It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a variety of attractions and activities for all ages and interests. Whether you are looking for a relaxing beach getaway, a family-friendly adventure, or a convenient base to explore Adelaide, Glenelg has something for everyone.

The seaside area is known for its beautiful white sandy beach, a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports (including kitesurfing).

It is generally safe to swim close to the beach in South Australia. Jelly-fish, sharks and other dangerous sea habitants are rare and usually monitored by the coastal patrol.

As a southern suburb of Adelaide, Glenelg is also a short drive away (35-50 minutes) from popular and amazing Moana & Aldinga beaches, Port Willunga Beach.
