TWM: Loved the experience after many years and great past memories. I visited for lunch last week and it was truly exceptional. Beautiful menu with a focus on local produce backed by a solid wine list. Service was attentive and unobtrusive. The setting is just perfect especially for lunch with a bright and airy atmosphere. Nicholas Van Der Sluys: I make a habit of dining at Magill Estate Restaurant whenever I am in Adelaide - it really is quite exceptional.That said, and maybe it is a case of too much of a good thing having dined four times in 18 months, the menu, stellar as it is, doesn't change often enough, even with seasonality of produce.Service from the maître d' and sommelier can be frosty, though the English waitress that served our table on two of my four recent visits is outstanding.The wine pairings are rigid and expensive. I find it preferable to order a few glasses plus a bottle of a lovely back vintage than to commit to the pairing.

Allen Tang: My wife and I patron this amazing restaurant last Friday to celebrate our joint birthdays together. The service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted at the door till we left. Even though there was a main waiter assigned to our table, we loved the idea of having the different cooks bringing out our food and explaining the food as they served us. We had their Signature Tasting menu and as I was not a red meat eater, the replacement of the red meat with another was great and I was happy with them. We had a bottle of their GSM wine too. The ambience was great and our table look out to the night skyline of Adelaide. Kudos to the Chinese male server who took care of us through out the night. Will definitely come again to try their rest of their menu.Dietary restrictions: Great substitutions!Parking: Plenty of parking just outside the main restaurant.

will: Lovely staff, except for the tall skinny pale man who sat next me and stared at me while i was eating, on the way out he followed me, i told him to stop and threatened to call the cops. he persisted and continued his journey. he says "i have to pay for what i have done" to this day he haunts my dreams and sleeps under my bed. my Wife says he isn't real. "HE ISNT REAL WILLIAM" she has now left me.

The food and service from the 3 gentlemen looking after us was exceptional. The food was 5 star from entrees to dessert. Could not fault this restaurant. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. My sister booked for about 25 or more people, I was quite impressed with the service especially with Chef Vivien Lee and Chief Annaya they try to get out of there way to make sure we are all satisfied and happy. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

Dyan Higgs: The restaurant is beautiful inside just need a bit more lighting to read menus. The mains were delicious I do recommend the wagyu rump and adobo chicken. The salad was dressed well too. We had the buffalo mozzarella as a starter it said chilli on the menu we couldn’t taste any it needed a little more zing. Overall we had a great time and would visit again

We had a bottle of French wine which was described perfectly for us by the waiter and we were seated in a very nice spot where we could enjoy our time and chat together. We shared all of our dishes and the staff were so attentive and always cleared the dishes and wiped the table between serves. All flavors were great but the stand out dish was the kangaroo tartare the flavour was unexpected and amazing. Thankyou to the staff that looked after us and I apologise for not getting names to put in this review.

Ten Ton: The chefs here are a combination of both artists and scientists. This is not food served here, but beautiful and perfectly balanced taste stimulants whose flavours both confound and delight in their complexity. The best of which come before the maron, with the exception of the emu which is prepared in a way that patriotically rival the world’s best meats. Thanks to the excellent service, this is an exceptionally sophisticated experience and should be sampled by anyone who has the means. This experience would be best in the summer where twilight would allow visualisation of the garden surrounds and the preference for more sophisticated garden lighting, especially in the winter, is this restaurant’s only criticism. Bravo to the entire team.

Which personally I found to be at times challenging.Over the course of a few hours which never felt rushed, a very wide range of dishes were fed to us. There were none that were too difficult to palette but some that were a bit more floral than I perhaps was used to.The larger protein portions were all very tasty but I would say on the smaller end of fine dining tasting experiences.Overall I walked out feeling a little confused. It was certainly interesting but maybe not what I would say is delicious. Well worth the experience however.

Their culinary artistry will evoke senses unknown to you prior to this experience. Every dish is a testament to their passion and mastery, transforming each bite into an unforgettable memory.

Frankie Lam: Cutting edge technique and creativity in using Australian local produces. Have both looks and favours. Very enjoyable 4 hours, do not think any other restaurant produce anything that can match this.Downside is service at the beginning, seems the bar and kitchen do not commute well and make it feel bit rush.Anyway, this is last week run by Justin James, will see if the new chef can maintain and improve the reputation.

Donna Stevens: First class attention to service for the customer, great welcome and attention through out the night.Highlight was the attendence to the table was from the pattisiere chef, that constructed the desserts.So nice to see someone from the kitchen at this price point.

I might just go to Sydney to do it again.WHAT A SENSATIONAL NIGHT.So after I walk for 30 minutes to a favourite bar. Taste 1/2 glass red. Nope body is so full of food I can’t even drink. Go figure. But true

Bob Elliott: Restaurant botanic should be rated as AAAAA. It really is a once in a life time experience.The friendly greeting by Tom and Ruby. Removing our coats and umbrella. The detailed explanation of the experience we were to have was first class.Each dish was beautifully presented with local shrubs, leaves, rocks from the botanic gardens being used to high light wash dish.If Tom or Ruby were not giving a detailed explanation one of the many excellent chefs were out.There were 29 diners on the night and the whole experience took 4 hours.I am already saving the pennies to go again.Well done

Suzie Shimamoto: Food was really good, very tasty and well seasoned. Had the Kilpatrick oysters, tomahawk, smoked duck and the whole Barramundi and a variety of sides. All were very tasty, but the standout was the service. Friendly greeting upon entrance and attentive wait staff throughout our service. The atmosphere was nice, it wasn't too busy but still lively and pleasant. Extensive wine list for those who like wine.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, slightly steep and awkward ramp but not terrible to get into the building. Once inside flat but accessible bathroom is on Level 1?

Fiona Wallace: What a find! I am not an Adelaide local, but I own a French business, so when travelling to new cities I like to enjoy a French meal where possible. I had already eaten dinner unfortunately, so I just popped in for desert and a glass of wine.The manager gave me a warm welcome and seated me at the bar. I had the parfait, which was delicious and a lovely glass of red. I will definitely be back, it’s a lovely peaceful, professional environment, with the smoothness that only a well oiled team can bring seamlessly.Music and lighting were just right for a date night, I look forward to returning for the whole dining experience.

Liza Lam: The food here is delicious. Every dish we tried was flavourful and we enjoyed so much. The only thing that was not to our liking was the bread we ordered from the sides. The bread was too soft and it should be toasted to get the crunchy sides. Overall, it's a cosy restaurant and will definitely come back to try other dishes on their menu.

The peppercorn sauce was to die for, quite a kick not like your usual creamy pepper sauce. Chips were hand cut and crispy 11/10.Greens: big bowl of green beans with roasted capers. Not what I expected however really flavourful and capers added a nice touch.
