David Paul: Sound system was not the best yet I've seen Beats on Parade play at other gigs without sound issues. Maybe replace the cables as whenever the DJ spoke it was this inaudible high pitched shrill. Once the DJ stopped speaking it wasn't too bad despite the system cutting out on one speaker. Once it was stable, it was fine. Don't use an MC if the mics aren't working - trust me, I'm a sound engineer.
Scott Hawken: One of the nicest hotels in Adelaide with a great restaurant and bistro with excellent food and friendly staff.
Hannah Alison: Gabby was immediately welcoming, so polite and friendly to all of us, good humour too. She is good at what she does!Food was delicious and presented really nicely.Tables were set up nicely, and was comfortably warm even though it’s freezing outside.My daughter had had her first taste of chocolate and approved.. Vegetarian options: I had 2 vegetarian appetisers and both were delicious and decent portions. I noticed a few v/gf options on the menuKid-friendliness: I thank Gabby again for how nice she was to my daughter, immediately getting her a high chair and offering plastic cups without me even asking. Cristita Caballero: It was our friends birthday breakfast celebration at Riverside restaurant. My sister booked for about 25 or more people, I was quite impressed with the service especially with Chef Vivien Lee and Chief Annaya they try to get out of there way to make sure we are all satisfied and happy. They were very attentive and the food was delicious and fresh. Definitely love to come back at Riverside restaurant.

Neha Wali: Have visited this place while I was staying at Intercontinental. The breakfast is included in the package. Their breakfast menu is pretty vast. You can choose one of the main dishes from the menu. The fruits, tarts, yoghurt, crossiant, coffee and juice are included with it.Ordered Intercontinental breakfast which is basically Omelette on sourdough with bacon, sausages, tomato, baked beans and hash brown. It was delish. Loved the quality as well as quantity. Tummy fully satisfied!Also ordered, omelette your way which was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chices, served with hash browns and roasted tomatoes.Their latte and cappuccino was fantastic, loved their coffee blend! This place serves quality as the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are flavourful!

Mark Mywords: and had a distinctive smell that I could smell before it came to my table. The taste was initially fishy and over seasoned, and I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision. However, it was delicious and filling. I feel I must describe the smell and taste, and it was basically the smell of an Asian grocer, that odd fermented, spicy, musty, 'museum-ey' smell. It's a gorgeous place, with a nice vibe and the Queen Street Ballroom came up beautifully with cosmic themed decorations.Their food was delicious, not the average finger food selection but still some good options for those with sensitive or less adventurous food needs.The staff were awesome, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Would definitely use this venue again.
Tan Me Baby: I’ve eat here and enjoyed takeaway a few times and figure it’s time for a review.The food each and every time has been delicious. I’ve enjoyed the Green Veggie Laksa many times, the Malaysian Chicken Curry and on my last visit the Sambal Char Kueh Tiaw and the Slow-cooked Lamb Shank and they are now the clear front runners.It was very quiet in the dining room as it was a mid week evening but perhaps some louder background music is a good idea as the two other groups inside were very loud and it took over the whole venue.The team are friendly and have always shown us a lovely time.On the downside, more attention on the cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be prioritised. It wasn’t a great experience.I do also like that their menu items offer a wine pairing suggestion and there are a good range of GF options.
Claire Page: Lovely historic hotel. It has been decorated very nicely inside. We had the whole place to ourselves when we went for lunch on a Sunday around 1.30pm. The service was very good and attentive. We had steaks which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Parking is free in the street right out the front. You have to go down some steps to get to the main bar so it is not fully accessible but they have attempted to at least make the dining area and entrance wheelchair accessible.

Then proceeded to literally throw the atm machine at me...this was after I interrupted her chatting with a colleague, a fill line of customers at the bar, my partner bought a beer..paid..then was told 'your welcome ' even before he had nano second to say thanks, with the implication that thanks was not in his dialogue. Sophie might be better suited further west...say Woolshed.

Deborah Frew: We had an amazing lunch, the mullaway fish and coconut Dahl was one of the best dishes I’ve tasted and I’m hard to please when it comes to taste, presentation and price. This was definitely worth it. The crispy potatoes which we added as a side are a dish on its own and knowing now how good they are I’d just order them with a pint 🍺. The little colouring pack for the child was an amazing addition and the servers were so attentive but not in your face. I don’t eat lamb nor chicken but I do now after tasting the lamb skewers and chicken tenders. The flavours are amazing. Well done chef 🧑🍳 great atmosphere all staff lovely and it’s definitely our go to. The views are pretty good too. 👏🏻

A great selection of wines, gin, etc. The only area of improvement if I was to be picky, was the staff could be a little more attentive, maybe just a little more training needed, but nothing major, they were very friendly and accommodating overall. Everything was very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: A variety of vegetarian options, very nice.Dietary restrictions: Cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian. will: Lovely staff, except for the tall skinny pale man who sat next me and stared at me while i was eating, on the way out he followed me, i told him to stop and threatened to call the cops. he persisted and continued his journey. he says "i have to pay for what i have done" to this day he haunts my dreams and sleeps under my bed. my Wife says he isn't real. "HE ISNT REAL WILLIAM" she has now left me.

Maybe next time the menu will hit the mark, however for me this time it was sadly a miss.
Martin G: last week while staying at Sequoia Lodge at MtLofty House. The degustation at HVR was truly the best degustation we have experienced in recent memory. Not extensive in terms of the number courses, but another great dining experience, not just artfully composed but thoughtfully substantial and paired with a range of local wines chosen by the very knowledgeable and passionate sommelier Abhas, who in his descriptions provided quite a wine class. We had a wonderful evening which we can attribute to a delicious menu and to Abhas and his colleagues who provided friendly, impeccable service and contributed to a great atmosphere. Grateful to Simone, Jenn and Edgardo who were really attentive, and made our night all the more enjoyable.Many thanks.

This review is based on everything we ordered, the tacos were great and the cocktails were delicious. Now the butter chicken was very average, the sauce was okay, the rice was bland but the chicken was cooked perfectly. The prices are steep here but that's a standard when you go to and stay at an expensive hotel.

Kristen S: The setting of this restaurant is fantastic and the service we received from both the waiter and teppanyaki chef were great. Food was good, but not worth the price point in my opinion. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.
Allan Smith: After going to a game of footy in Adelaide and watching my team win, there’s nothing like celebrating at a nice restaurant like the Shiki, Adelaide's Award Winning Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant located at the InterContinental Adelaide. This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly Recommended 👏👍😊

I attended a group function last Saturday night and The hospitality service from the team Alex and Keiran was amazing remembering all our names was so personal. Food was so delicious. Oliver Townsend: Me and my husband Antonio were sittiing peacefully until what we thought was a server came up to us and asked what we wanted my husband ordered a salad and I ordered a pasta, instead of writing down our order rthe little guy opted to tell me what the capital of Peru was he then asked if we wanted to know another fun fact. I said no but he proceeded to tell me what the 79th digit of pi was. Not impressed. Food was good though 5 stars
Jessica Ferris: , the scallops on special and the prawn skewers which were all delicious. But the star of the meal was the lamb shoulder, we haven’t stopped talking about it- best lamb I have ever eaten and paired with the crispy roast potatoes was chefs kiss. Highly recommend. Kara: Best restaurant in Adelaide that I have been to so far. We have been at least 5 times in the last few years it is that good.The entree and desserts are always my favourite as there are so many beautifully executed components on the plate. I think the oysters were the freshest I have ever had.Perfect venue for an anniversary or birthday and lovely set menu so no need to choose your dishes.Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian

Osman Ali: I booked in for a Friday night dinner and I have some dietary restrictions so I emailed ahead of time to see if the set menu could accommodate for me. Not only were they able to accommodate for me but the responses via email were very fast and welcoming.On the night I walk in to a stunning building where it was clear not a detail was spared to create the perfect atmosphere. Throughout the night I caught myself Shazamming most songs that played, each song was better than the next.The food was amazing, I could not fault it. Tim Austin: I went there for dinner for my birthday.It was an excellent time spent and definitely worth the drive to get there.The food and drinks were exceptional and couldn't be faulted.The staff were friendly and helpful.It was as excellent place to watch the sun go down. We had a bit of cloud cover but could still make it out.We had a 4 course meal and was definitely worth it. Everything was delicious.I truly recommend trying this restaurant you won't be disappointed.
