Blair Crawford: As a now-retired musician, I have very positive memories of Derringers. I picked up a beautiful Gibson ES 335 guitar here many years ago, and a Roland keyboard recently, and could not better the price or the service. Really helpful, experienced staff with helpful attitudes and knowledgeable advice. Good stuff!

David Smith: Great experience, guys were super helpful. For someone who is just starting out, I felt very comfortable.

Will tell you it is a burden to log in. Makes me not want to come back - I use ZIP PAY and always pay it back.

Henry Olonga: Love these guys! Best local supplier of pro audio when I need something pronto. I go online and order elsewhere for really high end stuff but for everyday tools such as microphones, mic clips, mic stands, audio interfaces, synths etc they are very convenient. Mick: Went to Billy Hyde Music to look at acoustic guitars. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by a guy called Cory who then proceeded to show me a couple of guitars. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about guitars explaining the difference between them in sound and construction. I ended up purchasing a guitar. Very happy with my new guitar. Thanks Cory

Stephen Phillips: Staff are great this store. My son and I were visiting Adelaide for a few days and we visited Billy Hydes. One guy- Jackson I think- was extremely generous with his time and recommending guitars for my son to try out. As a young guitarist, it’s so important that he gets to try out a lot of different guitars and see what fits best. It’s nice to see the staff here seem to remember what that time was like and were very generous and supportive. Keep it up guys. 👍

Paul Cuthbertson: Great staff, giving opportunities to try out amazing equipment, high levels of knowledge and experience to make it a special moment in discovering new sounds and replicating classics

T andS: Leaving the review for all because I received great service from Harry in drums though I was inquiring about a ukulele capo, and dealing with the guitar department for the capo, I experienced the same great service accompanied by the same happy willingness to help. Well done fellas! What adds to the great experience was their team work; as a customer I was their priority, therefore the attitude was NOT: "not my department", the attitude was: "I'll bend over backwards to serve". Thanks again! 😊

Ann Parker: Great service in the 'drum' department. Definitely my daughter's favourite new place.

Melissa: Can you imagine working in the coolest place on the planet....yes? Then you are definitely one of the legends at Billy Hyde Music.Had the absolute pleasure of shelling out some clams on dj decks speakers and headphones. I say pleasure because it really was. All the staff were helpful patient knowledgeable and just really cool! Threw in a gift for me just because they are awesome.Even let us smell a brand new guitar fresh out of the case from Japan!Billy Hyde you sure are doing something right besides selling incredible products!

Holden Hill Music: what do users think?

Brendan Addison: After trying to teach myself for about a year and no longer improving and hitting a bit of a wall, I decided to bite the bullet and start having proper lessons. I was a bit skeptical at first but after the first lesson and meeting Doug, I knew I had made the right choice. I started with acoustic and after a couple of years I recently decided to pick up an elctric and give that a go. Despite the “change” in instrument, I thought it would be easy at first as it’s still just a guitar but quickly learned I’d have to learn some new techniques and theory. Doug’s professional yet friendly attitude has meant I have not only improved significantly at playing, but also now understand the theory behind it and how to read it. Whether we’re learning a song, scale or solo, Doug always breaks it down, explains and demonstrates it in a way that makes it both easy to read, understand, and most importantly play it. So if you’re looking for a guitar teacher that is experienced, professional, passionate and friendly, I highly recommend Doug and the team at Holden Hill Music.

Peter: Hi ! I just want to put it out there! If you ever looking for a great guitar teacher ask for Doug in Holden hill music shop. I have been learning how to play guitar with him for over six to eight months . I am over 60 so it’s not that easy to learn a new thing, however Doug is incredibly patient , and goes step by step according to my abilities, . Sometimes I get frustrated at home when practicing on my own, then I go to class with Doug and he makes me more exited about playing music, and thanks to him I just keep going and really enjoy learning. if you looking for someone to teach you guitar and is a great teacher I would recommend Doug who made me love my guitar. Any way I am going back to my guitar😀👍

Rebecca Kolodziej: Holden Hill music store has the most experienced salespeople who give qualified advice without any pressureMy husband has spent a lot of time in this shop as he loves his guitars and everyone is as passionate as he is and match his energy with the love of musicI just surprised my husband by paying off a guitar he had on lay-bys for father’s day and the staff were so excited for him to finally get itHe also has guitar lessons with Doug every week who he admires and cannot wait for each lesson and comes back home passionate to learn more .Amazing shop and stafffully recommend for that personalised service for whatever your music needs are

x gemstaa: was an incredible teacher. He taught me so much in such a short time period and helped me feel confident with my skills. It's not expensive at all and its half an hour lessons, which you can learn a lot in that time. I very highly recommend this place if you are looking to learn something new or to improve your skills!

M J: Excellent service & experience. Always pleasant, professional and knowledgeable staff. Great sized store with a large variety of products available at very reasonable prices. Ken Carson: The very best in service & advice. I go here once a year with my grandson & love his anticipation of our visit

Paul Quinton: Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humour.Vinnie was able to help my son with his first guitar purchase, and even showed him what it can do.Great place with an awesome atmosphere.

Alan Byram: Great selection Of instruments and other gear

Neil Mitra: Great staff. Very helpful people and great collection of guitars, drums, basses, you name it.

Jennifer Kotsiou: Wanted to replace my elderly mothers harmonica. I think he was the owner but he looked after me so well and helped me choose another harmonica with some discount. They know their piano’s, I took the advice, I stayed with the Yamaha, I’m happy.Reg checked, it wouldn’t fit in the car. He delivered it himself, free. He saved me a painful trip back. Always worth stopping by to see what is available and to have a yarn. One of the last 'real' old-school music stores in Adelaide, or even Australia-wide.

Paul Rosenzweig: Maurice has a great store, very informative and tells you just the facts, no BS. I am very happy to support 'the local bloke', and glad that businesses like this are still around.

Alex Kusznir: Shopped there many years ago when I was a Police Officer. Never forget the excellent service and quality of merchandise.

Mr. B: One of the last real music stores.

Ian Pope: Great place. Maurice has an amazing ability to repair old guitars. Lots of quality secondhand stock as well. If you want it done properly go to James Music.....

Tim Wilson: What an awesome shop. Great gear. Excellent knowledge. Nice to get genuine authentic advice these days.

julie O'Neill: Great service, big selection

Salvi's Fine Guitars: what do users think?

magictouch: I bought a Martin SC10e after researching and trying many guitars for months in various instrument stores. Off the shelf this one just felt right for me, it was more playable and comfortable compared to other models and other brands, but I knew it could do with an adjustment to improve it even more.My online research led me to Salvi’s. After Steve worked his magic, my guitar and I are in perfect harmony. He adjusted the neck relief, I am so relieved. Changed the strings and lowered the action, I’m now fluent and no longer a little high strung, and with the intonation adjusted, I don’t feel flat anymore. Seriously he did such a stellar job, this guitar is now at it's optimum setting. It is even easier and lighter to move around on. I just feels and sounds amazing. Thanks Steve, regards Mark.

Anas Safri: and brought it back to its former glory

ROMAN ACDC: Thank you so much for repairing my guitar. It sounds so beautiful now.Best customer service.

Phillip Tziortzis: Steve is friendly and clearly has a passion for his craft. After my first visit, I can confidently say that Salvi's is the only place I will take my guitars from now on. Highly recommend 10/10

William Daniell: Salvi’s never fails to provide the best service and product knowledge. Having been in when in need of set up restringing, repairs orseeking information to purchase a guitar they have been fantastic and very unassuming and giving of advice and direction. A great set of guys that know theirtrade that provide professional and very reliable product and repair workBill Daniell

David Pringle: Amazing. I took my daughter's electric bass in because it was fuzzing away. Steve stopped his job and cheerfuly investigated what might be wrong. He reckoned that the pickups were noisy and cheap - so we ended up agreeing on new pickups to be sent from interstate. The next avo at 3.00 I got a text saying that all was ready. I took the daughter in after school to collect - and she left with a dropping jaw. Amazed at how careful he was about explaining what he'd done and amazed at the lovely shop. A 10/10 experience!

Joe: Salvis did a great job fixing my banjo. Couldn't be happier. Thanks guys

Fidel Monk: .. so many beautiful old guitars for sale, I could definitely go broke & happy in this shop

Dorkus Malorkus: ...Im going to say the best prices in town when it comes to the work, and im willing to bet dollar for doughnuts that the work is going be just as good, if not better!!!

Ed Mitchell: Salvi's have done two jobs for me now - one was a MIM Fender P Bass which Doug set up to perfection with flatwound strings, new pickguard, pickups, pots and jack. The work was performed really neatly with an absolutely perfect setup. The other was a Gibson J45 acoustic guitar setup - this guitar had a pesky mystery vibration/rattle from within the body that Doug went above and beyond to find and eliminate - a lot of additional work involved which was much appreciated. This is now an absolutely amazing guitar thanks to these guys. Highly recommend.

David Daddow: Took my Maton EM225C to have some repairs and new Elixir strings . Feels better than new and price for the work done very affordable. Wouldn’t look to take anywhere else. Extremely happy.

Debra Milne: Steve has done an amazing job with 2 of my banjos, 3rd currently in store.. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly..

oudonbail: I just had a look but very interesting store

Patrick Ellway: Brought in a neglected Steinberger Bass that Doug and Steve were able to bring it back to a wonderful condition and feels great to play. Thanks guys! 👍

Tristan Sowerby: The set up done on my 90's Rickenbacker 4003s is simply sensational.. can't state enough praise for the job done,The passion these guys have for their craft is palpable.. Thanks so so much!!

Michael Raymount: I took my very pretty but with very average playability instrument into Salvi's Fine Guitars and asked for a setup, hoping to improve it somewhat. After an inspection and a few background questions by Steve I left said guitar in their capable hands. Lo and behold, the very next day I got a call to inform me it was ready to pick up and as a result, I excitedly headed back to their premises.I picked it up, thanked all those involved and headed home to fully appreciate the difference that Doug had made to the way my guitar plays and sounds, its just not the same instrument, its that much better. And for the record viewers, you do not need an expensive, high end guitar to benefit from a setup by a quality luthier. So am I happy? Absolutely. Would I recommend Salvi's Fine Guitars to others? You bet. Would I use their services again? Without question, the service and value are something to be experienced and not often found in our fast paced modern world. Thanks again to the staff at Salvi's Fine Guitars.

Byron Hawksmith: Thank you very much Steve, pleasure to meet you mate.Steve did the intonation, action and neck adjustment on my ESP EC 256 in half an hour and it’s playing much better now. Will definitely be back and highly recommend his services.

Brian Freeman: Fantastic experience

Amy Row: This is a great idea for anyone who is non committal or learning and not sure if they'll stick with it. I got an electronic drum kit through Musicorp and it has been invaluable to me during lockdown, I love it. Delivery was impressively quick from SA too.Saving up to buy the kit now but it was comforting to know I could return it if it wasn't for me. Thought the rate was quite reasonable too. Thanks legends đŸ„

Boban Vuckovic: Great place awesome crew big thanks to James with knowledge in guitars, products thank you

Donald MacGregor: I needed a flute to cover my gigs with while my pro gear was getting serviced. I saw a decent looking used open hole Jupiter for not much $$$ on a hire contract from these folks and though it didn't have a silver head or B foot, I thought that the wonderful Altus head I had would fit it and that I'd be fine for the duration of the rental. Upon receiving the flute I was very impressed at the quick service/delivery and how clean the flute looked. I played it daily for a week and then called Musicorp to buy out the rental. I wasn't giving this flute back to them and I'll play it as a back up until the keys fall off. A great buy. If I'd known how good the used gear would be from these folks I would have bought much more from them over the years. Thanks very much, 5 Star seller.

lee perren: I have got a few items from the team and I recommend Musicorp Australia. to anyone “ie”. DJs .small bands .schools .churches . RSLsThat need the gear but don’t have to pay for it up front
