Tennyson Beach: what do users think?

Mick O: Hauntingly beautiful, ruggedly real a visceral experience had by all

t clarke: My favourite Adelaide beach. The dune regeneration is gorgeous

Carradean Farley: Amazing. And incredible how different it is once you hit Tennyson compared to Semaphore.Nice little ‘secret area’ and would recommend Tennyson is you have a family and just want to chill by a great beach. This share thing in the photos is great is you can snag it.

Ares RS: This wide sandy beach, bordered by dunes and bushes, offers a serene escape. The tranquility is occasionally disrupted by a snake warning near the dune bushes, urging caution. Despite this, it's an ideal spot for a peaceful picnic, with ample space and a calming ambiance. The seclusion makes it perfect for those seeking solitude, though it might be too isolated for some. A leisurely walk along the shore reveals the beauty of the surroundings, and dog owners will appreciate the freedom to stroll with their furry companions. Overall, a picturesque destination with a few considerations for those who prioritize both tranquility and safety.

Angela: Simply a gorgeous little hidden away beach spot away from the hustle and bustle

Gerald Varley: Nice beach, sand dunes.

Hong Nguyen: It was a winter morning, I sat in front of the ocean to catch the wind from the sea blowing on the long stretch of white sand.Tennyson is gentle and loving every time I come. Perhaps, this peaceful space will be suitable for those who want to enjoy quiet moments alone or with loved ones in the vast natural space. Gentle waves remind me of human life, though seemingly long, passing gently. Our future will depend on how we share understanding and spread love...

pei photographer: local beach

Jessica Dias: This beach is wonderful for taking children, as it has no waves and is not deep. Great for people who like calm beaches too, as there are few people. I recommend

Prof. Hayes: A nice south Oz beach secluded peaceful great thing about Adelaide beaches beautiful white sand that goes for miles yet we'll spend thousands of dollars to travel to a tropical paradise that has a postage stamp sized beach aren't we lucky we can afford to do that??? So just a thought let's have lunch at Glenelg or sema 4 or Largs pick one we have a hundred

Lauren T: Best beach in Adelaide

Shilo Gregory: Such a beautiful beach to walk on

Aerwyn: Quiet beach, lots of seaweed around. Love that you can view the shipping boats come and go. I like that it's less busy than other beaches.

Marilyn Osborn: Great place for dogs, kids, and a long walk on the beach. Recent appearance of paddle board hire, and patrol by rescue vehicle has improved amenity. Shallow sandbars create safe places for young children and dogs on leads. Carpark large and easy access to fresh water tap to rinse salt and sand from feet and dogs. Also close to a bar or Cafe and toilets if required. No access for cars, boats and other dangerous vehicles to the shore, giving better safety.

Jarrah Muller: Nice beach. Grittier sand and bigger waves than Largs or Semaphore.

Praba Bala: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Zatniko Satrio Mayangkoro: Absolute gem! Not only is the beach pristine and well-maintained, but it also offers a delightful variety of food options for beachgoers. The ice cream waffles shop around are a must-try – the perfect treat to enjoy while soaking in the sun and sea breeze. The mini train added a touch of recreation and nostalgia, making it a great spot not just for relaxation but also for fun-filled activities. Whether you’re looking for a quiet day by the sea or an afternoon of family fun, Semaphore Beach has something for everyone. I highly recommend a visit!

St Raphael's School, Parkside: Our Cultural Immersion Program continued with a delightful day at two iconic Adelaide beaches at Seacliff and Brighton, where our visiting Chinese students embraced the sun, sand, and sea. The students eagerly collected an array of colorful shells, each one a unique treasure from the ocean. They built intricate sandcastles, showcasing their creativity and teamwork, while the gentle waves provided a soothing backdrop. The day was filled with laughter and joy as they paddled in the warm waters, creating memories that will last a lifetime. This beach experience was not only fun but also a wonderful opportunity for the students to connect with Australia's coastal beauty.

Phil Andrews: Nice 👍 relaxing place, plenty of people 🐠🐟🎣 and a couple of people 🩀, very "very" busy .. parking đŸ…żïž be patient..

Alonelydrinker我獚醉: Beautiful but difficult to park

Ieda S: The jetty offers a fantastic view of the surrounding area, and the cafe at the entrance is beautifully maintained and serves delicious food and drinks.

Hong Nguyen: A gorgeous sunny day walking on the beach couldn't be more beautiful. Henley Beach Jetty looked from afar like a magic wand touching the surface of the mysterious ocean.Roadside parking was quite convenient and the toilets were clean enough.Highly recommended.Update 1:I stepped on the fine sand layers in the fragrant sea breeze. The summer night was magical. The waves sparkled, chasing each other. Occasionally, there were twinkling stars in the sky, as if inviting me to stay longer tonight on the smooth sandy beach.Update 2:The sound of ocean waves hitting the sandy shore in the middle of a winter dawn filled with fog. We stepped on the jetty and felt the breath of the ocean through each wave. We share joys and sadness at every step.I often hear people say sadness is bitter, but to me, it is also a blessing. Sadness makes us stronger and more resilient. Every time someone brings sadness to me, I accept it to grow, with love & gratitude for life.

Emma Faith: Beautifully set up for families and kids to enjoy!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Nirman Kodithuwakku: Nice beach for evening hangouts

Hsien-Hung Lin: Personally, I think this beach is better than the one in Glenelg. It has a more natural feel and is cleaner because there are fewer people.

Phil Phil: A place to be seen in Adelaide full of restaurants and beach seaside facilities. Difficult for parking and become very busy on the weekends. Henley provides a rental & BnB accomodation with Grocery Shopping centre and well know watering hole.

Mel Cassar: Went down to do some metal detecting, cleaned the beach up from a lot of rubbish!

GRAMMY CHRISTIAN: All Adelaide is best. Henley beach best place to visit just for chill out after full day work.
