Holden Hill Music: what do users think?

Brendan Addison: After trying to teach myself for about a year and no longer improving and hitting a bit of a wall, I decided to bite the bullet and start having proper lessons. I was a bit skeptical at first but after the first lesson and meeting Doug, I knew I had made the right choice. I started with acoustic and after a couple of years I recently decided to pick up an elctric and give that a go. Despite the “change” in instrument, I thought it would be easy at first as it’s still just a guitar but quickly learned I’d have to learn some new techniques and theory. Doug’s professional yet friendly attitude has meant I have not only improved significantly at playing, but also now understand the theory behind it and how to read it. Whether we’re learning a song, scale or solo, Doug always breaks it down, explains and demonstrates it in a way that makes it both easy to read, understand, and most importantly play it. So if you’re looking for a guitar teacher that is experienced, professional, passionate and friendly, I highly recommend Doug and the team at Holden Hill Music.

Peter: Hi ! I just want to put it out there! If you ever looking for a great guitar teacher ask for Doug in Holden hill music shop. I have been learning how to play guitar with him for over six to eight months . I am over 60 so it’s not that easy to learn a new thing, however Doug is incredibly patient , and goes step by step according to my abilities, . Sometimes I get frustrated at home when practicing on my own, then I go to class with Doug and he makes me more exited about playing music, and thanks to him I just keep going and really enjoy learning. if you looking for someone to teach you guitar and is a great teacher I would recommend Doug who made me love my guitar. Any way I am going back to my guitar😀👍

Rebecca Kolodziej: Holden Hill music store has the most experienced salespeople who give qualified advice without any pressureMy husband has spent a lot of time in this shop as he loves his guitars and everyone is as passionate as he is and match his energy with the love of musicI just surprised my husband by paying off a guitar he had on lay-bys for father’s day and the staff were so excited for him to finally get itHe also has guitar lessons with Doug every week who he admires and cannot wait for each lesson and comes back home passionate to learn more .Amazing shop and stafffully recommend for that personalised service for whatever your music needs are

x gemstaa: was an incredible teacher. He taught me so much in such a short time period and helped me feel confident with my skills. It's not expensive at all and its half an hour lessons, which you can learn a lot in that time. I very highly recommend this place if you are looking to learn something new or to improve your skills!

Ken Carson: The very best in service & advice. I go here once a year with my grandson & love his anticipation of our visit

Paul Quinton: Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humour.Vinnie was able to help my son with his first guitar purchase, and even showed him what it can do.Great place with an awesome atmosphere.

Alan Byram: Great selection Of instruments and other gear

Neil Mitra: Great staff. Very helpful people and great collection of guitars, drums, basses, you name it.

Jennifer Kotsiou: Wanted to replace my elderly mothers harmonica. I think he was the owner but he looked after me so well and helped me choose another harmonica with some discount. Sarah: Fantastic help when calling ahead of coming in store, James was knowledgeable and helped me find a weighted digital piano within budget and which would meet current and short term future needs. James went above and beyond helping get the purchase in my car given I needed to remove a childs car seat. I will return when we are ready to invest in an upright Piano. Thank you.

Robert Godden: Wrote a big review and it vanished. :( Short version is: bought an excellent Yamaha digital piano from the excellent James.

Min Khaung: We had an amazing experience with James at Australian Piano Warehouse! He really knows his stuff when it comes to pianos. James was super patient and took the time to explain everything to us, helping us pick the perfect piano. Can’t recommend him enough!

Tom Anderson: Very nice staff. Prices are very competitive. Shop local and buy local.

Deet's Herz: Amazing selection!

Marie Szychowska: I enquired about Yamaha P-525 digital piano with stand. I asked if they price matched, straightaway the lady looked it up and agreed to interstate price. Do your homework. Took me well over an hour to get there with the trucks and the traffic and the roadworks. South Road.I wasn’t disappointed. While I was there I asked about other keyboards, was shown the difference. They know their piano’s, I took the advice, I stayed with the Yamaha, I’m happy.Reg checked, it wouldn’t fit in the car. He delivered it himself, free. He saved me a painful trip back. If they can help you out they will. THANKYOU Reg and see you next time.

Kyle Richardson: So grateful for this service! Application was super easy and the equipment got here so quick! 10/10 would recommend and will be renting again 🙌🏼

robert west: Top staff and service

Bren Croll: I rented a piece of Universal Audio equipment for ~8 months to ensure it would work with my new PC. The service was convenient with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended

Amy Row: This is a great idea for anyone who is non committal or learning and not sure if they'll stick with it. I got an electronic drum kit through Musicorp and it has been invaluable to me during lockdown, I love it. Delivery was impressively quick from SA too.Saving up to buy the kit now but it was comforting to know I could return it if it wasn't for me. Thought the rate was quite reasonable too. Thanks legends 🥁

Boban Vuckovic: Great place awesome crew big thanks to James with knowledge in guitars, products thank you

Donald MacGregor: I needed a flute to cover my gigs with while my pro gear was getting serviced. I saw a decent looking used open hole Jupiter for not much $$$ on a hire contract from these folks and though it didn't have a silver head or B foot, I thought that the wonderful Altus head I had would fit it and that I'd be fine for the duration of the rental. Upon receiving the flute I was very impressed at the quick service/delivery and how clean the flute looked. I played it daily for a week and then called Musicorp to buy out the rental. I wasn't giving this flute back to them and I'll play it as a back up until the keys fall off. A great buy. If I'd known how good the used gear would be from these folks I would have bought much more from them over the years. Thanks very much, 5 Star seller.

lee perren: I have got a few items from the team and I recommend Musicorp Australia. to anyone “ie”. DJs .small bands .schools .churches . RSLsThat need the gear but don’t have to pay for it up front

Australien: Very easy to use service and well priced, quality rental equipment .Will definitely use this business again.

Mark Gibson: Awesome service and understanding of whats its like being any level of musician, I have used this service now for for years and have been able to get off the "buy gear - realise its not what i really wanted - sell at a loss" cycle!!!!Used these guys through The Bass Centre in Melbourne and couldn't be happier.
