The instructor Joe led us through different techniques and styles within the abstract school, starting with sketching and moving onto collage work and oil panting. His advice and teachings were invaluable and changed my whole outlook on not just the creation of art but also taught me how to alter my traditional thought patterns and add innovation and problem solving to other aspects of my life. Dieni van Stralen: Everyone always says that they can’t draw or paint to save themselves. Well last Monday night proved them all wrong. I think most people were delighted with their first attempt in years or since school with what they achieved in just 2 and a half hours! This was a delightful evening and made very enjoyable by the expert guidance of our teacher Cynthia! I am looking forward to the next few weeks to hone my skills with my fellow students. Things are definitely better with bubbles!!

Christine Fenech: Popped in today to top up a couple of oil paints, if you want top quality artist materials and the knowledge to use them this is the best art store in South Australia. It’s also definitely the prettiest! Plenty of brands and products you can’t purchase in person anywhere else in the state. Ive never had a problem with my online orders either, but go in in person if you can, you’ll learn something.

Connie O'Brien: Went in to find mica powder. Whilst the lovely man serving wasn't completely sure what I needed, he really went out of the way to assist me. He did find the product I wanted in storage, but didn't have the colour. However this turned into an unexpected bonus because he did show me other colours which gave me a whole different way to do what I needed to. sue wilkinson: Fantastic team event night with Shane. Everyone enjoyed it . Shane is a great instructor and heaps of fun. Our pictures looked far better than I would have thought possible.
Joy McGrath: We have now been to Pluckas 3 times. And each time has been a different experience. But never once has it disappointed. My 8 yr old had the most amazing time and came out with the most amazing painting and so much more confidence. My husband and I did a couples paint class and had such a wonderful time that we now want to do this regularly for a date night. Shane is a great teacher and very encouraging. We will definitely be back for more painting classes in the future!Update: my daughter had her 9th birthday at Plucka's and had such a wonderful time! And now her friends have also chosen the venue for their birthdays.
Gemma: I cant recommend Shane highly enough. We had my hens day here with 28 people. It was such an awesome night. Everyone had a ball. Shane was really easy to deal with and the whole thing ran so smoothly. A lot of the girls were really impressed with how their pictures turned out too, which was an added bonus!
