MAPS Film School: what do users think?

Paul Elix: Overall, the MAPS DIPS course has great mentors who provide relevant knowledge and skills required for the industry and workplace. I would highly recommend!Positive Professionalism, Value …

Julia Light: MAPS is an amazing place to learn about filming, especially for those who learn best by doing. All the teachers are a well of knowledge with their own speciality and industry experience.

jack bennett: MAPS is an amazing experience that gives you practical industry knowledge and engagement. The staff are all dedicated, passionate industry professionals that work closely with their students.

Quentin Tarantino: Reema Saad is a very sad lady. Dont know what happened to piss her off but this film school is great and taught me all i needed to know. Shes obviously not that great of a person to be saying all those false things!

Hamish: Great film school. Unlike most universities it offers a hands-on environment where you learn how to make films by doing just that. There are both 1 year and 2 year courses available resulting in either a diploma or advanced diploma in screen media. To anyone wanting pursuit to pursue a career in screen media I cannot recommend it enough.

Riley Scott: Easily the most hands on and practical course in Adelaide. Amazing instructors who are currently working in the industry. 10/10.

Yianni Tragos: Best film education in South Australia hands down. There is no contention. I studied a bachelor of media at the University of Adelaide for three years before attending maps. In the one year of being at MAPS, I learnt soo much more about the industry and gained soooo much experience. I was lucky enough to direct two films which is valuable experience you wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. All the teachers are amazing and it’s very clear that they care about you and want you to succeed. There is a very big focus on getting students out in the field. Hands on and very practical course. If I could go back, I’d skip uni and do the two years at this school. I made connections at MAPS that will last forever. It’s a great network here in SA and if you’re remotely interested in film making, I highly recommend looking into maps.

Lotte Sweeney: I attended both first and second year at MAPS and enjoyed both immensely. The course is perfect for those looking to get hands on experience and guidance for what the industry is really like. It’s honestly incredible how much you can learn in just one year.

Allie Garland: teaching and self directed learning. Our teachers gave us all the tools and knowledge they could for us to succeed. It is evident that they care a lot and are always trying to make the course the best it can be. I will always have positive memories of MAPS and will try and keep in contact with the wonderful educators

Sally Matthews: Great place

Melanie Ross: My daughter and son both have been doing acting classes at SA Casting for a few years now and it has been a great journey seeing my own children learn a lot of life skills, independence, accountability and sense of responsibility. Most of all it has helped them become confident children not just in the class but confidence to face everyday life❤️

e c k o b a s e: After spending nearly 20 years trying to find an Acting school that's not all about taking your money and babying you without any critical feedback, Finally I've found my Dojo where the critical feedback is solid and helps me perfect my craft. In all honesty there isn't a better agent in Adelaide, if you disagree fight me 🤣

sarika jaikumar: This place is making my dream come true. Everyone in the agency including Ann, Emily, Joey are all excellent teachers in Acting. They share their experiences and teach us things that are very valuable and essential in this career. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to start their acting career or even learn new things.

kay koufalakis: Very professionally run workshops with ample one on one help at each location visited. The accommodation and meals are outstanding everything goes like clockwork so all you need to do is relax and learn. Lots of fun highly recommended

Cathy Freestone: I attended the Alluring Adelaide Workshop 19th June 2021. It was a wonderful experience with perfect winter weather. Mark was a fantastic supportive instructor who explained everything in a very easy to understand way. Absolutely loved my workshop & look forward to doing another Photography Course in the Flinders Ranges hopefully next year. I throughly recommend this workshop for the creative photographer wishing to take their passion further 😀

Isabella Mazzeo: This was such a great course! Learned so much in a day! Mark was an excellent instructor 🤩🤩

Peter Tilker: was exceptional. It was well paced, and all aspects of the course were fully explained. On the day, we were accompanied by a great diversity of people and Mark catered to all of our needs. The locations of the shoots was great, some places that I have never been to before. The tips provided by Mark helped to enhance the experience that I personally received. My concept of Landscape Photography has gone to a new level, a level that I didn't think that I could personally achieve. I look forward to applying what I learnt on the day to my future photographs. I will be looking at doing a 3 day course in the near future. Well done Mark. 10/10

Ann Lipari: Just did a photographing course for beginners with Mark Gray on Saturday 6 February it was so much fun I learnt a lot in the few hours we had I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to do a photographing course and looking forward to doing another course next time when you’re in Adelaide thank you again

Sue Brown: I attended a one day Alluring Adelaide workshop with Mark on Sunday 7/2/21.Very ProfessionalThere were some last minute changes due to COVID issues and these were handled very professionally, you can tell when it’s a good business when things do not go to plan but the clients are not affected. The photography. There were baring degrees of photography experience within our group and Mark handled this very well.I have been taking photos for 20 + years so I was looking for some tips from a professional that would help me get to the next level. It was great to be able to ask questions that will help me improve my photography.Highly recommendSue

Kathy verrall: Very informative and easy to understand. Helped me over come some of the errors I was committing and gave me confidence to try again

Greg Lucas: HI,I am wiring to provide feedback on the Alluring Adelaide workshop I participated in with Jason Woolard in May this year.I had a great time from the moment we all met though to the evening shoot. I feel that it was money well spent.Jason was all and more than advertised as a host and instructor. His knowledge of different cameras and ability to recognise varying skill levels within the group was clear. His personal tuition was terrific, with a good balance of instruction and space to apply the techniques. The choice of meal locations and timing was perfect.I feel there was no "low light" of the experience to balance against many highlights, to which, I have re visited 3 of the locations we went to, for further practice, and have dined at the Largs Bay Hotel with my family following our groups visit.I wonder if it may be possible to run groups of a day long with a focus on more advanced techniques for those who have completed this type of training, prior to committing to a 3 or 5 day trip. Thanks Jason and Mark Gray for this experience, knowledge and confidence well taught.Cheers Greg Lucas

TAFE SA: what do users think?

Lemurian Moon Gypsy: Central air-conditioning should be fixed blow's hot when it's hot & cold when it's cold mostly in the drawing room

Brayden C: Studied my Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design back in 2019 i think, Traveled from Murray Bridge everyday, Lecturers were absolutely fantastic during my whole experience and super supportive! but for the new kids today, what they say about degrees in art is disappointingly true... art isn't a secure career, unless your GOOD & to be good, there's a lot of competition to have to weigh in above - brutal truth. Honestly you don't need to blow $10k on a diploma to get a job either, all the certificate does is gets you in the door and shows you know a little "about this and that" then your portfolio gets you the job - you don't really end up that far ahead of the average joe on the street with Photoshop learning from YouTube in the end & there's plenty of impressive freelances on Fiver with more skill then you & me with no schooling... I finished my Diploma and ended up being successful working in Disability!! what a change up! - recently this year in 2023 i completed my first semester at the University of Adelaide studying architecture & have since pulled out as my eye is now on electrical through Tafe in Tonsley! - the course is free at the moment under the government and careers in electrical are basically guaranteed - what im saying out of all this is kids, focus on what is actually IN and HIRING like madness, workout what one your half interested in and make the deal, don't get to caught up on passion, passion doesn't always pay the bills.... its the hard reality & there are more millionaire tradies in Australia then collage degrees... sorry

michael short: Fantastic performance , very different from what I've seen before , realy opened my eyes to something new

Colin Chapman: Well laid out with good signage

Xia: Drippp so hard Im a puddle
