The crab leg wasn’t as great, but the desserts totally made up for it - both the sticky date and chocolate tart were divine! 🍫🍮 Fair prices and excellent service made it a night to remember. Highly recommend! 👌

Jeff Baohm: if you are looking for an art deco style that is hard to find this is your go to venueNoteworthy details: art deco is alive and well

Paul Kitching: My wife and I decided to have a night away in our own town and this was perfect - brilliant to be so well located to everything. Easy check in and great service. Lovely room too with the loft set up - loved the high ceilings and no issue having the bed upstairs. Massive comfy bed... Lovely team members at every turn. Drinks at bar not cheap but worth it... then a nice easy stroll to dinner nearby... and loved the late 11am check out + fact we could leave our bag there for the day whilst we spent the day in town... so overall yes this was brilliant and would book again. ta!

Karl Perigo: from every department was faultless.Walkability: The free tram around the CBD is located across the road.

Christine Laverty: I love the vibe of this hotel. It’s stylish with art nouveaux design that oozes comfortable luxury unlike many boring hotels that I find lack personality. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, showers almost too good-I didn't want to get out! Then there's the bath- it's deep and has a waterfall tap, absolute bliss to have a relaxing soak in after a stressful day. Another thing I really love is their vanity. It's actually a decent length, you can happily display all of your various make-up, hair & toiletry items easily. This is incredibly rare and you're often lucky to have enough room for a toothbrush and have to keep moving toilet bags from the floor..we'll, not here😁 Plus the bathroom light has a dimmer and one of those reversible make-up magnifier mirrors. The chaise lounge finishes off the room nicely with the only potential thing I can think of that wasn't perfect was that I walked into the overhanging light a couple of times but really, it wasn't a problem and I loved the light fixture and table set-up.The staff were all lovely and really helpful and the Manager was great to talk to. Even the cleaning staff happily greeted me whenever I saw them.Make sure you try a complimentary chocolate orange shot while you're there. You help yourself and it's just the Reception desk. It's so rich & delicious and again, another lovely extra touch. The cocktails from the bat were also great and although I didn't get the chance to dine in their restaurant-Luna, it has a great local reputation for breakfast as well as lunch/dinner.I loved everything about this hotel.😁Safety: I went online to an Adelaide group and asked about safety walking around at 7am. All feedback was it was safe and I did it every day and felt completely safe.

Toni Alroy: Stayed for three nights to attend a conference. I’m a lover of all things Art Nouveau so found the decor perfect. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, keen to share local knowledge and give advice to a first time Adelaide visitor. I was upgraded to a suite which was very unexpected. Bed was dreamy and bathroom was luxe. Hope I get to visit again. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Helen Schunker: Enjoyed a High Tea Experience with 5 other people today, 10th August, 2024. Would highly recommend this High Tea. Delicious selection of savoury and sweet. Special cocktail mixed for us on arrival. A mocktail available as well. Excellent service by the team member at Luma Restaurant.Food & drinks: 5 star High Tea.

Ginza Miyako Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Chee T: I recently had an incredible dining experience at Ginza Miyako, a Japanese restaurant that offers an all-you-can-eat menu. Despite the all-you-can-eat format, the quality of the food was outstanding. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail and presented beautifully. From the fresh sashimi and sushi to the deliciously tender grilled meats, every bite was a delight. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our plates promptly cleared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Linda J: Recommend to try the new Japanese buffet😍😍As much as Sashimi and Wagyu beef you can eat, but not only for those. Menu options on menu and no limited but only for $78/pp. Look that big boat🤣 Also they have Wagyu beef hotpot with four soup base you can choose. Food are Fresh and refreshing! Atmosphere is high classic and specially can choose sit at wooden tatami😌

Tamara Wilton: Went to Ginza Miyako for a friend's birthday dinner.Another friend and myself ordered the sushi boat made vegan. It was bought out on two small boats, and everything was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was great as we were able to chat without any loud background noise to compete with.It is more on the expensive side, but definitely worth it if you want a special night out.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options and a small vegan menu.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian options and a small vegan menu. I believe they will do their best to cater to dietary requirementsParking: There are several paid parking lots nearby, no free parking nearby though.

Tom Buck: I went here with my friend earlier today. It was a great experience. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. The waitress was perfect! Everything about this restaurant was so good. I really enjoyed the calm and welcoming atmosphere. The music in the background was very relaxing. Despite being situated on a busy street in Adelaide city, entering this restaurant felt like being transported to a quiet little place in Kyoto. Fantastic experience! Thank you!

sahanmalee peellawattage: The food is excellent for the price, offering a great variety and high quality. The service provided by two Japanese women were amazing—attentive, friendly, and very professional. I will definitely visit again and again. To top it off, they surprised us with a special dessert for my partner's birthday, making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Liisa Grace Baun: We were looking for somewhere to go and eat on our way to a show and came across this lovely Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet, the staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! If we weren't in a hurry we would have also tried a dessert.Next time!

Bruce Henderson: Nice range of menu choices. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.

David Vorst: Great service great location

Sonya Knevitt (Sonya 'n' Shane): Stopped past for coffee with a group of 7. Fantastic service and great coffee.

Pete Reed: Went here on Sunday as most other restaurants were closed. Had the sirloin special which was very good dessert were bit poor.

Tim Overland: James is a star!

Kenneth Ng: Good but not outstanding is the best way to summarise SQ. Not crowded during lunches, the large dining space provides a quiet enough atmosphere for healthy conversation during your meal. The twice cooked pork belly with shitake and soba noodle was good enough but lacked anything to suggest any effort to make it a better tasting meal. The sauce was way too salty, and the pork belly pieces were too few. However, a previous item on the menu, peking duck risotto was delicious.

Marie Andrieu: Very good well stocked platterVery clean ..Recommended 👍Staff a little sad at the end of the day

M P: Visited on 2020.1.5. for my dinner while i am on business trip. Waiters were polite, kind, nice and friendly. Food was also great. Place looks clean. I had to remove one star for serving my main dish on a cold plate.... by the way main was beef steak. But overall I was satisfied.

Allen Tang: Went there last Sunday to celebrate early Father’s Day with my wife and daughter. For starters we had the Fishbank sashimi platter and the mayura station wagyu beef carpaccio and for main my daughter had the crumbed fish and chips, my wife had the grilled whole local fish with miso sauce whilst I had the grilled aquna murray cod.All three mains tasted great and we were quite satisfied with the helping. For desserts, we ordered the yuzu parfait and the sticky date pudding to share. All in it was a satisfying lunch.

justin smit: First time visiting Fishbank and wasn't disappointed,Delicious fresh meals, with excellent service.Looking forward to visiting again soon

Häagen M.K: I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that deserves a 5-star rating. While all the dishes were undoubtedly excellent, as a Japanese person, I feel compelled to highlight the sashimi. It stood out as a testament to their understanding and respect for this delicate art form.Sashimi is not just about slicing raw fish; it requires meticulous attention to detail, and they understand this perfectly. Their use of the “kombu-jime” technique was a delightful surprise, enhancing the flavors and texture of the fish beautifully. Moreover, the waitstaff were incredibly friendly, and their professional knowledge combined with the rhythm of their conversation turned the dining experience into a captivating show. Each dish was presented with care, and the staff's enthusiasm for the cuisine added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. It’s No doubt, Fishbank is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality seafood and exceptional service.

Out tastebuds were having a party!!Freshly shucked oysters! So impressive! The oysters were so so fresh and tasty! Even got to try a jumbo pacific oyster! YUM! 🤤 We thenhad the MY platter to share! The calamari and meat was so tender and tasty and the prawns.. so sweet and delicious! Every bite was delicious!I’m so sad that I live in Melbourne and can’t visit all the time! Thanks Metro Oyster Bar, we enjoyed your service and recommendations!

Katie Lin: are amazing. It was almost like I was in Greek having a real Greek feast/dinner. The staff are so kind and friendly making sure that we have a perfect and great night.Recommended food: Kil Patricks, Yiros, Pita bread with the trio dips, Chips, Christina Specials and one of my top favourites is dill salad! The dill salad is very healthy and delicious, I normally don’t like to eat salad but dill salad hits the spot! For anyone that doesn’t like garden salad, dill salad with to the trick because it has cucumber and chopped up salad into little bits also having a delicious dressing on top!Everyone must come to this restaurant because I’ve been many times before and it’s always my favourite Greek and dinner restaurant to enjoy with my family and friends.METRO OYSTER BAR IS THE BEST! YOU GUYS SHOULD COME AND TRY IT OUT!!

Kevin Head: Was looking for a place for a quick bite to eat and came across the Metro oyster bar,I ordered a dozen Kilpatricks so fresh, the grilled octopus that just melted in my mouth, and the lamb Slovakia with chips and salad the lamb was so juicy and tender, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the waiters were very friendly and helpful,I will definitely be back and bring some mates with me definitely a 10 out of 10 experience,😃😃👍

Kaz Tashiro: I was in the mood for oysters so I visited here! The oysters were a bit salty, but they were large and filling, and the squid and lamb were also quite good. And the wine was delicious.

Dylan Ting: Oysters are so fresh!!Definitely recommend to try the rainbow oysters plate to find your favourite flavour. All flavours taste good and my favourite are natural oyster with basil seasoning and volcano-I can still recall the spicy!!!!!!! Yummm! The service is great, staffs are friendly! It’s in my must visit list if I come back to Adelaide again.PS. The fish and chips is amazing too! It’s just, the oyster has taken all my attention 🤣

Alex J: Loved this little unique oyster bar!Large variety of different flavours, good size and fair price considering places charge alot more for less.Service was great and friendly.

Robert Ardill: One of the better Oyster bars in Adelaide.Freshest oysters and awesome service. Bar is a bit hidden away but aren't most great finds like this now days. These guys have been wholesaling for 40+ years, so your going to have to travel to the farm to find fresher oysters.

Kate Gilroy-Scott: Amazing service, we enjoyed the oysters kilpatrick, salt and pepper calamari both fresh and delicious definitely the best oysters we have had.

Micaiah Birss: I got the Schnit hot it was good, probably almost as good as you can get for a chicken schnitzel. It could have been hotter though especially because it said "very hot" but in reality it was just hot. I almost had a better time reading the menu than I had eating the food though.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian schnit it probably tastes like schnitParking: It's the city it's gonna be hard to get a parkKid-friendliness: They have got a menu for the little schnitters

AnnieMoron: Excellent portions and the different schnitzels are a plus, however the fries tasted weird, like they were there for a long, long time.

Travis Murphy: . It was delicious! 5/5 for the food that landed on the table.Regarding service, the app is tricky at times to order and does not align intuitively with the hard copy menu. Takes some getting used to. My gluten free meal only came out once everyone in our large group had finished. Maybe they forgot, or maybe they were cleaning down the kitchen? Nice people, but service 3/5.The location is great, but was very busy and hard to hear conversation. Acoustics could be improved. We had fun, but you have to be in the mood for a rowdy night

David Paul: Sound system was not the best yet I've seen Beats on Parade play at other gigs without sound issues. Maybe replace the cables as whenever the DJ spoke it was this inaudible high pitched shrill. Once the DJ stopped speaking it wasn't too bad despite the system cutting out on one speaker. Once it was stable, it was fine. Don't use an MC if the mics aren't working - trust me, I'm a sound engineer.
