The Ballet/Tap was designed for children who have participated in early childhood development program previously and understand the teacher and student relationship. Ballet will be taught in a Fun and Friendly environment with the use of Ribbons, Hula Hoops, Wands and lots of imagination. Tap is lots of fun for the children to develop confidence and express themselves in a different style of dance. It is a lovely introduction to a more formal dance class in these genres and they work on a routine for each genre for the middle and end of year performances.
Our Ballet and Lyrical classes begin to look further into the specific terminology used in this genre. It is suitable for children coming from the Ballet/Tap class as well as beginners and intermediate skill levels. Flexibility and technique are also a focus, ensuring each student is achieving this in a manner that is safe for their bodies and understanding the purpose behind warming-up and using proper technique when dancing. We use a variety of traditional as well as modern music. The level of difficulty and expectations increase the older the age group as well as experience within the dancing community. We explore both the classical and contemporary genre in this class, working towards a routine for each genre for the middle and end of year performances.
Tap, is the next step for those students coming from the Ballet/Jazz/Tap special class as well as for beginners to the wonderful rhythmic world of Tap. We focus on introducing and developing tap techniques and terminology, mixing steps with traditional and modern musical rhythms. We still incorporate various props into class work, aiming to extend hand-eye co-ordination, rhythmic movement and overall balance and confidence in a safe and supportive manner. We work towards two routines for the middle and end of year performances.

I started with no experience and some trepidation but the format is very approachable and the lessons are easy to follow. The instructors are patient and welcoming and it is a friendly environment with a lot of laughter! We rotate through the dances with a different dance style every week. You don't need to come with a partner. For me, this has definitely been the best thing to come out of this pandemic year.

Eugene Ragghianti: The Italian Festival Carnevale and the Co-ordinating Italian Festival which produces the Italian Festival have engaged Brazilian Dance Fusion on three occasions: once at Carnevale itself and twice at the Carnevale Variety Show at the Marche Club. The troupe has proved itself to be very professional and entertaining with stunning costumes, spirited and varied performances, well choreographed and creatively put together. The audiences have enjoyed diverse brackets such as their 1920s routine, a specially mounted Italian routine which went down very well with the crowds and of course, their signature Brazilian routine, highlighting energised movement, beautiful and well-toned bodies and gorgeous feathers where no expense has been spared. I have no hesitation in recommending them to be contracted to perform in similar situations. Amanda Pengilly: I thought I would never have the time to really get into SOS training, but I found it gave me more time. I learnt how to practice smartly and more efficiently so I could get so much more out of every minute I put in. It turned out to be a real time saving investment because instead of having to spend hours going over the same steps because I had been relying on my faulty memory, I learnt how to make specific notes that reminds me exactly how to do a dance step. I also learnt strategies of how to practice the same thing in different ways so I can learn it quickly and precisely. Short practice sessions now give me what used to take hours, weeks even, to get. Also, I can now apply these things to any step in any dance style. I learnt so much not just about dancing but also about myself. If you’re stuck in a dance rut and aren’t learning anything other than a new step every now and again, or don’t know how to make sure you constantly improve your dancing you really need to do SOS training. If you’re worried about wasting time and money on lessons, SOS training teaches you how to get the most out of every lesson so you’re really saving time and money. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

In the broader spectrum I have learnt how to absorb more information, ability to prioritise, time management, how to have the right mind-set to achieve what I want, how to control my thought process and get rid of excuses. At the end of the day “if you want, you look for opportunities, if you don't – you look for excuse”.Oscar is a result-driven person who teaches you how to get maximum results in a very short period of time. It doesn't mean that it's easy but by going through his own method, by trusting his vast knowledge and experience, the word “impossible” becomes obsolete. It were mentally and physically challenging 30 days, we didn't know what we are going to get by the end of it, but when we came to a finish line, all bruised, tired and out of breath, the sense of achievement was overwhelming.This journey is just a beginning of your new path in life, your new You. If you want to improve your life, be a better person, learn new skills that you can apply in your everyday life – this journey is for you. And it's all done through dancing. Being a great social dancer is a by-product and bonus to the this training :
Johnny Le: I have been dancing for a few years now and have been to a few studios over the years. After going to Elite Synergy, I found that if I truly wanted to learn "how to dance", whether it be socially or professionally, Oscar Castellanos would be the teacher to go to. He takes his teaching seriously and have spent and continues to spend a tremendous amount of time to develop a dancing structure that will allow you to learn how to dance to your full potential. All is asked is that you come with an open mind to learn! Oscar has made me see the true meaning of social dancing and that the learning journey can be just as valuable as the results itself. He has opened my eyes to a deeper meaning of "fun", "fulfilment", "challenge" and "confidence" through teaching me how to dance. Whether you want to tackle your footwork, musicality, lead and follow, body stamina, mentality or just the learning part in general, he has got a formula for each and everyone. Rebecca Davis: We began dancing in preparation for our wedding but are having such a ball we will continue after the wedding! While not a natural dancer or even a particularly rhythmic person group classes such as “musicality” and “lead and follow” have helped to develop skills in addition to our private tuition so that I feel confident about doing our wedding dance and dancing in general. Tatjan Cannot: As I met Oscar, all I really wanted to do is learn Bachata and Salsa. Latin and Ballroom dancing didn’t interest me, but when he gave me a taste of Ballroom Tango, followed by Latin Rumba and others I found lots of liking to the discovery of those art forms of dance. There was a world of knowledge to be gained and I loved it. At those times he only offered private lessons, which made me at first very worried about overpriced danced lessons. This was fortunately not the case.I’m all about wanting to know details. So, one aspect that I love about Oscar Castellanos services is that he has taught me the art of dancing with all its intricacies and nuancesOne quality, I absolutely love/hate though admire about Oscar is that he has the courage to bring me to my wits ends, for my own good, so I can alter attributes that are not supporting me in progressing into an amazing dancer. Often Oscar has put himself at risk of losing students for the sake of giving them what is best for their dancing progress and not giving up until the students come to an understanding of the value behind his, at times, ‘mad’ teaching methods. Not many people have the courage as he has to act like a reflecting mirror so that you can see the beauty within you and when necessary also will help you see your ugly side so you as a student can do something about it to change it.Adding onto his brownie points, what amazes me is that after 1 ½ years there was not one group class or private lesson that was ever the same. Oscar always keeps us on the ball, moving and teaches new aspects of learning how to dance. I definitely recommend Elite Synergy’s dance teaching services to anyone who really wants to learn to dance. The lessons are very affordable; teachers are well trained, knowledgeable, friendly and have been extremely flexible to my ever changing roster needs as a shift worker.All in all, I found I’ve got out of dancing more than I could’ve ever thought applicable. Roselyn phoned me to lock in a time that suited us straight away and I can’t remember how many times I kept repeating to her that I’m not a dancer. I was so nervous for our first trial lesson, But you are greeted with such love like you’ve always been coming and this is your home that we both instantly felt more at ease.We chose 6 private lessons in the lead up to our wedding. In our first lesson we learnt how to box step, I left feeling confident and not overwhelmed at all.Our instructor Roi was phenomenal, he slowly built up dance moves and in our last few lessons when we had our feet all worked out he helped us with our hand styling.On our wedding day I walked out onto the dance floor so confident, ready to show off our dance.I’m still not a dancer by any means but I could rip out or first dance routine anytime any place with confidence.We can’t recommend and thank Quick Steps enough for being the highlight of our wedding preparations and a time to connect with each other during a very busy time.Kirsten and Josh

VMS is a highly organised dance studio and all of my daughters dance teachers are extremely skilled dancers who are very supportive and encouraging to all their students. VMS end of year concerts are very entertaining and showcases all the dancers and all the various dance genres that VMS offer. The costumes are great too! Alison P: Moving to Vital Movement Studios in 2022 has opened up a greater choice in dance styles and activities for our child. Vanessa and her incredible staff create a supportive and encouraging environment for students to work hard and achieve some incredible personal goals. We’ve participated in several professional annual end of year stage productions and really appreciate the organisation and communication provided to parents. It’s great to have dates for extra rehearsals, put together days and dress rehearsals in the diary from early in the year. The photo days have been great fun too and we have some beautiful memories of our child’s dance journey.
