The Henley Sailing Club currently has limited storage facilities for its learn to sail equipment, currently we have WindSUPs in the Men’s change rooms and difficulties accessing boats in the storage sheds without moving heavy equipment, such as tractors and a RHIB. · Read more

Our Junior and Youth Development Programs are conducted to introduce new children and families to the sport of sailing and also to develop and enhance the skills of those who are already involved in our sport. The club has a fleet of Optimist dinghies that are used by our instructors to take children afloat and experience and learn to sail.


We would like to use this fundraising initiative to continue to be able supply sailing and safety equipment and provide for continued and improved training facilities. Largs Bay Sailing Club is a community based, volunteer run Sailing Club. The club conducts summer Saturday sailing competitions for all ages and skill levels and all dinghy, catamaran and trailerable yacht classes. We have a strong focus on junior training for those new to sailing and youth coaching for sailors wanting to improve their skills. The club also regularly hosts National and State Championship Regattas for Australian Class Associations.

In mid-February 2020 our Race Committee Boat burst into flames and was destroyed by fire when it was being launched. We suspect the fire was caused by a fuel leak or an electrical fault under the floor boards. Fortunately our club volunteers evacuated straight away and were not injured.

4worldlovers: Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club (BSYC) is one of Adelaide’s leading sailing clubs. More than just a yacht club, we are a function centre, a sailing and aquatics school and a community focus area with two bars and a bistro. People of all ages and backgrounds feel at home in BSYC where there is something for everyone.

The Windsurfer LT is a single handed sailboard class sailed by all ages. Based on the original one design windsurfer from the 70s the new board is composite epoxy and therefore lighter, stiffer and faster! The class is growing quickly with more than 10 racing most Saturdays.

BSYC offers courses for Adults and kids. Our Adult courses are held on weekends and are recognised nationally. A great way to start out sailing and enjoy our club.

BSYC is home to a mix of dinghies suitable for sailors of all ages and standards. Members are sailing high performance international classes such as the two man 505 and the single hander Contender.

Youth Coaching takes place at BSYC on most Saturday mornings throughout the season. Young sailors start off in our extremely popular Tackers classes before moving to Green Fleet in the singlehanded Optimist Dinghy.
