Scrumpy: I have a few friends who volunteer at the Salvos and one at this particular store and after reading some of these comments below it makes me genuinely feel sick in the guts how pathetic people can be, especially from those that whinge about high prices, they’re most likely dealers or stingy cheapskates who want everything for next to nothing, and then you have the morality police who harp on about “These prices are ridiculous, they’re meant to be helping the people who are struggling”…well here’s some facts for you negative dimwits, Firstly it costs the Salvos money to have and run trucks that collect furniture, Secondly it costs them money to run and maintain their stores, Thirdly if someone is seriously struggling they can apply to obtain a voucher that entitles them to practically any piece of furniture, clothing or any other goods they require at a Salvos store for FREE! and Fourthly the Salvos lose quite a fair chunk of money removing rubbish dumped at their stores from filthy scumbags, unfortunately that money is wasted cleaning up other people’s mess instead of it going towards the needy.

Prices may be more expensive than what they used to be but as is the cost of living/rent. Will be visiting again for sure. I spent over an hour searching through all the different items and found some great things. Wide variety of antiques, love it !

Save money and put more aside bit by bit if you want the higher priced and higher quality item. There was an almost new sunbeam pie maker there which are $90 new for $24, again not expensive. I told a young staff member my feedback on the prices and they said they try to do the right thing by everyone, and keep things consistent. I can only imagine the criticism and backlash they must get by some of those who act like the world owes them something with their false sense of self-importance. I look forward to returning to this store where I had nothing but friendly service and positive attitudes from staff with a great range to browse through.

evelyn m.: huge space!i went there for the books, and they had a decent selection. it was mostly fiction, but did have some travel, childrens, and cookbooks scattered in there.it was a solid layout too, not too cluttered like a majority of other salvos stores.the fiction books were all around $3-$4, which is decent for secondhand.however, a few of the clothes i skimmed over were a bit expensive for an op shop. a basic tank top i recognised as one from kmart, would have been maybe a dollar more expensive new...
