Primus Pilus: I visited Medical One today for a Covid booster and was seen by the nurse within 5 minutes of my arrival.It was my 6th Covid vaccination and previously I had never had an adverse reaction.Unfortunately, I felt very unwell 5 minutes after the vaccination and was immediately attended to by two nurses.I was hooked up to an ECG machine and my temperature, heart rate, blood pressure and blood sugar were monitored.Dr Antony Madelle quickly assessed me and put an airway kit on standby in case of anaphylaxis.I was constantly monitored by the two nurses and Dr Madelle for over two hours until my condition stabilised.I cannot speak highly enough about the expert care and compassion I received from Dr Madelle and the wonderful nurses.I wouldn't have received better care in a hospital emergency department considering the current crisis in this State.

A/P Saad received her NHMRC-sponsored PhD degree in Cancer Genetics from Melbourne University and Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute.
Along with her teaching and research roles, A/P Saad is a registered medical practitioner with AHPRA, a Chemical Pathology Fellow (FRCPA) at the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and a Member of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists (MAACB). She is a Chair of the RCPA Chemical Pathology Advisory Committee, a Member of the RCPA Genetic Advisory Committee, AACB, and a Chair of the Precision Medicine Services at Australian Clinical Labs.
At Clinical Labs, A/Prof Mirette Saad leads the Molecular Genetic testing for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), antenatal screening, personalised drug therapy, and cancer.

It was prefixed by the "Royal" in 1939. In 2017 it was replaced by the new hospital, built at the western end of North Terrace. The new hospital is the most expensive building[1] ever built in Australia, and the most expensive hospital[2] ever built anywhere in the world, at US$2.44 billion in construction and equipment costs.
