We recently used Golden Grove Boarding Kennels and Cattery for our 12 year old dog to have a holiday whilst we were away and I was very happy with the care she received. She is about to have a second staycation there this week and I know I can leave her with confidence she will be well looked after.

I would not take my animals anywhere else! Our girl comes come healthy & happy and the staff are friendly and helpful from bookings, dropping off & collection. 5 STARS!

I was very nervous about needing to board my cat who suffers anxiety whilst boarding. From the time I booked him in I was struck by the professional, organised and extremely clean/hygienic cattery/kennel. It was quiet and peaceful. Staff are absolutely wonderful and take the time to get to know your pet, my cat was not anxious and was in great spirits when I picked him up. We were very nervous about leaving our fur baby but staff put us at ease. I rang after a few days to see how he was and was reassured he was fine. My 10yr old and 15th Moodle had never stayed in a Boarding Kennels before so I was pretty nervous when we booked them in for 2 nights. When we picked them up they were happy and relaxed. We were very relieved and impressed at how relaxed they both were. Will definitely use Golden Grove Boarding Kennels again.

GGBK&C did a fantastic job caring for my 2 fur babies. Dylan took the time to answer my many questions that I had before booking and no question was too silly for him. The grounds are lovely and Dylan & Tabitha were both so lovely and took the time to get to know my dogs and their needs & wants. My dogs were well cared for and when I picked them up they were happy and clearly well cared for during their stay. 10/10 service and so affordable!

Q. My dog has never been to a kennel, will they be alright?

A. We pride ourselves on having good knowledge of dog psychology, resident vet nurse and manager Tammy also does home consultations for this. Dog’s brains of course work differently to ours, as they live in the moment when you’re out of sight you’re out of mind. This is a good thing! Also being social creatures by nature, once settled they begin to thrive with company and mental/physical exercise. Put simply, they don’t have time to think about anything else than playing with their mates. So go and enjoy your holiday, rest assured your pooch will be doing just that!

A. We are happy to administer your pet’s medication as directed. Our staff, including a qualified veterinary nurse take upmost care to meet your pet’s requirements and needs. We also have ample bribes and treats to assist with this! Please note that due to the sensitivity of the condition and the need to inject insulin, Diabetic animals can be discussed on a case by case basis. Your pet’s health is as important to us as it is to you. 24 hour vet’s assistance is available in the unlikely event your pet is unwell or injured.

Dropped our little guy off here for a 3 night stay - as he's already been doing Doggy Dayschool at Canine Connect he was super comfortable with the staff and happy to be left. I'm told he had a great time, and we got to see photos and short videos of him having fun. Definitely appreciate being able to leave him somewhere, knowing he is safe and looked after while we go away.

Our Deluxe accommodation are fully insulated individual luxury cabins with windows, ceiling fans with their own veranda and grassed exercise yard.

Our main kennel house is double brick with private individual inside sleeping quarters which has an adjoining room looking out over a grassed exercise area. In summer, dual doors are opened to provide fresh air ventilation to flow through the boarding kennel house. This, along with the lower Adelaide Hills temperatures, keeps our guests comfortably cool.

We remind you to bring along your dog’s clean and well-maintained bed/bedding (excluding bean bags which are not permitted) to go on top of our trampoline beds so they have the comfort smells from home, ensuring they snuggle down for a cosy night’s sleep. During winter, why not bring along their PJs? We are happy to pop them on as we tuck them in with their night time treat.

Our special Doggy Day Care service provides your pooch with the ultimate in pet boarding comfort. Fully enclosed grassed areas allows them to run around and play safely in a group environment, offering fun and adventure. If they prefer to have some downtime from the pack, they can be kept on their own. Your dog will be provided with a separate kennel, complete with a comfy trampoline bed.


Designed with a homely feel, the Cattery, provides a familiar territory for cats, with vinyl floors and screen doors, just like at their place. There’s plenty of flow-through fresh air, with additional evaporative cooling during the heat of summer, and cosy warm heat mats to stave off the chill of winter, making for a stress-free pet boarding experience.


The Cattery area is secured adequately, enabling your cat to explore freely and safely during cleaning times. And they even get to explore the playpen on a rotational basis.

At Top Spot Boarding Kennels & Cattery, we strive to make you and your pets’, pet boarding experience, as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. It doesn’t matter if it’s Doggy Day Care, a short stay, or an extended holiday, we like to make your pets time with us as much like home as we can.

All animal/s vaccinations must be current and up to date;

All health and care issues must be made known to kennel staff;

All Veterinary costs, including transfers, deemed necessary by the management must be paid for by animals owner;

A 50%, non refundable, not transferable deposit is required at time of booking or by a nominated time outlined by staff. All remaining boarding fees, as quoted must be paid on dropoff;

Any animal not collected from the kennels will be placed into an animal shelter if considered abandoned;

All animal/s are left at owners own risk, and the kennels will not be held responsible for any health problems, loss or death of an animal.
