Lifeflow Meditation Centre: what do users think?

Adam Basheer: 7 day retreat was a great amount of time to gain some real benefits from meditation. Concentration theme was just right for me at the moment. Always run professionally and superbly.

Kara: I adore Lifeflow and it is an honour to be a part of their community. I have been studying meditation through Lifeflow for at least a year now and the experience has been phenomenally life changing. I am on level three and I have learned so much. I have a fair bit to go still which I am so excited about as the learning experience is very enjoyable. I have been to one retreat at Tara Hills late last year and I cannot wait to go again. The retreat was pure calm and bliss… I tried to hide in the bushes so I could live there forever but unfortunately they found me pretty quickly! Definitely recommend to anyone genuinely wanting to improve their quality of life from the inside out.

Nick Colebatch: The meditation retreat was one of the best things I’ve done! Thank you!

Nikki Wight: and the food was a perfect combination of visually appealing, delicious and nutritious

Yoga Byrne: I have just spent 7 beautiful days on a retreat with Lifeflow . Highly recommended……. love ❤️

H McCutcheon: I did a weekend retreat and that was amazing.I did a week retreat and that was transformative! It has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever given to myself - ever!

linda sullivan: A weekend at Tara Hills retreat centre in the glorious, peaceful Adelaide hills with the amazing bird life, towering gums, beautiful , comfortable accommodation and nourishing healthy food is restorative and blissful. The guided meditation, gentle yoga and incredible wisdom of Lifeflow’s teachers is authentic and heart warming. Altogether a healing experience which certainly unites body and mind. I will always be incredibly grateful for the opportunities that Lifeflow has given to me to learn and grow as a human. Linda Sullivan.January 2023Just attended a non residential retreat 28 - 30th December at the Lifeflow studio in Frewville. It was a wonderful way to wind down and refresh at the end of the year and especially after the busy Christmas period. The retreat was called Reflection and Renewal and was led by Ben who did an amazing job of getting across some beautiful theory on aspects of love and how to get in touch with and to stay in touch with the safe harbour of the inner life. Thank you so much, Ben, and your violin piece at the end was an absolute bonus, quite beautiful. Thanks also to the lovely Margie who talked us through some gentle yoga and also into complete and blissful relaxation. The food was tasty, nourishing and plentiful. So grateful for the opportunity. Linda.

Robyn Habel: were excellent - improved various back issues I had! The food was super healthy and super delicious. Accommodation was top notch and set in the most beautiful countryside setting. Highly recommended to recharge and give yourself much needed self care!

Judianne Halls: I do the meditation online lovely experience

Jo Garrett: This was my first retreat, and something I have wanted to do for many years. I found a new awareness within myself that I never knew was there. The classes in 'Repairing the Past' ... wow wow. Nicole gave such a deep, honest, funny, poignant, meaningful approach in looking at my past, seeing my past in a different perspective, reconciling my past with more of an understanding. I am so grateful to Lifeflow for this safe, supported, beautiful location. I have not felt the peace I have within, for many many years and will look forward to my next retreat. I will concentrate more on the meditation sessions with my next retreat, and felt that let myself down in that area by not attending the sessions of meditation offered on this retreat. The meals offered were so flavorsome, which I haven't had a wholly vegetarian diet before. I will now introduce more of vegetarian into my every day life. My absolute favorite part of the retreat was the silence. WOW how this simple action can have such an impact on the senses. It truly truly re-grounded my inner core from the silence and for that again Lifeflow you ticked that box in giving me an opportunity to experience that. For anybody out there who is pondering to retreat or not to retreat, I encourage you to try the experience. Its not easy, at times can be painful, but the support you have around you, from mother earth, peaceful location, Nicole, Mark, Margie & Kerry and other retreat members is heartfelt. That path for me was well worth my treading. Thank you Lifeflow. Jo

Kyle Collenette: Lifeflow meditation centre and the Tara hills meditation retreat are right on the mark with the teaching and understandings they are excited to share with whoever finds the need for self discovery / enlightenment and everything else that simply just is !!! I have been meditating on and off for nearly 20 years very disciplined for a 5 year period meditating from 5 am til 8.30 pm with no talking outside of brief discussions at the start of a 4 hour still silent meditation . I was on a personal journey of self discovery and enjoyed this time immensely, even opening a meditation for healing centre in Perth offering deep tissue massage reflexology reiki etc . However my meditation now with lifeflow has really shown me that the teaching and understandings they have to offer are the only things that I have left avail to me .. so I am sorting out personal and legal issues I can't just walk away from then I will be attending lifeflow with a determination like never before . Thankyou lifeflow

Bakehouse Corner: slowing down, simplifying to learning a more skilful way to live and transforming patterns and habits in ways that work. There is no longer any doubt that meditation and mindfulness work. The challenge is to find teaching that is credible, secular, unsentimental and practical. Lifeflow is it. FM

Margie Nelson: LifeFlow retreat for a weekend and i feel as though everything has been reset. deep peace and calm. thank you once again

Suzi M: A special and enriching experience, easily one of the most important things I have done for myself.

Leila Belle: Providing a unique and comprehensive suite of classes, courses and retreats that teach participants the theoretical and practical components to learning and integrating meditation info our lives, the Lifeflow teachers are friendly, knowledgeable and so passionate about sharing these invaluable tools with others. A welcoming environment that 'feels like home' and keeps me coming back for more. I can highly recommend both the studio based classes and weekend retreats for learning to cultivate awareness, understanding, intention and fulfillment in daily life.

Beth McMahon: The Coming Home - 7 day retreat in July was just what I needed to relax and re-communicate with my inner self. It was my first 'long' retreat and having the time and space, day after day to just let go and concentrate on myself was fantastic and calming. The level of care, communication and leadership from John, Lyell and all the staff was something special. The food, bedding, rooms etc was very pleasing, the natural setting was perfect. Do yourself a favour and attend one of these retreats - you won't regret it.

John Harris: I attended the one-day Better Sleep retreat at Lifeflow on June 27. The event was interesting, helpful and well-organised with a wonderful mix of activities and insights into improving sleep routines that I have successfully put into practice. I recommend Lifeflow highly.Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism …

Transcendental Meditation® Adelaide: what do users think?

Adam Rossetto: Learning TM was an immensely rewarding experience. Highly recommend.

Dina Matters: David did a great job teaching my TM course, thank you David! We really enjoyed the very professional experience of learning TM and we look forward to the many benefits we feel sure it will bring us, thanks again for guiding us through and bringing us happily out the other end !

Joshua Tyler: David was a wonderful teacher.

Sally Lowe: Excellent course with an excellent teacher! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend this course to anyone. David is an inspiration.

Matt Goodluck: After reading much about TM, I was very curious to delve deeper and have now just completed the 4 day course. It was a great experience and I attribute a lot of that to David, my instructor. He is kind and patient and has a calm energy about him. He teaches the technique in a detailed manner while stopping to reiterate important aspects and always taking the time for questions, no matter how repetitive. The course is simple and 4 days is probably about right to embed the concepts. I feel TM will be very beneficial for me and am committed to making it a part of my daily routine. Thank you.

David Mealor: I can not recommend TM highly enough. I can already feel the difference it is making in my daily life. Taught by a generous, wise, warm and gifted teacher. Forever grateful.

Sarah Adamson: The best lifetime investment I have made in myself would be TM. Trancendental Meditation has increased my ability to manage stress in a beneficial and productive way. I feel calmer, more clarity, increased productivity and better interpersonal communication with family and colleagues. The instructor David is very knowledgeable and helpful, and emulates all of the qualities that are received from regular TM practice.

Sophia: I've suffered from chronic pain & PTSD for a long time, almost no other treatments over the years have made as much of a difference as this course did. It gave me power over my mind and body in unconscious ways which reduced my symptoms and increased my quality of life. It made living simpler, easier and made me more hopeful for the future. If you've been searching for a way to improve your life, this meditation technique might be of great help to try!

Dianne E: I am really grateful that I did my TM training at the Adelaide centre about a month before the first Covid lockdown. Prior to this I had tried different meditations however not consistently. I do half an hour yoga when I get up followed by my first TM meditation and then do another meditation later in the afternoon. I am surprised how easy the process has been as well as how easy it has been to estabilish a regular routine. What I have noticed is that I feel more organised and efficient with my work and daily tasks. I am also more focused and creative. On the health side my blood pressure has been more within normal range which is a great bonus. I have also enjoyed participating in two online TM women's retreats which have been so relaxing and informative.

Michael Shanahan: I thoroughly enjoyed my course at Adelaide TM. It was peaceful, informative and really helpful as I learned. David was a fantastic teacher who goes above and beyond for his students and I have really appreciated the ongoing support months passed my training. I highly recommend this course for those who are seeking a little more internal quiet in their lives.

Scott McKay: TM has helped me relax, think and reason and better prepare my thinking both in my home and work. The learnings are simple and the teaching thorough and well delivered. Now its up to my discipline and practice.

Kim Ramsey: friendly , safe and professional environment to learn meditation. Now is the time to learn to quiet ones mind, and in that practice our minds become calm, quiet, confident- allowing for more resilience and energy. thank you TM

Jordan N: I was taught the TM technique at the Adelaide center and I am truly happy with my experience. I had heard about TM for years and had always wanted to learn it, and having now gone through the course I am so glad I did it. In the past I had dabbled in different styles of meditation to varying degrees of success, always finding it an effort to make work and feeling a nagging sense of doubt as to if I was 'doing it right'. However, having gone through the TM course, my meditation practice is now such an effortless experience that always has me feeling refreshed and uplifted directly after. Additionally, after going through the course I have had all of my questions related to meditation answered. I feel now that I have quite a comprehensive knowledge of both the technique itself and all of the experiences that I encounter during meditation. I believe this is thanks to the way the course itself is structured and to my teacher, David, who was a wealth of knowledge, a true expert. All of my doubts and questions have been cleared up, and there is nothing left for me to do but practice and enjoy the technique, along with the benefits it has brought in my personal relationships and daily activity. I have felt a great reduction in anxiety and anger and find it easier to bounce back from life's bumps. Although I don't have any more doubt about my practice anymore, I am happy that the center offers free lifetime support to those who have completed the course, so if I ever do have any questions about my meditations in the future I am able to talk it over with my teacher and run through anything I want to get checked. The availability of my teacher to make sure I am getting the full benefits of this technique is something that, to me, makes the entire course worth it. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in TM to attend a free introductory lecture, meet a TM teacher and learn more about the technique. TM is the real deal and my experience has been nothing but positive.

Michael Bagshaw: I had been thinking about TM for quite a while, and finally did the course after a recommendation from a friend. It was all I thought it would be, and more. Very easy to learn, and I have continued on with daily practice ever since. Something I never did using other methods. Michael

ROSEMARY CARDINALI: TM has made everything in life better, work, concentration, sleep and stress. The course is practical and well taught without any "new age" influences. I cant imagine life without the practice of meditation now. Well worth every cent.

Lynda Scott: Feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated after a blissful day retreat at Transcendental Meditation Adelaide yesterday. Thanks so much to Lucia and David and my fellow mediators for such a lovely day. Lynda Scott

Varsha Parkar: TM is incredible technique for achieving wellness of body and mind at same time. And it's very easy to get accommodated in your routine. I am thankful to Yasmin, my TM trainer. She is wonderful as a trainer and awesome person.

Julie Chamberlain: In a world dominated by illuminated screens, what sweet relief to close my eyes and sink effortlessly into deep rest, while remaining alert to enjoy the experience. It feels good, but don’t take my word for it. Forty years of research have shown that during TM, stress hormones drop quite a lot lower than in sleep. At the same time, brainwave coherence increases, as does the production of feel-good substances such as dopamine and serotonin. I can’t say whether this meditation technique is better than any other. That’s because I started with it forty years ago, and have never felt the need to try any others. When you’re on a good thing, stick to it!

DreamWellDave: TM has brought so much physical and mental harmony in my life. Before i started Tm i couldn't do anything significant without getting run down, stressed out and or sick. The gift this technique has given me is priceless and empowering. It's a boundless fountain from which, at any time anywhere, i can draw out peace, creativity, clarity, energy and ultimately my-self. ^_^

Buddha House: what do users think?

Joshika Akhil: Serene environment with wonderful staff, generously giving their time 🙏

Paul and Davy around OZ: Buddha House, formerly a Christian church, has transformed into a serene Buddhist temple in Adelaide. It serves as a peaceful haven for Buddhist individuals and offers a great opportunity to learn about Buddhism through its educational projects. It is also a fantastic place to introduce children to the teachings of Buddhism. A visit to this wonderful and unique location is definitely worth it for those seeking tranquility and knowledge.

Ada W.: Buddha House is a FPMT centre following the authentic Gelug lineage. It has friendly volunteers, knowledgeable Buddhist teachers, and a peaceful learning environment with a huge collection of dharma books. It's an honour for me to meet people here and learn together.

Helen Manos: Having once been a volunteer at BH, I realise how important the Dharma/Dhamma is in the world. I’d like to see lineages as helping everyone without a parochial bias ie Theravada and Mahayana as equally superb

Raman Kumar Sharma: Buddha is a known saint for meditation and peace.I haven't visited inside but would like to visit sometime. A few photographs from outside the building.

Greg S: Beautiful space and people, important spiritual resource for Adelaide

Robby Perrin: Different

Jason Noll: Good

Manuel Huet: Nice people, nearly finished and looks great

Ranulaka Hattotuwa: A very peaceful and enjoyable place to go to.

Thuseethan Selvarajah: This temple is so peaceful and nice. They welcome everyone warmly. I liked how calm it was and how they're friendly to everyone. It's a good place to learn about Buddhism and feel relaxed. I'd tell anyone looking for a peaceful place to visit here ❤️

Ruvin Weliwita - Ceylon Roo: Really nice Buddhist temple situated in hills.

Kim Bawden: Soo nice to see this temple after many years in the old one at athelstone, and great to see 2 more monks at the moment so it's not all on one's shoulders to serve the community. much deserved facilities for the community, one small detail would be to have writing in english in the kitchens/facilities as even my Sri Lankan family that grew up in Sri Lanka and speak sinhalese struggle to read and some cannot read at all. Info on facebook is also mostly untranslated so the future generations of sri lankans are not going to connect with their culture. Can't attend if you cannot read it.
