Candice Scholz: To future patients, I found finding a surgeon really difficult. I had previously had breast augmentation 10 years ago instead of having a lift and was unfortunate to have a rupture. I tried going through the public system to have the implants removed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and found myself in great pain for 7 months waiting and didn’t have my name called. I reached out to many private surgeons to find them saying they had long waiting lists and couldn’t help me even though I was in pain and my reason wasn’t cosmetic. Until I finally came across Dr Margaret Anderson. It was so relieving to find them companionate to my situation and they booked me in straight away for a consultation to see what was happening. On the first appointment Dr Margaret said she couldn’t believe that I had been waiting in pain for so long and that no one had helped me. She within minutes assured me she would help me going though all my medical history and found out that I was also suffering from breast implant sickness. I had been to many doctors over the last 8 years and had many symptoms that pointed to breast implant sickness and no one had ever put two together. I was booked into an appointment for surgery shortly after my first appointment and had my breast implants removed. My scars are amazing, better than the first surgery that I had to put them in. I can’t compliment her work enough, she made me feel comfortable in every way. When I was under, she when above and beyond her duty as she thought I may have had Lymphoma due to what she had seen while in surgery. She did the necessary surgery to ensure all was done so I would be Lymphoma free. Even using special drainage tubes to get higher in my chest. The tests came back and I am very lucky to be healthy. The previous surgeons that I had gone to for a consultation wouldn’t touch me as they also assumed there was something else going on due to the fluid/swelling in my breast. I am now fully recovered and all my symptoms of breast implant sickness that was making me very ill have gone. I am so grateful to Dr Margaret Anderson and her amazing staff. Especially Nicola for helping me though my stressful situation. If you are ever thinking of getting any work done, take it from me. Dr Margaret Anderson is the surgeon for you. She wont do anything she doesn’t feel isn’t right. I was trying to find a surgeon to remove the implant and do a lift at the same time as many surgeons will do this. I had a few say they would but had a 1year long waiting list. Dr Margret said NO, that it’s not best for me. I was trying to save money on the theatre costs of doing both surgery in one. She explained that you couldn’t predict the shrinkage and I wouldn’t get the best outcome. After having the implants remove my breasts are great, I thought for sure I would need the extra surgery, this was also the opinion of 3 other doctors. I have not needed this extra surgery, they have shrunk and I look fantastic.Again, thank you Dr Margaret Anderson, I will make sure to tell anyone I know to come see you. You really are a life changer 😊

I had a breast augmentation surgery overseas a year ago due to a genetic imperfection, it was a terrible experience, the results were not what I wanted, however I decided to continue my life. Until I started to have pain in one of my breasts, it also looked different from the other I went an ultrasound and they diagnosed that one of the implants was broken, a situation that caused me great stress because my surgery was performed a year ago. Very sad and worried, I started calling surgeons in Adelaide and no one had appointments available or they did not want to attend to my case because I was operated overseas. I finally contacted Dr Lam and explained my unfortunate situation, his stuff treated me very warmly, they made sure that I felt calm and listened to immediately, they put me on their list of priorities, I had surgery a week after my consultation, I was very scared, I didn't want to go to surgery again because I planned to have more babies this year and my wedding was planned for later months.
