Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant: what do users think?

Mrs B: and loved it, there was more than enough food despite the portions being quite small, as we expected. We tried some new foods we've not experienced and the cocktails were fabulous, the 2014 Pinot Noir was amazing. The spacing of generously sized tables was perfect for a quiet cozy dinner.

Eddie Uchenna: I recently dined at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant and found the experience to be good, though not outstanding. The ambiance is certainly a highlight, with stunning views of the vineyard. The food was well-prepared, but some dishes fell short in terms of flavor. The wine pairings, however, were spot-on, elevating the overall meal. Service was attentive but could have been more personable. It’s a place that caters well to special occasions, but it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression on me.

Brenna Landis: The tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary, with each delicious course presented beautifully. The chefs brilliantly showcased the best of South Australian produce, with innovative and comforting dishes. Every bite was amazing, and the Penfolds wines perfectly matched, enhancing the flavours of each dish. A special mention is the scallop and fennel course! The service was impeccable, with the staff friendly and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Their passion for food and wine was evident in how they described each course, adding to our enjoyment of the evening. We felt truly cared for, and the relaxed yet refined atmosphere made it easy to enjoy each other’s company. It’s the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening with friends. Highly recommended!

Nicholas Van Der Sluys: I make a habit of dining at Magill Estate Restaurant whenever I am in Adelaide - it really is quite exceptional. That said, and maybe it is a case of too much of a good thing having dined four times in 18 months, the menu, stellar as it is, doesn't change often enough, even with seasonality of produce.Service from the maître d' and sommelier can be frosty, though the English waitress that served our table on two of my four recent visits is outstanding. The wine pairings are rigid and expensive. I find it preferable to order a few glasses plus a bottle of a lovely back vintage than to commit to the pairing.

Kayne (Kano La La): In Adelaide's verdant foothills, where nature's brush does paint,Lies Penfolds Magill Estate, a culinary saint.Where vineyards whisper secrets to the skies so blue,And city views blend perfectly with grapes' rich hue. Here, where modern lines meet the earth's ancient grace,Stands a restaurant, a sanctuary, a richly fabled place.Caviar and kingfish, each dish a crafted art,Beef so tender, sashimi that speaks to the heart.Tantalizing truffles and sourdough that's divine,Four types of butter, a gourmet's delight to dine.Cabernet and Shiraz, each sip a treasured note,Champagne bubbles dancing, Riesling in a golden coat.A Negroni’s bitter kiss, snacks that tease and please,Desserts that whisper sweetly, bringing you to your knees.Parmesan and Camembert, cheeses of the finest breed,Completing meals with elegance, fulfilling every need.Still water, soda, sparkling, spring—waters pure and true,Complementing fancy plates, a feast for eyes anew.In this epicurean haven, where service stands supreme,Magill Estate transforms meals into a symphonic dream.Modern architecture frames the view, leaf and vine entwine,Seasonal cuisine awaits, with wines impeccably fine.Daily lunch with leafy views, where time itself does pause,Creating moments memorable, winning sheer applause. For here in Penfolds' spiritual home, where history meets taste,Each visit is a melody, without a single waste.Come, savour the experience, where earth and sky conflate,At Penfolds Magill Estate, where simple joys await.

Allen Tang: My wife and I patron this amazing restaurant last Friday to celebrate our joint birthdays together. The service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted at the door till we left. Even though there was a main waiter assigned to our table, we loved the idea of having the different cooks bringing out our food and explaining the food as they served us. We had their Signature Tasting menu and as I was not a red meat eater, the replacement of the red meat with another was great and I was happy with them. We had a bottle of their GSM wine too. The ambience was great and our table look out to the night skyline of Adelaide. Kudos to the Chinese male server who took care of us through out the night. Will definitely come again to try their rest of their menu.Dietary restrictions: Great substitutions!Parking: Plenty of parking just outside the main restaurant.

George Zabanias: . Desserts and beer/wine/spirit selection is comprehensive. Also the béarnaise sauce is to die for. 10/10 every time.

Miss J: Nice ambiance with indoor and verandah seatings. Sourdough was really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good bread. 2 racks of ribs were marinated in bbq sauce and the meat just falls off the bone. Tastes so good. T Bone was cooked medium rare and so tender, it melts in your mouth. Went really well with the blue cheese sauce. Mushroom sauce was also really delicious, wish I had more. Housemade fries were crispy enough. And greens paired well with all the meats. Toasted almonds were crunchy. Pricey for the size served but they all tasted good.

Mike D: Absolutely love dining here for a special occasion. It’s our favourite steak place in Adelaide.Good menu, excellent wine selection and friendly staff. It can be a bit an expensive but we’ve never been disappointed! Hopefully one day I can try one of those massive Tomahawks!!

Bron Sparre: I went here last night with my bestfriend and her partner. The waiter and waitress's were very friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were delicious and I highly recommend the Lemon Meringue and Scalet Letter. The food was amazing. I personally couldn't fault any of it. The Steak Tartare was mouthwatering tender. I had the New York Strip aged steak, fantastic!I will certainly be back for another round in the future.

Diane Potter: Outdoor dining in this July does require more than a couple of blankets and more than a small overhead heaterDo winter Outdoor Dining better or don't do itYour staff were freezing in their short sleeve uniformsFood is fantasticThe rest begs for better for 'dine in, outside

Eddie Nasser: Great food. Excellent service. The waitress that looked after me the whole night had a beautiful smile and a genuine care to ensure I had an enjoyable meal. Very well trained and attentive staff who absolutely understand the meaning of hospitality. Not sure what my servers name was but she and the chefs concern in making sure I was enjoying my food showed their passion. My caesar salad was amazing and my steak cooked to perfection. Well done to the team. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Adelaide. As a chef and a lifetime hospitality professional that works day in day out with hospitality based businesses, my dining experience was A1. A note to the young lady with the dark hair, as I was dining alone your attentiveness and warm caring smile made my night. ❤️ Well done to the whole team. This was hospitality done right. 10/10 and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in Adelaide.

Sam Williamson: Amazing food - being vegetarian I was not sure what id be able to choose from on a set menu - but there was Soooo much great food! Even vegan options and other dietary needs are welcomed.Great atmosphere and the staff know what’s up when it comes to service and their customers; and knowing the menu.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vego food on the menu.Dietary restrictions: All dietary needs are catered for - they’ll be sure to find something for you

Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Africola for dinner which is probably the coolest restaurant in South Australia and really reminded me of some of the fun eateries in London, turns out the owner is from the UK and has settled in Adelaide, lucky for us he’s brought an immaculately styled venue with a killer atmosphere.Food wise my favourite was the peri peri chicken and the yummy carrot side. The chicken skin sandwich is kind of a signature but I wasn’t a huge fan. If you can book into the open kitchen seating that would be a really cool experience also.

Fionn MacRedmond: I mean sometimes, very rarely, you go somewhere and everything delivers. This was one of those places. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Truly, it was elevated. And interesting...not just boring generic blah blah food other places churn out. This was menu was creative and with intention. We're from Melbourne so sadly won't be back anytime soon, however will be singing the praises for some time to come. Bravo..Brava!

Carolyn Lee: Innovative and flavourful food with superb service and great atmosphere. If you want to try something a bit different in Adelaide, this is the place to go. All the food was incredibly tasty and well thought out with interesting flavours but still using familiar ingredients. The service was SO good here, our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic without ever being pushy. Loved the vibe of the whole restaurant.Would recommend the Peri Peri Chicken, Chicken Liver Pate and Crispy Chicken Tea Sandwich.

Aaron Henderson: My wife and I just rolled back to our Air BnB after an exceptional experience at Africola. The food ,service and the atmosphere was on point. It was a first time trying a fusion of African food and I can happily say we'll be back again.Well done team Africola 👏

Rosey Connolly: Big thank you to the team at africola ..wow wow wow.. amazing service ..amazing culinary delights.. we sat outside ..where warm enough.. but mostly the lovely young lady that served us on the night made the outing even more special..big thank you ❤️ the wine selection we had to choose from..perfect .. loved the B Chardonnay and even got to met the wine maker 😄. We thoroughly enjoyed the even .. 10 out of ten ..❤️💯

Steve Tempest: I really enjoyed my dining experience here, and will be remembered. A lot of new food experiences with each course and all were extremely tasty.I'd definitely recommend this place for people who like to try new things they wouldn't get elsewhere. Everyone left feeling very full which is often hard with a degistation style sitting.

Maria Kl: Food was exceptional and lovely experience.

Mel: Totally lived up to the reviews. Amazing unique and interesting food, that's great value. They only do feed me menus and there was SO MUCH food! They happily put it in takeaway containers for us. Drinks were excellent. The vibe and playlist was spot on. Must go if you're in Adelaide! Remember to book in advance. Also, they aren't open all day, even though it says they are on the website. Only open from 6 pm for dinner.

Chris Braeker: What a revelation this place is! The food was absolutely spectacular and full of surprises. We loved every moment of it. Our group of three was sat at the bar which was great to appreciate Gios handy work. He was the best host and made us feel comfortable. We will certainly be back!

Beverley Kelley: Excellent restaurant and the staff were lovely food great also!

Sharee B: We went to Culshaws for our wedding anniversary and ordered a number of tapas. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Staff were extremely polite and we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. My favourite was the chilli garlic prawns. Will definitely come back another time!

C B: We loved the tapas menu and the service was excellent! The tapas presentation was amazing with generous servings and not too pricey. I highly recommend and will be returning soon! We especially enjoyed the prawns and the Ceravolo wines 😋Thanks to the staff, you are all wonderful.

Andrew Bowden: We had a delightful night with friends from Hong Kong. We picked off Google reviews as we came from interstate, we were not disappointed, food was delicious, staff helpful & friendly. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

will: Lovely staff, except for the tall skinny pale man who sat next me and stared at me while i was eating, on the way out he followed me, i told him to stop and threatened to call the cops. he persisted and continued his journey. he says "i have to pay for what i have done" to this day he haunts my dreams and sleeps under my bed. my Wife says he isn't real. "HE ISNT REAL WILLIAM" she has now left me.

O O: What a nice little restaurant. So nice and quiet inside. Great service and nice food.

Riz Dan: Down from Brisbane for the weekend with friends. We had the set menu for $80 a head.Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and service.Super friendly and relaxed atmosphere while still being very top quality. So glad we spent our last night with friends at your venue and thanx heaps for looking after us so well.

Sarah B: Wow! Was absolutely amazed by the food and the service! We had a set menu and they were so accomodating with dietary requirements. I got served a whole broccoli, and I never thought I'd say this, but it was dish of the night! Every dish was an experience. I would love to come back here next time I am in Adelaide.

AP MD: flavoursHerringbone is a restaurant I've been looking forward to coming for some time now and the experience was exactly what I expected. Located just on the outskirts of Adelaide's business district, this restaurant goes back to basics and elevates them to the maximum levelThe farm-to-table style focuses more on getting the most out of its ingredients rather than overcomplicating a dish, and I loved every bit of that. I think there's a lot of strength that comes with doing more with lessEvery element of the food was incredible - the meats were delicious/tender, the sides were unique/flavourful and everything was served with clear passion.Combine this with friendly staff and a welcoming home-style environment and you have a great night outPlaces like this speak testimonies to Adelaide's growing good culture, particularly outside the heart of the city. I loved it here and will definitely be back; hopefully steak is on the menu next time

Andrew Schultz: Great variety of dishes offered with the set meal. This place is always busy so make sure you book in advance. The okra and hummus entree was my favorite and the bread is delicious! #BeatTheGrind

Bruce Henderson: Nice range of menu choices. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.

David Vorst: Great service great location

Sonya Knevitt (Sonya 'n' Shane): Stopped past for coffee with a group of 7. Fantastic service and great coffee.

Pete Reed: Went here on Sunday as most other restaurants were closed. Had the sirloin special which was very good dessert were bit poor.

Tim Overland: James is a star!

Kenneth Ng: Good but not outstanding is the best way to summarise SQ. Not crowded during lunches, the large dining space provides a quiet enough atmosphere for healthy conversation during your meal. The twice cooked pork belly with shitake and soba noodle was good enough but lacked anything to suggest any effort to make it a better tasting meal. The sauce was way too salty, and the pork belly pieces were too few. However, a previous item on the menu, peking duck risotto was delicious.

Marie Andrieu: Very good well stocked platterVery clean ..Recommended 👍Staff a little sad at the end of the day

M P: Visited on 2020.1.5. for my dinner while i am on business trip. Waiters were polite, kind, nice and friendly. Food was also great. Place looks clean. I had to remove one star for serving my main dish on a cold plate.... by the way main was beef steak. But overall I was satisfied.

Matthew Yong-O'Gorman: Hit and miss with dishes. Wouldn't rush back when in Adelaide.

Dyan Higgs: The restaurant is beautiful inside just need a bit more lighting to read menus. The mains were delicious I do recommend the wagyu rump and adobo chicken. The salad was dressed well too. We had the buffalo mozzarella as a starter it said chilli on the menu we couldn’t taste any it needed a little more zing. Overall we had a great time and would visit again

Chen Angel: The food, service and environment are very comfortable. The appetizers are delicious, kingfish yummy. The pasta is very special and has a very chewy texture. In addition, the staple beef is super delicious, and the fried onions go well with it.The tiramisu for dessert was also good but very sweet.Meal time is 6-9:30, very full. For a meal of 7 people, I had the impression that two bottles of white wine were opened, and the cost was about 750 Australian dollars.

Ben Anastassi: My wife and I wanted a date lunch Press* did not disappoint. We had a bottle of French wine which was described perfectly for us by the waiter and we were seated in a very nice spot where we could enjoy our time and chat together. We shared all of our dishes and the staff were so attentive and always cleared the dishes and wiped the table between serves. All flavors were great but the stand out dish was the kangaroo tartare the flavour was unexpected and amazing. Thankyou to the staff that looked after us and I apologise for not getting names to put in this review.

Coreen Taylor: We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It had been a really tough previous 24 hours and our waitress Lulu was exceptional. She made our experience lovely, knowledgeable of the menu too. We loved the fresh oysters, our small plates of tuna and pork skewer, amazing kangaroo tartare and mains barramundi and the abodoe chicken with a side of Brussel sprouts was fresh and tantalising. A quiet celebration to celebrate love and life. Thankyou Press Food and Wine and Lulu!

Mandoo: what do users think?

胡惠珠: This restaurant specializes in signature Korean dumplings, which are actually steamed dumplings, fried or soup. As they always have vermicelli and seaweed fillings, for my taste, they feel too bland and lacking in umami. Bibimbap is just like that, relying on sweet and spicy sauce to enhance the flavor, but the dipping sauce for dumplings is not bad, and there are pickled cucumbers to relieve the greasiness. This may be okay in Australia, but it is not that authentic.

Ryan: Delicious juicy tasty homemade dumplings with quality produce made with care by what looks like the owner/father of the family owned business. Hand made dumpling wrappers and hand made mince filling. The kimchi pork dumplings are delicious we had the pork fried dumplings as well and the dumpling soup. Definitely recommend if you like traditional Korean dumplings cuisine

WCYH: Adelaide is dumpling city but Mandoo is the best 👍. Generously filled with the lightest, most delicious mixture with glass noodles, beautifully chopped veg/egg or pork or chicken. Bibimbap very generously sized, every ingredient in its place. Dumpling dipping sauce with sesame, shallots and chili also great, in a lovely welcoming home atmosphere.

thecookingecon: super good and VERY generous portion size. One bowl could feed 2-3 person. The sauce was given in a bottle so you could add as much as you like.Mandoo

Suda Shanmugaraja: Yummy!! Hidden away on Bank Street in Adelaide, this gem of a restaurant will leave you satisfied and happy if you are a fan of mandu; the dumplings that were a staple of the Korean royal court cuisine.Folding, cooking, dining and billing, all happened in one small room with barely 6 tables. There is often a small queue, and customers stand outside on the kerb to be seated. Our wait was about 10 minutes during lunch rush and we were able to place our order while standing in queue. The service was fast. The menu was straight forward; order your dumplings steamed, fried or cooked in soup. Other than mandu, there is an Udon soup and Bi-bim-bap. Dumplings are served piping hot, along with a spicy sauce and ample pickles. Most dishes include a salad, mash, or glass noodles. These are some of the best mandu I have tasted. The delicate flour skin of the mandu is second to none, the meaty filling is absolutely delicious, and the folds are expertly made by the hands of a master. The people at Mandoo are courteous and well organized. The chef and staff members made us feel special and were very obliging. The dishes are generous in size and offer great value. Each dish is portioned well per person. It will be ideal to visit Mandoo with a couple of companions and share and taste multiple dishes.

They were very attentive and the food was delicious and fresh. Definitely love to come back at Riverside restaurant.

Noel Beard: Great service and pre-dinner cocktails at the bar with live music as a great way to end the week.

Delma Reed: Shiki Restaurant - fabulous experience.

Karin McGuire: We only had pre dinner drinks before going elsewhere for dinner. Also had after dinner cocktails which were delicious. Would look to dine there next time we stay.

Nassim Hemmati: This restaurant has a perfect buffet for breakfast, with a variety of delicious foods

Neha Wali: Have visited this place while I was staying at Intercontinental. The breakfast is included in the package. Their breakfast menu is pretty vast. You can choose one of the main dishes from the menu. The fruits, tarts, yoghurt, crossiant, coffee and juice are included with it.Ordered Intercontinental breakfast which is basically Omelette on sourdough with bacon, sausages, tomato, baked beans and hash brown. It was delish. Loved the quality as well as quantity. Tummy fully satisfied! Also ordered, omelette your way which was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chices, served with hash browns and roasted tomatoes.Their latte and cappuccino was fantastic, loved their coffee blend! Belinda Wellings: Service was attentive and our steak mains were delicious. The brussells sprouts as a side were divine! The restaurant was empty the night we were there so the vibe was unfortunately a bit lacking.BUT we could not fault the staff, including their wine matching recommendation, and so we decided it was a lovely intimate dinner in this beautifully presented space.

Adam S: Servicenwas great - very attentive waiter. The atmosphere is also great - the period and themed decor is really well done. The food - one of the best food experiences I've had. Went with the five course chef's choice with paired wines. All amazing. In particular, the lamb was sensational. Was juat passing through Adelaide, but now i have a reason to return - just for the lamb!

Mark Swan: We started with a drink in the upstairs bar. The maître d’ in charge of the bar was welcoming and friendly. Good selection of wines by the glass.Dinner in the cellar was a knock-out. We opted for the four-course tasting menu, and each course was excellent. Well thought-out flavour combinations and a careful pairing of accompanying wines. Service was on point - our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The price for pre-dinner drinks, plus the tasting menu and wine flight, was much less than we would have anticipated. Excellent value for money.Highly recommended.

Gemma Frances Wellbeing: Beautifully appointed bar. Cosy and interesting decor.Staff were attentive and friendly.I had the tasting menu which had highlights like the kingfish terrine. The cute butter and crusty bread was also a highlight. All other dishes were ok but not ones I would return to in a hurry.

Golden Boy: what do users think?

Me Pips: We’ve been to Golden Boy so many times. Yeah, it’s that good. Tonight we had great table service - thank you Isaiah! And it got me thinking what’s so great about Golden Boy. I mean apart from the spectacular food. It’s the customer service. The wait staff know the menu and are passionate about the dishes, relaying the details with wide eyed enthusiasm. A delight as always.

Sara: My daughter took me to Golden Boy on a Monday at lunchtime. We were celebrating my birthday as well as her own, which both occur in August. We chose to order the tuk tuk menu rather than having a full a la carte. We mentioned what type of tastes we had when it came to Asian fusion/Thai food and let the staff serve us a variety of dishes. The portions were extremely generous and absolutely delicious. The staff waited until we had consumed one dish before bringing on another. We can highly recommend the betel leaf with ocean trout if you enjoy something spicy - such delicate little servings, and the soft shell crab dish was a particular winner. Diners have both spoon and fork as cutlery or can use chopsticks if preferred.Coconut ice cream was an ideal dessert.Chilled wine accompanied our meal. The young man who waited on us was a delight.I cannot speak highly enough of Golden Boy and am at a loss to understand the couple of negative reviews I have read. The positives certainly outweigh that minority anyway.

Ruth Carpenter: Golden Boy was recommended to us, and we're so glad we went there. It was the best meal of our 3 weeks holiday in Australia! The service was excellent. Georgie, who served us, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She gave good advice too.The food itself was to die for. We chose the tasting menu, and it was hard to choose a favourite from all the tasty, interesting dishes. We're planning to come back to Adelaide and will be booking Golden Boy for sure, maybe every night!

Keith Seanard: We have gotten into the habit of doing the chefs choice menus and this was one of the best. The waitress asked about preferences and I had a beef main and everyone else got to share seafood and chicken. Don’t be fooled by the small serving sizes, I left feeling very full. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Since it was my wife’s birthday, they brought her a funny desert. My only complaint was the loud music more suited to a bar than dining.Vegetarian options: My girls were quite happyParking: I suggest you Uber to and from as there is no easy parking

Mitchell Hadjinicolaou: My partner and I had dinner at the restaurant on Saturday night celebrating my birthday. I have been to Golden 4 times and it never disappoints. We were served by Georgia who informed us she had only been working there for a month but her service was exceptional and she said she was really enjoying working there. The food was amazing and a great variety. The 8 courses we shared was more than enough food and we were never waiting too long between dishes. Can’t recommend a better place and we are looking forward to our next time there.

LADAMSPIANO: . They all contain very flavourful food, and we even had left overs which were amazing for lunch the next day.The atmosphere in there was amazing, nice subtle music, and everyone simply delighting in the food they were being served. All the staff were extremely polite and professional! If I could I would give this place a 6/5 stars it was that amazing. Thanks for leaving a lasting impression 😁Dietary restrictions: They can make anything to suit the dietary needs. Very versatile menu with interchangeable ingredients. My girlfriend has celiac so they made sure everything was gluten free!

Don Cunningham: Fantastic range of quality products.

Amanda Kerr: What a truly amazing experience. The food was so well presented and the range of dishes served was incredible. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and really helped to make the experience so memorable.

Anthony Fonovic: Spectacular evening! Food was absolutely delicious and staff were fabulous. Not the most affordable experience had but definitely well worth every cent

Michael Whyment: The food was exceptional, the service some of the best I've experienced and the atmosphere was great. The only issue is that I left still hungry. The portions were off in comparison to the other degustations I've had and we had to swing past Macca's on the way home. For $140 I want to have to undo the top button of my pants because I'm that full. If I could give 4 and a half stars I would because I couldn't fault anything else.Shout out to the beef course - probably one of the best, if not the best thing I've ever eaten. Truly a chef's kiss moment.

Matthew Wragg: Had a fantastic experience. From the phone call to confirm the booking to the last sip of St Hugo, it was sublime.Food was amazing, the wine great and service spectacular. We will be back.

Ten Ton: The chefs here are a combination of both artists and scientists. This is not food served here, but beautiful and perfectly balanced taste stimulants whose flavours both confound and delight in their complexity. The best of which come before the maron, with the exception of the emu which is prepared in a way that patriotically rival the world’s best meats. Thanks to the excellent service, this is an exceptionally sophisticated experience and should be sampled by anyone who has the means. This experience would be best in the summer where twilight would allow visualisation of the garden surrounds and the preference for more sophisticated garden lighting, especially in the winter, is this restaurant’s only criticism. Bravo to the entire team.

Tim Quinney: A very unique experience. As the name suggests Botanics is definitely the theme of this restaurant and it's menu. Which personally I found to be at times challenging.Over the course of a few hours which never felt rushed, a very wide range of dishes were fed to us. There were none that were too difficult to palette but some that were a bit more floral than I perhaps was used to.The larger protein portions were all very tasty but I would say on the smaller end of fine dining tasting experiences.Overall I walked out feeling a little confused. It was certainly interesting but maybe not what I would say is delicious. Well worth the experience however.

AP MD: ADDIT: I have come back to Restaurant Botanic since their new head chef has started and am blown away by this places evolutionEverything that they excelled in before they have somehow taken to the next level. The delicacy and intricacy of each course is only overcome by the passion and complexity of the flavours. Everything this place does - whether it's food, service or environment - they do it to it's maximum potentialRestaurant Botanic has done amazing things for the South Australian food industry and I see no element of them slowing down. This time next year I believe they'll be spoken about on a global scaleIncredible experience and beautiful evolution - a must try for everyoneAdelaide's new restaurant has definitely made its mark. I was beyond blown away by the quality of the food, the devotion of the staff to making every little detail perfect, and the uniqueness of their approach. The food is not only amazing, but the entire experience is a journey. I see big things for this restaurant in the future, they should be very proud of themselves

James Alexandre: If you wish to experience the best Australia has to offer, and what we are all about, you must bring yourself to this restaurant and participate in the momentous journey Chef Jamie and Webster put in front of you. Their culinary artistry will evoke senses unknown to you prior to this experience. Every dish is a testament to their passion and mastery, transforming each bite into an unforgettable memory.

Frankie Lam: Cutting edge technique and creativity in using Australian local produces. Have both looks and favours. Very enjoyable 4 hours, do not think any other restaurant produce anything that can match this.Downside is service at the beginning, seems the bar and kitchen do not commute well and make it feel bit rush.Anyway, this is last week run by Justin James, will see if the new chef can maintain and improve the reputation.

Donna Stevens: First class attention to service for the customer, great welcome and attention through out the night.Highlight was the attendence to the table was from the pattisiere chef, that constructed the desserts. So nice to see someone from the kitchen at this price point.

Robert Scarborough: Mushrooms fudge dust with mushroom powder topped caviar. What who thinks of these things. The brilliant chef that’s. Who. I so glad they did.* A light fluffy mushroom delight with sea taste of delicious caviar. Brilliant way to finish. This was a night to remember a night of some of the best food I’ve ever tasted.I didn’t get to taste some of Botanic’s & Justin’s dishes. Though I did last week at Tasting Australia. What I did taste was the brilliance of Daniel & Tony from Sixpenny. A brilliance I am glad to have seen and eaten. I might just go to Sydney to do it again.WHAT A SENSATIONAL NIGHT.So after I walk for 30 minutes to a favourite bar. Taste 1/2 glass red. Nope body is so full of food I can’t even drink. Go figure. But true

Bob Elliott: Restaurant botanic should be rated as AAAAA. It really is a once in a life time experience. The friendly greeting by Tom and Ruby. Removing our coats and umbrella. The detailed explanation of the experience we were to have was first class. Each dish was beautifully presented with local shrubs, leaves, rocks from the botanic gardens being used to high light wash dish.If Tom or Ruby were not giving a detailed explanation one of the many excellent chefs were out. There were 29 diners on the night and the whole experience took 4 hours.I am already saving the pennies to go again.Well done

J H (justher): . I really want to try that duck but couldnt..If I do come again, I’ll do lunch just to get some time to walk around the garden as well.

Jasmine L: Absolutely delicious food and great service! Super duper recommend the barramundi Yello curry! Something is worth to die for!!!!! The fish is still so crunchy after being in the sauce !!!! Another highlight is the special - scallops!! Coconut and scallops?! Who would have thought !!!!! Wine list also good! We had white and red. Definitely recommend the red! 💕staffs are very nice and friendly!

Rob Gibson: Attentive service and tasty original Thai dishes

Aman Mattoo: This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

yTez Nash: Food is very good and excellent service. Rather cramped and uncomfortable stools at some tables. A little expensive. Had the tasting menu. Very nice s&p squid. Pork belly for me was mostly fat. Overall Very tasty.Parking: Parked in market car park

Shiki Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Kristen S: The setting of this restaurant is fantastic and the service we received from both the waiter and teppanyaki chef were great. Food was good, but not worth the price point in my opinion. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

Allan Smith: After going to a game of footy in Adelaide and watching my team win, there’s nothing like celebrating at a nice restaurant like the Shiki, Adelaide's Award Winning Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant located at the InterContinental Adelaide. This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly Recommended 👏👍😊

Tim Wright: Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, I absolutely love every aspect of itRecommended dishes Prawn Tempura, Three Dipping Sauces, Sashimi Plate …

Parlamento: what do users think?

David Parlavecchio: was overcooked, but you could feel it was a good cut and of good quality. My partner's gnocchi were also good.It is located in the center of Adelaide so it is easy to reach by public transport, but difficult to find parking nearby.Vegetarian options: There are various choices for vegetarian dishes, pasta, salads and various vegetables.

Mark Roman: . The dish is described as being between 400-500g and cooked to my liking. I wish I'd taken a photo now because the meat was definitely on the lower end of the weight scale, and I reckon it'd be hard pressed to even be 400g. In addition it was overcooked, but that wasn't a major drama. Not as tender as it's been in the past, but tasty. Parlamento is always busy, so it's not like they were dealing with an extra large group that strained the kitchen resources, but I was a tad disappointed in the meat dish, especially, given it's now $52 which had a decent increase from the previous visit. I could have bought this same steak from a local pub for $35, so at $52, it should be without question. The lamb loin chops and pasta dished served to my companions were to the usual standard.Wheelchair accessibility: Given the smallish nature of the restaurant, arriving in a wheelchair without advance notice is not advised. In addition, there's not a lot of room between tables.

MK: We dined at Parlamento twice while in Adelaide last May. The first time our experience was so special and delicious we went back the next evening. Food and service were excellent. Rafael and the team made us feel like we were VIPs. Then on the morning we were flying home we were looking for a good coffee and we’re so happy to see Parlamento was open just for a coffee! Again 5-star service and best coffee! Grazie Rafael and team, when next in Adelaide we will be back.

Silvano Porcaro: Visited Adelaide this week after a long absence. I had been to Parlamento on previous visits and was always impressed with the food and service. I went for dinner on Tuesday evening and ordered the spaghetti marinara and a mixed spirit to drink. The order was promptly placed and the drink quickly arrived with a basket containing bread and butter. The butter was at room temperature so easily spreadable.I had some friendly discussion with Ralph, one of the owners of Parlamento whilst waiting for the marinara. It didn't take long for it to arrive and the aroma was simply mouth watering! The dish was spectacular - spaghetti perfectly 'al dente' and an abundance of fresh mixed seafood. A beautiful rose coloued sauce brought it all together. It was really good!If you live in Adelaide or are just visiting, I can definitely recommend Parlamento as a good home style italian restaurant. Thanks Ralph and the team. I look forward to my next visit.

Elvira Rosmini: was next to none. We truly enjoyed dining in your restaurant Ralph; you made a simple catch up amongst friends a memorable and truly enjoyable experience. Never retire mate… we love your food, generosity, humour and above all your authentic Italian cuisine.Cheers,Carmine
