The Collins Bar: what do users think?

JONK3R: The main room hosts a large range of hard liquors, from your average whisky and gins to the pricier stuff. Plenty of seating options and service was efficient and friendly. The main room windows were open despite it being the middle of winter so we opted for the small room to the left which hosts about 25-30 people and was toasty warm. Crowd ranged from a handful of twenty somethings, but mostly groups aged 35+. Was a great option for a nightcap, but they’re not open very late being a hotel bar.

Fiona Nguyen: Best Passionfruit Magarita in town. Open late on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s nice to sit in the corner and look at the Victoria Square.

Zahra Sahara: The Collins Bar, situated in the Hilton Hotel, has hands down the friendliest staff I have encountered in a while. The ambiance of the venue is fantastic and you can enjoy stunning views of Victoria Square while sipping on your cocktail or beverage of choice. Overall, an amazing spot for a night out!

Issy: beautiful service and tasty cocktails! i would say that it’s on the pricier side, so just be aware of that if you’re looking for something cheaper!

The Bibliotheca Bar and Book Exchange: what do users think?

Jacopo Guidone: Beautiful bar in the main center of Adelaide , good cocktails and especially nice the signatures one . The bartender was friendly and recommend my girlfriend a cocktails that she really like .Ps : Maybe could just improve by adding some more tequilas in the menu .

Paulii: It's not often a themed bar gets it right but Bibliotheca is on point. It's a cosy, tucked away bar with a definitive library feel. My friend and I got a cocktail each, The Drink That Shall Not Be Named and The Golden Ticket. Both of these were incredible, as was the service. Our bartender knew her stuff and correctly chose our drinks to suit us when we asked for help. I also enjoyed perusing all the secondhand books on the shelves and the traditional green library lamps scattered around the room. Really want to go back with friends because this is a place I want to show off, especially as an avid book lover.

Fiona Putt: Great little spot with awesome cocktails

melissa Gent: he not only has amazing service but nearly two years ago he helped me by calling an ambulance for my son when he had a medical emergency. Ever since that whenever we have seen him he has always been amazing and remembered both my partner and I and always asks how my son is doing.

Avijeet Sen: , the Honey Pot, and the Silmaril.Take a counter seat to see some interesting and ‘fiery’ cocktail preparation techniques. All in all, this cocktail bar is a must visit if you’re in Adelaide.

Emma: Great atmosphere and wonderful staff who are queer friendly. The place had a good volume so friends could still talk easily.Drinks selection was wonderful, and there were lots of non alcohol options.Highly recommended.

Terry Nicolitsis: We came in around 10pm, and the venue was already busy, there must have been at least 12 people waiting, I can tell you we didn't even wait long, host was very welcoming and offered us a table, drinks followed not long after, bar snacks were just what we needed, great service and big smiles. Just enquired about a function for 30p cause I think the space is perfect. See you all this weekend. Nick Karapetis

Bar Peripheral: what do users think?

Bane Williams: Listen, I don’t usually do this whole “love letter to a bar” thing. It’s just not my style. But Bar Peripheral, well, that place is different. It’s like stepping into a speakeasy in a forgotten dream. You feel this… magic, this weird vibe like the world’s running on a secret clock, a clock that understands that knowledge and passion are the only currencies worth a damn. The truth is, I’ve spent more time in that dark corner of the world than I’d care to admit. You’re never too far away from its siren call, that little voice in the back of your head whispering, “Hey, you want a good time? Go to Peripheral. You know you do.” The shelves are stacked with every damn bottle under the sun, and you get the feeling that every single one of them has a story, a reason for being there. You know, it’s like learning a language, not one you’d find in a textbook. Each drink is a conversation. Those behind the bar, they’re getting to know you, and you’re getting to know them. It’s this beautiful exchange, you both come away a little richer for it.Don’t get me wrong, the drinks are phenomenal. But we’ve all had those “exceptional cocktail” reviews. I’m talking about something deeper. This place, it challenges you. It throws you a curveball, something you’d normally scoff at, and then… bam! It changes you. I used to be one of those “no rum” guys. Couldn’t stomach it, not even in the most dedicated rum bar. But at Bar Peripheral, I told Vini, quite simply “I don’t like rum.” and that mischievous glint in his eyes, well, by the end of the night, I was eating my words. In the food scene, we talk about “cook’s eats” – places where cooks can just relax and enjoy a good meal. If there where "chef's drinks" this would be it. Dark, quiet, intimate, eccentric, a bit cheeky, and definitely, definitely not for everyone. A place to remove yourself from bright lights, loud noise, and constant visual clutter. Somewhere where after a few moments, the whole world melts away and you are just there, able to sit and relax and truly just 'enjoy'. A place that leaves you with a smile on your face and treasured memories. That, my friends, is exactly why it’s so damn special.

Jeremy Shapiro: Simply incredible - don’t want to detract from the experience by sharing too much … enough to say this was the best bar experience I have had. Vini - you are a true master of your art. No drinks menu ? That freaked me out initially but run with it - let Vini know what you like and what you want … great value, great service - a night to remember

Maybe Mae: what do users think?

Avijeet Sen: . The entrance is sort of “hidden”. The restaurant Bread & Bone and Maybe Mae are located in the same building, expect that for Maybe Mae you go downstairs to the basement and then try to find the “invisible door” 🙂Ended up trying 4 drinks - Bill Murray, Corpse Reviver, Odd Company and Poolside. Every drink was really good. I’d recommend folks to try more stuff from their ‘Hall of Fame’ menu. This place is a 100% recommendation for cocktail enthusiasts visiting Adelaide.

bonbon and pumpkin: When I arrived it has just opened and I was the first one in the establishment, which was very relaxing.Staff were extremely friendly and explained how everything worked

She was an absolute gun with making every drink as soon as the docket was placed in front of her and she did it with a smile and charm. Every drink tasted amazing and I could tell it was made with love. India kept everything stocked and could tell she enjoyed working in a team in a busy environment. Great place

KURTIS SKUSE: The experience at The Howling Owl was incredible. Walking in, I was totally in love with the aesthetic of the room. It felt like a earth-bound, rustic bar that made you feel like you’re travelling in the hills and you stop by to enjoy the local flavour. The food was great! Ordered the Ham & Cheese sandwich and some drinks, enjoyed it through its every detail! It didn’t just feel like a regular sandwich, it was definitely made with passion!Overall great place, definitely recommend everyone to go here. I Can’t wait to come back and try more off the generous selection they have!

Jodie Fraser: We held our daughter's 21st at The Howling Owl. What an awesome venue. From when we first booked the event Rachel and the team were outstanding. Their communication was excellent. Everything we discussed regarding the event was actioned. The staff on the evening were fantastic. Everything went to plan and our guests absolutely loved the evening. They were raving about the venue and 'the vibe'. The retro pieces of furniture and the cool artwork added an extra touch to the venue. The long bar bench was perfect for a grazing platter too. There was ample seating for those that wanted to chill out and plenty of room for dancing too. Every aspect of the venue and the event was perfection. Thank you Rachel and the team. It was a special and memorable event for my daughter and out family. Many thanksJodie and Andrew Fraser

Avijeet Sen: Visited in Sep 2024Made a visit to Hains & Co during my recent trip to Adelaide. It was one of the 3 cocktail bars I went to in ADL, the other ones being Maybe Mae and Bibliotheca. Hains has decent cocktails but nothing stood out for me personally. The Smuggler’s Soul cocktail was my fav among the ones I tried.Overall a decent bar which is worth a visit.

Lorena McIntyre: Incredible little hidden gem of a bar, Kristian and Josh took great care of us. Will definitely be back!

Charlie Hannemann: Such a fun place, never a dull moment with the movers and shakers behind the bar, shout out to Wilson for the whisky sours!

Matt Richards: love love love this place!! such good food, brilliant atmosphere and decor, always so cozy and warm. but the highlight is undoubtedly the amazing bartenders, who are so inviting and make the BEST cocktails. I was served by Zoe, who was so quick with our drinks and did it all with a big smile on her face. very impressed by her and the rest of the team, i’d recommend this place to everyone 11/10

anika weltweit (anikaweltweit): We found a great selection of magical drinks in the small bar. We particularly liked the effect with the color change and division into the Hogwarts houses. The advice on non-alcoholic drinks was very good, there was a price reduction for it.Due to the size there is no toilet.

Lana C: Nice place but feel like they pick and choose which cocktails they put effort in to, reasonably priced though and just a bit of feedback the cocktails are so sweet to the point they are sickening and not enjoyable, almost every single cocktail offered is mixed with lemonade nothing different everything is bubbly

Norman Stokes: Amazing drinks. Won’t be disappointed
