I walked into 'Addicted To Audio Adelaide' just looking for a portable speaker, but Lewis quickly turned that simple quest into an audio masterclass. He introduced me to home speaker setups that completely redefined my understanding of music. The knowledge I thought I had was embarrassingly limited compared to what they revealed. It felt like an epic journey through sound, and words can't do justice to the experience. All I know is that I’ll need to come back with about 80 grand—or perhaps just follow through on my first idea.Huge thanks to the team! From now on, any audio-related decisions I make in Adelaide will go through 'Addicted To Audio Adelaide'.

Christopher Toohey: I recently purchased a naim power supply from Addicted to Audio. I dealt with Lewi Thompson and had the most amazing customer centric experience I have ever had. I was inadvertently promised a deal that didn't apply to NZ by another sales person. Lewi contacted the marketing manager and they agreed to honour the original deal. I didn't expect that but was really pleased. The communication was outstanding. The payment went through on Monday morning. The goods arrived at my address in NZ Tuesday afternoon from Brisbane Australia. How is that even possible!! A big shout out to DHL who were equally outstanding with constant delivery updates. Lee and Trev Clyma: Blackwood Sound go above and beyond! I already have a sound system bought years ago from a now defunct retailer. But after selling my last home, including the outdoor speakers connected to my system, I needed replacements. Brett was extremely accommodating of this time-poor customer, who couldn't make it into the store. All contact was via email & phone. Brett nabbed the last available pair of speakers in Australia and ensured I received them in time for a party to be held at home, as well as advising on the need for a separate amp to power the speakers. The sound was amazing and everyone was impressed with the speakers. When my existing system needs an upgrade, I will be going nowhere but Blackwood Sound - no question. Thanks guys.

James Ryan: This is a fantastic example of local business and incredible talent coming together to offer great products.I find it incredibly difficult to stop myself from upgrading to Edwards speakers. I am currently making my 4th purchase from Edward. I've progressively upgraded all my audio spaces with his speakers and find them truly incredible value.I'm running the Summoner 1093sqtl with the denafrips iris and ares 12th, audio lab 8300a, and DMP a6 as a flagship set up. The clarity and soundstage the Summoner's provide allow that system to excel, that being nearly $5k of highly regarded equipment before the speakers; which are only a fraction of that cost. I also have the woodfox 823sqtl in the shed with the 1025stl sub. Recently, I've ordered the m823sql and another 1025stl sub for the tv as I'm moving up the flagship set up to a different room.As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of Edwards equipment. Not to mention the wood cabinets are very well made and look great. I highlyrecommend talking with Edward and demoing his speakers if you can.Please keep up the great work mate!

Not much else to say other than you’re dealing with someone who knows his stuff, doesn’t need the backing of a big brand name and you’re getting quality bespoke speakers from qualified tradespeople direct to customer.
Andrew Mott: Sold my fantastic 10 year old floor standing Ascension Summoners.Built a pair of M6125TLmonitors sold as a kit from Edward with upgraded tweeters.I'm absolutely blown away by the clarity, detail and transparency. The voices and natural sound is astounding.This is compared to my very highly rated GR Research XLS Encores I built last year.I was not prepared for this much of an improvement!To my ears, these are world class monitors.

His answer from many many years of expertise was "because it's not needed" and that saved me thousands!I would liken the sound of the Artisan's as a highly balanced, crisp but not harsh, airy top end and beautifully clear mids, with highly controlled bass. They're an immersive and quality floorstander which to my ears sound like the $20k entry level 800 series B&W speakers... The height, width and depth achieved with the Artisan's especially once you play around with their positioning I got the best results about 3 feet off the wall

He made some modifications to the cabinets and installed some tweeters, both of which improved the sound dramatically. And it was very affordable. Highly recommended. We are very lucky to have this sort of expertise in Adelaide.

They go low and they go loud.So loud that you should:- Consider what your walls and foundation is made of if you decide to go for the larger drivers. You want larger drivers.- Choose the size of the living space based on the size of your speakers and not your speakers based on the size of the living space.

There I met Andrew and he suggested a network receiver, CD player and speakers based on my needs. Andrew spent a reasonable amount of time explaining the pros and cons of what was available and I walked away with a very competitive quote. I then spent a number of hours on the internet searching for alternative suppliers around Australia, but I couldn't beat Andrew's quote. So I placed an order with Vision Hi Fi and after setting up the audio system at home I am now very pleased with what I have. I would recommend that you visit their showroom and at least ask for a quote for what you are after - you won't regret it. Cheers.

Josh Strike: They have a great selection of equipment here, as well as the best price for the amp I bought.I decided to get some picks as well, and the staff steered me towards the mixed bag of light/medium gauges and away from the medium/heavy I was looking at. On fronting up to Challenge Hi-Fi , I was expecting to receive some initial advice to think about . I go online and order elsewhere for really high end stuff but for everyday tools such as microphones, mic clips, mic stands, audio interfaces, synths etc they are very convenient. Lee Logins: I have taken my European SUV to GT audio sound to be upgraded from the bog stock ordinary stereo the guys at GT audiosound have surpassed my expectations on both occasions first time was to upgrade to focal speakers second time was to put a focal amplifier in the vehicle both times I was super impressed with the quality of workmanship and the attention to detail and the percentage of change has always been 50% or more improvement over what I had before I started I can't say enough about the workmanship and the quality of these gentlemen I would highly recommend you if you have a European SUV to get it upgraded with these guys.
