Semaphore Waterslide Complex: what do users think?

Rina G: Update Jan 2022 - Sadly the famous waterslide complex has been demolished. It served many a happy time but did need upgrading due to practicality and safety with the ageing slide. Hopefully we'll see something terrific in its place in the very near future 👍💖

Sandra “Sandy” ROBERTS: Great food, wonderful scenery, see people actually out and about!! Reconnect and interact with real people. Great staff. Have a look, you'll love it!!!

Kelly Spendlove: Great day out when youve exhausted the beaches and need some sand free fun.

Joe Karpati: Always nice to visit and do the train ride

James R: Great for some warmer weather slides for the kids

Kauser Shireen: Good place to hangout with family...can listen the wind breeze and the water sound that fantastic

David and Bridget Holmes: Staff were great at check in, briefing and with assistance on the structure. The choice of activities, and that you could take as long as you wanted, made for a great experience. We did this as a family of 5 and we all gave it a big thumbs up. The only reason for missing the 5th star was the missed opportunities for photos/ videos.

Ethan’s Insights (Eth): To me, a risk taker, this whole course is pretty scary and I like that as it’s challenging! Tahlia Holmes: It was a amazing experience

Taras Deck: Really good place, offers kids pool, medium pool, and 50m olympic pool divided into lanes for laps. Use lanes on your skill level. Gives an immaculate vibe. 2 Fast slides to race your friend, one slide which is fun cause its dark for a bit, canteen selection is good, I suggest hot chocolate with hazelnut and chips, overall this place is a great place to take your friends, kids, family, or just yourself.

M J: Excellent staff, instructors and venue. Very professional, patient and knowledgeable instructors. Although there are many excellent instructors, Angie was amazing to deal with. Thanks Angie!! Great location, water slides are awesome, loads of free parking with easy wheelchair access. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend!!

Luke Edwards: Been coming here for 25+ years. Was nice to see upgrades in recent years. Has a great vibe still and happy to be able to bring my own children here nowdays.

Terry Stevens: Was great. Grandsons loved it.

Suemin Yang: Busy Bees Playgroup at the Holden Hill Community Centre organized an outing to Water World. When my three school-age children found out, they opted to go to Water World instead of attending school. It was our family's inaugural visit to Water World. The weather was perfect, and it wasn't as crowded as we had anticipated, allowing the kids to play comfortably. The barbecue facilities were fantastic. I believe hosting the kids' birthday parties here would be a great idea. We'll certainly return next time for more play and slides.Thank you, Jackie, and all the other volunteers who contributed to making this event so fantastic. Your hard work and dedication truly made it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Timtams Smith: I went to water world with my family and we blast of a time

Jayson Reynolds: I went there and there was lots of things to do there it was so fun

Trishy Post: it's really a 5 but unfortunately the slides aren't available during weekdays.

Russell King: Brilliant - plenty of shaded areas and spots to sit on the nice lush grass even on the hottest of days, with the water the perfect temperature and always crystal clear.

Samer Madbak: Great

Sea Breeze: .Sometimes the pool is closed to the public, when local schools have swim carnivals on. This is well advertised on their Facebook page.Good local facility for the area, well done to the TTG council for running this from Oct to April each summer.Free electric bbqs. lots of shady trees. Ducks.Movie nights in summer, the novelty of watching a movie, while in and out of the pools.Well staffed with helpful lifeguards. They do a lot of water safety education, helping people to enjoy the pool safely.Attached shop area with googles, swimwear for sale.Hope they reinstate the easy to read poolside clock, to help people keep track of when it’s time to reapply sunscreen.https://www.teatreegully.sa.gov.au/Places-Council-parks-facilities-and-venues/Waterworld-Aquatic-Centre

Leanne Tiver: Wonderful place to stay with many facilities to use. Something for everyone. Many different accommodation choices that are located around the park. Friendly & helpful staff. Ideally located in an area close to attractions if you choose to venture out of the self contained holiday resort.Safety: Well secured with wristband cards needed to enter every where.Walkability: Covers a big area but easy to walk to all facilities & accommodation.Food & drinks: Good choice of food & drinks for all meals as well as things to get for rooms such as milk bread etc

R K Shah: Holiday park is good

Debbie Innes: includes the bath, shower, and toilet all in the same room as a comfortable queen bed. The 2nd room had 2 singles. The floors are concrete so there is little to no noise between the 2 floors. The concrete floor is a tad cool on the feet in winter. Bedrooms have carpet, though. We were able to put a child guard up to stop the kids from going down the stairs. The downstairs unit has only 1 bathroom and felt a tad smaller than the upstairs. It also had everything you need.Towels were changed if you put them out.Overall a great place to stay

Lisa Sigley: We just had a lovely stay in you pool side 2 story apartments, but I have one complaint. The shower in the shared bathroom upstairs has no where to place your toiletries, no soap holder or shelf. As an older person I am unable to pick a bar of soap of the floor, and found it disgusting to see the top of the rain shower head covered in the previous occupants left over soap and shampoo/ conditioner container's, YUK!

Nathan Cook: This place is small but well set out. Plenty for the kids to do and the addition of 2x small bowling lanes was great fun.A part from being on the expensive side I only had a couple of down points. The shower/toilet block needs a big overhaul. It's looking very tired. A few more towels in the camp kitchen wouldn't go astray either. We've been to quite a few that also provide an airing rack to hang the wet towels.Whilst watching a movie at night you get two big spot lights shining into your face from behind the screen. Not great when trying to watch a movie.

Morgan: Our stay here was awesome, super easy to get around the park and local suburbs. The facilities kept all the kids and adults happy while we stayed here for 3 nights. We had a 3 bedroom cabin and it was a great space. Everything was clean and really well kept in the cabin and the park itself. Heaps of space for the kids to ride on bikes and close to the shops too. Lovely park and highly recommend!!

One negative things was that the staff were just located at the main entrance area from where you start each course and in some sections we needed help and it would’ve been helpful if they were dispersed or came to that area when we called them. Cleland Conservation Park: what do users think?

Kelly Holloman: A lovely destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features diverse wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, which are a highlight. The walking trails are pleasant, though some could benefit from better signage. The views from certain points are quite nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are adequate, with clean restrooms and picnic areas. It’s a great place for a relaxed day trip, but if you’re looking for more challenging hikes, you might find the trails here a bit easy. Overall, it's a solid choice for a nature getaway.

Brian LeBlanc: Cleland National Park is a good spot for nature lovers. The trails are straightforward and offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. Seeing native wildlife is a nice touch, though it can get a bit crowded during peak times. Facilities are basic but sufficient for a day trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for a local nature experience, but don’t expect solitude during busy periods.

Marian Kelly: Amazing place, loved getting up close to the animals.

Krystina Ebsary: I took my children here for a family day out. They all had an amazing time and loved the snake holding experience. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Liisa Grace Baun: Excellent hiking trail with stunning scenic views. There are plenty of rest stops along the way from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. While some parts are steep, they don't last long.

Lillian Pais: Nature at its best

Long Vu: Fresh air, very nice park with Kangaroo, Koala and other Aussie animals, nice experience for family with kids. Recommend to spend about 90mins here on the trip to Hahndorf

Jose Ignacio Montemayor: A place to relax and enjoy nature 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hong Nguyen: It's such a lovely place for the kids and even adults to get together. Clean, quiet, and peaceful space, especially for families to have a picnic at the weekend.Highly recommended.

Ale Paron: , cover tables, drinkable water. Toilets next to the playground. Free parking on the street everyday. Parking not permitted mon-fri from 8am-10am. Lots of cute rats around the bbqs. During night time you can spot possums. On Sundays there is a coffee van park next to the playground ❤️

Tila W: One of if not the very best playground in Adelaide. It's a pleasure being under the big tree & enjoying the beauty & shade. Water & nature play for the kids. Cllimbing rocks, balancing in the huge roots of the tree, sand, sticks, leaves. Can be enjoyed without getting too wet, there's a water pump & tap the kid love fiddling with & making the water collect at the little dam which they then lift & let it flow down into the sand at the bottom.Playground equipment is great. 2 main areas for toddlers & bigger kids, close enough together that u can keep a close eye. The 1m wide slide is awesome fun! Climbing the rocks to get up is lots on fun, but of course calls for more supervision & assistance for little kids. It's really better to come here when you intend to stay a while & get messy. We had a bday party here. There's 2 benches near the play area, loads of shade grass, 1 or 2 covered bench seating & bbq areas. Would recommend a sunday for bdays bc lots more parking is available. It's fully enclosed & good new toilets there, huge importance. On the downside, I wish they didn't do the recent replacement of the smaller playground near the water play. It was better before, lower heights, more suited for 1-2yo to play independently but now its a stay-arms-length situation.

Bharat Odedra (BVO): Beautiful park and good picnic spot. Public toilet and parking facilities available.

Theres also a pirate ship, which can pique kids' imagination, making it truly a fun adventure park for children, as they can roleplay as pirates or something, which makes it so enjoyable for kids, and for adults to watch them.A fun park, recommended to go to, sometimes theres a little bit of rubbish but do us all a favour and pick it up and put it in the bin. Thanks!

Brince8971: Best environmental and kindness the people

Jens Bauer: Hello,When you're here in Adelaide, a visit to the Parklands is a must. A beautiful large area that includes several parks and Lake Torrens. There are countless green spaces, shady places, paths and other attractions. You can switch between the two sides of the lake via several bridges to explore the different places. From here you also have access to some locations such as the Festival Hall, the main train station and the cricket stadium. The Adelaide Parklands are really beautiful and invite you to linger at any time of the day, definitely visit.

Gabriel: Could not appreciate our daily walks here any time of the day. I love how a lot of people come and go at any given time.

Khalid M: .We split up our walk through the Parklands over several days, which I’d recommend. There’s a walking trail loop easily identified by the blue circle markers on the ground

Hong Nguyen: Here, I was able to immerse myself in nature and let my soul follow the water stream. Here, I was under a tree glittering in the autumn sun and dreaming old dreams. Here, I remembered the old days when I sat reading and thinking about distant horizons, and missing my loved ones.

Hawson Maw: Beautiful nature with Trees.

Zhen Zhou: All Adelaide's parks are well managed, with natural scenery and artificial additions of many representative plants and animals from around the world, giving them a unique style. Appreciating these parks requires quiet and frequent visits, slowly and carefully divided into zones and species. If you can record your feelings every time, you will feel joy that you have never experienced before.

Srecko Rakic: Yea ok

Bruce Wayne Birch: It's always a unique experience when you walk around the different walking tracks that surround our wonderful city called Adelaide. I really am very impressed with all the thoughtfulness that went into creating these trails. Such a beautiful and lush experience! 🤩 #BrucesPlanet.Com

There was a wide and varied display of animals in clean enclosures. Enclosures could be much larger but I understand it's hard when there's only a limited amount of Zoo property. Overall, the amenities were great, the staff were informative and polite and the entrance fees were reasonable.

Jonathan Hu: Happy birthday Wangwang and Funi! Proudly as a lifetime member of Adelaide Zoo, I booked a flight all the way from Sydney to Adelaide in the last week of August 2024 to celebrate their birthday before they go back to China. Chakravarthy Venkatachalam: What a serene environment, just go there and sit listening to the water and it is like meditating

Pirouz Poursasan: Small tranquil area in the heart of Adelaide CBD just to give you a moment of peace in Japanese style.

Winnie Wong: Beautiful tranquil space.Quiet environment to rest and meditate.Very well maintained.

shaira noshin: It was small but peaceful to take a walk and enjoy the beauty of it.

Wow Houseboats: Adelaide's Himeji Garden is a serene and beautifully designed Japanese garden located in the heart of the city. Opened in 1985, this garden is a symbol of the sister-city relationship between Adelaide and Himeji in Japan. It features traditional Japanese landscape elements, including tranquil koi ponds, meticulously manicured plants, and elegant stone pathways. The garden is divided into two main sections: the Shinto-inspired garden, which highlights the beauty of simplicity and natural harmony, and the more formal garden, showcasing classic Japanese landscaping techniques.

マロンパンケーキ: It was a very well-maintained and small garden, but it was a perfect and wonderful Japanese garden. Plants and flowers were all Japanese gardens themselves. I was impressed.

Kwangil Jeon: A beautiful park in Adelaide. It made me feel like I was in Japan for a short while.

Amber: smaller than i remember, but that’s not the garden’s fault at all. if you come on a good day, the garden is incredibly scenic & quiet. the big pond in the middle of the garden has turtles that often pop up & sucks that fly into the water. however, when it’s busy, the atmosphere is ruined fairly quickly

Cherie Green: Just so beautiful & relaxing

Kyle Mills: A quaint little area in the middle of Adelaide, ideal for hanging out with friends, running, or just unwinding. At night, they light up some fairy lights, which adds a bit of character. Other than that, it’s fairly ordinary, in my opinion.

Melissa Nguyen: It's a clean place, its very spacious and it holds annual events every year like setting up a giant christmas tree and more. Food trucks can be spotted outside of Victoria Square sometimes, and it's close to a tram stop, it's not a bad place, I would go there if you had time, just for a place to relax. Good place.

JOSE FLORES: It is a wonderful place to share lovely moments with family and friends. A place to connect with nature and the majesty of the city of Adelaide.

Mark Reuter: Good coffee in cafe on Western side of the square.

sam A: good

Michael Ringenoldus: Big open space with awnings and paved areas, restrooms and fountains

Aus Mark-feb: Very good park in the centre of Adelaide with tram conveniently there
