Kelly Holloman: A lovely destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features diverse wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, which are a highlight. The walking trails are pleasant, though some could benefit from better signage. The views from certain points are quite nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are adequate, with clean restrooms and picnic areas. It’s a great place for a relaxed day trip, but if you’re looking for more challenging hikes, you might find the trails here a bit easy. Overall, it's a solid choice for a nature getaway.

Brian LeBlanc: Cleland National Park is a good spot for nature lovers. The trails are straightforward and offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. Seeing native wildlife is a nice touch, though it can get a bit crowded during peak times. Facilities are basic but sufficient for a day trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for a local nature experience, but don’t expect solitude during busy periods.

Marian Kelly: Amazing place, loved getting up close to the animals.

Krystina Ebsary: I took my children here for a family day out. They all had an amazing time and loved the snake holding experience. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Liisa Grace Baun: Excellent hiking trail with stunning scenic views. There are plenty of rest stops along the way from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. While some parts are steep, they don't last long.

Lillian Pais: Nature at its best

Long Vu: Fresh air, very nice park with Kangaroo, Koala and other Aussie animals, nice experience for family with kids. Recommend to spend about 90mins here on the trip to Hahndorf

Lukas: Short trail, but with lots of beautiful Scenery!

Dr phil Phil: Very relaxing and maintained

Franca N: Back to nature with this walking trail. Narrow paths for the kilometre walk amongst nature. Gets the heart pumping

Rachel Kelly: Beautiful spring trail , great from beginners

Janos Veresbaranji: We already visited a couple of times. It is a mostly easy short circuit walk through dry shrub, woodland, clearings, along a creek and rocky outcrops. One of the few places where plants survive having their name displayed. The birds are around where the brochure quoted them but they have a habit of perching against the sun. At least the flowers can't fly away.Edit: Different time of the year, different flowers

Lizz Swarbrick: Always a lovely walk with much to see, lovely picnic area by the creek and well maintained trails.

Julienne Webb: A beautiful, peaceful walk.

Hexcrafts: Really nice walk

Daniel Oors: Great place for a walk. Not too difficult to navigate, the paths are very visible but are a little narrow. Not overly steep however I just followed the Rockdale trail to the quarry where the track ends. A little bit of history to read in the car park as well. No public toilets though, so make sure you go before you leave or you might need to get close to a tree or a bush.

Anonymous Alice: Love it here. Always go for a walk here when I'm in SA. Most recently discoved mushrooms growing here, which was unusual since I've never seen them growing there before.Previously I have seen two quince trees around the entrance, full of fruit and I picked a few and put them to good use.Another highlight for me is the abundance of blackberries growing. I collected a good bucket full of blackberries and made a pie and some blackberry jam. Very prickly though so be careful... Check how the leaves are looking as sometimes the council will poison them off so do be wary.

Mel Kluge: Very quiet walk, not at all busy, unfortunately no dogs allowed.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Daniel Hurt: took us 1.5 hours exactly and we took a couple of breaks. We’re reasonable quick walker though- so allow a little more time.No dogs.Picked a few blackberries too- but make sure there’s been no spraying in the area before you do this.

Danni: Really enjoy this hike for its challenges in which involved climbing up rocks during parts of the trail and having to navigate your steps on some of the paths due to the rocks, crevasse and the narrowness. I found this fun and felt very accomplished once complete. This hike is NOT for those that cannot climb or have trouble on there feet, the hike it self has alot of areas with lose rocks, sand that is slippery, inclines, narrow walk ways, rocks that require climbing up or down. Some paths can be difficult to follow if you do not keep a look out for the signs so be sure to watch for the signs and read carefully. It can be very isolated out there and there is little phone reception.Good for those experienced. Also may mention, there is a sign that advices to not touch a certain flower as it is a weed nd spreads easily through seeds that attach to clothes however as the track is so un-maintenanced, this weed is every where, it is garenteed to be touched during the hike.Female. 26.

T C: Wonderful quite place to have some clam time amidst the woods listening to the birds chirping.

Zane D-J: Wasn't expecting the hike to be as difficult as it was but it was a challenge well earned in the end. Not many people.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Adrian Kirkby: What a fantastic playground for the kids, can't wait to go back! The kids loved it!

Beat Odermatt: One of the best places around Adelaide to walk or to use a bike. Sadly some of the walking areas become overgrown with weeds especially during spring month. The area is used by dozens of walkers and bicycle riders.Extensive tracks are suitable walking, hiking, jogging, cycling and horse riding. Some of the tracks in the southwestern area are made exclusively for mountain bikes. The majority of tracks are shared between hikers and bicycle riders. Most of the the trees in the park were planted by volunteers during the last few decades. Wildlife including Kangaroos and Koalas are slowly returning to the area. The area is still overgrown with introduced weeds and attempts to enhance the biodiversity have been haphazard and sporadic. Most of the hard work such as planting trees and eradicating feral olives was carried out by a small group of dedicated hard working volunteers. It is a great achievement to have a large area of land set aside for recreation and for native fauna and flora so close to a major city. The recreation park has been integrated into a new Glenthorne National Park.

Gaurav Peters: Outstanding Experience

sayvar44: I used to camp on top of the hill in Glenthorne years ago when it was allowed, the views over the CBD and the ocean are stunning! Rumour has it there is a small opening somewhere in the park that opens up into a large cavernous cave that was dug out for mining then abandoned?.Recommended activities Hiking …

陳劭威: We can see koala and also hiking with low challenge levels

Purni Samayamanthri: Versatile hiking trail, as it offers steep stepped clombs and flat walking trails. Stunning views across Adelaide along the way at lookout points. Seating and picnic facilities provided along the trail. Historic information about the trail is provided on posters located along the trail. A great workout for a passionate hiker.

Aryan Alavi: We went on a rainy day, so didn’t have the view others wrote about, but was still absolutely beautiful with the fog and nature around us.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Frankie Boy: Wonderful walk, highly recommended. Amazing views and uplifting. Consider doing a figure 8 walk by following the Waite Loop clockwise until meeting the Sheoak Loop, and then do the Sheoak Loop counterclockwise before continuing the Waite Loop clockwise. Works out between 7-8 kms and can be easily done in under 2 hours with stops. This is one of my favourite walks in Adelaide. There is a car park available on the last road to the right when in the Waite campus, plenty of parking available on the weekend when we went.

Val Kraken (ValKraken): Best reserve in terms of views out of all East of the city

Jared Castle: One of the best sweeping panoramic views of Adelaide and the adjacent Adelaide Hills from the top of Brown Hill. Diverse flora walking through adjacent Carrick Hill and the Waite Loop. Highly recommended.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Lala: Hiking the short trail was awesome, only about an hour! The greeeeee a and peaceful vibe were so refreshing. And let's talk about the sunset – absolutely stunning! From the top, you can see all of Adelaide, plus the beach and even airplanes landing. It's a must-do for a quick nature escape with breathtaking views. Never hike alone okay! Always call a friend for good photo ops 😊

Rishab Kohli: Did the Waite loop, Lovely hike, steep going up clockwise and then pretty smooth. Nice benches on the top for rest overlooking the city.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Nicole Lehmeyer: Many animals - birds, butterflies, kangas and even an echidna! Loved the native Australian flora and fauna, however I shall note the swing is no longer there. Swings are now prohibited. Lovely walk at sunset though, would definitely recommend!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Gary Grezeszak: It's a nice sunset spot. Easy to follow. Regular running shoes are fine. The signs say the public is welcome to enter. Although, while hiking new signs were placed saying do not enter shooting in progress. I didn't hear any shooting. But, it seems hikes in the area might be a better choice.

Ruth Cordova: Great hiking and view of the city. I did the loop and it took 1 hour.

DANIEL WORDEN: Awesome view after you recover from the heart attack ya get for climbing the valley.

Ren Xiaoan: The place is quite nice, but the very steep. It is great experience. The nice swing is no longer there if you would like to visit the swing. The view on the top of the hills is great and excellent. It is worthwhile to visit!Visited on Public holiday …

Janos Veresbaranji: Always a pleasant walk.December edit: The outback ducks are back, I've seen the Freckled Duck here for the first time.We have been visiting these wetlands for years. The trees and shrubs matured and now look like they been here forever. Whoever is doing the upkeep they are doing an excellent job.The bird population changes season to season and year on year. A couple of years ago when there was a widespread dust storm the outback ducks discovered Laratinga and they are maintaining their presence ever since. I have just posted photos of Australian Shoveler. Pink eared ducks are around the water treatment ponds, you can see them through the fence. There are some interesting vagrants every time we visit. This weekend it was the Blue billed duck, photo posted. Chestnut and Grey teals seem to be residents.Clamorous read warblers were out in the open posing for photos.I am looking forward to our next visit.
