I attended a group function last Saturday night and The hospitality service from the team Alex and Keiran was amazing remembering all our names was so personal. Food was so delicious. Oliver Townsend: Me and my husband Antonio were sittiing peacefully until what we thought was a server came up to us and asked what we wanted my husband ordered a salad and I ordered a pasta, instead of writing down our order rthe little guy opted to tell me what the capital of Peru was he then asked if we wanted to know another fun fact. I said no but he proceeded to tell me what the 79th digit of pi was. Not impressed. Food was good though 5 stars
Jessica Ferris: , the scallops on special and the prawn skewers which were all delicious. But the star of the meal was the lamb shoulder, we haven’t stopped talking about it- best lamb I have ever eaten and paired with the crispy roast potatoes was chefs kiss. Highly recommend. Foodie Files Melbourne: We visited Africola for dinner which is probably the coolest restaurant in South Australia and really reminded me of some of the fun eateries in London, turns out the owner is from the UK and has settled in Adelaide, lucky for us he’s brought an immaculately styled venue with a killer atmosphere.Food wise my favourite was the peri peri chicken and the yummy carrot side. The chicken skin sandwich is kind of a signature but I wasn’t a huge fan. If you can book into the open kitchen seating that would be a really cool experience also.

And interesting...not just boring generic blah blah food other places churn out. This was menu was creative and with intention. We're from Melbourne so sadly won't be back anytime soon, however will be singing the praises for some time to come. Bravo..Brava!
Carolyn Lee: Innovative and flavourful food with superb service and great atmosphere.If you want to try something a bit different in Adelaide, this is the place to go. All the food was incredibly tasty and well thought out with interesting flavours but still using familiar ingredients. The service was SO good here, our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic without ever being pushy. Loved the vibe of the whole restaurant.Would recommend the Peri Peri Chicken, Chicken Liver Pate and Crispy Chicken Tea Sandwich.

A lot of new food experiences with each course and all were extremely tasty.I'd definitely recommend this place for people who like to try new things they wouldn't get elsewhere. They happily put it in takeaway containers for us. Drinks were excellent. The vibe and playlist was spot on. Must go if you're in Adelaide! Remember to book in advance.Also, they aren't open all day, even though it says they are on the website. Only open from 6 pm for dinner.

Kristen S: The setting of this restaurant is fantastic and the service we received from both the waiter and teppanyaki chef were great. Food was good, but not worth the price point in my opinion. We spent $380 here, being the most expensive teppanyaki we have had, however the food quality was not as good as we have experienced elsewhere. Delicious nonetheless, but you can get better teppanyaki elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.
Allan Smith: After going to a game of footy in Adelaide and watching my team win, there’s nothing like celebrating at a nice restaurant like the Shiki, Adelaide's Award Winning Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant located at the InterContinental Adelaide. This is where you can immerse yourself in authentic Japanese teppanyaki in the heart of Adelaide. Headed by Shiki Chef de Cuisine, Kenny Trinh, where the team have created a delicious menu of truly succulent sushi, sashimi… and the list goes on and on. They are without a doubt, the ‘best of the best’, and proud to showcase South Australian produce. The menu is extensive like the wine list, however I strongly suggest you try the sushi and sashimi selection, prawn tempura, wagyu beef, bok choy and snow peas, vegetable fried rice and miso soup, and for dessert the mango mousse with coconut jelly. All complimented with the traditional Japanese wine, sake. What more can I say - everything was tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything else was cosy and romantic. Very Highly Recommended 👏👍😊

Me Pips: We’ve been to Golden Boy so many times. Yeah, it’s that good. Tonight we had great table service - thank you Isaiah! And it got me thinking what’s so great about Golden Boy. I mean apart from the spectacular food. It’s the customer service. The wait staff know the menu and are passionate about the dishes, relaying the details with wide eyed enthusiasm. A delight as always.
Sara: My daughter took me to Golden Boy on a Monday at lunchtime. We were celebrating my birthday as well as her own, which both occur in August.We chose to order the tuk tuk menu rather than having a full a la carte. We mentioned what type of tastes we had when it came to Asian fusion/Thai food and let the staff serve us a variety of dishes. The portions were extremely generous and absolutely delicious. The staff waited until we had consumed one dish before bringing on another. We can highly recommend the betel leaf with ocean trout if you enjoy something spicy - such delicate little servings, and the soft shell crab dish was a particular winner. Diners have both spoon and fork as cutlery or can use chopsticks if preferred.Coconut ice cream was an ideal dessert.Chilled wine accompanied our meal.The young man who waited on us was a delight.I cannot speak highly enough of Golden Boy and am at a loss to understand the couple of negative reviews I have read. The positives certainly outweigh that minority anyway.

Georgie, who served us, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She gave good advice too.The food itself was to die for. The waitress asked about preferences and I had a beef main and everyone else got to share seafood and chicken. Don’t be fooled by the small serving sizes, I left feeling very full. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Since it was my wife’s birthday, they brought her a funny desert. I have been to Golden 4 times and it never disappoints.We were served by Georgia who informed us she had only been working there for a month but her service was exceptional and she said she was really enjoying working there.The food was amazing and a great variety. The 8 courses we shared was more than enough food and we were never waiting too long between dishes. Can’t recommend a better place and we are looking forward to our next time there.

Service was on point - our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable.The price for pre-dinner drinks, plus the tasting menu and wine flight, was much less than we would have anticipated. Jasmine L: Absolutely delicious food and great service! Super duper recommend the barramundi Yello curry! Something is worth to die for!!!!! The fish is still so crunchy after being in the sauce !!!! Aman Mattoo: This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening.Great place and would definitely go back.

For our mains, we chose The Secrets Trio, and every bite was fantastic. The table of 8 all have the same high praises for their delicious food.I honestly can’t fault this place. The staff was extremely attentive and patient with our table’s orders, even going above and beyond by providing pencils for the kids to draw on the table, which they absolutely loved. Anthony De Dominicis: When I first walked in, I got a pretty strong whiff of Asian cuisine and was seated almost immediately. There were six of us and most of us ordered different items which arrived between 10-20 minutes. Fast! I ordered the shredded pork salad which was fairly pleasant. It had a good mixture of coriander, green apple strips, corn, red onion, and pork. $18 it came to. My friends had various items like the beef/chicken varieties and enjoyed them thoroughly all on average worth $25. Otherwise, the place is pretty neat for where it's positioned and the prices are very average considering the portion sizes. Also, better menu descriptions would be appreciated. Three words cant describe a dish.Revisited 5 years later and had a greater experience. The menu is nicer, more subtle and tastes amazing. Had the beef wagyu and it was so good.

Don't expect fine food, but it hits the brief of being tasty and warms the soul.Yes, the flavours and sauces are rich, and it's filling, just what we often crave. It's also bustling and lively aka noisy. Staff are fun and friendly. You might have to keep an eye out to get their attention, but that's because the place is usually full.Looking forward to revisiting.
