Globe Medical Adelaide: what do users think?

Yannis Brown: Had a vaccination the doctor I was to see was running behind the staff arranged for another doctor to see me who had a moment and cut my wait short. Brilliant!Update: 2024 another trip to Asia and the doctor was very thorough with expectations, how to best protect myself based on my plans and what vaccinations I should look at. In the end, I was fairly up to date and just had a booster for TDAP.

Derick Hardaway: Dr. Stacey was nice and provided pin-point advice for my situation. Great one.

Carolyn Cochrane: I have been coming here for many years for travel vaccinations. Globe continue to be a very thorough and friendly service. The vaccination experience is painless which is always a bonus! I would highly recommend Globe Medical.

Margaret D.: We have seen Dr Bob Kass since 2018 for travel medical advice and recently went again in readiness for a trip to Sri Lanka, Turkiye and Europe. Dr Bob has a wealth of knowledge about travel locations and potential medical issues and risks that could arise. His medical knowledge and experience is extensive and is he is thorough and confident in the advice he provides. Dr Bob seems to have travelled everywhere and is genuinely interested and encouraging of his patients travel plans/adventures. Even the senior ones! The medical kit and travel book authored by Dr Bob are invaluable and certainly helped me avoid a nasty skin infection on a previous trip. The front desk staff were courteous and efficient and the nurse who administered our vaccines was very professional and gentle.A 5 star medical practice for travellers.

The Lovely Rod: . From that, he is able to advise about any vaccinations I may need, which ones would be optional, and which ones aren't required. I've always valued that honest advice and over the years, have now build up both my level of protection and my general travel knowledge! All the other staff in the clinic have always been welcoming and professional with a good sense of humour.Globe Medical was initially recommended to me from a friend when I first began travelling overseas as an adult and in turn, I can't begin to recommend them highly enough to you.

74yerffej: My son is in year 11 and travelling to Borneo on a school trip. The doctor at Globe Medical had incredible knowledge of the area and what was required to keep him healthy. He took my son through the process in a kind and informative way. The staff took time and effort to make sure we were well informed. Highly recommend this clinic!

Jill Bedworth: Very knowledgeable and helpful. Always have an appt before o/seas trips.

Amanda Altman: and now Dr Philpott who both helped me through a very hard time

Istvan Heinrich: Very professional service. No waiting. Experienced, caring, friendly doctors and staff. I live in Marion but I'm a client in this medical centre for at least 8 years.

Courtney Tasker: Been going to GM for decades for all my overseas trip medical advice. Dr Bob Kass is always a wealth of comprehensive knowledge that he always shares with you. He takes a great interest in your itinerary to ensure all elements are covered in his consultation. And the best thing is "Dr Bob's Little Medical Guide" which has been one of our travel essentials god-sent both in domestic and overseas situations. The other essential has been their filtration water bottles.

Celina McKenzie: As I have previously experienced I had an incredibly comprehensive consultation with a very knowledgeable and experienced travel Doctor.

Gavin Medhurst: Always extremely well looked after at Travel Globe Medical. Very thorough, knowledgeable and experienced. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Dr Bob Kass is a treasure.

Sharon Phillips: Dr Bob Kass at Globe medical is very thorough and knowledgeable about all medical needs for any overseas trip that people are planning. He treats everyone individually, especially considering your current medical situation. He makes sure you are fully vaccinated for your trip and even looks at other health issues that might arise. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Globe Medical

Kerri O'Shaughnessy: Had a great experience today at Global Medical. From the moment I arrived everyone was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. All my questions were answered and my travel medication and vaccinations are done. Very efficient. Thank you all

A C: I have been coming to Globe Medical since 2010 for all my international travel vaccinations and medical advice. I have nothing but praise for all the practice staff and Bob Kass is the most knowledgeable and kindest doctor with vast travel experience and a willingness to share that. I wouldn鈥檛 go anywhere else and highly recommend Globe Medical to any travellers.

Deeksha thakur: and the doctor Michael very friendly and an amazing doc.

Karen Hewton: Dr Elaine Powell was very approachable. She went through each disease, it's risks, our choices. She had a balanced approach when making suggestions. Great service from Dr Powell. THANKYOU

Jeanette Ann O'Donnell: Although we were there for 10 hours my husband was thoroughly tested and cared for. Lovely nurses and doctor

R3N 8055: I've needed to come to emergency here a few times. Every time I've been triaged appropriately for the state I've been in and seen really quickly. Once I pissed all over the floor and everyone was really kind and didn't make me feel like an inconvenience or embarrassed. Other time I was very unwell/confused and not making much sense and asked a nurse "are we going to have a baby" that was actually quite funny and I bet they've heard some wild and strange things in there all the time but they take it in their stride.

Marie Smith: I was in the Emergency Department this afternoon. I was put through pretty quickly. I had wonderful caring Nurses and Drs looking after. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of me !!!

Julie Niedzwiecki: I am super impressed by the extraordinary professionalism of the staff, especially the doctors, ambulance officers and support team. They were switched on and thorough and knew how to put us at ease in an incredibly stressful situation. The wait time experience wasn't great but that was not within their control. Thank you QEH!

Travel Bug Vaccination Clinic: what do users think?

Tarquin Schahinger: I haven't had a vaccine since high school because I have been petrified of needles and have worked myself up about them, but because my grandparents have moved into a nursing home and getting a Covid vax soon I needed a flu shot. They were amazing here, they were very understanding of my fear and were just talking to me and then before I knew it the band aid was being placed on and it was all over in a matter of seconds. All the staff were lovely and It was super easy to book in online. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Cindy Claridge: Able to get same day appointment, Dr gave attention to detail, gave detailed advice and was a good needle operator!

Nicolas: We could not be more impressed by Lani & the team at Travel Bug. Wouldn鈥檛 go anywhere else for travel vaccines. With two little boys, it was an unbelievably stress free experience. Any parent planning on travelling with children/teens and wondering where to go for expert travel vaccine advice, should book in. Know that you are getting the best advice and care for your children and yourself.

Hayden Martin: Excellent staff, they have everything you need on site too and at fair prices. I was overseas long term and had to email them regarding some health issues including tetanus information and potential rabies exposure, they replied within 24 hours and were willing to help me out and suggest the best option. Would 100% recommend these guys.

Alannah Jones: As someone who has a needle phobia, I was so relieved and grateful for the patience of the staff and the trust-building that helped me through my appointment.

Sarah Nicholls: Have been in to get all of my Rabies shots recently - excellent service, professional and lots of extra information for my travel that has been very useful! They made it easy for me to plan which vaccines I need before my trip and were very accommodating with appointment times. New location is also very nice and parking is excellent!

P C: Great talk with nurse and doctor before deciding. Great services from the receptionist as well.

William Hingston: Visited once in 2014 and again recently. Very good information and advice and don't try and sell you unnecessary extras like some travel clinics.

Sharyn Braham: Great doctor, very though, parking can be a issue.

Denis Wall: The whole process was seamless. The initial booking enabled me to see a Doctor on the same day. I was met in the car park by the Doctor as there was concern regarding my being contagious. The Doctor was thorough and gave a diagnosis that will be backed up by testing. A very satisfying visit.

This is evident in the way staff treat and communicate with patients: everyone from administrative staff, to nurses and the GPs demonstrate professionalism, warmth, and competence. I feel that I'm taken seriously, and am treated like an active partner in managing my health. I can't recommend this practice highly enough.

Hugh Middlemis: In my experience, Dr Kate Le Cong and Dr Helen Mullner always consider the whole person and provide great health advice, including helping to identify a manageable short list of specialists to consult.

Di Fenwick: As usual, Dr Ukera is very thorough and useful in suggesting tests as part of her diagnosisPlus she doesn't rush you into a drug program

Jillian Miller: I was recently ill with COVID, after phoning the clinic a doctor rang back regarding an E script for antivirals and talked through the reactions to my current meds which she had looked up. She emailed instructions and a phone check was made later to ensure I had the email. A clinic nurse then phone checked on me on four separate days until I was well enough. Excellent treatment.

Tony Allworden: Ward nurses are excellent at what they do, very supportive and friendly to talk to. All support structures in place when you need them.. They helped me when I was in for surgery... Can't say enough about all the staff I interacted with they helped me through a tough time in my life, and I'm still getting help from them...A gigantic Thank You to you all..You're the Best...

Binh Nguyen: The Doctor and staff are super nice.

PAULINE BENZ: Exceptional staff - Doctors, Nursing staff down to the cleaners. Food was good - parking not so. But we managed.

Zonney Bruh: The original Adelaide Hospital was built in 1840 at the eastern end of North Terrace, Adelaide, with its first building superseded in 1856 and many alterations and additions over the following 175 years. It was prefixed by the "Royal" in 1939. In 2017 it was replaced by the new hospital, built at the western end of North Terrace. The new hospital is the most expensive building[1] ever built in Australia, and the most expensive hospital[2] ever built anywhere in the world, at US$2.44 billion in construction and equipment costs. The redevelopment on the site of the old RAH is known as Lot Fourteen.

Ray Min: Saved my life.

Pamela Oldmeadow: After a nasty fall in Adelaide I spent nearly a week in hospital. The facilities were great, and surpassed by the excellent care, always warm, kind and personal. The Cranio-Facial unit were wonderful. I thank everyone.

paul smith: Great place to visit. Great staff. Excellent care.
