Cleland Conservation Park: what do users think?

Kelly Holloman: A lovely destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features diverse wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, which are a highlight. The walking trails are pleasant, though some could benefit from better signage. The views from certain points are quite nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are adequate, with clean restrooms and picnic areas. It’s a great place for a relaxed day trip, but if you’re looking for more challenging hikes, you might find the trails here a bit easy. Overall, it's a solid choice for a nature getaway.

Brian LeBlanc: Cleland National Park is a good spot for nature lovers. The trails are straightforward and offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. Seeing native wildlife is a nice touch, though it can get a bit crowded during peak times. Facilities are basic but sufficient for a day trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for a local nature experience, but don’t expect solitude during busy periods.

Marian Kelly: Amazing place, loved getting up close to the animals.

Krystina Ebsary: I took my children here for a family day out. They all had an amazing time and loved the snake holding experience. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Liisa Grace Baun: Excellent hiking trail with stunning scenic views. There are plenty of rest stops along the way from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. While some parts are steep, they don't last long.

Lillian Pais: Nature at its best

Long Vu: Fresh air, very nice park with Kangaroo, Koala and other Aussie animals, nice experience for family with kids. Recommend to spend about 90mins here on the trip to Hahndorf

Karin S.: The Barker Inlet Wetlands are situated 12km northwest of the Adelaide CBD, near Wingfield and adjacent to the Salisbury Highway. The Wetlands span 172 hectares and can hold a maximum water capacity of 1200 megalitres –equivalent to more than 500 Olympic swimming pools.Initially constructed to address various environmental impacts in the region and create a habitat for wildlife, the construction of the Barker Inlet Wetlands commenced in 1994, funded by the Commonwealth Government. In 1998, the Wetlands were officially handed over to the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.

The English explanations are also explained in an easy to understand manner, making it easy to read. It's nice that the land is large haha. It's almost as big as a transplanted wild place.I totally recommend it!

Janos Veresbaranji: Always a pleasant walk.December edit: The outback ducks are back, I've seen the Freckled Duck here for the first time.We have been visiting these wetlands for years. The trees and shrubs matured and now look like they been here forever. Whoever is doing the upkeep they are doing an excellent job.The bird population changes season to season and year on year. A couple of years ago when there was a widespread dust storm the outback ducks discovered Laratinga and they are maintaining their presence ever since. I have just posted photos of Australian Shoveler. Pink eared ducks are around the water treatment ponds, you can see them through the fence. There are some interesting vagrants every time we visit. This weekend it was the Blue billed duck, photo posted. Chestnut and Grey teals seem to be residents.Clamorous read warblers were out in the open posing for photos.I am looking forward to our next visit.

Adelaide Zoo: what do users think?

Jennifer Marshall: Sad history for this Zoo, especially for George the Orangatan and various incidents that occurred from its inception. There was a wide and varied display of animals in clean enclosures. Enclosures could be much larger but I understand it's hard when there's only a limited amount of Zoo property. Overall, the amenities were great, the staff were informative and polite and the entrance fees were reasonable.

Jonathan Hu: Happy birthday Wangwang and Funi! Proudly as a lifetime member of Adelaide Zoo, I booked a flight all the way from Sydney to Adelaide in the last week of August 2024 to celebrate their birthday before they go back to China. And the giant pandas definitely make Adelaide Zoo the best zoo in Australia! They are so cute and adorable! I’m even thinking about moving to Adelaide so that I can go here every one or two days. The other animals such as little blue penguins are lovely as well.
