaurant botanic should be rated as AAAAA. It really is a once in a life time experience. The friendly greeting by Tom and Ruby. Removing our coats and umbrella. The detailed explanation of the experience we were to have was first class. Each dish was beautifully presented with local shrubs, leaves, rocks from the botanic gardens being used to high light wash dish.If Tom or Ruby were not giving a detailed explanation one of the many excellent chefs were out. There were 29 diners on the night and the whole experience took 4 hours.I am already saving the pennies to go again.Well done

J H (justher): . I really want to try that duck but couldnt..If I do come again, I’ll do lunch just to get some time to walk around the garden as well.

Belinda Wellings: Service was attentive and our steak mains were delicious. The brussells sprouts as a side were divine! The restaurant was empty the night we were there so the vibe was unfortunately a bit lacking.BUT we could not fault the staff, including their wine matching recommendation, and so we decided it was a lovely intimate dinner in this beautifully presented space.

Adam S: Servicenwas great - very attentive waiter. The atmosphere is also great - the period and themed decor is really well done. The food - one of the best food experiences I've had. Went with the five course chef's choice with paired wines. All amazing. In particular, the lamb was sensational. Was juat passing through Adelaide, but now i have a reason to return - just for the lamb!

Mark Swan: We started with a drink in the upstairs bar. The maître d’ in charge of the bar was welcoming and friendly. Good selection of wines by the glass.Dinner in the cellar was a knock-out. We opted for the four-course tasting menu, and each course was excellent. Well thought-out flavour combinations and a careful pairing of accompanying wines. Service was on point - our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The price for pre-dinner drinks, plus the tasting menu and wine flight, was much less than we would have anticipated. Excellent value for money.Highly recommended.

Gemma Frances Wellbeing: Beautifully appointed bar. Cosy and interesting decor.Staff were attentive and friendly.I had the tasting menu which had highlights like the kingfish terrine. The cute butter and crusty bread was also a highlight. All other dishes were ok but not ones I would return to in a hurry.

Greg Willson: Nice people great atmosphere.

Sandra Barazin: Do yourself a favor and visit this iconic restaurant! The service is unmatched, the staff truly cares about your experience and make great recommendations. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we ate melted in our mouths and transported us back to Italy. Absolutely the best meal you will have in Adelaide! Highly recommend!

David Milanese: Nice atmosphere. Pasta portions were small for the price. We were all still pretty hungry. Wine list was good and the desserts looked nice.

Stephen Guest: My wife and I had a lovely meal at L'italy. Even though we went there mid week, it had a lovely vibe going, made better by the music that was being played. The service was both pleasant and efficient and the food was excellent. As we were leaving my wife said to me we'll be coming back here soon!

Michael Cuthill: Nice setting, good food, excellent service.

Roger Palubinski: Food is amazing, service fabulous. A little piece of Italy in the middle of North Adelaide. Can not recommend highly enough!

Kat Tang: Foods are amazing. Wines are great. Nothing to complain. Definitely will come back.

Anthony Chitti: Amazing food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Thanks so much for a lovely evening and for looking after me and my family.

Stephen Dorries: Gnocchi . Best in Australia

Carol Loh: This restaurant is a little gem in North Adelaide! We had an amazing time and the food was delicious! We had a guest who required gluten free menu and we were surprised that most items on the menu are gluten free and still taste absolutely delicious.

Richard Partridge: good food

Tania Stringer: always fabulous

Vanessa Ha: The food is some of the best Italian food I have ever tasted, authentic and delicious. The staff and owner Luca, are friendly and personable. Will definitely return again and again.

Annelie: Absolutely great service! Food is fantastic! Made vegan options for me and did a special order dirty Martini. Most of the menu is gluten free and you wouldn't even know. A must visit in North Adelaide.

ReginaC: Luca our server was excellent. The food for out table of 7 came out at a decent pace and was quite tasty. My only complaint is that there was a strange glass like crunch in my risotto about 5/6 of the way through my dish which caused me some panic. I spat out the mouthful and gingerly felt around for any laceration. Thankfully there was none but I certainly did not finish my meal. I did not complain because it did not injure me and I couldn't categorically prove it was glass, and it may not have been. It was a foreign item, so my only complaint is that there should be care in the kitchen!

Amanda Kerr: What a truly amazing experience. The food was so well presented and the range of dishes served was incredible. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and really helped to make the experience so memorable.

Anthony Fonovic: Spectacular evening! Food was absolutely delicious and staff were fabulous. Not the most affordable experience had but definitely well worth every cent

Michael Whyment: The food was exceptional, the service some of the best I've experienced and the atmosphere was great. The only issue is that I left still hungry. The portions were off in comparison to the other degustations I've had and we had to swing past Macca's on the way home. For $140 I want to have to undo the top button of my pants because I'm that full. If I could give 4 and a half stars I would because I couldn't fault anything else.Shout out to the beef course - probably one of the best, if not the best thing I've ever eaten. Truly a chef's kiss moment.

Matthew Wragg: Had a fantastic experience. From the phone call to confirm the booking to the last sip of St Hugo, it was sublime.Food was amazing, the wine great and service spectacular. We will be back.

Definitely recommend the red! 💕staffs are very nice and friendly!

Rob Gibson: Attentive service and tasty original Thai dishes

Aman Mattoo: This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

Allen Grant: A wonderful fine dining experience. Perfect for a special occasion. An amazing degustation menu that leaves you very full and experiencing some wonderful flavours.Staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect. A great way to showcase vegan food.

Rajeev Desai: Amazing. Have never had a full vegan culinary experience but allegra does it with minimalistic brilliance. Each dish had just the right portions to bring together flavour and texture. After the 5th course you feel satisfied but not overally full. We experienced the winter/spring menu with the produce you'd expect from the season. An extensive wine and cocktail menu. Loved it.

Cristel Chambers: A beautiful intimate gourmet food experience which also happens to be vegan. Lots of locally sourced produce used, wonderful friendly hosts and a great wine list to accompany the food. They were also able to cater for our group of 5 which had 4 different sets of dietary requirements, including coeliac and complex allergies.Absolutely worth the price tag.Dietary restrictions: The menu is already vegan, so vegetarians are automatically catered for as well as folks with any seafood allergies. They were also able to cater for coeliacs, gluten sensitive, allergies to rice, cashew, pistachio and peas.

Matthew Yong-O'Gorman: The set menu was delicious. Very well balanced and not too pretentious.

Boon wee KUAH: consistently highly recommended and packed, so must be doing something right. service was good, strange policy that 8 should have tasting menu, as italian food strikes me easy to share. starters were good, burrata with cucumber a fresh twist, carpaccio and squid good, croquettes and swordfish crostini expensive n not best value. we wanted pasta to share, eggplant was great, squid ink pasta was different but tasty, tagliatelle w crab good and duck pappardelle was creamy. not really my idea of italian food, dishes all seem to be more complicated than necessary, good atmosphere n. clearly super popular

Avijeet Sen: Visited in Sep 2024Based on recommendations from multiple ppl, I ended up visiting Oggi. And I am glad that I listened to the recommendations.Oggi is a fine restaurant with a no nonsense menu where anything ordered would be good in my opinion. I ended up having a few starters and 2 pastas - all of which was quite excellent. For dessert, I had the tiramisu which was fantastic too.For cocktail lovers, I’d recommend having the Negroni. Now I’ll also recommend ppl visiting Adelaide to have a meal or two at Oggi 🙂

Deanna Kangas: This is one of my go-to's in the city for delicious, quality food. They have an entire Vegan Menu with so many yummy options that we always order them all. They can also make the food Gluten Free, as I have both dietary requirements and even have Vegan friendly wines so you don't have to miss out on anything. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Plenty for both vegetarian's and vegans, we had a group of 8 vegans the last time we went.Dietary restrictions: Substantial Vegan and Gluten free options.

Celeste Ariel: Have dined at House Of George many times over the years and have always LOVED the food, atmosphere and service. As a long term vegan, it's often hard to find restaurants that offer more than a couple options, however George has a full vegan menu, in which every dish is outstanding! Some of the very best vegan food in Adelaide - a must visit for every vegan!Dietary restrictions: Caters for vegans amazingly - a full vegan menu, best vegan in Adelaide!

Carole Boucherie: Fabulous Mediterranean food, worth coming if only just for the pitta bread! It is freshly made on premises and comes to the table warm, fluffy and so delicious. The rest of the food was absolutely top notch too, special mention to the taramasalata, a melt in the mouth amazing grilled octopus and a superb roast lamb. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, and the atmosphere is cosy and warm. Definitely recommended

Ben (South Australia Vibes): This restaurant has some great tasting Mediterranean food. The dishes have very good flavour and they serve up a generous amount as well. The wine section is also good here.Love the ambience and setting inside as well.

Jack Symes-Peschel: incredible service, tilly was so fast and patient with our questions and dietary requirements. can not wait for our next visitRecommended dishes Steak Tartare, Octopus …

nitchyboy2: Food overall was great! We went with a relatively large party of 7 and all of the food we ordered was very nice. The service was quite average - staff were not particularly attentive and after the entrees of prawns and pita and dips the server asked us to tip our prawn shells onto a communal plate rather than just giving us fresh plates which was bizzare. Overall would go back as the food was lovely but they should pay more attention to service

Soi38 Regional Thai Restaurant: what do users think?

Things I Find “Robby Robstar” Interesting: I'm always scared when we order the 'just feed us' menu. The first dish that came out was tiny, but the flavour was huge. The waitor called it the snack. As each meal came out, we had a decent amount of rice or roti to go with it.Each bite was better than the last. Each dish out shining the last. I didn't realise that Thai food tasted and looked this great.Of course, I had to match my food with a Thai beer and I was transported to Thailands most modern 5 star restaurant. The waitor was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was good and kept up with the drinks.By the time we finished our food, we entered a food comma. We tried to walk it off by walking to the cinema, paying for our tickets, and falling asleep. Haha.I highly recommend this place.

Alex Vasek (Alex's Ace's): 🌟 ** Dining Experience at @soi.38 Adelaide ** 🌟If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine or simply in search of a remarkable dining experience in Adelaide, look no further than Soi 38. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were captivated by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends traditional Thai elements with contemporary design, creating a cozy and inviting space that immediately sets the tone for an exceptional meal. Our culinary journey began with a selection of appetizers that were both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. Each bite was tender, juicy, crispy, and bursting with flavour, offering a tantalizing glimpse of the culinary delights that lay ahead. For our main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes that showcased the rich, aromatic flavours of Thai cuisine. Crispy pork belly with vegetables was a highlight, featuring perfectly cooked pork belly and chilli spices with crispy vegetables is a harmonious balance of sweet, sour, and savory notes. Equally impressive was the chicken massaman, a symphony of flavours with tender chicken pieces, vibrant vegetables, and a creamy, coconut-infused sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The dessert was no less impressive. We couldn't resist trying the black Sticky Rice, a classic Thai treat that provided the perfect end to our meal. The sweet, ripe lagoon paired with the creamy coconut sticky rice was a match made in heaven, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and eager to return. What truly set our dining experience apart was the impeccable service. The staff at Soi 38 were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They took the time to explain each dish, offered recommendations, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Whether you're a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or looking to explore new culinary horizons, Soi 38 promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommend! 🍜🍛

Andrew Ng: The rump steak was pretty ordinary, barely above the pub grubs I usually pay less than half for. It was full of sinews and ligaments and dry, but the sauces were much better. So I still give it a 3 stars. The service was above average but the attitude was underwhelming esp when my friend told the staff of his opinion on the goat curry which has the same problem as the rump steak. She didn't respond well to the constructive criticism.I know the hospitality business is going through a rough patch now and I don't want to disparage any outlet into folding up.I will still give Soi 38 another go, afterall I can't rule out that tonight is one of those off occasions for the chef. I will drop by again next week or after.

Elise Phillis: amazing restaurant, beautiful ambience and attractive and professional staff. we had the beef bourguignon, french onion soup, and escargot. all amazing, the soup is loaded with croutons you don’t even need bread for the table. the escargot were immensely rich and chewy and covered in garlic butter, and the bourguignon was rich and tender. one thing, the place is quite cramped. i haven’t gone during the morning or lunch hours but i can imagine it can get quite loud. for dinner though it was perfect.

Wade Zammit Meaney: Go to Paris by visiting the Adelaide East End. Every time I step in, I feel like I've been transported, even if it's just for a coffee. Any time of day, you won’t be disappointed. Today, I had a long macchiato, but if you’re thinking of breakfast, go for the continental. You won’t regret it, and you’ll feel like a true Parisian!

Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant: what do users think?

Mrs B: and loved it, there was more than enough food despite the portions being quite small, as we expected. We tried some new foods we've not experienced and the cocktails were fabulous, the 2014 Pinot Noir was amazing. The spacing of generously sized tables was perfect for a quiet cozy dinner.

Eddie Uchenna: I recently dined at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant and found the experience to be good, though not outstanding. The ambiance is certainly a highlight, with stunning views of the vineyard. The food was well-prepared, but some dishes fell short in terms of flavor. The wine pairings, however, were spot-on, elevating the overall meal. Service was attentive but could have been more personable. It’s a place that caters well to special occasions, but it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression on me.

Brenna Landis: The tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary, with each delicious course presented beautifully. The chefs brilliantly showcased the best of South Australian produce, with innovative and comforting dishes. Every bite was amazing, and the Penfolds wines perfectly matched, enhancing the flavours of each dish. A special mention is the scallop and fennel course! The service was impeccable, with the staff friendly and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Their passion for food and wine was evident in how they described each course, adding to our enjoyment of the evening. We felt truly cared for, and the relaxed yet refined atmosphere made it easy to enjoy each other’s company. It’s the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening with friends. Highly recommended!

Nicholas Van Der Sluys: I make a habit of dining at Magill Estate Restaurant whenever I am in Adelaide - it really is quite exceptional. That said, and maybe it is a case of too much of a good thing having dined four times in 18 months, the menu, stellar as it is, doesn't change often enough, even with seasonality of produce.Service from the maître d' and sommelier can be frosty, though the English waitress that served our table on two of my four recent visits is outstanding. The wine pairings are rigid and expensive. I find it preferable to order a few glasses plus a bottle of a lovely back vintage than to commit to the pairing.

Kayne (Kano La La): In Adelaide's verdant foothills, where nature's brush does paint,Lies Penfolds Magill Estate, a culinary saint.Where vineyards whisper secrets to the skies so blue,And city views blend perfectly with grapes' rich hue. Here, where modern lines meet the earth's ancient grace,Stands a restaurant, a sanctuary, a richly fabled place.Caviar and kingfish, each dish a crafted art,Beef so tender, sashimi that speaks to the heart.Tantalizing truffles and sourdough that's divine,Four types of butter, a gourmet's delight to dine.Cabernet and Shiraz, each sip a treasured note,Champagne bubbles dancing, Riesling in a golden coat.A Negroni’s bitter kiss, snacks that tease and please,Desserts that whisper sweetly, bringing you to your knees.Parmesan and Camembert, cheeses of the finest breed,Completing meals with elegance, fulfilling every need.Still water, soda, sparkling, spring—waters pure and true,Complementing fancy plates, a feast for eyes anew.In this epicurean haven, where service stands supreme,Magill Estate transforms meals into a symphonic dream.Modern architecture frames the view, leaf and vine entwine,Seasonal cuisine awaits, with wines impeccably fine.Daily lunch with leafy views, where time itself does pause,Creating moments memorable, winning sheer applause. For here in Penfolds' spiritual home, where history meets taste,Each visit is a melody, without a single waste.Come, savour the experience, where earth and sky conflate,At Penfolds Magill Estate, where simple joys await.

Allen Tang: My wife and I patron this amazing restaurant last Friday to celebrate our joint birthdays together. The service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted at the door till we left. Even though there was a main waiter assigned to our table, we loved the idea of having the different cooks bringing out our food and explaining the food as they served us. We had their Signature Tasting menu and as I was not a red meat eater, the replacement of the red meat with another was great and I was happy with them. We had a bottle of their GSM wine too. The ambience was great and our table look out to the night skyline of Adelaide. Kudos to the Chinese male server who took care of us through out the night. Will definitely come again to try their rest of their menu.Dietary restrictions: Great substitutions!Parking: Plenty of parking just outside the main restaurant.

Ingrid Westthorp: Exquisite food, pleasant surroundings, and attentive staffRecommended dishes Punjabi Lamb Tandoori, Naan, Butter Chicken …

Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Jasmine for dinner which is a lovely little spot, intimate and dimly lit with an impressive atmosphere. Indian as a cuisine generally seems to offer fine dining as a rarity or incredibly casual venues with nowhere in between but this straddles the two as an excellent middle ground. We had samosas which didn’t seem particularly traditional to me and the chicken tikka which was a small serve with a kick to it. Each main comes with an individual plate of rice but naturally we had to order an ingenious blue cheese naan also. I enjoyed the eggplant dish, the lamb korma and the butter chicken. Was it my favourite ever Indian no but it was certainly tasty

Viklesh Pratap: This is my 3rd trip to this marvelous restaurant and would be dis service not write a review to the nice food and atmosphere.Food is excellent so is their service. Food comes very quickly regardless of how busy they are.A must to taste their mouth watering foods if you travelling to Adelaide or you are local.Amrik and Lee will give you excellent service. Will be back soon. Thanks team.

MK: Just had the most delicious Indian dinner. Jasmin is authentic, each dish had awonderful mix of herbs and spices. We love our Indian food and this was the best Indian we have had in our 35 years in Australia. You can tell every dish is based on a much loved family recipe.Service was also impeccable. Thank you and bravo to the Jasmin team!

Gary Niblock: A stunning restaurant with a beautiful ambience. I had the Punjabi lamb tandoori and it was delicious along with the daal and rice. The naan was also perfect. I'd also like to add that the service was excellent and felt very personal despite being a first-time customer from interstate. I'd definitely come back again next time I'm in Adelaide.
