Booked my partner in for one on one motorcycle training, in one lesson she learnt more than in her 18 months of riding and she is looking forward to having regular lessons, getting ready for her P's and then regular lessons after that. Jeff from RADskills is very professional, well prepared and extremely knowledgeable. I'm an experienced rider in many disciplines, I know what to look for when it comes to motorcycle training and Jeff is the best road instructor I have ever come across. He has coached a fellow racer who has grown leaps and bounds with his coaching. I am extremely happy with how he instructed my partner and look forward to doing business with RADskills again.

Attended the motorcycle maintenance course today. Professionally run and tailored to my every need. Topics outside the course were even covered. Everything from tips on general housekeeping of the bike to even how your tyres can be a good indicator on wether your suspension may need adjustment. Was never assumed I asked a stupid question and took alot away from the course. Highly recommend and well worth the money.

4worldlovers: If you would like to obtain your motorcycle licence, you will need to attend the Rider Safe courses.

Rider Safe is a compulsory motorcycle rider training course for all novice motorcycle riders. It provides tuition for the basic and advanced motorcycle skills necessary for the road. Rider Safe is run by experienced motorcycle riders who have undergone specialised instructor training.

The Rider Safe course also provides the opportunity to determine your riding aptitude before buying a motorcycle.

To get into a Rider Safe basic training course you need a current driver's licence. Don't have one? Then, you must pass a theory test.

The course consists of two half-day sessions and covers classroom and practical sessions. You will learn basic motorcycle operating and manoeuvring skills in a safe, off-road environment.

In Session A you will learn basic motorcycle control skills including riding in a straight line, basic braking, cornering, gear shifting and some bike control theory.

In Session B your learning will build on from session A by interacting with other bikes on the riding range. This session covers more advanced bike control theory and traffic skills. A practical skills assessment will be conducted at the end of session B.

Upon successful completion of the Basic Course, you have 12 months to present the endorsed Approval to Obtain a Learner's Permit form at any Customer Service Centre to obtain a learner's permit. Failure to do so will result in you resitting the Basic course.

The permit is valid for two years and you must carry your permit at all times whilst riding.

It is recommended that you have your learner's permit for a minimum of six months before you attend the advanced training course. The advanced training course consists of one half-day training session, including a practical assessment.
