Kathy Nygaard: For Mother's Day, my two beautiful daughters & families bought me a High Tea voucher. Their families also bought them one each, so we booked in today for 12noon. My first time visiting. What an amazing, beautiful place to have a High Tea, lunch, dinner or just a get together. Wonderful, well dressed, happy staff. We were taken to a warm pleasant room with an open window area. All rooms have a wood fire, so on this cold day, it was very cosy. Our food was presented beautifully & tasted amazing. The only criticism we had, was the thick coffee cups on a saucer was what we were going to drink our lovely tea from !! What happened to a china cup for tea ? Pots were also made of heavy pottery. For the price, it is good value but big points lost for this type of service. Must change for this high quality restaurant.

Michael Staska: Thank you so much for making mums last lunch a beautiful experience for her. Simone and the team made her experience just beautiful - pretty in pink forever. xxx Leanne and Mike Staska

andrea melville: Just spent the long weekend at Mt Lofty House . It was a special occasion.. a 60 th birthday celebration with a private dinner for 18 people . Everything was spectacular
the location .. the service .. the whole experience was above and beyond !! I really can’t speak highly enough of the high calibre of the staff .I would award 10 stars if it was possible!!!

S G: Simply Magical! We are just back from a magnificent long weekend at Mount Lofty House. Mt Lofty House is a luxury hotel with many welcoming spaces to enjoy. Our rooms were beautiful and included everything you would expect in a luxury hotel. But what made our stay stand out is the 5 star service from the Mt Lofty House team. The staff made us genuinely feel welcome and that they were keen to deliver the long weekend stay we wanted. Our stay started with Shaun from Reservations putting together a package of activities and bookings tailored exactly to what we wanted to do. And then these happened effortlessly over the weekend. Thanks Shaun, it was a delight to work with you to put together our weekend. We loved the hotel history tour run by Chris, make sure you take it when staying. Chris made us feel very welcome anytime we saw him over the weekend. Thanks Chris, we are big fans of the champagne cocktails! Our weekend included some time at the fabulous Gatekeepers Day Spa. Thanks to Claire for an outstanding massage, it was the perfect way to end a day after walking in the Mt Lofty Summit national park nearby. We also want to say a big thank you to the staff in the Piccadilly Panorama breakfast restaurant who are delightful and made sure we enjoyed the delicious breakfast each day and the staff in the Hardy's Bar and Lounge for their warm service and tasty dinner. Staying at Mt Lofty House is a must-do luxury experience with all that the Adelaide Hills has to offer on your door step.

Jeff Baohm: if you are looking for an art deco style that is hard to find this is your go to venueNoteworthy details: art deco is alive and well

Paul Kitching: My wife and I decided to have a night away in our own town and this was perfect - brilliant to be so well located to everything. Easy check in and great service. Lovely room too with the loft set up - loved the high ceilings and no issue having the bed upstairs. Massive comfy bed... Lovely team members at every turn. Drinks at bar not cheap but worth it... then a nice easy stroll to dinner nearby... and loved the late 11am check out + fact we could leave our bag there for the day whilst we spent the day in town... so overall yes this was brilliant and would book again. ta!

Karl Perigo: from every department was faultless.Walkability: The free tram around the CBD is located across the road.

Christine Laverty: I love the vibe of this hotel. It’s stylish with art nouveaux design that oozes comfortable luxury unlike many boring hotels that I find lack personality. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, showers almost too good-I didn't want to get out! Then there's the bath- it's deep and has a waterfall tap, absolute bliss to have a relaxing soak in after a stressful day. Another thing I really love is their vanity. It's actually a decent length, you can happily display all of your various make-up, hair & toiletry items easily. This is incredibly rare and you're often lucky to have enough room for a toothbrush and have to keep moving toilet bags from the floor..we'll, not here😁 Plus the bathroom light has a dimmer and one of those reversible make-up magnifier mirrors. The chaise lounge finishes off the room nicely with the only potential thing I can think of that wasn't perfect was that I walked into the overhanging light a couple of times but really, it wasn't a problem and I loved the light fixture and table set-up.The staff were all lovely and really helpful and the Manager was great to talk to. Even the cleaning staff happily greeted me whenever I saw them.Make sure you try a complimentary chocolate orange shot while you're there. You help yourself and it's just the Reception desk. It's so rich & delicious and again, another lovely extra touch. The cocktails from the bat were also great and although I didn't get the chance to dine in their restaurant-Luna, it has a great local reputation for breakfast as well as lunch/dinner.I loved everything about this hotel.😁Safety: I went online to an Adelaide group and asked about safety walking around at 7am. All feedback was it was safe and I did it every day and felt completely safe.

Toni Alroy: Stayed for three nights to attend a conference. I’m a lover of all things Art Nouveau so found the decor perfect. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, keen to share local knowledge and give advice to a first time Adelaide visitor. I was upgraded to a suite which was very unexpected. Bed was dreamy and bathroom was luxe. Hope I get to visit again. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Helen Schunker: Enjoyed a High Tea Experience with 5 other people today, 10th August, 2024. Would highly recommend this High Tea. Delicious selection of savoury and sweet. Special cocktail mixed for us on arrival. A mocktail available as well. Excellent service by the team member at Luma Restaurant.Food & drinks: 5 star High Tea.

Susanne Carter: I enjoyed my stay here but it would have been nicer if I hadn't had to ask the cleaner at 8am to not yell on the corridors so waking me up, or if there had been more instruction about the silly egg ordering process, or if they remember to update your keycard if you have asked for an extra hours room use. I found the staff and management 'aloof' towards their customers. Professional is good, aloof is not so.

Sienna (Sienna): The beach was very beautiful and it was so close, and it was great to have a bar and a restaurant in the hotel!Food & drinks: So yummy

Sandy Philps: The service here was amazing. The staff very friendly and attentive, a glass of bubbles on arrival, bags removed from car and taken to your room. The buffet breakfast was good and dinner in the Promenade very tasty.we had the arancinii and the lamb shoulder.Bed was very comfortable and the reasonably clean but the chairs in room 602 were very grubby.Apart from that, great place to stay.

Michael Wulff: It's really lovely if you get a sea view room.Staff were friendly and accommodating when I asked for a late checkout. We'll be back.

D G: This is not the first time I stayed in this hotel. Love the spot. It gets a bit outdated, but still good. Was disappointed with service. The guy at the reception refused to match the internet price, so I had to spend time going through booking on the phone. It was 20% different so it was worth it to go through booking process.

Paul Johnson: I can be found here every year. Been enjoying it for a good number of years now.Noteworthy details: Fire place and spa

Melissa Wegener: My husband and I stayed for the weekend and to celebrate my birthday. We knew it was beautiful from the photos but were amazed when we walked through the door! Everything was perfect from the comfy bed, spa bath, breakfast provisions and all the attention to detail. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area. We will definitely be back.

Gerard Reid: Lovely quiet location. Room has been beautifully prepared . Loved the open fire place. We will come backNearby activities: Close to nice restaurants, good pub and wineries

Alicia Escobar: Excellent location, clean and comfortable. Nice size but a bit dated. In response to the owners comment
my husband booked the place under his name. Heiko Roppel. We stayed in the cottage 4/13-4/15. I hope this helps.

Meg Toholke: What a romantic and sensual experience staying at The Studio makes! The breakfast options were incredible, the presentation of the food and rooms were just gorgeous. Beautiful spa and we loved how the spa and shower connect with the bedroom. If I had one thing I'd change it would be a dim light or lamp option as the lights were a little too bright for evening times. But thats it. The bed was super comfy, and the rooms were clean, warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and will be recommending this BnB to all we know!Nearby activities: Lots of lovely winetasting experiences nearby but even being pregnant we found enough to keep us busy during the day!Noteworthy details: Love the connected spa/bathroom with the bedroom.

Monika Grimm: A nice little place with nice restaurants. At Oscars we received great service and ate delicious food. Renting a bike at the tourist center is expensive, but the bikes are well maintained. Then driving the Shiraz Trail and the Coastel Trail along this beautiful landscape is highly recommended when the weather is good.I was very satisfied here for 2 days.

Tom Lindeback: Lovely place to stay as a couple. Close to the wineries and the fireplace was great.

Bob Fyfe: Great place to stay very generous provisions close to wineries and cafes had a great time would highly recommend it

James Jenke: . Comfy bed. Could do with a couples couch. Tasty provisions, well kept and a cute little DVD collection. Not as cute as my spesh lady friend I attended with though. Fun & sexy times were had. Thanks for having us!

Michael Rigby: What is there to say, that hasn’t already been mentioned before in all the 5 start reviews.Mandy and Steven, you should be extremely proud of the level in accomodation you provide. The luxurious feeling you get, as soon as you enter the cottage, it’s the little touches that make you feel like you never want to leave.Thank you Mandy for ease of everything. We will definitely be back but for longer next time

Tate Stuchbery: Stayed in villa lemoni. Beautiful and picturesque location, great amenities, has everything you need!

Jane Hebden: Every amenity was brilliant & lovely local produceDefinitely 5 a star experience⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you

Dani L: This is our second visit to Mandy & Steve’s luxury villas and we wish we could move in! What a slice of heaven. Villa Lemoni is cosy and homely with touches of luxury like underfloor heating, a huge spa bath, the most comfortable king size bed and stunning views of the private gardens - particularly beautiful in autumn! The breakfast provisions are so generous you barely have the need to leave the house. We enjoyed multiple nights curled up in front of the fireplace and days enjoying the garden and peacefulness of the area. If you are after a relaxing and indulgent escape to the hills, look no further. We can’t wait to return here again. Thanks Mandy & Steve! ~ Dani

R: Can't recommend this place enough. We stayed at the Lemoni Villa and it was as beautiful as the photos. The property is very tranquil, the owners were lovely. The house is beautifully decorated and equipped with every comfort you could desire. A two person spa with rain shower head above, a fireplace, nespresso machine, a fridge full of local goodies all surrounded by a beautiful garden and a little lemon farm.

Chelsea Malcolm: My husband and I stayed at The Nest for 2 nights after our wedding last week and we absolutely LOVED it! We arrived very late after our wedding and Steve and Mandy had the heater going and the heated bathroom tiles on for our arrival, which was a lovely touch. They have thought of every single detail here, and we didn’t have to leave for anything. It was the perfect space to relax in. The views of the hills are incredible and there is so much space to relax outside. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous, we couldn’t finish it all over the 2 days!! We wish we got to spend more time there! We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much Steve and Mandy for going above and beyond and making our stay so special 😍

Daniel “Dornel” Origlia: Bruv there was a whole bunker under the kitchen. Sick as man. Locked the kids in it for the night xox.

Gordon Prescott: Buxton Manor has a range of accommodation options, we chose "Paprika". A charming small building built in 1908, featuring two dbl bedrooms, a lounge, dining area, full kitchen, bathroom with 2 person spa bath and free off street car parking close by. Paprika is set within lovely gardens, with outdoor seating and tables. The property oozes with history, speaking of the grandeur of days gone by. North Adelaide is a quiet, leafy and safe area from where to enjoy a stay in South Australia's capital. Booking in, accessing the property, finding nearby restaurants/eateries, all was easy. Highly recommend.

Tony Ab: Very charming and a wonderful glimpse into another era.

Bianca Henrique: My husband and I spent a lovely night at Musica Viva! First impression when we arrived was a house so full of wonderful stories. Bron Gale: We had a lovely stay and the area was quiet. We enjoyed the old style furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable and warm.

aurora b: The classic setting, the elegant heritage vibe, the antique decorations, the beautiful stained glass windows... these are amongst the many qualities of this charming little cottage. Situated at the grounds of the Buxton Manor, the Paprika Cottage was one of the most unique accommodations we've ever had the pleasure to experience. Fully equipped with day-to-day necessities and close to numerous restaurants, cafes, and the CBD- this accommodation is central enough for anyone looking for extra activities to do during their stay. Definitely recommended and hope to stay again next time!

Peter Doody: What a hidden gem! Yes it is small, yes it is not RIGHT in the middle but the price is the key here. I found them on a booking site and went direct getting a lower price and a mini bar bonus. Hard to beat at this price and we were there on the weekend when all on street parking was free/untimed. Will not pay 200 plus a night again in the city.

Tayla Bocos: Absolutely could not recommend this hotel highly enough! We had a mishap with our van and needed to stay last minute. Margaret Bouma: Very happy with our 3 night stay here. The hotel is centrally located and the reception staff were professional and helpful. Our room was larger than expected, plus clean and tidy, with housekeeping done everyday. The room is a little old but this was more than compensated for by cleanliness, location, and service. The restaurant is also well priced and has a great selection on the menu. When booking direct with the hotel, parking was provided free of charge at the nearby Wilson’s car park, which is a short walk away via quaint alleyway with a very European vibe.

Dr Brett Heagren: and house-keeping was done everyday. While the room itself may not have had the most up-to-date features, this was more than compensated for by both cleanliness, location, and service - all of which I feel is far more important. The hotel also has the added bonus of having a great and well priced eating establishment- Maison Clement - on premise.

Tristan Sanchez: and public transport

Clare Bradley: We had a great stay at the Chancellor on Currie, during Adelaide's busiest March festival period. The rooms were older but fabulous because of it IMO -- I just love a hotel room with a bath and a decent armchair! That said, the mattress was a bit on the soft side. The pool, spa and gym facilities were fairly basic but very clean and serviceable. The best part was the fabulous in-house restaurant! I've never stayed in a hotel where I'd be both happy to and be able to afford to eat in every meal. We'll certainly return.Walkability: Centrally located with the increasingly excellent range of restaurants and bars on Currie, Peel and Hindley St laneways a mere stone's throw away.Food & drinks: In-house restaurant Maison Clement was a delight - reasonably priced and excellent quality French food, and friendly, capable staff.
