McConnell's Furnishing & Upholstery: what do users think?

Douglas Langrehr: Had a leather cushion repaired for my Chesterfield couch. They did an excellent job and matched the leather perfectly. Great advice on recovering another chesterfield. Thanks again.

Janice Clark: McConnell's did a great job repairing my much loved lounge by replacing damaged fabric on the cushions. A new lease of life , good price, prompt service. Thankyou!

Vanessa Timbrell: McConnell’s Furnishing and Upholstery did a fantastic job re-covering a mid century chair which was of great sentimental value to us. They have a large number of fabrics to choose from and the workmanship was outstanding. We are delighted with the result and highly recommend McConnell’s Furnishing and Upholstery.

Heather Sinclair-Ross: My husband, John and I are both extremely pleased with every aspect of our dealings with John and his staff at McConnell's. We have just had two new cushions made for our cane chairs and John went over and above what we had asked for. The result is that we have two "new" chairs in our lounge that should give us years more wear and are so much more comfortable. The material matches and compliments our lounge and we are really pleased with the result. Thank you again.

Lillian Duncombe: John’s care, artisanal transformative skills and attention to exquisite detail draws out and exceeds the original comfort of the chairs, the patina of the timber, overall beauty and inviting charm of each piece. There is such rewarding enjoyment in the process from the moment we arrived with the worn, very old chairs , discussing the history of the pieces, choosing fabrics with Kerry who imparts great knowledge of suitable fabrics while presenting an array of beautiful colours, motifs and designs, and the uplifting delight when seeing the resultant work of John’s creative skills in the transformed piece of art, comfortably functional and of great beauty.John and Kerry’s upholstery teamwork has provided us both times with revitalised chairs and years of delight in their use and pleasurable artistry in our home

Alison James: McConnell’s Furnishing and Upholstery are master craftsmen, if I am still allowed to use that word! Our MCM chairs have come up like new and we will get another 50 years out of them. Superb quality and service.

Victoria Heale: Great customer service, prompt, great quality and large array of quality fabrics

Annette Howard: McConnell's have helped us revamp a number of sentimental items as well as a good number of roadside finds. Their work always exceeds our expectations and we are grateful for the care and skill that they bring to bear in everything that they do. We especially appreciate the honest advice and design flair. This little gen was a roadside find and with patience and forbearance from the McConnell's team we finally settled on we think is a lovely piece of fabric that does the little princess full justice. We love giving new life to old sad pieces and would never use anyone else.

Me -: . I then decided I'd like to get my kitchen chairs done too. Due to being a much smaller job he was able to get them done within the week and dropped them off at a time that suited me.Couldn't believe the difference! My cheap chairs look beautiful and are now so comfy to sit on.John recently picked up my couch and somehow managed to get it out of my front door. How he did it I don't know.As luck would have it he had it ready within a week and delivered it back to my living room just before the weekend! It now looks like something out of country style magazine and is an absolute dream to lie on. Any job related to upholstery, John is your man.

Michael Harvey: I recently had a TV chair re-apholstered. The craftsmanship was top-notch, transforming my worn-out chair into a stylish and comfortable piece. I Highly recommended McConnell Apholstery for anyone looking to breathe new life into their furniture!

Brett Richardson: Awesome service and fabulous finished product. John, Kerry and team were excellent. We had around 10 outdoor cushions reupholstered, along with one new cushion made.Highly recommended !

Sue Sullivan: We had an 80 year old Bedroom Chair reupholstered by McConnell's and they certainly did an amazing job. I thought adding antique type legs would bring the height up for more comfort but they thought that would change the era and not keep it as it was back then. The finish is incredible and to have kept it as it was - great knowledge by these people - they certainly know their trade.Always very welcoming, and happy to make sure the whole experience was hugely rewarded. Many - many thanks for "Granny's Chair" revamp.

vicky leibie: Fabulous range of high quality fabrics and lots of assistance to choose just the perfect combination for our ottoman and cushions to match the new lounge. Looks great and only took a few weeks. Recommend and will use again for more projects.

Tulips One: We wanted leather seat cushions for our van. McConnell's Furnishing & Upholstery did a beautiful quality job at a competitive price. We’re beyond happy with the results, and they were ready before we expected so we can use them for our fast approaching trip.Friendly, helpful service. We highly recommend McConnell's.

Tate Butterworth: came in with an usual request they did it in 15 mins and did a good job would recommend good service also

Bronwyn Scopacasa: Great workmanship and attention to detail in the reupholstery of a bedhead. There was a large range of fabrics to choose from.

Tom Clark: I had two armchairs reupholstered in leather. John’s workmanship and service was excellent. Very happy with the finished product!

Trudi-Ann Brooks: For the third time, we have used McConnell's to revamp cherished heirloom pieces of furniture. This time we asked for the McConnell's magic to be directed toward a miners couch that my beloved father had made for me in his backyard shed. I can't believe the transformation. Now that this beautiful piece has been given a make over, it is even more comfortable to sit on than it is gorgeous to look at.Our comfortable 3 seater lounge has been given another life in gorgeous rich navy fabric. The rocker chair and two armchairs that match the 3 seater look fantastic in the fabrics chosen. Thanks to John and Kerry for making out tired furniture look better than we've ever known it to look.Previous projects completed by John and Kerry are a box lounge that belonged to my grandmother, and a decorative upholstered chair given a magical makeover in my daughters room that was completed when she was young but still looks great in her adult bedroom.I would highly recommend McConnell's Furnishing and Upholstery to anyone considering giving loved furniture a make over.

Andre B: Done a superb job on our two dining chairs, and finished before the estimated time.Highly recommended

Ian Graue: Took a couch cushion to have a button redone and he completed it on the spot. Well done!
