Recently went to Greece & Italy and walked everywhere, so amazing to be able to do this, particularly all those steps in Santorini. Prior to surgery I spent 10 years in a lot of pain and at times unable to walk very far and certainly couldn't walk down stairs. I used to go down stairs sideways as my right knee just didn't move or bend easily. My quality of life is amazing now thanks to Dr Liew. I was absolutely terrified of having my knees replaced but so thankful I found Dr Liew who reassured me and gave me so much confidence, wish I had them replaced sooner than I did. I was in a bad way with my right knee by the time I had it replaced, I couldn't weight bear at all and had already had 2 months off work, extra delays due to covid restrictions were very difficult.I found recovery tough, first 3 weeks were really rough, I don't react well to anaesthetic and pain killers which makes recovery from surgery difficult for me initially. But by 5-6 weeks I was off painkillers with a great range of movement and feeling great and driving, by 3 months 80% there and so happy with my mobility and lack of pain. 2 years later I don't think too much about my knees, certainly no pain, just the occasional twinge to remind me if I sit for too long.I did a lot of prehab and rehab with the GLAD program and would certainly recommend it. It was so important for my recovery to do the exercises the hospital physios recommended, I did them regularly even when I felt very ill and nauseous and wanted to give up. I still keep up a modified GLAD program even now, got to look after my hips.Will be forever thankful I found Dr Liew, he has improved the quality of my life enormously

I had heard many horror stories about shoulder surgery and the recovery period although thanks to Dr Dan this proved to be unfounded.
