All our horses are kitted out in quality saddles and equipment from Bonnetts Saddleworld to make your ride safe and comfortable. We want to make your whole experience of learning to ride fun, safe and educational.

The workshops let you get your hands dirty and really feel what it’s like to own your own horse for a day.

I have been teaching and coaching over 20 years now and I have a passion for it.

I now coach competition riders, but I still have a passion for seeing children and adults learning the wonders of riding a horse and the amazing feeling you get when you connect with another animal. This is why I decided to open the gates to Kirby Park and my rider training system so everyone could feel what it is like to ride and connect with a horse.

The Megan Jones Riding School offers a range of horse riding lessons given by qualified and experienced horse riding instructors led by South Australian Olympic Silver Medallist, Megan Jones.

We are in the Adelaide Hills at beautiful Hahndorf, less than 30 minutes up the freeway from Adelaide CBD.

The Riding School is part of the 100 acre training facility and horse breeding stud – Kirby Park Stud.

We have a large team of gorgeous horses and ponies which will suit all levels of rider from beginner to advanced riders.

Our qualified horse riding instructors will find a horse or pony which is perfectly matched to your riding experience. Beginners especially are sure to fall in love with their horses soon after they get to know each other!

We want you to be confident and relaxed with your horse so that your riding lessons will give you the best chance to learn to ride quickly, improve your riding skills and gain confidence on horseback.

Remember, our team of horses are experienced and well educated as school mounts and are handpicked for their gentle nature and rideability.

Of course if you have your own horse and would like to ride with an instructor or trainer, we can accommodate you.

If you have never ridden a horse before or if you want to get back on horseback after a break or even if you are an experienced rider wanting to improve your horse riding skills or begin your dressage or jumping training – it is time to pull on your riding boots, get in the saddle and take the reins!

At the Kirby Park Stud property we have three well surfaced arenas and a full show jump course.

Ready, Set, Trot: $120. Duration 2 hours of riding and horse management education.

Lessons must be paid for when booking. Lessons may be bought in blocks of 5 and are valid for up to 12 months.

24 hours notice is required for cancellations, no refund of fees paid.

More Than a Riding School – Workshops, Trail Rides, Gymkhanas, Corporate Days

The Riding School offers more than just learn to ride classes. Apart from group or private horse riding lessons the school also offers school holiday workshops, saddle club and trail rides.

The Megan Jones Riding School also offers equestrian Birthday Parties or other special occasion equestrian events , even corporate team building can be accommodated for.

All our riding school lessons, trail rides and other equestrian events are held at the glorious Kirby Park facility in rolling hills surrounded by beautiful gum trees at this 100 acre property.

Our facilities for horseback riding, riding lessons, cross country riding, trail rides and horse jumping are unmatched in Adelaide and South Australia.

Duke: 16.1hh 10 year old brown gelding, Duke is a well educated dressage mount, competed up to Elementary, trained to Medium level with a lovely temperament and a rocking chair canter.

4worldlovers: Templewood Horse Riding Centre is situated on 200 acres in the Adelaide Hills 45 minutes from the CBD and 15 minutes from Tea Tree Gully. Take a break from your busy life style and relax, unwind and enjoy our beautiful open spaces and stunning scenery.

Riders of all ages are welcome at Templewood – from tiny tots to retirees, we have a junior school of ponies and and senior school of horses. Beginner riders right through to competition level are catered for and you don’t need you own horse!

Templewood is a haven where riders can feel comfortable by way of a safe environment, wonderful horses and friendly, understanding professional staff.

The centre has been operating over fifty years owned and managed by the same family with an enviable safety record. Children from overseas and interstate as well as local pupils have been enjoying these wonderful courses and making lasting friendships in this wholesome and friendly environment. Experienced and caring staff are chosen to ensure you are well looked after at all times.
