The owners, John and Harri, are very friendly and will make you feel at home.     STEVEN GEORGE: Nice quaint little place.The interior is clean and cosy.The restaurant has all the amenities.Parking can be a little bit of a headache as there are not many spots to park on the main road,so you will have to park in the side streets close to Kefi.They have outdoor seating so great in the warmer months.Staff are very polite and friendly,I found them a little bit pushy,but they seem to be like that in most restaurants nowadays.The food is superb and plenty of it.I am a big eater,but don't let your eyes control your stomach,even the entrees are like a main meal.It doesn't matter that much anyway,as they allow you to take home what you don't eat,that's what my wife and i did.Cost is good especially considering the size of the courses.We have be going to Kefi for many years and will continue to do so,do yourself a favour and become part of their clientele you won't regret it,bon appetite.

    4worldlovers: George Benias, owner and head chef of Taverna Meganisi, accidentally migrated to Australia from Greece in 1964 when the merchant ship he was working on departed early from the port in Sydney. He was just 19 years-old.

    Left with nothing but the clothes on his body, no English and no money, he embarked on what would become a 54 year love affair with Australia.

    George grew up on a small Greek island called Meganisi, located in western Greece in the Ionian Sea, just off the coast of the larger island, Lefkada.

    He passed his days like most Greek kid’s did in the 1950’s- exploring the island, fishing and terrorising all the old people.

    John Blackstar: options in particular deserve a look in - the vegetarian members of my family that have become fans over the years.     Bernard Ash: Such an amazing, iconic fooderie in Henley Beach. Food and service is impeccable. I was actually there the time a previous reviewer let their kids rampage through the restaurant. It was embarrassing, the staff member was very soft with the kids and the parents just went nuts. If they were my kids they would have been disciplined not that they ever would do that. Fabulous "institution", if you're visiting it's a must try!

    Michelle Wong: Had the best pre-birthday dinner at Metro Oyster Bar. It was such an easy walk from our hotel to MOB. The food was absolutely delicious! Out tastebuds were having a party!!Freshly shucked oysters! So impressive! The oysters were so so fresh and tasty! Even got to try a jumbo pacific oyster! YUM! đŸ€€ We thenhad the MY platter to share! The calamari and meat was so tender and tasty and the prawns.. so sweet and delicious! Every bite was delicious!I’m so sad that I live in Melbourne and can’t visit all the time! Thanks Metro Oyster Bar, we enjoyed your service and recommendations!

    Katie Lin: are amazing. It was almost like I was in Greek having a real Greek feast/dinner. The staff are so kind and friendly making sure that we have a perfect and great night.Recommended food: Kil Patricks, Yiros, Pita bread with the trio dips, Chips, Christina Specials and one of my top favourites is dill salad!The dill salad is very healthy and delicious, I normally don’t like to eat salad but dill salad hits the spot! For anyone that doesn’t like garden salad, dill salad with to the trick because it has cucumber and chopped up salad into little bits also having a delicious dressing on top!Everyone must come to this restaurant because I’ve been many times before and it’s always my favourite Greek and dinner restaurant to enjoy with my family and friends.METRO OYSTER BAR IS THE BEST! YOU GUYS SHOULD COME AND TRY IT OUT!!

    Kevin Head: Was looking for a place for a quick bite to eat and came across the Metro oyster bar,I ordered a dozen Kilpatricks so fresh, the grilled octopus that just melted in my mouth,and the lamb Slovakia with chips and salad the lamb was so juicy and tender,the atmosphere was very welcoming and the waiters were very friendly and helpful,I will definitely be back and bring some mates with me definitely a 10 out of 10 experience,😃😃👍

All flavours taste good and my favourite are natural oyster with basil seasoning and volcano-I can still recall the spicy!!!!!!! Yummm!The service is great, staffs are friendly!It’s in my must visit list if I come back to Adelaide again.PS. The fish and chips is amazing too!     Robert Ardill: One of the better Oyster bars in Adelaide.Freshest oysters and awesome service. Bar is a bit hidden away but aren't most great finds like this now days. These guys have been wholesaling for 40+ years, so your going to have to travel to the farm to find fresher oysters.

    Kate Gilroy-Scott: Amazing service, we enjoyed the oysters kilpatrick, salt and pepper calamari both fresh and delicious definitely the best oysters we have had.
