Spice Shot Indian Cuisine - Best Indian Restaurant Adelaide: what do users think?

It's Me_rabh: Amazing delicious food i had ever eat in my lyf.i recommend everyone to visit there there and try their specials.Staff is very familiar

Aju john: Best Indian breads

Dan Phillips: Food tastes incredible, service is prompt, the chef even popped out to ask how we were, did we like everything, lovely bloke. Can't recommend this place enough.

Samrakchan Ghimire: I have been visiting here twice a month since May 2021, the food test really good. I'm a big fan of Korma.

Kim M: I’m always sceptical when someone claims to be the best at a particular cuisine, but Spice Shot exceeded my expectations and we had a very tasty and enjoyable dinner here last night. The garlic naan was probably the best I’ve had in Adelaide. The bread was light, fluffy and cooked to perfection. It was the perfect accompaniment to dip into their delicious curries. We really enjoyed the Alu Baigan Eggplant and Tandoor Chicken Tikka Masala curries. The chicken was beautifully marinated, tender and juicy. We also ordered the Kashmiri Malai Kofta and Beef Korma which were also good, but not as stand out as the former two dishes. The lamb briyani was just okay as the lamb was a little tough. I’d order naan over the briyani for sure. The service was also friendly, quick and attentive. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

Tom Symes: Great service and some of the best naan/paneer/chicken I've ever had at an Indian dining experience. Definitely recommend!

Deepak Santhosh: ❤️

Hannah Nayathottil: . My Indian husband was pleasantly surprised that their dishes are not just Indian for westerners. We've been back a number of times, the staff are lovely, food is amazing and prices are competitive. The discerning husband offered a 5 star review! Cudos Spice Shot, we're new regulars!

Kaz Har (Kaz): Fantastic service, delicate flavours and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

Ed Alekna: Fantastic, great grub, service with a smile pleasant environment except for tuba leaving the door open other wise tasty, employable and I just what I needed good food

Kaz Theresa: Food was beautiful, service was awesome, the staff were very friendly. Recommend a visit. We have found a new regular place to visit.

Wendy Gibbs: My partner and I love this place. Really good flavours and friendly staff. We'll be back. 😊

Barry Lowe: Nice tasting Indian food, friendly service

Tony Materna: Great food and friendly staff. Thanks for a great meal!!

Jaime Skye: Delicious food, adorable wait staff and good prices!

Spicy Sichuan Adelaide by China Chilli: what do users think?

Andrew Ng: Very prompt and courteous service.Above average busy compared to other hotspots restaurant nearby but perfect for 3 of us. Abit too oily but otherwise about as authentic Szechuan cuisine as far as I have experienced in Northern China and Taiwan over decades. But frankly I am not the ultimate judge as I have never been to Shichuan. The stir fried beef strips were sizzling hot and tasty, but a bit sweet. The grilled barramundi was very fresh and spicy as it should be and filled with lotus roots cauliflower broccoli etc which made it very sumptuous. My non-asian friend noticed that he was the only Caucasian there, but I told him there were two or three tables with Indian families too. So they must be good in serving the most spicy tongue numbing Szechuan pepper dishes in town. Lol.Overall a very enjoyable experience. But we had to find an ice-cream shop serving Macha gelato to cool our burning tongues after leaving the restaurant. Will find out if it burns the other end, tomorrow morning.

Jon Limbu: Went there with couple of mate who are from Sichuan, and they told me the foods were authentic. I too think that the food was extremely great and it was really spicy. My personal favourite was the tofu with beef. The flavour was on point. If you are not a big fan of spicy food, there was a dish with eggplant which was extremely sweet. Would have given this place 5 stars, but the serving time was like 15 min interval between each dish.

L Liu: An enjoyable Szechwan food experience. Tasty tofu curd and braised beef with smooth mouthfeel. Piquant eggplant has sweet and sour flavor, which is appetizing to serve with rice. The boiled bok choy in chicken soup is so nutrient and scrumptious. The only suggestion is that the braised fish could be less saulty with less zanthoxylum added. Satisfactory meal, one of the best Szechwan restaurants around Chinatown.

Nicole L: Always the first place to go when it comes to Szechuan food. It’s understandable that the restaurant is not quiet popular among others in Gouger st because the authentic bold flavour is not acceptable to everyone LOL

Boon wee KUAH: 5 days without asian food, decided to opt for chinese comfort food dinner for 8 of us, Henry was fantastic help, wine selection was outstanding, had to restrain from ordering the basket reserve shiraz from rockford. steamed coral trout was great, salted fish fried rice was good, pork ribs fine, all vegetable dishes went well, might order different dishes next time. really enjoy the service from Henry and others.

Rowena Browne: We have a family reunion to celebrate, and my sister suggested her favourite Chinese restaurant in Gouger Street. It was difficult to find a car parking nearby on a Saturday night, so I went to the Market Carpark, which cost me $8 for 4 hours. The lobster dish was amazing ! We picked them fresh from their aquarium. We ordered a variety of vegetarian, chicken, pork, and beef dishes, and they were all delicious! I hope my photos can make you want to visit this place for your next Authentic Chinese Cuisine. They have small toilets and they have Disabled ones too.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes on their Menu.

Anthony Tavelli: Wow, what an amazing experience, service was great. Food was brilliant and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thank you for a beautiful eveningAtmosphere: 5/5 …

Alvin: I came here with friends and the service was excellent. Honestly, the best customer service I’ve had in Adelaide. We ordered the drunken noodles, the pad Thai and a fried rice dish and it was all pretty good. They were either medium or mild spice and I felt the levels would be bearable for most people. The food was flavorful, the wait time wasn’t too long and the atmosphere was good.

Nigel Bateman: It was our wedding lunch ,we chose the feed me menu, great choice, everyone loved it. We had forgotton to tell them about a coconut allergy which they catered for immediately without any fuss.It was a great lunch food and service were excellent. Star of Siam added to our perfect day😊

Rebekah B: Some of the best service I have received and yummy food. The service staff are very friendly attentive. I've never seen such a quick kitchen. I was travelling solo for work and I didn't feel awkward sitting by myself at the table.

MickBoo Dwyer: We came here for a 70th birthday celebration after reading reviews, and it could not have been more perfect. The floor team, the food…everything was so so good. We’ve found our new favourite restaurant. Thank you to all the team working at the restaurant tonight. It was really special. ❤️Kid-friendliness: The kids loved it. Don’t expect nuggs and chips. Adapt and encourage! We went for the chicken skewers for our fussiest 7 year old and he polished off the lot! The teen wanted to work her way through the menu 😁

Krish: . The real star of the show here is the food. It's delicious, and the service is lightning fast.

Roo Rossi: Wow wow wow!! I just ordered Uber and OMG so so delicious. Will definitely be coming into the restaurant.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Tikka and Tea, Vegetarian Samosas …

Chris Clarke: Went here on a groupon deal for my birthday with hubby. Whilst the building was old it was very clean. We were amazed at the quality of the meal. All piping hot, papadams, tikka masala, sauces, two main course curries of choice, naam bread, steamed rice and icecream desert to share. Chilled caraffe of water. Total for everything $35.!! Unbelievably good value and service. Lovely waitress. Highly recommended.Close to North Tce trams to city train station. Thankyou New India for a very special birthday outing.

Sohthirsty: We snagged a Groupon deal for some grub, getting chicken tikka, rita, and papadum to kick things off. The chicken's got that perfect marinade, Rita's a double dose of refreshment, and the papadum? Crispy heaven. For mains, we picked beef masala and chicken curry – both winners with well-balanced flavors. Beef's got that savory kick, while the chicken's got a hint of sweetness from tomatoes. The meat? Super tender. Rice was on point, fragrant, and the plain nan rocked with the curry. Finished it off with homemade mango ice cream – creamy, dreamy, and the crushed pistachio added a nice crunch. Overall, a bang-for-your-buck and oh-so-yummy experience!

MrDaim0: Wholesome, healthy, tasty and authentic food, very helpful staff, good value for money and thoroughly good for travellers.Vegetarian options: Good nutrition

Golden Boy: what do users think?

Me Pips: We’ve been to Golden Boy so many times. Yeah, it’s that good. Tonight we had great table service - thank you Isaiah! And it got me thinking what’s so great about Golden Boy. I mean apart from the spectacular food. It’s the customer service. The wait staff know the menu and are passionate about the dishes, relaying the details with wide eyed enthusiasm. A delight as always.

Sara: My daughter took me to Golden Boy on a Monday at lunchtime. We were celebrating my birthday as well as her own, which both occur in August. We chose to order the tuk tuk menu rather than having a full a la carte. We mentioned what type of tastes we had when it came to Asian fusion/Thai food and let the staff serve us a variety of dishes. The portions were extremely generous and absolutely delicious. The staff waited until we had consumed one dish before bringing on another. We can highly recommend the betel leaf with ocean trout if you enjoy something spicy - such delicate little servings, and the soft shell crab dish was a particular winner. Diners have both spoon and fork as cutlery or can use chopsticks if preferred.Coconut ice cream was an ideal dessert.Chilled wine accompanied our meal. The young man who waited on us was a delight.I cannot speak highly enough of Golden Boy and am at a loss to understand the couple of negative reviews I have read. The positives certainly outweigh that minority anyway.

Ruth Carpenter: Golden Boy was recommended to us, and we're so glad we went there. It was the best meal of our 3 weeks holiday in Australia! The service was excellent. Georgie, who served us, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She gave good advice too.The food itself was to die for. We chose the tasting menu, and it was hard to choose a favourite from all the tasty, interesting dishes. We're planning to come back to Adelaide and will be booking Golden Boy for sure, maybe every night!

Keith Seanard: We have gotten into the habit of doing the chefs choice menus and this was one of the best. The waitress asked about preferences and I had a beef main and everyone else got to share seafood and chicken. Don’t be fooled by the small serving sizes, I left feeling very full. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Since it was my wife’s birthday, they brought her a funny desert. My only complaint was the loud music more suited to a bar than dining.Vegetarian options: My girls were quite happyParking: I suggest you Uber to and from as there is no easy parking

Mitchell Hadjinicolaou: My partner and I had dinner at the restaurant on Saturday night celebrating my birthday. I have been to Golden 4 times and it never disappoints. We were served by Georgia who informed us she had only been working there for a month but her service was exceptional and she said she was really enjoying working there. The food was amazing and a great variety. The 8 courses we shared was more than enough food and we were never waiting too long between dishes. Can’t recommend a better place and we are looking forward to our next time there.

LADAMSPIANO: . They all contain very flavourful food, and we even had left overs which were amazing for lunch the next day.The atmosphere in there was amazing, nice subtle music, and everyone simply delighting in the food they were being served. All the staff were extremely polite and professional! If I could I would give this place a 6/5 stars it was that amazing. Thanks for leaving a lasting impression 😁Dietary restrictions: They can make anything to suit the dietary needs. Very versatile menu with interchangeable ingredients. My girlfriend has celiac so they made sure everything was gluten free!

Jasmine L: Absolutely delicious food and great service! Super duper recommend the barramundi Yello curry! Something is worth to die for!!!!! The fish is still so crunchy after being in the sauce !!!! Another highlight is the special - scallops!! Coconut and scallops?! Who would have thought !!!!! Wine list also good! We had white and red. Definitely recommend the red! 💕staffs are very nice and friendly!

Rob Gibson: Attentive service and tasty original Thai dishes

Aman Mattoo: This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

yTez Nash: Food is very good and excellent service. Rather cramped and uncomfortable stools at some tables. A little expensive. Had the tasting menu. Very nice s&p squid. Pork belly for me was mostly fat. Overall Very tasty.Parking: Parked in market car park

Soi38 Regional Thai Restaurant: what do users think?

Things I Find “Robby Robstar” Interesting: I'm always scared when we order the 'just feed us' menu. The first dish that came out was tiny, but the flavour was huge. The waitor called it the snack. As each meal came out, we had a decent amount of rice or roti to go with it.Each bite was better than the last. Each dish out shining the last. I didn't realise that Thai food tasted and looked this great.Of course, I had to match my food with a Thai beer and I was transported to Thailands most modern 5 star restaurant. The waitor was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was good and kept up with the drinks.By the time we finished our food, we entered a food comma. We tried to walk it off by walking to the cinema, paying for our tickets, and falling asleep. Haha.I highly recommend this place.

Alex Vasek (Alex's Ace's): 🌟 ** Dining Experience at @soi.38 Adelaide ** 🌟If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine or simply in search of a remarkable dining experience in Adelaide, look no further than Soi 38. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were captivated by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends traditional Thai elements with contemporary design, creating a cozy and inviting space that immediately sets the tone for an exceptional meal. Our culinary journey began with a selection of appetizers that were both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. Each bite was tender, juicy, crispy, and bursting with flavour, offering a tantalizing glimpse of the culinary delights that lay ahead. For our main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes that showcased the rich, aromatic flavours of Thai cuisine. Crispy pork belly with vegetables was a highlight, featuring perfectly cooked pork belly and chilli spices with crispy vegetables is a harmonious balance of sweet, sour, and savory notes. Equally impressive was the chicken massaman, a symphony of flavours with tender chicken pieces, vibrant vegetables, and a creamy, coconut-infused sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The dessert was no less impressive. We couldn't resist trying the black Sticky Rice, a classic Thai treat that provided the perfect end to our meal. The sweet, ripe lagoon paired with the creamy coconut sticky rice was a match made in heaven, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and eager to return. What truly set our dining experience apart was the impeccable service. The staff at Soi 38 were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They took the time to explain each dish, offered recommendations, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Whether you're a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or looking to explore new culinary horizons, Soi 38 promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommend! 🍜🍛

Andrew Ng: The rump steak was pretty ordinary, barely above the pub grubs I usually pay less than half for. It was full of sinews and ligaments and dry, but the sauces were much better. So I still give it a 3 stars. The service was above average but the attitude was underwhelming esp when my friend told the staff of his opinion on the goat curry which has the same problem as the rump steak. She didn't respond well to the constructive criticism.I know the hospitality business is going through a rough patch now and I don't want to disparage any outlet into folding up.I will still give Soi 38 another go, afterall I can't rule out that tonight is one of those off occasions for the chef. I will drop by again next week or after.

Ingrid Westthorp: Exquisite food, pleasant surroundings, and attentive staffRecommended dishes Punjabi Lamb Tandoori, Naan, Butter Chicken …

Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Jasmine for dinner which is a lovely little spot, intimate and dimly lit with an impressive atmosphere. Indian as a cuisine generally seems to offer fine dining as a rarity or incredibly casual venues with nowhere in between but this straddles the two as an excellent middle ground. We had samosas which didn’t seem particularly traditional to me and the chicken tikka which was a small serve with a kick to it. Each main comes with an individual plate of rice but naturally we had to order an ingenious blue cheese naan also. I enjoyed the eggplant dish, the lamb korma and the butter chicken. Was it my favourite ever Indian no but it was certainly tasty

Viklesh Pratap: This is my 3rd trip to this marvelous restaurant and would be dis service not write a review to the nice food and atmosphere.Food is excellent so is their service. Food comes very quickly regardless of how busy they are.A must to taste their mouth watering foods if you travelling to Adelaide or you are local.Amrik and Lee will give you excellent service. Will be back soon. Thanks team.

MK: Just had the most delicious Indian dinner. Jasmin is authentic, each dish had awonderful mix of herbs and spices. We love our Indian food and this was the best Indian we have had in our 35 years in Australia. You can tell every dish is based on a much loved family recipe.Service was also impeccable. Thank you and bravo to the Jasmin team!

Gary Niblock: A stunning restaurant with a beautiful ambience. I had the Punjabi lamb tandoori and it was delicious along with the daal and rice. The naan was also perfect. I'd also like to add that the service was excellent and felt very personal despite being a first-time customer from interstate. I'd definitely come back again next time I'm in Adelaide.

Mandoo: what do users think?

胡惠珠: This restaurant specializes in signature Korean dumplings, which are actually steamed dumplings, fried or soup. As they always have vermicelli and seaweed fillings, for my taste, they feel too bland and lacking in umami. Bibimbap is just like that, relying on sweet and spicy sauce to enhance the flavor, but the dipping sauce for dumplings is not bad, and there are pickled cucumbers to relieve the greasiness. This may be okay in Australia, but it is not that authentic.

Ryan: Delicious juicy tasty homemade dumplings with quality produce made with care by what looks like the owner/father of the family owned business. Hand made dumpling wrappers and hand made mince filling. The kimchi pork dumplings are delicious we had the pork fried dumplings as well and the dumpling soup. Definitely recommend if you like traditional Korean dumplings cuisine

WCYH: Adelaide is dumpling city but Mandoo is the best 👍. Generously filled with the lightest, most delicious mixture with glass noodles, beautifully chopped veg/egg or pork or chicken. Bibimbap very generously sized, every ingredient in its place. Dumpling dipping sauce with sesame, shallots and chili also great, in a lovely welcoming home atmosphere.

thecookingecon: super good and VERY generous portion size. One bowl could feed 2-3 person. The sauce was given in a bottle so you could add as much as you like.Mandoo

Suda Shanmugaraja: Yummy!! Hidden away on Bank Street in Adelaide, this gem of a restaurant will leave you satisfied and happy if you are a fan of mandu; the dumplings that were a staple of the Korean royal court cuisine.Folding, cooking, dining and billing, all happened in one small room with barely 6 tables. There is often a small queue, and customers stand outside on the kerb to be seated. Our wait was about 10 minutes during lunch rush and we were able to place our order while standing in queue. The service was fast. The menu was straight forward; order your dumplings steamed, fried or cooked in soup. Other than mandu, there is an Udon soup and Bi-bim-bap. Dumplings are served piping hot, along with a spicy sauce and ample pickles. Most dishes include a salad, mash, or glass noodles. These are some of the best mandu I have tasted. The delicate flour skin of the mandu is second to none, the meaty filling is absolutely delicious, and the folds are expertly made by the hands of a master. The people at Mandoo are courteous and well organized. The chef and staff members made us feel special and were very obliging. The dishes are generous in size and offer great value. Each dish is portioned well per person. It will be ideal to visit Mandoo with a couple of companions and share and taste multiple dishes.

Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Africola for dinner which is probably the coolest restaurant in South Australia and really reminded me of some of the fun eateries in London, turns out the owner is from the UK and has settled in Adelaide, lucky for us he’s brought an immaculately styled venue with a killer atmosphere.Food wise my favourite was the peri peri chicken and the yummy carrot side. The chicken skin sandwich is kind of a signature but I wasn’t a huge fan. If you can book into the open kitchen seating that would be a really cool experience also.

Fionn MacRedmond: I mean sometimes, very rarely, you go somewhere and everything delivers. This was one of those places. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Truly, it was elevated. And interesting...not just boring generic blah blah food other places churn out. This was menu was creative and with intention. We're from Melbourne so sadly won't be back anytime soon, however will be singing the praises for some time to come. Bravo..Brava!

Carolyn Lee: Innovative and flavourful food with superb service and great atmosphere. If you want to try something a bit different in Adelaide, this is the place to go. All the food was incredibly tasty and well thought out with interesting flavours but still using familiar ingredients. The service was SO good here, our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic without ever being pushy. Loved the vibe of the whole restaurant.Would recommend the Peri Peri Chicken, Chicken Liver Pate and Crispy Chicken Tea Sandwich.

Aaron Henderson: My wife and I just rolled back to our Air BnB after an exceptional experience at Africola. The food ,service and the atmosphere was on point. It was a first time trying a fusion of African food and I can happily say we'll be back again.Well done team Africola 👏

Rosey Connolly: Big thank you to the team at africola ..wow wow wow.. amazing service ..amazing culinary delights.. we sat outside ..where warm enough.. but mostly the lovely young lady that served us on the night made the outing even more special..big thank you ❤️ the wine selection we had to choose from..perfect .. loved the B Chardonnay and even got to met the wine maker 😄. We thoroughly enjoyed the even .. 10 out of ten ..❤️💯

Steve Tempest: I really enjoyed my dining experience here, and will be remembered. A lot of new food experiences with each course and all were extremely tasty.I'd definitely recommend this place for people who like to try new things they wouldn't get elsewhere. Everyone left feeling very full which is often hard with a degistation style sitting.

Maria Kl: Food was exceptional and lovely experience.

Mel: Totally lived up to the reviews. Amazing unique and interesting food, that's great value. They only do feed me menus and there was SO MUCH food! They happily put it in takeaway containers for us. Drinks were excellent. The vibe and playlist was spot on. Must go if you're in Adelaide! Remember to book in advance. Also, they aren't open all day, even though it says they are on the website. Only open from 6 pm for dinner.

Chris Braeker: What a revelation this place is! The food was absolutely spectacular and full of surprises. We loved every moment of it. Our group of three was sat at the bar which was great to appreciate Gios handy work. He was the best host and made us feel comfortable. We will certainly be back!
