Danielle Ashford: I am updating my review. I honestly love this place so much. I just want to update on my most recent trip. For those needing a space that is mobility needs friendly I checked in and omg the cabin we stayed in. Amazing wide car space, flat entry and exit. Huge walk in/ wheel in if needed shower with a bench, rails next to the toilet and in the shower. Extra power points. I was blown away. See pics. I've always loved this park but more so now.We have stayed here a few times and never had any issues. We have been here for 6 nights of an 8 night stay in preparation for the birth of my baby. My daughter and I were so comfortable and relaxed. The park is quiet and well maintained and secure. The cabin was lovely, beautiful and clean and with it having an oven and cook top and full size fridge we could cook and shop for the week. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. It's close to the beach and west lakes shopping centre. I will be sad to be leaving after such a lovely week but will be back.

Sonia MARIA: Love this Caravan Park. Parents were long term residents here. Mum remains. The amenities block is very good. Can even have a bath!!The walk to the beach is short and well worth it. I have had many hours walking along the Semaphore beach with my mother. So nice to have my mum so close to this lovely space.

Liberty Overton: Friendly Welcome, Clean Cabin!I almost didn't book to stay here after reading the reviews about the Reception staff; but I found the complete opposite! The man welcomed me and was kind and friendly in getting me organised. He took time to make sure I understood everything and had good directions to my cabin. I was grateful for this, because I was travelling alone with my 4 young children. He then found out I was travelling for a funeral. The next day, as I was checking out, he farewelled me with compassion and encouragement for my difficult day ahead, and hoped to welcome us back under better circumstances. He was very kind and friendly, from the get go.The cabin was extremely neat and tidy. The heater was on ready for us. It had everything we needed!Thank you for looking after us.

Ideally located in an area close to attractions if you choose to venture out of the self contained holiday resort.Safety: Well secured with wristband cards needed to enter every where.Walkability: Covers a big area but easy to walk to all facilities & accommodation.Food & drinks: Good choice of food & drinks for all meals as well as things to get for rooms such as milk bread etc

Debbie Innes: includes the bath, shower, and toilet all in the same room as a comfortable queen bed. The 2nd room had 2 singles.The floors are concrete so there is little to no noise between the 2 floors. The concrete floor is a tad cool on the feet in winter. Bedrooms have carpet, though.We were able to put a child guard up to stop the kids from going down the stairs.The downstairs unit has only 1 bathroom and felt a tad smaller than the upstairs. It also had everything you need.Towels were changed if you put them out.Overall a great place to stay
Lisa Sigley: We just had a lovely stay in you pool side 2 story apartments, but I have one complaint. The shower in the shared bathroom upstairs has no where to place your toiletries, no soap holder or shelf. As an older person I am unable to pick a bar of soap of the floor, and found it disgusting to see the top of the rain shower head covered in the previous occupants left over soap and shampoo/ conditioner container's, YUK!
Nathan Cook: This place is small but well set out. Plenty for the kids to do and the addition of 2x small bowling lanes was great fun.A part from being on the expensive side I only had a couple of down points.The shower/toilet block needs a big overhaul. It's looking very tired. A few more towels in the camp kitchen wouldn't go astray either. We've been to quite a few that also provide an airing rack to hang the wet towels.Whilst watching a movie at night you get two big spot lights shining into your face from behind the screen. Not great when trying to watch a movie.
Morgan: Our stay here was awesome, super easy to get around the park and local suburbs. The facilities kept all the kids and adults happy while we stayed here for 3 nights. We had a 3 bedroom cabin and it was a great space. Everything was clean and really well kept in the cabin and the park itself. Heaps of space for the kids to ride on bikes and close to the shops too. Lovely park and highly recommend!!

Lotte Taylor: Great Campsite - Location is stunning and staff are lovely.Trip very much marred by other site occupants. As we were camping we left a bag of goods in the site fridge overnight which was stolen, including a small cheese cake we bought for my mother for her birthday today from the Adelaide Markets. All was labelled and dated but this didn’t deter the thief. Disappointing and not the staffs fault, they were very apologetic. DO NOT USE THE KITCHEN FACILITY FRIDGES DUE TO THIS. Also, first time visiting from NZ and this, over multiple years of travelling and camping at campgrounds world wide, this has never happened to us. Disappointing, Australia.

Rebecca Harney: Big 4 is always #1 when we are going away, the facilities available are fantastic for our children to attend.This was our first time in SA and it did not disappoint. The park and the facilities are wonderful, the staff we did speak to were great and my children had such a wonderful time - they love the caravan park life!The close proximity to beach/shops was also great, not so much walking distance like we are used to in Melbourne, but in a car was only a few minutes down the road.Beautiful time!

María Jesús Hernández: I booked a budget unit queen room and When I arrived good cleaning, the first photo I just sat on the bed haha but when I arrived the bed was perfectly made. Bathroom very clean, just the nightstand a bit dusty but I am not very fussy. I would suggest to change the odour spray for a citric one because as soon as I got in to the room I felt a smell like Smokey and perfume 😣. Anyways, the bed is comfortable and very nice boiling shower haha I like it 👌depending who is your next door neighbour is a bit noisy but after 10pm is pretty quiet here. Wifi sometimes works fine then not much but In general, If I would come back, yes 👍

The girls in the office are amazing and a wealth of knowledge about the area, and what to visit. We loved how central we are to Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and Victor Harbor. What a great place to make your base while you travel around. William: We have been coming to McLaren Vale Park for 3 years and love staying here. The live band and dancing last night were so good. The coffee van is exceptional as open every morning even Easter Friday. Staying 5 nights works very well as we stay until late night on the last day and get a long break instead of leaving at 10am.Nearby activities: The Cube is magnificent, we loved it. Linda Kirchner: Great drive across the Nullarbor to tick a Bucket List item of mine. James & Vicki in Adelaide were particularly attentive to my needs. I'm not a fan of the new location however. It's a long haul back into the CBD after the hire vehicle is returned. Perhaps some additional post-hire customer service could be considered.
Imane FATMI-MAANAOUI: The staff in both Melbourne and Adelaide were very professional! They even called us once to ensure everything was going well. We mentioned that we had a small issue with some of the lights not working, and they immediately offered to send someone to fix it, but we declined as it wasn't a problem for us.I definitely recommend them for a safe and smooth road trip experience !

David Rootsey: Comfortable drive around the place. Two small gripes. Drop off point feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere and no courtesy bus or public transport available. Sleeping arrangements were cramped for a tall person 195cm but that’s always going to be a challenge with camper hires. Overall got us everywhere we wanted and it was fuel efficient.

Even reimbursed a battery we bought for the van on the way! Very close to both petrol stations for fuel top-up and an Anaconda for LP gas refill. Uber from location back to the Adelaide CBD or airport ~A$25-35.

Jen Engelhardt: My friend and I relocated one of their camper vans from SA to Victoria then waited a few days and did the return journey. Vicki at the Gepps Cross office was very fantastic, welcoming and helpful as was Emma at the other end. We were able to phone the help number when a small issue arose with friendly service on the other end. It's worth double checking that the tv works, you know where the volume control is and that the sliding door sensors are clean before leaving! For a $1 @ day plus fuel it was a great way for us to experience camper van life for the first time and see the countryside! We'll certainly do it again

Amanda Z: While being temporarily homeless, we stayed here one night. Best place I've been to North of the city. I wish I could live there!!!!!!! We stayed in a self-contained villa, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an ensuite. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook up a storm, and the lounge area was comfortable with a smart TV. Guess there was one slight thing... the WiFi signal was very weak and not able to be used. It may have just been the room, not sure, but it made the tv not so smart. Overall, it would be my first choice if I needed to stay anywhere near there.

Curtis Tribe Adventures: . They talk loudly, have their phone conversations on hands free so the whole park can hear. They swear like troopers and abuse you when you ask them to keep the volume down. The night manager did speak to them as she heard the loudness and swearing as well. Apart from that the park is great. Edy: Stayed 8 nights and be surprised, it’s close to a main road but very quiet during the night, very close to a terrific choice of shopping centres. Amenities outdated but extremely clean. Clean laundry just $3 x 45 minute wash. Yes, CCTV in bathrooms just in front area but not in cubicles but that’s because of vandalism since CCTV they’ve not had any vandalism. Great park for big rigs. Very friendly staff. Noticed not all sites had a green mat but our drive thru did. Green lawns around for a refreshing look. Will definitely go back at $38 pn for drive thru.

Clean and well laid out park good size sites ideal for your annexe. Amenities although dated they were clean unlike some of the more upmarket parks we've been to. You've got your pool a playground for the kids pet friendly. I have no complaints. This is our go to park now when we come to Adelaide. Out of a lot of the parks we've stayed at that charge quite a bit more with unclean sites poor customer service are poorly designedGawler gateway gets a big thumbs up from me.

Carol Williams: Like all caravan parks when visiting for the first time, We came not knowing what to expect. Delighted with the whole experience just doesn’t cut the mustard. This place is a gem. It’s not 100% perfect but it’s close to around 98%. It’s just central to the shops trams pubs buses and city entertainment. Who needs big 4?Outstanding service facilities cleanliness.We’re enjoying this experience and NOT wanting to go home.Love it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Des T: We stayed here as our base camp when we came to the City for "Pinks" Concert. Great Location close to Public Transport, nearby Shops and Food Outlets and of course so close to the City. We utilised the Tram and took it to the Pink Concert at Adelaide Oval, then to Glenelg the next day for Lunch, and then to meet up with friends in the City. Amenities were good and has everything we needed. For us it is all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, and CONVENIENCE. We will stay again. Only disappointment was that previous people had said they got a bottle of wine on Arrival. Sadly though none for us.....Nearby activities: So close to the City and with Public Transport to get you there and back and also to Glenelg Beach.
Andrew McKinnon: Very nice and neat. Toilets were well maintained. Great spot to ride around as it is flat. There are a lot of ants.Safety: High walls around the entire park.Walkability: Close to a tram station and a pub.
Dave A: Convenient location, close to the Adelaide CBD. Amenities are good and in sufficient numbers. Sites are nice and large, and the majority are paved.Utility poles are a little hard to reach, being quite a distance from where your van is parked. Make sure you have sufficient length of power cables and water and sullage hoses 😀

Holly Harrap: Beautiful Park!!!Very peaceful and relaxing. You can see the time and money they have put into the place-Stayed in our van as we had our dog, but used the amenities. Very clean and well maintained.Loved watching the possums and kangaroos.This is definitely a place we will stay again!!!

Fred Bakker: Loved staying at this caravan park. Very clean and tidy, friendly staff and roomy sites for caravans of all sizes. Gravel sites with a mat included. Amenities were clean and a huge covered BBQ area. Ideally located if you want to head for Adelaide, Victor Harbour or Hahndorf. National park next to the park. We thought it was one of the best parks we have stayed at.A must stay if you are visiting the area.Walkability: Belair National Park is right next to the Caravan Park and has some short and long walks with lots of wildlife.
E D: Omg this place is an amazing place for a stay.We stayed on a powered site.Sites were quite large with floor mat.Amenities were kept very clean and tidy.Staff were friendly, and so was the resident dog.Set next to the Belair National Park, which is great for walks especially with your pup who must be on a leash at all times. Lots of wildlife around.Dog friendly Park.Will definitely stay here again

Kym Richardson: My wife and I have been travelling in our van for the past 6 months and this is one of the best parks we have stayed in. The owners and staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make yr stay comfortable and enjoyable. Beautiful setting with kangaroos, kookaburras and wildlife abundant feels like yr in the countryside and yet 5 min drive to shops etcWill definitely come back again.Thanks to all,Kym and Karin Richardson
