Lincoln College, Adelaide: what do users think?

Julia Wallace: Professional staff

Tom Holmes: A wonderful first place for students leaving home. Good location close to the city. Makes life easy so you can focus on study.

Jenny Tran: Choosing to live at Lincoln College during my study in Adelaide has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. As a new student in Adelaide, I received a huge amount of support from Lincoln staff and residents from the moment I moved in and I also made lifelong friends during my stay.

Jessica Lai: My decision to stay at Lincoln College has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Having grown up in a small city, Lincoln College has been a home away from home. Lincoln College advocates a very welcoming and inclusive community, which made it easy for me to leave home for the first time. The staff are very supportive and always willing to help. I've met and made some lifelong friends. If you are looking at studying in Adelaide and are considering your accommodation options, I would highly recommend Lincoln College.Thank you to Paul Tosch and all the wonderful staff at Lincoln College.

Jasjyot Khanduja: Best accommodation for University students. Meals 3 times a day, supportive community and academic help make it an amazing place to live. Truly a home away from home.

Liam Harrison: Lincoln college is the greatest accomodation I’ve ever stayed in, the friends I’ve made here are ones I’ll keep for my entire life. I was hesitant coming into this environment, however I quickly found that it was very accepting and fun. Events organised are always fun and the structure of the college is extremely thorough. Easily the best place for uni students to stay!

Edrick Koh: Lincoln deserves a 5 star rating. It provides everything a university student needs, from its holistic support from friendly seniors coaching you with subjects you’re unclear about in Uni to a library of textbooks saving yourself hundreds of dollars every year on school supplies. For an international student like myself, I was given the chance to get out of my comfort zone and meet and befriend local australian students. Lincoln also provides a community and culture that I guarantee all university students will enjoy. The fellowship that lincoln provides does not just end at your time at lincoln. They recently just invited us to their annual lincoln singapore reunion, bringing together lincolnites in singapore spanning over 5 generations. I definitely recommend aspiring university students both domestically and internationally alike to consider lincoln as their first choice of university accommodation when they come to adelaide.

Wen Nee Teh: Lincoln has been a home for many University students throughout their stay in Adelaide. It is beautiful inside out.Within the Lincoln community, you can feel the warmth, welcoming and friendly environment everywhere and anywhere you go. The rooms and common areas within the premises are constantly being renovated to keep the place looking fresh and aesthetically pleasing! Here's a little tips for those international students: Don't stay in your shell while studying aboard! Lincoln not only provide you a place to eat and sleep, it also gives you the chance to mingle around with the community and experience the Aussie lifestyle. Not to forget, the life long friends that you will be making along the way!Missing every little bit of it!

Josiah Saunders: I lived here for six years, and felt at home from the first night. I had come from the countryside and was grateful to have people in the college community show me around the city and help me with navigating university for the first time. The community is a great environment to live and study in, and the college has helpful resources and support for studying and student welfare. It was wonderful living with people from country, city, and international backgrounds, and being able to learn about their perspectives and areas of study, which is something I wouldn't have had if I'd lived elsewhere. There is an amazing emphasis by the college on building a positive community for people to succeed and feel welcome in. I'm thankful for the opportunities, support, and experiences I had while living here.

Ivano Ivano Jnr: Moving to Australia from abroad to study, Lincoln College staff went well out of their way to make me feel very welcome and make sure my arrival and settlement in Adelaide went as smoothly as possible. I was picked up from the airport at no charge and allocated a room specifically catered to my preferences. The principal Paul then went on further to show me around the campus suggesting other rooms that he thought would be great for me. All of this making my first few days in Australia as an international student such a positive experience and leaving with me a long-lasting impression of Lincoln College and the people of Australia.I cannot recommend highly enough a residential college if you're an international student or moving interstate. The only experience you can have at Lincoln is a positive one and definitely one you won't forget anytime soon.

Grace Parker: or internationally, I cannot recommend Lincoln highly enough. The college culture at Lincoln is something that is special and unique, and they set an example to other colleges of what a modern Australian university college should be.Lincoln offers a wide range of social and sporting activities for students, including one-offs like music night, international night and casino night, and regular events like hot chocolate or wine and cheese by the firepit evenings

Gene Bennetts: When I moved from interstate to study in South Australia for University I had to look no further than Lincoln College. I got 3 meals a day, my own private fully furnished room and access to heaps of team sports. The atmosphere is thrilling and easy going. Very affordable compared to most other Adelaide student accommodation. It's only 15-20 minutes walk to the CBD and Uni. Fantastic welcoming culture and traditions. Definitely worth the money and perfect for meeting people before moving out to your own house. I'll never forget the experiences and people I've met here.

Jared Yeap: Good vibes, Good people, Conducive space for a prospective uni student

St Mark's College, Adelaide: what do users think?

Bianca Feher: coming to st mark's is one of the best decisions i have ever made. it's become my home, and my fellow collegians have become my family. the opportunities and experiences at college are extremely valuable and i would honestly be kicking myself if i did not come to college. as for the critical media coverage of the past few years- come and talk to the staff and students who live here, we'd be happy to talk about our own experiences here, and you'll find that they're all super positive because mark's is an amazing place to live.

Mrs. A-L: I wrote this back in 2020 and then edited it at the end, which refreshed it as new.So disappointing that people who have never seen or been to the college felt the need to write negative reviews, which shows how small-minded some people are and how they happy to be spoon-fed their information. We decided to ignore the hyped media and knee-jerk reviews from "outraged viewers" basing their opinions on TV and visit multiple colleges in Adelaide and do the work ourselves. After a long process of looking at boarding schools, we chose St. Marks. Having our firstborn head off to boarding school was a big deal, but we are so happy with the decision we made. St. Marks has been nothing but a supportive, nurturing environment. The support from staff, older students, and the leadership team has been outstanding. We would highly recommend this boarding college and suggest you ignore the reviews written by armchair warriors and go look for yourself. Highly recommended - very happy with our decision.Edit: Our child ended up staying for four years at St. Marks. I can’t recommend this place enough and be forever thankful to the mentoring and leadership teams.

Quinn M: Highly recommend student accommodation.

Leela lee (LeilaLee): Absolutely no regrets sending our son to St.Marks. It has been nothing but a nurturing, safe environment for him to move into. As a quiet lad moving from the country to the city, St Marks offered a supportive safe place for him to grow. Lifelong friends made. We are so happy with our decision.

Ellen Cheng: Meal is the best in Adelaide from what I heard. Vey safe area and nice campus.

Malcolm Hicks: Fantastic opportunity for students to get a great start in life

M Raza: Nice location

Michael Dissel: Adelaide's best university residential accommodation

olivia white: The most welcoming, supportive and inclusive community you could come across. Beyond thankful I chose to call St Mark's my home.

Dana Hurrell: St Ann’s College has given me opportunities I never thought I’d have along with friends I will keep for the rest of my life. At St Ann’s, I don’t feel like a customer, I feel like a friend! It’s incredible to see how much St Ann’s has improved over the past 3 years that I’ve lived there, and it’s truly inspiring to see their hopes in continuing to ensure that the students and their goals are number one priority. The culture is based on encouragement and support to help all students reach their fullest potential in a safe and exclusive environment. It is both a home-away-from-home and an experience like no other.

Donna Pierce: Great experience

Oozybuzzbuzz Gaming: Old historic building

Paul Newland: As a former student who moved from country Victoria to Adelaide, I cannot recommend St Ann's enough to potential students and families of students. The community is extremely welcoming of all people, regardless of where you are from. The multiple study areas are state of the art and accessible at any time to all students. The amenities are also of great condition. If you ever get a chance to attend, I would take the opportunity with both hands, as I have no regrets attending.

Shanon Govindan: Moving from Sydney, St Ann's was a home away from home. Starting uni in new city was an exciting but nerve racking time however after two weeks at college I felt right at home and now have life long friends and skills

Emma Waide: Moving into St Ann’s made moving to Adelaide from regional NSW for university so much easier for me! I’ve made life long friends, received amazing career guidance, and had the best leadership opportunities which have given me life long skills. The support network there helped me find my feet and made me feel safe and supported in a stressful period. My life truly would not be the same without living at St Ann’s.
