Craig Matchett: place in the heart of Adelaide. Service was great. Pizza lovely, steak 100% tasty! The bar man forgot to put my order through as he thought I was waiting for my wife

Carmel Slice: An evening at the Black Bull—where good times and hearty meals abound! Booking ahead is wise, for this place draws a crowd eager for its delights. Now, onto the stars of the show: the steaks! Two brave souls tackled the mighty 500-gram steaks, while a third dared to conquer the legendary kilo steak—all cooked to perfection, fulfilling carnivorous dreams with every tender, juicy bite. And as if that weren't enough, desserts beckoned, providing a sweet finale to an evening of culinary conquests.Throughout it all, the staff's warmth and friendliness added to the charm, ensuring your dining experience was as delightful as the food itself. So, mark my words: a return visit to the Black Bull is not just a suggestion—it's a delicious promise waiting to be fulfilled!

David Gameau: Ordered beef parmy made with a bolognese sauce and cheeseFantasticRump steak cooked perfectly. Vegetables were a surpriseRoast carrots and parsnipsbroccoli and zucchini with a slice of red capsicumFantasticRecommend the mealsAlso, nice thick napkin was great. Not a cheap paper one 😊👍🏽

Soo Hin Yeoh: The site dates back to 1838 and is also known as oldest hotel in Adelaide but we were here for the steaks 🥩 and pale ale 🍺.Over the past 3 years, Chef Jacob van Eyk and his team have created a wonderful culinary menu of modern Australian grub and serve quality steaks! Love the steaks 👍🏼

Luke D: Was not playing Jive tunes

Chantelle TW: I love Jive. drinks are reasonably priced, lots of seating, lots of standing! when there’s a good sound guy you’ve got yourself a little haven for live music. a great intimate venue. nothing better. cheers guys

The Moseley Beach Club: what do users think?

KOBUS VAN WYK: The Moseley Beach Club on a sunny day is a dream come true. The white sand beach setting rivals any exotic location, offering the perfect spot to unwind with friends and family. Delicious food, refreshing cocktails, and a wide selection of wines create a delightful atmosphere. However, it's important to be aware that this idyllic spot can get quite crowded, so be prepared for potential wait times or snag a reservation if available.

Ronald Wisznia: It's not cheap but it's worth it, there is nothing like it in Adelaide and they are only open for a short time in summer time, it's definitely a go to place in summer I'm, I'd suggest booking a place in advance as they are almost always full, if you can get the beds they are such a chill, I would probably go there many more times I'm the future

richard searle: Great space on the beach..would be good if they served their drinks in chilled glasses.Warning ordering crispy prawns, they are whole.. head, shell, tail and legs..very messy feed.

Matt Brealey: Enjoyed a chilled beverage on the beach for our 23rd anniversary. Just a great place to chillax!Atmosphere: 5/5 …

Annabel Smith: Inclusive environment everyone looks out for each other the staff and security are friendly .The queens are really lovely to talk to and the numbers are exciting to watch . The only down side is the floor is sticky but you would expect that for a club.

Semaphore Workers Club: what do users think?

June Woolford: What a fabulous place! Great music, super friendly people all under a historic roof. Many interesting artifacts, affordable food and beverages and some great conversations to be had here. Check it out!

Rhys Moult: Love that this iconic Adelaide institution supports local music talent. The Semaphore Workers Club hosted the University of Adelaide Elder Conservatory of Music Big Band who played some classic big band tunes. The drinks were cheap - $8 Coopers stubbies and they had cheap food too with $6 cheese toasties and $6 homemade soup.A great atmosphere, quirky and historic communist propaganda, full sized free snooker tables and homely furnishings make for a great night out with friends.

Julie Dickenson: Live Adelaide music, welcoming large venue , informal atmosphere, showcasing our local talents. Cheap drinks and pool tables are available. It's quirky and fun.

Simon Kennedy: Awesome live music 🎶 venue 😎🎺🎸🥁 🎹🎷 .Some of the best blues and rock bands have played from around the Globe and the place really rocks.Every week, Friday night and Sunday evening, amazing bands, awesome musicians, good people, well priced drinks.A hidden gem for locals but everyone is welcome. All ages but the mature crowd is chilled, until the music starts 😁🍷 Dance floor rocks💃🏻🕺🏻

Shane Parker: Great spot for bands and billiards

Rachel Burchett: An excellent venue for live music in the north of Adelaide. Quirky decor, pool tables, good value drinks and great service from the staff. Fantastic bands and people always get up and dance. Sometimes they have a sausage sizzle or some other yummy bargain eats on the front porch. And don't forget the beautiful sea views from the beer garden out front. Lovely on a sunny Sunday summer afternoon!

Sam Johnson: Bloody awesome venue. Great music and great atmosphere

Richard Lea: I love the Semaphore Workers Club, great music and great atmosphere! I wish I still lived on the Coast so as to be closer.

Romeo Rigon: The team working at the club are very generous with their pours and kind words of support when my band The Fridaze have played there. Good value bbq and the curry I had was excellent. Good value. Club for the people

Massimo Salvatore: Great venueSaw the fallen saint's Great band highly recommended

Jon Bates: It's such a great place, haven't been for too long, really friendly people, excellent prices on everything.Spotless toilets, free snooker tables, great memorabilia, and art around the wallsWe saw a cream tribute band who were just astonishing!Highly recommended if you like live music, great prices and friendly people.

kaylah stower: I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! Both barmaid and chef making our food were lovely people. We got the burger and a pint for $20 which is their Saturday deal and oh.. my… honestly the best burger I’ve had in Australia since landing here a year ago. Ancient World: what do users think?

Jack Lastname: This place is magical. Highly recommended if you are alternative and/or queer. I came here for their UK Garage night with my current partner and we felt very safe and welcome to dance and be cute on the dance floor. You really feel that antisocial people are not welcome here, and thus do not come here. This is one of the best venues in all of Adelaide/Tarndanya.My only constructive note is that the toilets are a little gross 😅

Stephanie Sy: sanctuary for smelly artsy kids in adelaide. i would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

Stanislav Zakharov: Atmosphere: 5/5

Tim Stew: for about five years ancient world has been my go to bar in Adelaide. It's pretty good and it's variety of karaoke on a Wednesday and live music over the weekend. If you can catch ancient world on a night where they're bands you get really good, intimate performances and I feel like a lot of the bands really do produce their best material in ancient world band. Space some of the electronica can be a little bit hit and miss, but I'm more a rock 'n' roll fan myself, I would recommend ancient world on any bucket list of backpackers, interstate, and international people wanting to get a taste of what Adelaide underground scene is like on any given night Tuesday to SundayVegetarian options: Excellent scan that was vegetarian/vegan sausage sizzle better than Bunnings

Ian Stevenson: Great fun! Everyone there had a blast

Janaina Carvalho Lopes: Awesome place! I felt like a rock star!! The stage is very cool and modern!! They also have some music instruments to make more fun! The place is nice and modern with a fun decor! Service is very good and the staff is nice and happy. It is a small place but with lots of seating area in the balcony. The music menu is out of the internet so you can sing almost anything, even in other languages. They have a tablet available so you can search and pick your song. Lily Matas: Nineteen Ten in Adelaide's CBD is an absolute delight! As a retired hospitality worker, I truly appreciate seeing staff who not only enjoy their work but also create an inviting and positive atmosphere. Tom, who served me, showcased exceptional bartending skills along with a friendly smile and charm. The burlesque show was fantastic—engaging and interactive, which really enhanced the excitement of the evening. As a lover of dance, the performers personally convinced me to try burlesque myself. Their energy and charisma were truly inspiring, and their performances left me eager to explore this art form further. The surprise of a rooftop pool, used creatively in the performances, added a unique touch. The live music was lively and fun, with audience participation encouraged, which made the experience even more enjoyable.Plus, the luxurious lift to the rooftop was a nice touch that set this venue apart from the usual. Highly recommend Nineteen Ten for a memorable and fun night out!

Lorraine Brougham: My first visit was a beautiful atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly.Parking: Car park across the street. Very convenient and felt safe.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift to the top floor suitable for wheelchairs.

Dylan Cook: Went tonight for a fringe show and have to say it exceeded what my wife and I expected.Great service, wonderful gorgeous staff and a great drinks menu. Classy establishment and we would happily spend a Saturday night there.

sandra harris: My son had his engagement party at 1910 . Wow the staff were so lovely. The food which was finger food which keep on coming and was tasty. The children played in the pool while the adults chatted . Everyone had a great afternoon party and I really recommend this venue tucked away private and fun

Bec M: Coolest venue in the city! Been a couple of times for the Burlesque Saturday nights, and loved it both times. Great roof top views, an intimate seating area around a small swimming pool, lots of attention to small details, exceptional table service, great cocktails, including pacers and mocktails. We definitely plan on making it a regular haunt!

Christy Gower: Always a fun night at nineteen ten, great resident dancers. The speciality shows are always amazing with talented performers. The cocktail menu is always changing and they're always a hit. Inclusive entertainment where you can come as you are and have an awesome night. My absolute favourite venue in Adelaide for after dark fun 😍Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift

Iain McGregor: Great pub!Popped in before seeing a movie with the kids.Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We were served quickly, but it got quite busy before we left.Staff excellent, friendly and understanding towards three kids waiting for lunch.

julie sandford: A great hidden gem in Adelaide! We have dined here multiple times, great value for money and excellent service.I would highly recommend this for a cheeky catch up with friends or a meal with family .Added bonus is Kilkenny on tap!

alec tibbitts: The crumbed fish was huge and luckily, I had ordered one piece not two. The other meals people at the table had were the Thai red curry from the specials, the crispy chicken burger and the crumbed prawns. All of the meals were good. There is a wide selection of beers on taps, as there was before the renovation. I’m sure there are plenty of other drinks available too - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.As for the atmosphere, since the renovation, pretty much all surfaces are hard and although it wasn’t that busy, the noise was overwhelming. The music was quite load and patrons were having to shout to be heard. It was the one part of the night which really spoiled the experience.
