Daniel: French toast was lovely. Close to perfect, only micro comment is that if the cream was cold it would add a nice contrast to the warm French toastNo decaf coffee available unfortunately, but they made me a weak one which was quite nice

Brendon H Bennett: Great coffee and food

Richard Phillips: Went here on a drizzly Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The cafe is located in a quiet, secluded alleyway in the East End and is only a short walk from the Botanic Gardens. It has a nice, bright interior and friendly staff. A great find while I was visiting Adelaide 👍.

Elementary Coffee: what do users think?

William Mensforth (The Radio Demon): It was the 21st of June and I was scouring the city for a fabulous mocha to begin my day of study. Low and behold I discovered on Google this quaint little place called Elementary Coffee. The reviews seemed to assure the place was good quality, however I needed to see for myself. So after walking through the alleyway's of Adelaide, I spotted the sign of my destination. Walking in, it was a little busy, but that meant it was popular. After ordering my coffee from the nice staff, I waited for around one minute before my name was called and my coffee presented. After stepping out of the cafe I took a few steps, took a sip, and fell into a world of wonder. The coffee was unlike any I had ever tasted, creamy beyond belief and beans roasted to perfection. The mocha warranted an even caramel quality to it. It was unfortunate I didn't order a large because it was amazing, however, I will be back for more. It is as Sherlock Holmes says, "Elementary, my dear Watson."

Huy Tran Van: I got 5 star service & good coffee from Elementary team. Actually, i forgot my headphone in Adelaide trip, i flew back to Melbourne at the same day. Luckily, Elementary team found my headphone and sent it back to Melbourne for me with a high quality coffee beans bag to enjoy. With a great service like this, now i understood why Elementary always have many customers. All my best wish for Elementary team, you did well service & coffee quality.

Jess Fairlie: Great coffee spot and atmosphere. Tucked out the way

エルちゃん(茶々丸): The coffee here is delicious. If you like coffee, you should definitely go.The store staff are kind and polite, so ◎It's not too noisy in the store, so it's a comfortable place to spend time.

Kathy Russell: Great coffee and friendly staff. Worth its google rating for those of you passing through Adelaide looking for a great coffee.Service: 5/5 …

L Hui: Service: 5/5

Tim Schroeder: 5 stars for the coffee experience today; coffee was so delicious it was gone before I knew it!Has been about 5 years since I last visited this venue, mostly because I find it hazardous to ride in the city. For anyone walking through Leigh Street though, this is a worthwhile caffeine fix.

G Mac: but his froth art. The coffee is on the expensive side, but worth it for those who love their brew. A stand out.

Amber Lauren: Lovely staff, who are friendly and caring!Coffee is super yum which is a bonus, bitter but not too bitter - with a smooth taste.

Michael Nardone: CBTB is a little out my way, but I still make the trek out just because the coffee is so good.

Trish Tassie: . The display cabinets were clean fresh & the food looked delicious. It was very busy with people coming in & out and lots sitting having coffee. Even tables had been reserved but we found a spot & waited for our drinks. We noticed immediately that the place was not about the coffee but an experience. The music was upbeat & perfect, not too loud but enough to either sit back & enjoy your own thoughts or have a conversation. The atmosphere was outstanding. When our drinks arrived they were the perfect temperature to drink - hot but not too hot. They were also served in cups that were environmentally friendly. This was an experience I will not forget as even the menu that we found on our table said - Considerations. What a lovely way to ask if you want more.It was great to see the owner Vincent

Tim Schroeder: and enjoyed it immensely. I'll be back to try my standard flat white very soon.

Helen Henry: Amazing coffee and cakes. They said they didn't do milkshakes, I had asked for strawberry milkshakes , but they said they could do iced chocolate. I agreed but the beautiful gentleman came to our table with 2 strawberry milkshakes and checked that they tasted okay before he left. Cakes were to die for. Thank you so much for looking after us

Ji-hoon Chung: The coffee tasted good. It's near the entrance to the office, so the space feels a bit empty, but the high ceiling gives it an open feel.

doranski doran: Great coffee

Ben San: So in love with this cafe. The coffee is always amazing with the skillfully steamed milk and a nice balance of foam on the top. Love the delicious sandwich 🥪. However most importantly, it is the awesome playlist of the music selection that really hits me and I can sit there for hours to enjoy the atmosphere, the music and the coffee. Can't wait to visit again ❤️

ritesh singde (Swords&Feathers): Really good coffee

Michael G: of the L&L toasties, particularly the ham cheese mustard pickle and the truffled mushroom. Coffee and vibes were good at L&L too. I’m now here visiting and thankfully the toasties are still there - great. But at what cost? Almost double the cost! $15.50, insane! Admittedly I also received some chips, but really, I didn’t realise that the cost of bread cheese ham etc had doubled. Anyway. If google had the option to rate value it would be one star. Pretty bad on this front guys. But the reality is that the staff were nice, coffee was good, toastie still tasty. Just the price of it. Man. Anyway, great place but please drop the price of your toasties - cheers.

Tay Burns: Great Coffee, Great Food, Great staff and all around just a great vibe. Will be back again Monday for my daily brew. Thanks Guys!

Daniel: Overall was okay. The pancakes were good, though not particularly standout amazing. Appreciated the berry ice cream as something a bit different though.Pretty noisy inside despite there not being a lot of people there, and service seemed a little distracted but might have just been a bad day.

Andrea Castaño Gómez: We visited with a group of 12 last week and had an incredible experience! The service and the food were simply amazing. Our orders were delivered promptly, and the brunch was delicious. The staff went above and beyond, offering excellent recommendations and even taking the time to snap a group photo for us. Their friendly and attentive service made our visit truly special. I can't wait to go back and enjoy another fantastic brunch!

Alan Gore: Dropped in for a coffee & toast after a morning ride. Despite the chilly morning, we sat outside and enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the very tasty coffee & toast.Coffee was beautifully made, excellent strength & temperature.Definitely adding this cafe to our "good coffee" list!

Erica Bouwman: Beautiful place on the river. Beautiful views both on the terrace and inside. Nice alternative atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Many possibilities!

Emily Baldwin: The best scrambled eggs you will eat in Port/Semaphore area. After trying numerous cafes in the vicinity…nothing compares to Folklore’s scrambled eggs. They are always delivered steaming hot and cooked to perfection every single time. I don’t know how they do it, they are magicians of the humble eggs. The staff are always friendly, polite and if you come earlier in the mornings the service is super speedy. The coffee is also always on point. If you’re lucky you may spot a dolphin or two.If you’re a bit of a scrambled egg looking for some delicious scrambled eggs this is the place for you. Top tip: if you order haloumi you also get a slice of lemon which goes nicely with the eggs and thick slice of sourdough.

Rebekah Bell: If you’re scanning google for cafe’s to hit up - stop right now and go here. Seriously divine food, unbelievable coffee, lovingly prepared food, gorgeous sensory experience with vintage pottery kitchenware, vibes from the staff were so warm & chill, and the view of the water from the deck was heaps peaceful.I’ll literally track this cafe down and come back next time i’m passing through Adelaide. Amaaazing vibe.Vegetarian options: Garlic mushrooms were out of controllllSoo good! Halloumi was the best I’ve ever had. The texture was perfect!

Lola Harris: Best cafe in Adelaide! There’s a reason why this cafe is still going strong a decade on. Previously would visit on the daily when the hospital was in the east end. I look forward to my week day off now as I come here on the weekly. Rotate between breakfast and lunch visits. Love all the rolls and salads and the change of tray bakes and soups over winter. They also have great little treats on offer from croissants and muffins to seasonal things made in house. Special shout out to Foti who does the best coffee. Can’t rave on enough about one of Adelaide’s best hidden gems. Been my favourite place for years. Keep up the great work Foti and team.

Arielle Likouras: BEST COFFEE IN ADELAIDE. Penny University is a great little spot that’s tucked away from Rundle street, it has a cool vibe. Everything is made fresh daily at the front of their serving station. There’s plenty of tasty options if you wanted gourmet rolls/wraps, roasted foods such as chicken, a wide variety of salads. I enjoy their breakfast menu, the French toast is delicious and a very generous serving size. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Overall a great place, perfect if you want to sit back and relax meeting friends or you’re grabbing a quick bite during your lunch break.

Niklas Fricke: Describing how great this Café is, is almost not possible. Already whilst approaching this place you just feel happy and relaxed. Although it is situated at a street, the café give very relaxing vibes so that you just feel good. It offers seating inside as well as outside where it is decided from the street with some plastic curtains. As soon as you sit down or get seated the staff hands you the menu and welcomes you very friendly. The café itself has a great atmosphere due to the interior and some decent music playing in the background. It offers some great food, which ranges from typical breakfast options like eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, variations of toasts and lots of other things to lunch options. Additionally they have some special offers displayed above the bar. Today there was a shakshuka.I ordered a cappucino, which was unquestionable good, the shakshuka and to finish it off, a great little cheesecake. The shakshuka was amazing and came with some in butter toasted bread and rucola. The cheesecake meanwhile was quite small but more than enough, extremely creamy and unbelievable good. The price of 8$ for the cappucino, 28$ for the shakshuka and 8$ dollars for the cheesecake was a bit surprising for me first of all but after trying the food it was absolutely reasonable. All in all, this café is a must visit if you stay in Adelaide and want to have either breakfast, lunch or just an amazing hot drink. I am definitely going to visit it again for a couple of times. An absolutely lovely place!Thank you so much for this amazing breakfast.

Quỳnh Trang: I stumbled upon Coffylosophy and I’m so glad I did! This place has a really cool vibe and cozy seating. It’s the perfect spot to unwind. The staff here are super friendly and made me feel welcome right away. I ordered a latte, and it was amazing—smooth, rich, and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about their coffee here. The ambiance is great whether you’re catching up with friends or just chilling alone. The music is at a nice level, and there’s plenty of seating options. Plus, the Wi-Fi is solid if you need to get some work done.Overall, Coffylosophy is a gem in Adelaide. Great coffee, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere—what more could you ask for? Definitely coming back!

Sreerag Nampoothiri K: As a Melbourne native, I arrived with high expectations, given the cafe's impressive ratings. While the decor wasn't as upscale as I anticipated, the emphasis on quality and service was evident. The staff were incredibly friendly and delightful to interact with, making the experience very pleasant.Although the ambiance could use some improvement and the food menu could benefit from more options, the coffee was a standout. It was exceptionally smooth, with no unpleasant aftertaste, which I usually dislike. Overall, a great find.
