Bar Peripheral: what do users think?

Bane Williams: Listen, I don’t usually do this whole “love letter to a bar” thing. It’s just not my style. But Bar Peripheral, well, that place is different. It’s like stepping into a speakeasy in a forgotten dream. You feel this
magic, this weird vibe like the world’s running on a secret clock, a clock that understands that knowledge and passion are the only currencies worth a damn. The truth is, I’ve spent more time in that dark corner of the world than I’d care to admit. You’re never too far away from its siren call, that little voice in the back of your head whispering, “Hey, you want a good time? Go to Peripheral. You know you do.” The shelves are stacked with every damn bottle under the sun, and you get the feeling that every single one of them has a story, a reason for being there. You know, it’s like learning a language, not one you’d find in a textbook. Each drink is a conversation. Those behind the bar, they’re getting to know you, and you’re getting to know them. It’s this beautiful exchange, you both come away a little richer for it.Don’t get me wrong, the drinks are phenomenal. But we’ve all had those “exceptional cocktail” reviews. I’m talking about something deeper. This place, it challenges you. It throws you a curveball, something you’d normally scoff at, and then
bam! It changes you. I used to be one of those “no rum” guys. Couldn’t stomach it, not even in the most dedicated rum bar. But at Bar Peripheral, I told Vini, quite simply “I don’t like rum.” and that mischievous glint in his eyes, well, by the end of the night, I was eating my words. In the food scene, we talk about “cook’s eats” – places where cooks can just relax and enjoy a good meal. If there where "chef's drinks" this would be it. Dark, quiet, intimate, eccentric, a bit cheeky, and definitely, definitely not for everyone. A place to remove yourself from bright lights, loud noise, and constant visual clutter. Somewhere where after a few moments, the whole world melts away and you are just there, able to sit and relax and truly just 'enjoy'. A place that leaves you with a smile on your face and treasured memories. That, my friends, is exactly why it’s so damn special.

Jeremy Shapiro: Simply incredible - don’t want to detract from the experience by sharing too much
enough to say this was the best bar experience I have had. Vini - you are a true master of your art. No drinks menu ? That freaked me out initially but run with it - let Vini know what you like and what you want
great value, great service - a night to remember

Lily Matas: Nineteen Ten in Adelaide's CBD is an absolute delight! As a retired hospitality worker, I truly appreciate seeing staff who not only enjoy their work but also create an inviting and positive atmosphere. Tom, who served me, showcased exceptional bartending skills along with a friendly smile and charm. The burlesque show was fantastic—engaging and interactive, which really enhanced the excitement of the evening. As a lover of dance, the performers personally convinced me to try burlesque myself. Their energy and charisma were truly inspiring, and their performances left me eager to explore this art form further. The surprise of a rooftop pool, used creatively in the performances, added a unique touch. The live music was lively and fun, with audience participation encouraged, which made the experience even more enjoyable.Plus, the luxurious lift to the rooftop was a nice touch that set this venue apart from the usual. Highly recommend Nineteen Ten for a memorable and fun night out!

Tiago Nogueira: Atmosphere: 5/5

Great roof top views, an intimate seating area around a small swimming pool, lots of attention to small details, exceptional table service, great cocktails, including pacers and mocktails. We definitely plan on making it a regular haunt!

Christy Gower: Always a fun night at nineteen ten, great resident dancers. The speciality shows are always amazing with talented performers. Craig Matchett: place in the heart of Adelaide. Service was great. Pizza lovely, steak 100% tasty! The bar man forgot to put my order through as he thought I was waiting for my wife

Carmel Slice: An evening at the Black Bull—where good times and hearty meals abound! Booking ahead is wise, for this place draws a crowd eager for its delights. Now, onto the stars of the show: the steaks! Two brave souls tackled the mighty 500-gram steaks, while a third dared to conquer the legendary kilo steak—all cooked to perfection, fulfilling carnivorous dreams with every tender, juicy bite. And as if that weren't enough, desserts beckoned, providing a sweet finale to an evening of culinary conquests.Throughout it all, the staff's warmth and friendliness added to the charm, ensuring your dining experience was as delightful as the food itself. So, mark my words: a return visit to the Black Bull is not just a suggestion—it's a delicious promise waiting to be fulfilled!

Ian Stevenson: Great fun! Everyone there had a blast

Janaina Carvalho Lopes: Awesome place! I felt like a rock star!! The stage is very cool and modern!! They also have some music instruments to make more fun! The place is nice and modern with a fun decor! Service is very good and the staff is nice and happy. It is a small place but with lots of seating area in the balcony. The music menu is out of the internet so you can sing almost anything, even in other languages. They have a tablet available so you can search and pick your song. Had a birthday party there and everybody loved!

Tony Hubb: A great night out: singing and having drinks with friends.

Cheryl Monkhouse: Had the best time there the other night! The staff are great and the song and drink selection solid.

Samantha Rocha: It is a great venue for having Birthday party and Hens party, also for people who love singing for a crowd! Amazing song equipment and variety of song. I would definitely recommend it!

Caio Carrillo: This place is awesome... it is the best karaoke I’ve ever been with excellent song equipment and great customer service!!!

Super Kiwi: Really nice, friendly and welcoming staff. Doesn't matter if you are staying at the Intercontinental or not. Didnt get all our drink orders correctly, but they all tasted great and at fair prices. Thank you!Lovely live music on 19 July 2024, if someone can reply with the performer that would be fantastic

Matt Stevenson: Some nice drinks and dessert. All is as expected for a 5 star hotel bar

Sheena Awine: Amazing cocktails and great service.

Shonali wadhawan: The best butter chicken i have ever had, i came with my daughter, the service was amazing, the staff welcomed us nicely giving my daughter coloring book to play with, the food was yumm!

Robert L: The Atrium Lounge offers a decent variety of food and alcoholic beverages to enjoy with lunch or dinner. Few of us ordered few different dishes and mine was the butter chicken. This review is based on everything we ordered, the tacos were great and the cocktails were delicious. Now the butter chicken was very average, the sauce was okay, the rice was bland but the chicken was cooked perfectly. The prices are steep here but that's a standard when you go to and stay at an expensive hotel.

i Darts Adelaide: what do users think?

Keith Templar: I went to idarts via a recommendation from my friend and wow this place is something special. i Darts is the only place in Adelaide that has Dartslive 2 which is an electronic dartboard with all different types of game modes like 01, count up, cricket and some fun and wacky party games. you can play by yourself or go with a bunch of friends which is what I did when I recently visited. As far as gameplay goes believe the hype this is the most fun you'll have playing darts whether you've never played before or are a veteran of the game. There are plenty of cabinets so if you have groups you can play with multiple groups at the same time, also you can buy an ic card to save your scores if you want to keep playing which I highly recommend and also buy your own set of darts as well, just be aware that you will need to use soft tip darts if you want to bring some from home. There are also karaoke rooms with boards in them so if you want to do karaoke you have that option as well, the menu has a good variety and the drinks are solid. Overall it's a great place to hang out and playing with my friends there was awesome, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Jude Hunter: Been a fan of the prestigious Idarts for many months now, finally got my mates to come out and experience the holy venue. The Idarts mango colada is possibly the greatest alcoholic beverage ever created, it hits different.Darts are pretty fun, got rolled in Yum Yum and Survivor which sucked. Didn't get to sling some J-pop on the karaoke deck but will do next time.Do yourself a big favour, go get some DingHao before hand to complete the elusive Ding and Darts experience. 10/10 Recommend

Kyle Ware: If you need somewhere to go do something fun in town and you’re at a loss this is the place to go.Saved the mood of a work get together for me a couple times now.Yippee!

Rhys Moult: Love that this iconic Adelaide institution supports local music talent. The Semaphore Workers Club hosted the University of Adelaide Elder Conservatory of Music Big Band who played some classic big band tunes. The drinks were cheap - $8 Coopers stubbies and they had cheap food too with $6 cheese toasties and $6 homemade soup.A great atmosphere, quirky and historic communist propaganda, full sized free snooker tables and homely furnishings make for a great night out with friends.

Hains has decent cocktails but nothing stood out for me personally. The Smuggler’s Soul cocktail was my fav among the ones I tried.Overall a decent bar which is worth a visit.

Jacopo Guidone: Beautiful bar in the main center of Adelaide , good cocktails and especially nice the signatures one . The bartender was friendly and recommend my girlfriend a cocktails that she really like .Ps : Maybe could just improve by adding some more tequilas in the menu .

Paulii: It's not often a themed bar gets it right but Bibliotheca is on point. It's a cosy, tucked away bar with a definitive library feel. My friend and I got a cocktail each, The Drink That Shall Not Be Named and The Golden Ticket. Both of these were incredible, as was the service. Our bartender knew her stuff and correctly chose our drinks to suit us when we asked for help. I also enjoyed perusing all the secondhand books on the shelves and the traditional green library lamps scattered around the room. Really want to go back with friends because this is a place I want to show off, especially as an avid book lover.

Fiona Putt: Great little spot with awesome cocktails

melissa Gent: he not only has amazing service but nearly two years ago he helped me by calling an ambulance for my son when he had a medical emergency. Ever since that whenever we have seen him he has always been amazing and remembered both my partner and I and always asks how my son is doing.

Everything we discussed regarding the event was actioned. The staff on the evening were fantastic. Everything went to plan and our guests absolutely loved the evening. They were raving about the venue and 'the vibe'. The retro pieces of furniture and the cool artwork added an extra touch to the venue. The long bar bench was perfect for a grazing platter too. There was ample seating for those that wanted to chill out and plenty of room for dancing too. Every aspect of the venue and the event was perfection. Thank you Rachel and the team.
