Our Golden Grove facilities are one of only a few kennels situated in the immediate metropolitan area. We are proud to have onsite staff 24/7 and a qualified and experienced canine behavioural team.

Our cattery offers the largest cat condos in Adelaide so our feline guests can choose to stretch, run, jump and be their kitty selves.


Our dog boarding facilities are second to none. We love and treat your pets as if they were our own. The kennels are maintained to the highest standard, cleaned daily, and offer air conditioning.

Our Cattery is secure, cozy, and peaceful. We understand the majority of cats tend to stress quite easily and it’s important to keep them secluded and private during their stay.

I've boarded my dogs here several times in the last few times and every time is has been great. I never worry about them there, i know they are getting looked after well, i never worry about them forgetting medications. I love that if they go for 5 days they get a complimentary bath and come back so fresh which is so nice after a vacation to come home to. Absolutely recommend

Our 2 kelpie boys Chase & Nixon had their first time at Hedgegrove Pet Retreat this weekend, The boys never have been in a boarding kennel before and the girls there were fantastic with them, They allowed us too see the kennels where the boys were going in and also letting us help them get settled in too. They spoilt them and from what we can see they worn them out completely which for us is Fantastic, The boys have non stop slept since getting home from having too much fun. They also surprised my partner with a great pic of them both with a happy birthday to him from them too, that was a beautiful gesture from Hedgegrove Pet Retreat to do. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We recently used Golden Grove Boarding Kennels and Cattery for our 12 year old dog to have a holiday whilst we were away and I was very happy with the care she received. She is about to have a second staycation there this week and I know I can leave her with confidence she will be well looked after.

I would not take my animals anywhere else! Our girl comes come healthy & happy and the staff are friendly and helpful from bookings, dropping off & collection. 5 STARS!

I was very nervous about needing to board my cat who suffers anxiety whilst boarding. From the time I booked him in I was struck by the professional, organised and extremely clean/hygienic cattery/kennel. It was quiet and peaceful. Staff are absolutely wonderful and take the time to get to know your pet, my cat was not anxious and was in great spirits when I picked him up. Thank you Dylan and Tabitha for taking such great care of Alan. I definitely recommend Golden Grove Boarding Kennels you will not be disappointed.

I cannot thank you enough. It seems Saffy was so content with you and when we got home she she was, and still is, so affectionate and loving towards me. Altogether a healing experence for both of us, epecially for me after my cancer operation.

We were very nervous about leaving our fur baby but staff put us at ease. I rang after a few days to see how he was and was reassured he was fine. Thanks to Dillon we were able to pick Jack up early and get on the road back to Qld. I would definitely leave Jack there again . Thanks to all staff for caring for our fur baby

My 10yr old and 15th Moodle had never stayed in a Boarding Kennels before so I was pretty nervous when we booked them in for 2 nights. When we picked them up they were happy and relaxed. We were very relieved and impressed at how relaxed they both were. Will definitely use Golden Grove Boarding Kennels again.

GGBK&C did a fantastic job caring for my 2 fur babies. Dylan took the time to answer my many questions that I had before booking and no question was too silly for him. The grounds are lovely and Dylan & Tabitha were both so lovely and took the time to get to know my dogs and their needs & wants. My dogs were well cared for and when I picked them up they were happy and clearly well cared for during their stay. 10/10 service and so affordable!

Gabe stayed for 10 Days. He came home as happy as he left us. Thanks to Dylan & Tabitha for looking after our boy. We will definitely use there service again.

Booked my cat Hailey in for a last minute stay due to a work trip. The staff were so understanding and accomidating about the circumstances putting my mind at ease. Will be 100% using them again in the future when I have to next go away for work.

Q. My dog has never been to a kennel, will they be alright?

A. We pride ourselves on having good knowledge of dog psychology, resident vet nurse and manager Tammy also does home consultations for this. Dog’s brains of course work differently to ours, as they live in the moment when you’re out of sight you’re out of mind. This is a good thing! Also being social creatures by nature, once settled they begin to thrive with company and mental/physical exercise. Put simply, they don’t have time to think about anything else than playing with their mates. So go and enjoy your holiday, rest assured your pooch will be doing just that!

A. We are happy to administer your pet’s medication as directed. Our staff, including a qualified veterinary nurse take upmost care to meet your pet’s requirements and needs. We also have ample bribes and treats to assist with this! Please note that due to the sensitivity of the condition and the need to inject insulin, Diabetic animals can be discussed on a case by case basis. Your pet’s health is as important to us as it is to you. 24 hour vet’s assistance is available in the unlikely event your pet is unwell or injured.
