Tracy Hill: Kookaburra were easy to contact and able to address any questions or changes we needed to make. The design service was great and selection process was easy and helpful staff guided us through the process. The finishes were top quality and trades very professional. I have not found a any problems. Our site manager was great and handover was as promised. loved the welcome gift of a weber bbq. would recommend them and use them again if the opportunity arose.
Kingsley Harvey: Having heard of many problems with different builders so I choose KH because I didn't want that stress and am glad I did they were all very good and what I think qualifies this is even the builders coming to do the work said they them selves prefer working for KH.
Sean Matthewson: Overall the build process with Kookaburra went fairly smoothly. As it was we built at one of the most challenging times with material and tradesman shortages so the forecasted time frame blew out. The planning stage was well handled with Dylan and Jake and we were able to design the house we wanted, however we struck some holdups with council which further delayed construction. During the build as mentioned above there were times the house was delayed, however our site manager kept us informed as to progress when he was able. The wait was worth it in the end as the quality of our home is great, there’s nothing we are unhappy with as a finished product. We would recommend Kookaburra to anyone.

ZPH Harrison: We've just received the keys to our 2 storey home on the Fleurieu Peninsula and we are very pleased with the result! Michael and the team were easy to contact and very responsive to our questions. Once started, the build was very quick with nil significant interruptions. There were delays getting started but these were not beyond what is/was generally being seen in the building industry, and we weren't promised anything that couldn't be delivered, which we really appreciated.

phil durbidge: I had a new home built on site and have experience have been an owner builder myself in the past. The whole process was a pleasure, there were delays in obtaining timber as the whole industry suffered the same problems but when construction started it was seamless. One slight problem with grouting but was fixed after a phone call. Contacted them three months after the build requesting a receipt and had it in 15 minutes. Highly recommend Phil D

Chelsey Secker: We recently built our first home with Peter and couldn't be happier with the result.We did a lot of looking around and talking with other builders before we started but they didn't offer exactly what we wanted and seemed to always have hidden costs and clauses involved that they tried to hide. Peter was up front, attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the entire build process.Dealing directly with Peter made the process so much easier than going through a big builder and he was more than happy to answer all of our silly questions along the way!It may not be the cheapest option for building a new house but the end product shows the difference between a cheap build and a quality build.Thank you Peter for our amazing house and we can't wait for our daughter to arrive and spend her first night in our new house too!

Rod Blackborough: Building a house is quite a complex process and completing a build on time, on budget and without having to reach for the valium to bring down the stress levels is rare - SA designer Homes managed to do it and made it look easy. Peter, the principal of SADH, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us some excellent advice over the course of the build and as he was also our site manger we could contact him with any issues which he generally resolved very quickly - every time! Communication is first rate coupled with his own very high standards and good sense of humour certainly made him a pleasure to work with.Overall, a good experience with a great result.

Annie Broecker: Building with AGH was a great experience and I love our new green home. From the first meeting with Rebecca at the display home I felt in good hands. There's so much to consider with passive design, beyond the choice of materials and colours and the layout of the house. The team knew how to take all this, plus my wish list, to create a beautiful, modern home that's tailored to the block. Communication was great throughout the process. I always knew what was happening and when, and I knew who to contact if I had questions. If I ever build another house I'll go with Adelaide Green Homes again.

Nick Hankey: So far so good!Right from the first meeting we've been really happy with the AGH team. They were responsive and open upfront during the scoping phase where we were trying to decide whether to go ahead. After we engaged them we were still able to keep the process going efficiently though the Covid 19 restrictions through phone calls and zoom meetings. When we were able to meet in person again we finished the design process and contract signing off in an assured environment over a pot of coffee or two. They were extremely responsive during the approvals phase, providing constant updates, and now that construction is underway, the communication and responsiveness is great. We're particularly impressed by the build speed and quality so far. To sum up the process, we've always felt like Dan and the team aren't interested in building houses they're not passionate about, and are very focused on quality over quantity.It's also worth mentioning the buildertrend system they use. It's an all-in-one repository of all the information about the build, Timelines, selections, construction notes and photos etc..., designed so that all parties have access to the same information to aid the communication process. This information is all available through the buildertrend app, which is proving extremely helpful.Overall, we would definitely recommend AGH

Monica Cohen: Our experience with Fairmont so far has been very positive. Our sales representative was Luke, he was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient with us throughout the process.Our selections consultant was June. June was so patient and kind, offering advice when needed but respecting our personal choices. Selections is a busy and time-consuming process, but June never rushed us and allowed us the time we needed to make our selections.Daniella, Lisa, and Kay guided us through the more complex than usual council approval process. They were highly responsive to our communications, offering reassurance when we worried about missing our handover deadline. Thankfully, everything was approved in time. As we prepare for construction, we remain optimistic that our future interactions with Fairmont will be as favorable as they have been to date.

Jacqueline Platten: I chose Fairmont for their reputation of quick turnaround in home build times. My show home consultant Les was also amazing!I had my own architect plans which a lot of builders didn’t like, but he was great! He answered all my calls and answered my many questions, or got back to me quickly. 10 of 10 Les. My studio consultant was Catherine, she came up with great ideas and in the end I totally changed my whole colour scheme which I’m really happy about! Waiting process is the hardest tho… however I’ve just had the call for the footings to be laid!!! So far my journey and experience has been good. So far I’m so glad I chose Fairmont Homes.

Asi John: The representative was welcoming and friendly. We were not pressured at any stage. All our questions were answered clearly and to our satisfaction. Communication was excellent and information was sent quickly, as promised. Regarding the design and selections, the representative was very knowledgeable and brought up things we had not considered, saving us money in the long run. All documentation was clearly explained and easy to follow. Fairmont Homes took care of the planning permission and environmental checks etc and we were kept updated regularly with the progression of our application. Phillip T: I have built 4 times before in Adelaide, always with a different builder. This is the second home I've built with Fairmont. The Salesperson was intelligent and was invested in making sure of my needs. Selections was easy due to having a friend with me each time to keep me on track and the Fairmont staff were great. I've communicated with the Build Coordinator a few times by phone and email and always had my queries answered promptly. The house is looking great and I'm happy with the price.

The 2 days of selections were a delight with us given plenty of time and options for everything. We are currently mid-way through our build and have found the construction stage to be very well planned, with minimal "down time" between trades. We look forward to being in our new home soon!

Hamish: Daniel from GJ North East has been fantastic. For the last 6 months Daniel has helped myself and several other home owners who were left in the lurch after our builder and developer went bust. He went above and beyond, going beyond the scope of his contracts with us, out of his own good will. Daniel has a high attention to detail, takes pride in his work and always remedied any issue when brought to his attention. His handyman Robbie is great as well, as are all of his contractors. Very supportive throughout the whole process.
chris jones: designs were shown that fit our budget with preferred design shape that could be best reworked for least cost.3. After my wife decided that she wanted greater living room m2 it was found in a cost effective manner.4. aircon specifically chosen? Done!5. Council giving me grief? Daniel stepped in and resolved it.6. I have an issue finding a solution to something that was not part of the building contract, however the issue stops me progressing to next stage. Daniel gave up his Sunday and fixed it.7. A commercial builder I work with looks over the contract, points out questions I SHOULD have asked before signing. Gave me a series of follow up questions for better clarification.Within an hour I had written confirmation of the answers. With further clarification provided by the relevant suppliers. My commercial builder mate was completely impressed.8. I have safety concerns about burglars breaking into the house through normal size windows, smaller size windows were worked out, despite being a non standard idea.9. I have significant delays caused by everyone else who could possibly cause me issues.Daniel has kept me up to date with impacts and outcomes.Would I build in Salisbury city again? NO!Would I sign with GJGARDINER Holden Hill again? After 3 year later, YES.Second Edit: Daniel still answering my calls,3 year later, some thoughts;1. If going to have no carpet, all hard floors, buy a hard floor cleaner, a broom and mop just doesn’t cut it.2. Go the ceiling fans. We didn’t and a year of middle temperatures are annoying as we have to open windows then close for rain/stinking hot weather rapid changes.3. Get built in cupboards in your WIR. We thought we would save money buying from ikea as needed, yeah NO. Yeah real pain, just get built in cupboards.4. Have Daniel include a workshop in your garage, so worth the money.5. Get the water filter to the kitchen mains. Life changing.6. Definitely lighter colour doors/garage doors. We are so happy with ours.7. Ask about insulation on your garage doors.8. Heat pump HWS, just do it! It took 6 people 3 days to overwhelm ours and run out of hot water- solved by adding 2 hours daily to heating times, then switched back when they left.9. After 3 year and several seasons, mid winter outside, walking around in shorts and T-shirt inside, extreme wind/rain/heat/cold? Meh, only change would be to include garage door insulation.10. Ceramic cooktop. Just do it. My worst disaster of a dinner - 2 minutes of cleaning.Build complete.Handover was 24 December 2021. now it's 4 May 2024.A couple of outstanding issues were resolved when the items arrived in Australia - if it's not in country it can't be installed.We had to spend $3000 on blinds due to unforeseen issues with privacy. Back glass sliding door was more revealing than expected, 2 bedroom windows exposed to eavesdropping from 2 story house nearby
E D: Cannot recommend them enough. The staff are wonderful at all levels and tremendously helpful when it comes to any queries for a bit of a beginner like we were.We didn't feel pressured at any point and felt very well treated even during Covid where difficulties preventing standard methods of working were occuring.
